1. 1GMVEኢስራኤሌ ኣሳዉ! ኢንቴ ጊሻስ ታ ዚላሊዛ ዚላስ ሲዪቴ።BSBBSB: Hear this word, O house of Israel, this lamentation I take up against you:
2. 2GMVE«ጌላኦያ ኢስራኤሌይ ኩንዳዱስ፤ ናምኣንꬆ ዴንዳናስ ዳንዳዩኩ፤ ኢዞ ማዲ ዴንꬃናይ ባይንዳ ጊሻስ ኢዛ ባርካ ባ ዴሬን ኩንዳ ኣታና።»BSBBSB: “Fallen is Virgin Israel, never to rise again. She lies abandoned on her land, with no one to raise her up.”
3. 3GMVEኡባ ሃሪዛ ጎዳይ፥ «ኢስራኤሌ ካታማ ኢሲኔይፔ 1,000 ኦላንቻቲ ኦላስ ባናሺን ኢስታፌ ሃይቆንታ ፓጻ ኣታናይ 100 ኣሳታ ጻላ ጊዳና፤ ሃራ ካታማፔካ 100 ኦላ ኣሳቲ ኦላስ ባናሺን ኢስታፌ 10 ኣሲ ጻላ ሲሚ ያና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: This is what the Lord GOD says: “The city that marches out a thousand strong will have but a hundred left, and the one that marches out a hundred strong will have but ten left in the house of Israel.”
4. 4GMVEጎዳይ ኢስራኤሌ ኣሳስ፥ «ኢስራኤሌ ኣሳዉ! ሃ ታኮ ሲሚቴ፤ ኢንቴ ሃይቆንታ ዴኣና።BSBBSB: For this is what the LORD says to the house of Israel: “Seek Me and live!
5. 5GMVEኢንቴ ቤርሳቤሄ ቦፒቴ፤ ቤቴሌይ ላሌታዳ ሙሌራ ꬋያና፤ ጌልጌላን ዲዛ ኣሳይ ዲኤታና፤ ሄሳ ጊሻስ ቤቴሌ ጊዲን ዎይኮ ጌልጌላ ቦፒቴ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: Do not seek Bethel or go to Gilgal; do not journey to Beersheba, for Gilgal will surely go into exile, and Bethel will come to nothing.
6. 6GMVEሃ ጾሳኮ ሲሚቴ፤ ሂስቲኮ ኢንቴ ሼምፖራ ፓጻ ዴኣና፤ ኣካይ ጊኮ ጾሲ ታማ ማላ ኢስራኤሌ ዴራ ማና፤ ቤቴሌን ዲዛይታካ ታማይ ማና፤ ሄ ታማ ቶይሳናይ ኢስታስ ቤቴና።BSBBSB: Seek the LORD and live, or He will sweep like fire through the house of Joseph; it will devour everything, with no one at Bethel to extinguish it.
7. 7GMVEኢንቴኖ ፒርዳ ጌላሲዛይቶ! ቱማካ ጌዴ ዎርዶን ላሚዛይቶ ኢንቴስ ኣዬ ኣና!BSBBSB: There are those who turn justice into wormwood and cast righteousness to the ground.
8. 8GMVEፒሊያዲሴ ጌቴቲዛ ላፑን ጾሊንቴታኔ ኦርዮኔ ጌቴቲዛ ኢሲ ቦላ ዲዛ ጾሊንቴታ ሜꬊዳይ ጋላሳ ኦማርሳን፥ ኦማርሳ ጋላሳን ላሚዛይ፥ ኣባ ሃꬅ ኣዛዚዲ ቢታ ቦላ ጎጊሲዛይ፥BSBBSB: He who made the Pleiades and Orion, who turns darkness into dawn and darkens day into night, who summons the waters of the sea and pours them over the face of the earth—the LORD is His name—
9. 9GMVEዎልቃማታኔ ኢስታ ሚጻታ ላሊ ꬋይሲዛይ ኢዛ፤ ኢዛስ ሱንꬃይካ ጾሳ።BSBBSB: He flashes destruction on the strong, so that fury comes upon the stronghold.
