1. 1GMVEኢሲ ጋላስ ዬሱሲ ኣሳ ጾሳ ኬꬃን ታማርሲሺኒኔ ሚሺራቾ ቃላ ሳባኪሺን ቄሴ ሃላቃቲ፥ ጻፌቲኔ ዴሬ ጪማቲ ሺቄቲዲ ኢዛኮ ዪዳ።BSBBSB: One day as Jesus was teaching the people in the temple courts and proclaiming the gospel, the chief priests and scribes, together with the elders, came up to Him.
2. 2GMVE«ሃይሳ ኔ ኦꬂዛይ ኦና ሼኔኔ? ኔስ ሼኔ ኢሚዳይ ኦኔ?» ጊዲ ኢዛ ኦይቺዳ።BSBBSB: “Tell us,” they said, “by what authority are You doing these things, and who gave You this authority?”
3. 3GMVEኢዚካ ኢስታስ፥ «ታኒካ ኢንቴና ኢሲ ኦይሾ ኦይቻይስ፤ ኣኔ ታስ ዛሪቴ።BSBBSB: “I will also ask you a question,” Jesus replied. “Tell Me:
4. 4GMVEዮሃኒሳ ጺንቃታይ ሳሎፔዬ? ኣሳፔ?» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: John’s baptism—was it from heaven, or from men?”
5. 5GMVEኢስቲካ ባ ጊዶን ኢሶይ ኢሳራ፥ «ኑ፥ ‹ዮሃኒሳ ጺንቃታይ ሳሎፔ› ጊኮ ኢዚ ኑና፥ ‹ሂስቲን ኣዛስ ኣማኒቤኬቲ?› ጋና።BSBBSB: They deliberated among themselves and said, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will ask, ‘Why did you not believe him?’
6. 6GMVE‹ኣሳፔ› ጊኮ ኣሳይ ዉሪ ዮሃኒሲ ናቤ ጊዲዳይሳ ኣማኒዛ ጊሻስ ኑና ሹቻራ ጫዳና» ጊ ዞሬቲዳ።BSBBSB: But if we say, ‘From men,’ all the people will stone us, for they are convinced that John was a prophet.”
7. 7GMVEሄሳ ጊሻስ፥ «ኢዚ ኣዋፔኮ ኑ ኤሮኮ» ጊዲ ዛሪዳ።BSBBSB: So they answered that they did not know where it was from.
8. 8GMVEዬሱሲካ ሂስቲኮ፥ «ታኒካ ኣዛ ዎልቃን ኦꬂዛኮ ኢንቴስ ዮቲኬ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: And Jesus replied, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.”
9. 9GMVEቃሴካ ዬሱሲ ኣሳስ ሌሚሶራ፥ «ኢሳዴይ ዎይኔ ሚꬅ ቶኪዴስ፤ ጋዴ ጎዪዛይታስ ኪራ ኢሚዲ ሃራ ዴሬ ቢዲ ሄን ጋምኢዴስ።BSBBSB: Then He proceeded to tell the people this parable: “A man planted a vineyard, rented it out to some tenants, and went away for a long time.
10. 10GMVEካጺዛ ቦኔ ዎዴ ካꬃፌ ኤኪ ያና ማላ ባ ኣሽካራታፔ ኢሳዴ ጋዴዛ ጎዪዳ ኣሳታኮ ዬዲን ጋዳ ጎዪዛይቲ ኪቴቲ ቢዳይሳ ቆጺዲ ሜላ ኩሼ ዬዲዳ።BSBBSB: At harvest time, he sent a servant to the tenants to collect his share of the fruit of the vineyard. But the tenants beat the servant and sent him away empty-handed.
11. 11GMVEካሌꬂዲካ ሃራ ኣሽካራ ዬዲን ጎሻንቻቲ ሃኢካ ኦይኪ ቆጺዲኔ ካዉሺዲ ሜላ ዬዲዳ።BSBBSB: So he sent another servant, but they beat him and treated him shamefully, sending him away empty-handed.
12. 12GMVEሃኢካ ካሌꬂዲ ሄꬓንꬆ ኣሽካራ ዬዲን ጎሻንቻቲ ኢዛካ ቆጼሬꬂ ማዱንꬂዲ ካሬ ኬሲ ዬጊዳ።BSBBSB: Then he sent a third, but they wounded him and threw him out.
13. 13GMVE«ዎይኔ ሚꬃ ጎዳይ፥ ‹ሃኢ ኣይ ኦꬆ? ኦኔ ኤሪዛይ ታ ኬሃ ሲቂዛ ታ ናዛ ዬዲዳኮ ኢዛ ቦንቻንዴቶሻ?› ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: ‘What shall I do?’ asked the owner of the vineyard. ‘I will send my beloved son. Perhaps they will respect him.’
