1. 1GMVEጉꬃ ዎዴፔ ጉዬ ጊብጼ ካዎ ኡሹ ዱቂዛይታ ኣላፌይኔ ቁማ ካꬂዛይታ ኣላፌይ ባ ጎዳ ጊብጼ ካዎ ቆሂዳ።BSBBSB: Some time later, the king’s cupbearer and baker offended their master, the king of Egypt.
2. 2GMVEካዎይ ኡሹ ዱቂዛይታ ሃላቃኔ ቁማ ካꬂዛይታ ሃላቃታ ናምኣታ ቦላ ኬሂ ሃንቄቲዴስ።BSBBSB: Pharaoh was angry with his two officers, the chief cupbearer and the chief baker,
3. 3GMVEሄሳ ጊሻስ ዛቤታ ሃላቃዛ ኬꬃን ዮሴፌይ ቃሼቲዳ ዎይኔ ኬꬃን ዬጊዴስ።BSBBSB: and imprisoned them in the house of the captain of the guard, the same prison where Joseph was confined.
4. 4GMVEዛቤታ ሃላቃይ ኢስታ ዮሴፌስ ሼꬊን ኢዚ ኢስታስ ኮሺዛ ሚሻን ማዲዴስ፤ ኢስቲካ ቃሾ ኬꬅ ጌሊዲ ጉꬅ ጋምኢዳ ማላ፥BSBBSB: The captain of the guard assigned them to Joseph, and he became their personal attendant. After they had been in custody for some time,
5. 5GMVEጊብጼ ካዎስ ኡሹ ዱቂዛይታ ሃላቃይኔ ቁማ ካꬂዛይታ ሃላቃይ፥ ናምኣይካ ቃሾ ኬꬃን ዲሼ ኢሲ ቃማ ኦማርስ ባስ ባስ ኣጉሞ ኣጉሜቲዳ። ናምኣታ ኣጉሞ ቢርሼꬂካ ዱማ ዱማ።BSBBSB: both of these men—the Egyptian king’s cupbearer and baker, who were being held in the prison—had a dream on the same night, and each dream had its own meaning.
6. 6GMVEዮሴፌይ ማላዶ ኢስታኮ ጌሊዳ ዎዴ ኢስቲ ሙዞቲ ኡቲዳይታ ቤኢዴስ።BSBBSB: When Joseph came to them in the morning, he saw that they were distraught.
7. 7GMVEሄሳ ጊሻስ ባ ጎዳ ቃሾ ኬꬃን ባናራ ዲዛ ካዎ ኦሳንቻታ፥ «ሃች ኢንቴ ኣይፌሶይ ኣዛስ ꬉሚዴ?» ጊ ኦይቺዴስ።BSBBSB: So he asked the officials of Pharaoh who were in custody with him in his master’s house, “Why are your faces so downcast today?”
8. 8GMVEኢስቲካ ኢዛስ፥ «ኑኒ ናምኣይ ኣጉሞ ኣጉሜቲዶስ፤ ጊዶ ኣቲን ኑስ ቢርሺዛ ኣሲ ꬋይዴስ» ጊዳ። ዮሴፌይካ ኢስታስ፥ «ኣጉሞ ቢርሺዛይ ጾሳ ጊዴኔ? ኢንቴ ኣጉሞዛ ኣኔ ታስ ዮቲቴ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: “We both had dreams,” they replied, “but there is no one to interpret them.” Then Joseph said to them, “Don’t interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams.”
9. 9GMVEሂስቲን ኡሹ ዱቂዛይታ ሃላቃይ ባ ኣጉሞ ዮሴፌስ፥ «ታኒ ታ ኣጉሞን ኢሲ ዎይኔ ሚꬅ ታ ሲንꬃን ዲዛይሳ ቤኣዲስ።BSBBSB: So the chief cupbearer told Joseph his dream: “In my dream there was a vine before me,
10. 10GMVEቃሴ ሄ ዎይኔ ሚꬃስ ሄꬑ ሃጋይ ዴስ። ሄራካ ኣጫዳ ጪያዱስ፤ ሎኤꬃ ዉርጫዳ ኣይፋዱስ።BSBBSB: and on the vine were three branches. As it budded, its blossoms opened and its clusters ripened into grapes.
11. 11GMVEሄ ዎዴ ፓሮኔ ኡሻ ጹኣይ ታ ኩሼን ዴስ፤ ታኒካ ዎይኔዛ ኣይፌ ማጻዳ ጹኣዛ ጊዶን ጉምኣዳ ኡሻ ፓሮኔስ ኢማዲስ» ጊ ዮቲዴስ።BSBBSB: Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand, and I took the grapes, squeezed them into his cup, and placed the cup in his hand.”
12. 12GMVEሂስቲን ዮሴፌይካ ዛሪዲ፥ «ሄሳ ቢርሼꬂ ሃይሳ፤ ሄꬑ ሃጋቲ ሄꬑ ጋላሳታ።BSBBSB: Joseph replied, “This is the interpretation: The three branches are three days.