10. 10GMVEኢንቴ ቃሴ ኢንቴና ፒርዳሶን ሃንቂዛዴ ኢጼታ፤ ቱሙ ሃሳይዛዴካ ካꬌታ።BSBBSB: There are those who hate the one who reproves in the gate and despise him who speaks with integrity.
11. 11GMVEማንቆታ ኡንኤꬄታ፤ ኢስታ ዎልቃራ ካꬅ ጊሪሴታ፤ ኢንቴስ ማሴቲዳ ሹቻፌ ኬꬅ ኬጺዴታ ሺን ሄ ኬꬃን ዴኬታ። ኣራዳ ቢታን ዎይኔ ሚꬃ ቶኪዴታ ሺን ኢዛፔ ኣጌቲዳ ዎይኔ ኡሹ ኡዬኬታ።BSBBSB: Therefore, because you trample on the poor and exact from him a tax of grain, you will never live in the stone houses you have built; you will never drink the wine from the lush vineyards you have planted.
12. 12GMVEኢንቴ ቆሆይ ኣይ ማላ ዳሮኮኔ ኢንቴ ናጋራይ ኣይ ማላ ዴጾኮ ታ ኤራይስ፤ ኢንቴ ጺሎ ኣሳታ ኡንኤꬄታ፤ ማታኤ ኤኪዲ ፒርዳሶን ማንቆታስ ጌላ ፒርዴታ።BSBBSB: For I know that your transgressions are many and your sins are numerous. You oppress the righteous by taking bribes; you deprive the poor of justice in the gate.
13. 13GMVEሄሳ ጊሻስ ሄ ዎዴ ዎዴይ ኢታ ጊዲዳ ጊሻስ ኣኬካይ ዲዛ ኣሲ ጮኡ ጌስ።BSBBSB: Therefore, the prudent keep silent in such times, for the days are evil.
14. 14GMVEኢንቴ ሼምፖራ ፓጻ ዴኣና ማላ ሎኦፔ ኣቲን ኢታ ኦꬆፍቴ፤ ኢንቴ ሄሳꬆ ኦꬂኮ ኢንቴ ጊዳ ማላ ጎዳይ ሳሎ ጾሳይ ኢንቴናራ ጊዳና።BSBBSB: Seek good, not evil, so that you may live. And the LORD, the God of Hosts, will be with you, as you have claimed.
15. 15GMVEኢታ ሚሽ ኢጺቴ፤ ሎኦ ጊዲዳዝ ዶሲቴ፤ ፒርዳ ፒርዲዛሶን ቱሙ ፒርዳ ጌላሶፒቴ። ጎዳይ ሳሎ ጾሳይ ኣቲዳ ኢስራኤሌ ኣሳ ማራናኮ ኦኔ ኤሪዛይ?BSBBSB: Hate evil and love good; establish justice in the gate. Perhaps the LORD, the God of Hosts, will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.”
16. 16GMVEሄሳ ጊሻስ ጎዳይ ሳሎ ጾሳይ፥ «ኦጌ ቦላኔ ዱቡሻይ ዲዛሶን ኡባን ዋሶይኔ ዬሆይ ሲዬታና፤ ጎሻንቻቲ ኮይሳስ ዚላሊዛይቲ ዬሆስ ጼይጌታና።BSBBSB: Therefore this is what the LORD, the God of Hosts, the Lord, says: “There will be wailing in all the public squares and cries of ‘Alas! Alas!’ in all the streets. The farmer will be summoned to mourn, and the mourners to wail.
17. 17GMVEዎይኔ ሚꬂ ቶኬቲዛሶን ኡባን ዬሆ ጻላ ጊዳና፤ ሄሲካ ዉሪ ሃናናይ ታ ኢንቴ ጊዶራ ኣꬊዛ ጊሻሳ» ጌስ።BSBBSB: There will be wailing in all the vineyards, for I will pass through your midst,” says the LORD.
