1 GLT Frères, le désir de mon cœur et ma prière à Dieu pour eux, c'est qu'ils soient sauvés. BSB BSB: Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is for their salvation.
2 GLT Car je témoigne à leur sujet qu'ils ont du zèle pour Dieu, mais pas selon la connaissance. BSB BSB: For I testify about them that they are zealous for God, but not on the basis of knowledge.
3 GLT Ils ignorent la justice de Dieu et ils essayent d'établir leur propre justice. Ils ne se sont pas soumis à la justice de Dieu. BSB BSB: Because they were ignorant of God’s righteousness and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.
4 GLT Car Christ est l'accomplissement de la loi pour la justification de quiconque croit. BSB BSB: For Christ is the end of the law, to bring righteousness to everyone who believes.
5 GLT En effet, Moïse écrit au sujet de la justice qui vient de la loi: «Celui qui pratique la justice de la loi vivra par cette justice.» BSB BSB: For concerning the righteousness that is by the law, Moses writes: “The man who does these things will live by them.”
6 GLT Mais la justice qui vient de la foi dit ceci: «Ne dis pas en ton cœur: "qui montera au ciel?" (c'est en faire descendre Christ.) BSB BSB: But the righteousness that is by faith says: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ (that is, to bring Christ down)
7 GLT Et ne dis pas "qui descendra dans l'abîme?" (c'est faire remonter Christ d'entre les morts.)» BSB BSB: or, ‘Who will descend into the Abyss?’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).”
8 GLT Mais que dit-elle? «La parole est près de toi, dans ta bouche et dans ton cœur.» Telle est la parole de foi que nous proclamons. BSB BSB: But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming:
9 GLT Car si tu confesses de ta bouche que Jésus est Seigneur, et si tu crois dans ton cœur que Dieu l'a ressuscité des morts, tu seras sauvé. BSB BSB: that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 GLT Car c'est du cœur que l'homme croit pour la justice, et c'est de la bouche qu'il confesse pour le salut. BSB BSB: For with your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and are saved.
11 GLT Car il est écrit: «quiconque croit en lui ne sera pas confus.» BSB BSB: It is just as the Scripture says: “Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame.”
12 GLT Il n'y a pas de différence entre un juif et un grec. Le même Seigneur est Seigneur pour tous et il est riche envers tous ceux qui l'invoquent. BSB BSB: For there is no difference between Jew and Greek: The same Lord is Lord of all, and gives richly to all who call on Him,
14 GLT Comment donc peuvent-ils l'invoquer, lui en qui ils n'ont pas cru? Et comment pourront-ils croire en lui, lui dont ils n'ont pas entendu parler? Et comment vont-ils entendre s'il n'y a pas quelqu'un qui prêche? BSB BSB: How then can they call on the One in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach?
15 GLT Et comment peuvent-ils prêcher s'ils ne sont pas envoyés? Selon qu'il est écrit: «Qu'ils sont beaux les pieds de ceux qui annoncent de bonnes nouvelles.» BSB BSB: And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
16 GLT Mais ils n'ont pas tous écouté l'évangile. Car Esaïe dit: «Seigneur, qui a cru à notre message?» BSB BSB: But not all of them welcomed the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?”
17 GLT Alors, la foi vient de ce qu'on écoute, et ce qu'on écoute par la parole de Christ. BSB BSB: Consequently, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
18 GLT Mais je dis: «n'ont-ils pas entendu?» Si, très certainement! «Le son de leur voix a retenti sur toute la terre et leurs paroles jusqu'aux extrémités du monde.» BSB BSB: But I ask, did they not hear? Indeed they did: “Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”
19 GLT Bien plus, je dis: «Israël, n'a t-elle pas su?» Premièrement, Moïse dit: «je provoquerai votre jalousie par ce qui n'est pas une nation. Grâce à une nation sans intelligence, je déclencherai votre colère.» BSB BSB: I ask instead, did Israel not understand? First, Moses says: “I will make you jealous by those who are not a nation; I will make you angry by a nation without understanding.”
20 GLT Et Esaïe est très courageux et dit: «j'etais retrouvé par ceux qui ne m'ont pas cherché. Je me suis montré à ceux qui n'ont pas fait appel à moi.» BSB BSB: And Isaiah boldly says: “I was found by those who did not seek Me; I revealed Myself to those who did not ask for Me.”
21 GLT Mais concernant Israël il dit: «J'ai étendu mes mains toute la journée vers un peuple désobéissant et rebelle.» BSB BSB: But as for Israel he says: “All day long I have held out My hands to a disobedient and obstinate people.”
