What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open.
8 GLT Je connais tes oeuvres; voici, j'ai placé devant toi une porte ouverte que personne ne peut fermer. Je sais que tu as peu de force, mais tu as obéi à ma parole et tu n'as pas renié mon nom. BSB BSB: I know your deeds. Behold, I have placed before you an open door, which no one can shut. I know that you have only a little strength, yet you have kept My word and have not denied My name.

J'écrirai sur lui le nom de mon Dieu, le nom de la cité de mon Dieu, (la nouvelle Jérusalem qui descend du ciel, d'auprès de mon Dieu), et mon nouveau nom. 16 GLT Mais puisque tu es tiède, ni chaud ni froid, je suis sur le point de te vomir de ma bouche. BSB BSB: So because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to vomit you out of My mouth!
17 GLT Car tu te dis: «Je suis riche, j'ai obtenu beaucoup de biens matériels et je n'ai besoin de rien.» Mais tu ne sais pas que tu es plus misérable, pitoyable, pauvre, aveugle et nu. BSB BSB: You say, ‘I am rich; I have grown wealthy and need nothing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked.
18 GLT Écoutes mon conseil: achètes de moi l'or purifié par le feu, afin que tu deviennes riche et des vêtements blancs brillants afin que tu puisses te couvrir et ne pas montrer la honte de ta nudité. Achètes du baume pour oindre tes yeux afin que tu puisses voir. BSB BSB: I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, white garments so that you may be clothed and your shameful nakedness not exposed, and salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see.
19 GLT J'apprends et j'enseigne à tous ceux que j'aime, la manière dont il doivent vivre. Sois donc sérieux et repens-toi. BSB BSB: Those I love I rebuke and discipline. Therefore be earnest and repent.
20 GLT Voici je me tiens à la porte et je frappe. Si quelqu'un écoute ma voix et m'ouvre, j'entrerai dans sa maison, je mangerai avec lui et lui avec moi. BSB BSB: Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him, and he with Me.