18. 18GMVEኢንቴኖ ጎዳ ጋላስ ናጊዛይቶ! ኢንቴስ ኣዬ ኣና! ሄ ጋላሳይ ꬉማፔ ኣቲን ፖኦ ጋላስ ጊዶንታ ጊሻስ ኢንቴ ኣይስ ሄ ጋላሳ ኮዬቲ?BSBBSB: Woe to you who long for the Day of the LORD! What will the Day of the LORD be for you? It will be darkness and not light.
19. 19GMVEሄ ጋላሳይ ኣሲ ጋሞፌ ኣታናስ ቆቴቲሼ ዛርዶራ ጋጊዛ ማላ ዎይኮ ኬሲ ኤኪ ባሶ ጌሊዲ ባ ኩሼን ኬꬃ ጎዳ ኦይኪን ሾሺ ዱኪዳ ማላ ሃናና።BSBBSB: It will be like a man who flees from a lion, only to encounter a bear, or who enters his house and rests his hand against the wall, only to be bitten by a snake.
20. 20GMVEጎዳይ ፒርዲዛ ጋላሳይ ኢንቴስ ꬉማፔ ኣቲን ፖኦ ጊዴና፤ ሄ ጋላሳይ ኢዛን ኣይኮ ፖኦይካ ባይንዳ ጊርዲ ጊዳ ꬉማ ጊዳና።BSBBSB: Will not the Day of the LORD be darkness and not light, even gloom with no brightness in it?
21. 21GMVE«ታኒ ኢንቴ ላይꬃን ላይꬃን ቦንቺዛ ባኣሌዛ ካꬋይሲኔ ኢጻይስ፤ ኢንቴ ጎይኖስ ሺቂዛ ሺቆይካ ታና ኡፋይሴና።BSBBSB: “I hate, I despise your feasts! I cannot stand the stench of your solemn assemblies.
22. 22GMVEታማን ጹጌቲዛ ያርሾኔ ካꬃ ያርሾ ኢንቴ ታስ ሺሺኮካ ታ ሄሳ ኢንቴፌ ኤኪኬ፤ ꬊኬቲዳ ኢንቴ ሜሄታፔ ኢንቴ ታስ ኢሲፌቴꬃ ያርሾስ ሺሺኮ ታ ኢዛ ኣይፌንካ ጼሊኬ።BSBBSB: Even though you offer Me burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them; for your peace offerings of fattened cattle I will have no regard.
23. 23GMVEኢንቴ ዬጺሼ ታ ሃይꬃን ካጮፍቴ፤ ኢንቴ ዲꬃ ጊሪስ ታ ሲያናስ ኮይኬ።BSBBSB: Take away from Me the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps.
24. 24GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ቱሙ ፒርዳይ ጎጊዛ ሃꬃ ማላ፤ ጺሎቴꬂካ ሚጮንታ ፑልቶ ማላ ጎጎ።BSBBSB: But let justice roll on like a river, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.
25. 25GMVE«ኢስራኤሌ ኣሳዉ! ቱማፔ ኢንቴ ኦይዱ ታሙ ላይꬅ ባዞ ቢታን ዲዛ ዎዴ ቱሙ ያርሾኔ ካꬃ ጼራ ታስ ሺሺዴቲ?BSBBSB: Did you bring Me sacrifices and offerings forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel?
26. 26GMVEኢንቴ ኢንቴስ ኦꬂዳ፥ ‹ካዎ ዛኩቴ› ጌቴቲዛ ኤቃ ጾሳዛ፤ ቃሴካ፥ ‹ኬዌኔ› ጌቴቲዛ ኢንቴ ሜꬊ ኬሲዳ ጾሊንቴ ሚሳቲዛ ኤቃ ጾሳታ ቶኪዴታ።BSBBSB: You have taken along Sakkuth your king and Kaiwan your star god, the idols you made for yourselves.
27. 27GMVEታኒ ኢንቴና ዳማስቆፌ ጌዴ ሃሳ ጎዳና» ጌስ ጎዳይ ሳሎ ጾሳይ።BSBBSB: Therefore I will send you into exile beyond Damascus,” says the LORD, whose name is the God of Hosts.