14. 14GMVE«ጊዶ ኣቲን ቢታ ጎዪዛይቲ ናዛ ቤኢዳ ማላ ባ ጊዶን፥ ‹ሃይሲ ኢዛ ላታና ናዛ ጊዴኔ? ሃ ዪቴ፤ ኢዛ ዎꬊዲ ቢታ ላቶስ› ጊዲ ዞሬቲዳ።BSBBSB: But when the tenants saw the son, they discussed it among themselves and said, ‘This is the heir. Let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
15. 15GMVEዎይኔ ሚꬃ ቶኪዳሶፔ ካሬ ኬሲዲ ናዛ ዎꬊዳ። ሂስቲኮ ሃኢ ዎይኔ ሚꬃ ጎዳይ ሃ ኣሳታ ዎስታኔ?BSBBSB: So they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them?
16. 16GMVEዪዲኔ ሄ ጎሻንቻታ ꬋይሳና፤ ዎይኔ ሚꬅ ቶኪዛሶሆዛ ሃራታስ ኢማና» ጊዴስ፤ ዴሬይካ ሄሳ ኢዚ ጊዳይሳ ሲዪዲ፥ «ሃይሳ ማላይ ሃኖፖ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others.” And when the people heard this, they said, “May such a thing never happen!”
17. 17GMVEዬሱሲካ፥ «ኢስታኮ ጼሊዲ፥ ‹ሂስቲን ሹቻን ኬꬄ ኬጺዛ ኣሳቲ ሌቂ ኣጊዳ ሹቻይ ኬꬃስ ዋና ሁኤ ጊዳና ጌቴቲዲ ጻፌቲዳ ሌሚሶዛስ ቢርሼꬃይ ኣዜ?›BSBBSB: But Jesus looked directly at them and said, “Then what is the meaning of that which is written: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone’?
18. 18GMVEሃ ሹቻ ቦላ ኩንዲዳይ ዉሪ ሹቻን ቆጼታና፤ ሹቻይካ ኢዛ ቦላ ዎꬊዳዴይ ዉሪካ ሊቃና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: Everyone who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed.”
19. 19GMVEጻፌቲኔ ቄሴታ ሃላቃቲ ሄሲ ሌሚሶዚ ኢስታ ቦላ ሃሳዬቲዳይሳ ኤሪዲ ሄራካ ኢዛ ኦይካናስ ኮዪዳ ሺን ዴሬዛስ ባቢዳ።BSBBSB: When the scribes and chief priests realized that Jesus had spoken this parable against them, they sought to arrest Him that very hour. But they were afraid of the people.
20. 20GMVEዬሱሳ ዎልቃራ ሃሪዛይታስ ኣꬂ ኢማናስ ኢዛ ዶናፔ ኬዚዛ ባላ ቃላ ዴሚዲ ኦይካናስ ካሊ ካሊ ናጊዳኔ ጺሎ ኣሳ ሚሳቲዲ ኢዛ ካሊ ኢዛ ዶናፔ ዮኦ ናጊዛ ኣሳታ ኢዛኮ ዬዲዳ።BSBBSB: So they watched Him closely and sent spies who pretended to be sincere. They were hoping to catch Him in His words in order to hand Him over to the rule and authority of the governor.
21. 21GMVEኢዛ ዶናፔ ዮኦ ኮይዛ ኣሳቲ ዬሱሳ፥ «ኣስታማሬ! ኔኒ ቱማ ሃሳይዛይሳኔ ቱማ ታማርሲዛይሳ፤ ቃሴካ ጾሳ ኦጌ ኔ ቱሙ ታማርሲዛይሳኔ ኦናካ ሻካ ማዶንታይሳ ኑ ኤሮስ።BSBBSB: “Teacher,” they inquired, “we know that You speak and teach correctly. You show no partiality but teach the way of God in accordance with the truth.
22. 22GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ቄሳሬስ ጊራ ጊራናስ ቤሲዜ? ቤሴኔ?» ጊዲ ኦይቺዳ።BSBBSB: Is it lawful for us to pay taxes to Caesar or not?”
23. 23GMVEኢዚካ ኢስታስ ዲዛ ጌኔ ቆፋ ኤሪዲ፥BSBBSB: But Jesus saw through their duplicity and said to them,
24. 24GMVE«ኣኔ ኢሲ ዲናሬ ታና ቤሲቴ፥ ሃይሲ ኢዛ ቦላ ዲዛ ሜꬋዚኔ ጻፌቶይሲ ኦናይሴ?» ጊዴስ። ኢስቲካ፥ «ቄሳሬይሳ» ጊዳ።BSBBSB: “Show Me a denarius. Whose image and inscription are on it?” “Caesar’s,” they answered.
25. 25GMVEኢዚካ ዛሪዲ ኢስታስ፥ «ቄሳሬይሳ ቄሳሬስ፥ ጾሳይሳ ጾሳስ ኢሚቴ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: So Jesus told them, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”
26. 26GMVEሄሳ ጊሻስ ኢዚ ሃሳይዳ ቃላፔ ኤኪዲ ኣሳ ሲንꬃን ኢዛ ቃጻናስ ዳንዳይቤቴና፤ ኢዚ ኢሚዳ ቃላን ማላሌቲዲ ጮኡ ጊዳ።BSBBSB: And they were unable to trap Him in His words before the people. And amazed at His answer, they fell silent.
