6. 6EUvaan israelilaisten luo. He ovat Jumalan kadonneita lampaita.BSBBSB: Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel.
7. 7EUIlmoittakaa heille, että Jumalan valtakunta on nyt hyvin lähellä.BSBBSB: As you go, preach this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near.’
8. 8EUParantakaa sairaita, herättäkää kuolleita, puhdistakaa lepratautisia ja ajakaa ihmisistä pahoja henkiä. Antakaa ilmaiseksi niin kuin olette itsekin saaneet!BSBBSB: Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.
9. 9EUÄlkää ottako mukaanne rahaa, eväslaukkua, ylimääräisiä vaatteita, kenkiä tai edes matkasauvaa. Ne ihmiset, joita autatte, pitävät teistä huolta.BSBBSB: Do not take along any gold or silver or copper in your belts.

13. 14EUJos teitä ei oteta vastaan jossakin kaupungissa tai kodissa, pudistakaa paikan tomut jaloistanne ja lähtekää eteenpäin.BSBBSB: And if anyone will not welcome you or heed your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town.
14. 15EUTuomiopäivänä on Sodomalla ja Gomorrallakin helpompaa kuin sillä.BSBBSB: Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.
15. 16EULähetän teidät kuin lampaat susien keskelle. Olkaa harkitsevia kuin käärme ja viattomia kuin kyyhkynen.BSBBSB: Behold, I am sending you out like sheep among wolves; therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.
16. 17EUPitäkää varanne, sillä teitä vangitaan, viedään oikeuteen ja ruoskitaan synagogissa.BSBBSB: But beware of men, for they will hand you over to their councils and flog you in their synagogues.
17. 18EUMinun takiani joudutte maaherrojen ja hallitsijoiden kuulusteltaviksi. Silloin saatte tilaisuuden kertoa minusta heille – ja samalla todistatte koko maailmalle.BSBBSB: On My account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles.
18. 19EUKun teidät pidätetään, älkää olko huolissanne siitä, mitä sanoisitte oikeudessa. Teille annetaan oikeat sanat oikeana hetkenä.BSBBSB: But when they hand you over, do not worry about how to respond or what to say. In that hour you will be given what to say.
19. 20EUTeidän ei tarvitse itse osata puhua, vaan Jumalan Henki puhuu teidän välityksellänne.BSBBSB: For it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
20. 21EUVeli ilmiantaa veljensä ja isät lähettävät lapsensa kuolemaan. Lapset nousevat vanhempiaan vastaan ja vievät heidät kuolemaan.BSBBSB: Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rise against their parents and have them put to death.
21. 22EUKaikki vihaavat teitä siksi, että olette minun omiani. Mutta jokainen, joka kestää loppuun asti, pelastuu.BSBBSB: You will be hated by everyone because of My name, but the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.
22. 23EUKun teitä vainotaan jossakin kaupungissa, paetkaa toiseen. Tulen takaisin, ennen kuin olette ehtineet viedä ilosanoman kaikkiin Israelin kaupunkeihin!BSBBSB: When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next. Truly I tell you, you will not reach all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
23. 24EUOppilas ei ole suurempi opettajaansa eikä palvelija isäntäänsä.BSBBSB: A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master.
24. 25EUOppilas saa saman kohtalon kuin opettajansa. Palvelijan käy samalla tavoin kuin isäntänsä. Jos minua on sanottu paholaiseksi, varmasti teitäkin sanotaan.BSBBSB: It is enough for a disciple to be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebul, how much more the members of his household!
25. 26EUÄlkää pelätkö ihmisten uhkailuja. Totuus paljastuu aikanaan, ja vastustajienne salajuonet tulevat ilmi.BSBBSB: So do not be afraid of them. For there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, and nothing hidden that will not be made known.
26. 27EUKertokaa ihmisille päivän tultua se, minkä sanon teille nyt, kun vielä on hämärä. Julistakaa katoilta, mitä kuiskaan korvaanne.BSBBSB: What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the housetops.
27. 28EUÄlkää pelätkö ihmisiä, jotka voivat tappaa ruumiinne, mutta eivät voi viedä teiltä ikuista elämää. Pelätkää sen sijaan Jumalaa, joka voi sulkea kadotukseen sekä sielun että ruumiin.BSBBSB: Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
28. 29EUMikä on varpusen hinta? Puoli penniä? Yksikään lintu ei putoa maahan Isänne tietämättä.BSBBSB: Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.
29. 30EUHän jopa tietää hiustenne luvun.BSBBSB: And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
30. 31EUÄlkää siis huolehtiko mistään, sillä olettehan te toki hänelle varpusia arvokkaammat.BSBBSB: So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
31. 32EUJos joku tunnustaa julkisesti minut ystäväkseen, minäkin tunnustan hänet ystäväkseni Isäni edessä.BSBBSB: Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father in heaven.
32. 33EUJos taas joku julkisesti kieltää minut, minäkin kiellän tuntevani häntä Isäni edessä, joka on taivaassa.BSBBSB: But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven.
33. 34EUÄlkää kuvitelko, että minä olen tullut tuomaan maailmaan rauhaa – paremminkin päinvastoin!BSBBSB: Do not assume that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
34. 35EUMinun takiani poika riitaantuu isänsä kanssa, tytär äitinsä ja miniä anoppinsa kanssa.BSBBSB: For I have come to turn ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
35. 36EUMonen ihmisen pahimmiksi vihamiehiksi tulevat hänen omaisensa.BSBBSB: A man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’
36. 37EUJos rakastat isääsi ja äitiäsi enemmän kuin minua, et sovi minulle. Jos rakastat poikaasi tai tytärtäsi enemmän kuin minua, et myöskään sovi minulle.BSBBSB: Anyone who loves his father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me;
37. 38EUEllet suostu kantamaan ristiäsi ja seuraamaan minua, et ole sopiva oppilaakseni.BSBBSB: and anyone who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me.
38. 39EUJos yrität pitää kiinni omasta elämästäsi, menetät sen, mutta jos luovut siitä minun takiani, pelastat sen.BSBBSB: Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
39. 40EUJoka ottaa vastaan teidät, ottaa samalla vastaan minut. Joka taas ottaa vastaan minut, ottaa vastaan Jumalan, joka minut lähetti.BSBBSB: He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives the One who sent Me.
40. 41EUJos otatte luoksenne profeetan siksi, että hän on Jumalan palvelija, saatte saman palkan kuin profeetta. Jos otatte luoksenne Jumalan ihmisen siksi, että hän elää Jumalan tahdon mukaan, teille annetaan sama palkka kuin hänelle.BSBBSB: Whoever receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and whoever receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward.
41. 42EUJos annatte vaikkapa vain lasillisen kylmää vettä jollekin vähäiselle seuraajalleni, saatte siitä varmasti palkan.»BSBBSB: And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is My disciple, truly I tell you, he will never lose his reward.”