13. 13GMVEሄꬑ ጋላሳታ ጊዶን ካዎይ ኔና ዴንꬂዲ ኢዚ ኔና ካሴ ኔ ዲዛ ኣላፌቴꬃን ዎꬃና፤ ካሴ ኔኒ ኡሹ ዱቂዛ ዎዴ ኦꬂዳ ማላ ኔኒ ካዎ ዋንጫ ኢዛ ኩሼን ዎꬃና።BSBBSB: Within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore your position. You will put Pharaoh’s cup in his hand, just as you did when you were his cupbearer.
14. 14GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ኔስ ዎዴይ ሎኢዳ ዎዴ ታና ባሎፓ፤ ታስካ ኪያ፤ ታ ጊሻስ ካዎስ ዮታዳ ሃ ቃሾ ኬꬃፌ ታና ኬሲሳ፤BSBBSB: But when it goes well for you, please remember me and show me kindness by mentioning me to Pharaoh, that he might bring me out of this prison.
15. 15GMVEጋሶይካ ታና ኢብራዌታ ቢታፌ ዎልቃራ ሻሚ ኤሂዳ፤ ጊዶ ኣቲን ሃይሳꬆ ታና ቃሾስ ጋꬂዛ ሚሽ ኣይኮካ ኦꬃቤኬ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: For I was kidnapped from the land of the Hebrews, and even here I have done nothing for which they should have put me in this dungeon.”
16. 16GMVEካꬅ ካꬂዛይታ ሃላቃይ ዮሴፌይ ኡሹ ዱቂዛይታ ኣጉሞ ሎኤꬂ ቢርሺዳይሳ ቤኢዲ ዮሴፌስ፥ «ታኒካ ኣጉሞ ኣጉሜታዲስ፤ ሄሲካ፥ ‹ታ ሁኤን ሄꬑ ማሶቤ ቶካ ኦይካዲስ።BSBBSB: When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was favorable, he said to Joseph, “I too had a dream: There were three baskets of white bread on my head.
17. 17GMVEቦላ ባጋ ማሶቤን ጊብጼ ካዎስ ኡኬቲዳ ዱማ ዱማ ቁማይ ዴስ። ጊዶ ኣቲን ካፎቲ ሄሳ ታ ሁኤን ዲዛ ማሶቤዛፔ ሚዳ› » ጊ ዮቲዴስ።BSBBSB: In the top basket were all sorts of baked goods for Pharaoh, but the birds were eating them out of the basket on my head.”
18. 18GMVEሂስቲን ዮሴፌይ፥ «ሄሳ ቢርሼꬃይ ሃይሳ፤ ሄꬑ ማሶቤቲ ሄꬑ ጋላሳታ።BSBBSB: Joseph replied, “This is the interpretation: The three baskets are three days.
19. 19GMVEሄꬑ ጋላሳታ ጊዶን ካዎይ ኔና ዴንꬂዲ ኔ ቆꬌ ሙጪዲ ሚꬃ ቦላ ካቂሳና፤ ኔ ኣሾካ ካፎቲ ማና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: Within three days Pharaoh will lift off your head and hang you on a tree. Then the birds will eat the flesh of your body.”
20. 20GMVEሄꬓንꬆ ጋላስ ጊብጼ ካዎይ ባ ዬሌቲዳ ጋላስ ባ ካዎቴꬃን ዲዛ ሹሜታ ኡባስ ጊቢራ ጊግሲዴስ። ኡሹ ዱቂዛይታ ሃላቃኔ ካꬅ ካꬂዛይታ ሃላቃ ቃሾ ኬꬃፌ ኬሲዲ ባ ሹሜታ ሲንꬃን ኤሲዴስ።BSBBSB: On the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, he held a feast for all his officials, and in their presence he lifted up the heads of the chief cupbearer and the chief baker.
21. 21GMVEኡሹ ዱቂዛይታ ሃላቃዛ ካሴ ኢዛ ሹሜቴꬃን ዛሪን ኢዚ ካዎ ኩሼን ዋንጫ ዎꬂዴስ።BSBBSB: Pharaoh restored the chief cupbearer to his position, so that he once again placed the cup in Pharaoh’s hand.
22. 22GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ካዎዚ ካꬅ ካꬂዛይታ ሃላቃ ዮሴፌይ ኢዛ ኣጉሞ ቢርሺዳ ማላ ኢዛ ካቂሲዴስ።BSBBSB: But Pharaoh hanged the chief baker, just as Joseph had described to them in his interpretation.
23. 23GMVEኡሹ ዱቂዛይታ ሃላቃይ ጊዲኮ ዮሴፌ ቆፖንታ ዶጊ ኣጊዴስ።BSBBSB: The chief cupbearer, however, did not remember Joseph; he forgot all about him.
