2 ULB Prêche la Parole. Sois prêt à temps et à contre temps. Réprimande, censure, exhorte, avec toute patience et enseignement. BSB BSB: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction.
3 ULB Car le temps viendra où les gens ne supporteront plus la saine doctrine. Plutôt, ils collectionneront pour eux-mêmes des enseignants qui enseignent ce qui est en accord avec leurs propres desirs. ils chatouilleront leurs oreilles. BSB BSB: For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires.

7 ULB J'ai combattu le bon combat; J'ai fini la course; J'ai gardé la foi. BSB BSB: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
8 ULB La couronne de justice a été réservée pour moi, la couronne que le Seigneur, le juste juge, me donnera en ce jour. Et non pas à moi seul, mais aussi à tous ceux qui ont aimé son avenement. BSB BSB: From now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but to all who crave His appearing.
9 ULB Fais de ton mieux pour venir me voir rapidement. BSB BSB: Make every effort to come to me quickly,
10 ULB Car Démas m'a abandonné. Il aime le siècle présent et il est parti à Thessalonique. Crescens est allé en Galatie, et Tite en Dalmatie. BSB BSB: because Demas, in his love of this world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia.

14 ULB Alexandre le forgeron a commis beaucoup de mauvaises actions contre moi. Le Seigneur lui rendra selon ses oeuvres. BSB BSB: Alexander the coppersmith did great harm to me. The Lord will repay him according to his deeds.
15 ULB Vous devez aussi vous mefier de lui, car il s'est fortement opposé à nos paroles. BSB BSB: You too should beware of him, for he has vigorously opposed our message.
16 ULB Lors de ma première défense, personne ne m'a assisté. Au contraire tout le monde m'a abandonné. Que cela ne leur soit point imputé. BSB BSB: At my first defense, no one stood with me, but everyone deserted me. May it not be charged against them.
17 ULB Mais c'est le Seigneur qui m'a assisté et m'a fortifié, pour que par moi, la prédication soit pleinement accomplie, et que tous les païens l'entendent. J'ai été délivré de la gueule du lion. BSB BSB: But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message would be fully proclaimed, and all the Gentiles would hear it. So I was delivered from the mouth of the lion.
18 ULB Le Seigneur me délivrera de toutes oeuvres mauvaises et me sauvera pour Son Royaume Céleste. A lui soit la gloire au siècle des siècles. Amen BSB BSB: And the Lord will rescue me from every evil action and bring me safely into His heavenly kingdom. To Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
