1. 1GMVEሾሻይ ጎዳ ጾሳይ ሜꬊዳ ዶኣ ኡባፌ ኣꬊዳ ጌናንቻ፤ ኢሲ ጋላስ ሾሻይ ሄ ማጫሳዮ፥ «ጾሲ ቱሙ ኢንቴና፥ ‹ኤዴኔን ዲዛ ሚꬃ ኣይፌ ኡባፌካ ሞፒቴ› ጊዴ?» ጊ ኦይቺዴስ።BSBBSB: Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field that the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden?’”
2. 2GMVEማጫሳያ ሾሻስ ዛራዳ፥ «ጊዴና! ጾሲ ሄሳꬆ ጊቤና፤ ኑኒ ኤዴኔን ዲዛ ሚꬃታ ኣይፌ ማናስ ዳንዳዮስ፤ ጊዶ ኣቲን ጾሲ ኑና፥ ‹ኤዴኔ ጊዶን ዲዛ ሚꬃ ኣይፌ ሞፒቴ፤ ቦቾፍቴ፤ ሂስቶንታ ኣጊኮ ኢንቴ ሃይቃና› ጊዴስ» ጋዱስ።BSBBSB: The woman answered the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden,
3. 4GMVEሾሻይ ማጫሳዮ፥ «ጊዴና! ኢንቴ ቱማ ሃይቄኬታ፤BSBBSB: “You will not surely die,” the serpent told the woman.
4. 5GMVEጾሲ ሄሳ ጊዳይ ሄ ሚꬃይ ኣይፌ ኢንቴ ሚኮ ኢንቴ ኣይፌይ ዶዬቲን፥ ጾሳ ማላ ኢንቴ ሎኦኔ ኢታ ሻኪ ኤራናይሳ ኢዚ ኤሪዛ ጊሻሳ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: “For God knows that in the day you eat of it, your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
5. 6GMVEማጫሳያ ሄ ሚꬃ ኣይፌይ ማናስ ማልኢዛይሳ፥ ጼላናስ ሎኢዛይሳ፥ ቃሴ ኣሲ ኣꬎ ኤራቴꬅ ዴማናስ ኣሞሲዛዝ ጊዲዳይሳ ቤያዳ ሄ ሚꬃ ኣይፌፔ ኤካዳ ማዱስ፤ ቃሴ ባናራ ዲዛ ባ ኣዚናስካ ሄሳፌ ኢሚን ኢዚካ ሚዴስ።BSBBSB: When the woman saw that the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eyes, and that it was desirable for obtaining wisdom, she took the fruit and ate it. She also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate it.
6. 7GMVEሚዳ ዎዴ ኢስታ ናምኣ ኣይፌይካ ዶዬቲን ኢስቲ ፓጻ ካሎ ዲዛይሳ ኤሪዲ ባላሴ ጌቴቲዛ ሚꬃ ሃይꬅ ሲኪዲ ባ ጼሳን ጊጺዳ።BSBBSB: And the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; so they sewed together fig leaves and made coverings for themselves.
7. 8GMVEኦማርሳ ዎዴ፥ ኤዴኔ ጊዶን ጎዳ ጾሳይ ሄሜቲሺን፥ ኢዛ ጬንጉርሳ ኣዴዚኔ ኢዛ ማቼያ ሲዪዲ ጎዳ ጾሳፌ ኤዴኔ ሚꬃ ጊዶን ቆቴቲዳ።BSBBSB: Then the man and his wife heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the breeze of the day, and they hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
8. 9GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ጎዳ ጾሳይ ኣዴዛ ጼይጊዲ፥ «ኣዳሜ ኣዋን ዳይ?» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: But the LORD God called out to the man, “Where are you?”
9. 10GMVEኣዴዚካ፥ «ኤዴኔ ጊዶን ኔ ጬንጉርሳ ሲያዳ ታኒ ካሎ ዲዛ ጊሻስ ባባዳ ቆቴታዲስ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: “I heard Your voice in the garden,” he replied, “and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself.”
10. 11GMVEጎዳ ጾሳይ ኢዛ፥ «ኔኒ ካሎ ዳሳ ጊዲ ኔስ ዮቲዳይ ኦኔ? ታኒ ኔና፥ ‹ሞፓ› ጋዳ ኣዛዚዳ ሚꬃ ኣይፌፔ ማዲ?» ጊ ኦይቺዴስ።BSBBSB: “Who told you that you were naked?” asked the LORD God. “Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?”
11. 12GMVEኢዚካ፥ «ታናራ ዳና ማላ ኔ ኢሚዳ ማጫሳያ ሄ ሚꬃ ኣይፌፔ ታስ ኢሚን ማዲስ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: And the man answered, “The woman whom You gave me, she gave me fruit from the tree, and I ate it.”
12. 13GMVEጎዳ ጾሳይ ሄሳፌ ጉዬ ማጫሳዮ፥ «ኔኒ ሄሳ ኣይስ ኦꬃዲ?» ጊ ኦይቺዴስ። ማጫሳያካ፥ «ታና ሾሻይ ባሌꬂን ማዲስ» ጋዱስ።BSBBSB: Then the LORD God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” “The serpent deceived me,” she replied, “and I ate.”
13. 14GMVEጎዳ ጾሳይ ሄሳፌ ጉዬ ሾሻ፥ «ኔኒ ሃይሳ ኦꬂዳ ጊሻስ፥ ሜሄ ኡባኔ ዶኣ ኡባ ጋርሳን ኔ ጻላይ ቃንጌቲዳዛ! ኔኒ ኔ ኡሎን ቢታራ ጎሼታና፤ ኔ ዴኦ ላይꬅ ኡባንካ ቢታ ጉዱላ ላጫ።BSBBSB: So the LORD God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, cursed are you above all livestock and every beast of the field! On your belly will you go, and dust you will eat, all the days of your life.
14. 15GMVEታኒ ኔሲኔ ማጫሳይስ፥ ኔ ዜሬꬃሲኔ ኢዚ ዜሬꬃስ ጊዶን ሞርኬቴꬅ ሜꬋና፤ ኢዚ ኔ ሁኤ ቆጻና፤ ኔኒካ ኢዛ ቂርጴ ዱካና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed. He will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”
15. 16GMVEማጫሳዮካ ጎዳ ጾሳይ፥ «ኔ ሻሪዛ ኣጊናን ኔኒ ዳሮ ቱጋታና፤ ቃሴ ኔኒ ዎልቃማ ሚጻን ናይታ ዬላና። ጊዲኮካ ኔኒ ኔ ኣዚናራ ኣቃናስ ኣሞታና፤ ኢዚካ ኔና ሃራና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: To the woman He said: “I will sharply increase your pain in childbirth; in pain you will bring forth children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”
16. 17GMVEኣዳሜካ ጎዳ ጾሳይ፥ «ኔኒ ኔ ማቼይ ቃላ ሲዪዳ ጊሻስ ታኒ ኔና፥ ‹ሄ ሚꬃ ኣይፌ ሞፓ› ጋዳ ኣዛዚዳ ሚꬃ ኣይፌፔ ኔኒ ሚዳ ጊሻስ፥ «ኔ ጌዶን ቢታይ ቃንጌቲዳዝ ጊዶ! ኔኒ ኔ ዴኦ ላይꬅ ኡባን ጊታ ዳቡራን ቢታ ኦꬃዳ ማና።BSBBSB: And to Adam He said: “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat, cursed is the ground because of you; through toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.
17. 18GMVEቢታይ ኔስ ኣጉንꬂኔ ኪንዲቾ ሞኪሳና፤ ኔኒ ቢታፌ ሞኪዳይሳ ማና።BSBBSB: Both thorns and thistles it will yield for you, and you will eat the plants of the field.
18. 19GMVEኔኒ ቢታን ሲማና ጋካናስ ዳቡራን ኔ ጫዋ ጉሳ ኦꬃዳ ማና፤ ኔኒ ቢታፌ ሜꬌቲዳ ጊሻስ ቢታን ሲማንዳሳ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: By the sweat of your brow you will eat your bread, until you return to the ground—because out of it were you taken. For dust you are, and to dust you shall return.”
19. 20GMVEኣዳሜይ ባ ማቺዮ ሄዋኖ ጊ ሱንꬂዴስ፤ ኣይስ ጊኮ ኢዛ ኣሳ ኡባስ ኣዮ።BSBBSB: And Adam named his wife Eve, because she would be the mother of all the living.
20. 21GMVEጎዳ ጾሳይ ኣዳሜሲኔ ኢዛ ማቼይስ ኢቴ ጊግሲዲ ኢስታ ማይዚዴስ።BSBBSB: And the LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and He clothed them.
21. 22GMVEሄሳፌ ጉዬ ጎዳ ጾሳይ፥ «ሂስቲን ኣሲ ኑፔ ኢሳዴ ማላ ሎኦኔ ኢታ ኤሪዛዴ ጊዲዴስ፤ ኢዚ ባ ኩሼ ዬዲዲ ዴኦ ኢሚዛ ሚꬃፌ ኤኪዲ ቃሴ ሞንታ ማላኔ ሜርናስ ፓጻ ዴኦንታ ማላ ቴቄታናስ ኮሼስ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil. And now, lest he reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever...”
22. 23GMVEሄሳ ጊሻስ ኢዚ ባ ሜꬌቲዳ ቢታ ኦꬃና ማላ፥ ጎዳ ጾሳይ ኤዴኔፔ ኢዛ ኬሲዴስ።BSBBSB: Therefore the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.
23. 24GMVEኢዛ ኬሲዲ፥ ዴኦ ሚꬃኮ ኤፊዛ ኦጌ ናጋና ማላ፥ ኪሩቤ ጌቴቲዛ ኪታንቻታኔ ፖፖልኡ ጊ ኣꬊ ኣꬊ ዎꬊዛ ታማ ላጮ ሚሳቲዛ ጊꬃ ማሻ ኤዴኔፔ ኣርሼይ ሞኪዛ ባጋራ ዎꬂዴስ።BSBBSB: So He drove out the man and stationed cherubim on the east side of the Garden of Eden, along with a whirling sword of flame to guard the way to the tree of life.