27. 27GMVEሃይቂዳይታ ዴንꬂ ባ ጊዛ ሳዱቃዌታፔ ኢሲ ኢሲ ኣሳቲ ዬሱሳኮ ዪዲ ኦይሻ ሺሺዳ።BSBBSB: Then some of the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to question Him.
28. 28GMVE«ጎዶ! ‹ኢሳዴይ ማቾ ኤኪዲ ና ዬሎንታ ሃይቂኮ ሄ ሃይቂዳይሳ ማቼዮ ኢዛ ኢሻይ ኤኪዲ ባ ኢሻ ላታና ና ኢዛስ ዬሎ› ጊዲ ሙሴይ ኑስ ጻፊዴስ።BSBBSB: “Teacher,” they said, “Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man is to marry his brother’s widow and raise up offspring for him.
29. 29GMVEሂስቲን ላፑን ኢሻቲ ዴቴስ ሺን ኢስታፌ ባይራዚ ማቺዲ ና ዬሎንታ ሃይቂዴስ።BSBBSB: Now there were seven brothers. The first one married a wife but died childless.
30. 30GMVEኢዛ ካሎዚካ ኢዛꬆ ሃይቂዴስ፤BSBBSB: Then the second
31. 31GMVEሄꬓንꬆዚካ ኢዞ ኤኪዴስ፤ ላፑናቲ ዉሪካ ሄ ማጫሳዮ ኤኪዲ ዉሪካ ና ዬሎንታ ሃይቂዳ።BSBBSB: and the third married the widow, and in the same way all seven died, leaving no children.
32. 32GMVEዉርሴꬃን ማጫሳያ ሃይቃዱስ።BSBBSB: And last of all, the woman died.
33. 33GMVEላፑናቲካ ሃ ማጫሳዮ ኤኪዳሺን ሃ ማጫሳያ ዉርሴꬃን ሃይቂዳይቲ ዴንዲዛ ዎዴ ኢዛ ኣዋይሳ ማቾ ጊዳኔ?»BSBBSB: So then, in the resurrection, whose wife will she be? For all seven were married to her.”
34. 34GMVEዬሱሲ ኢስታስ፥ «ሃ ኣላሜ ናይቲ ጌሌቴሲኔ ኤኬቴስ።BSBBSB: Jesus answered, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage.
35. 35GMVEቡሮ ያና ኣላሜን ሃይቂዳይታ ዴንꬃ ዴማናስ ቤሲዛይቲ ጊዲኮ ጌሌቴናኔ ኤኬቴና።BSBBSB: But those who are considered worthy to share in the age to come and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage.
36. 36GMVEኢስቲ ኪታንቻታ ማላ ጊዳና ጊሻስ ሄሳፌ ጉዬ ሃይቄቴናኔ ሃይቆፔ ዴንꬃ ናይታ ጊዲዳ ጊሻስ ኢስቲ ጾሳ ናይታ።BSBBSB: In fact, they can no longer die, because they are like the angels. And since they are sons of the resurrection, they are sons of God.
37. 37GMVEሙሴይ ቄሪ ዎራ ጊሻስ ጻፌቲዳ ታሪኬዛን ጎዳ፥ ‹ኣብራሃሜ ጾሳ፥ ዪሳቃ ጾሳ ያቆቤ ጾሳ› ጉሳን ሃይቂዳይቲ ዴንዳናይሳ ቤሴስ።BSBBSB: Even Moses demonstrates that the dead are raised, in the passage about the burning bush. For he calls the Lord ‘the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’
38. 38GMVEዉሪካ ኢዛስ ዴኦይ ዲዛ ጊሻስ ኢዚ ፓጻታ ጾሳፌ ኣቲን ሃይቄꬃታ ጾስ ጊዴና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to Him all are alive.”
39. 39GMVEኢሲ ኢሲ ጻፌቲ፥ «ኣስታማሬ! ሎኦ ጋዳሳ» ጊዳ።BSBBSB: Some of the scribes answered, “Teacher, You have spoken well!”
40. 40GMVEሄሳፌ ጉዬ ኣይ ኣሲካ ኢዛ ኦይቻናስ ጻሊቤና።BSBBSB: And they did not dare to question Him any further.
41. 41GMVEሄሳፌ ጉዬ ዬሱሲ፥ «ኣሳይ ማሲሄ ዋኒዲ ኢዚ ዳዊቴ ና ጊዜ?BSBBSB: Then Jesus declared, “How can it be said that the Christ is the Son of David?
42. 42GMVEጋሶይካ ዳዊቲ ባ ጻፊዳ ዬꬃ ማጻፋታን፥ ‹ታ ኔ ሞርኬታ ኔ ቶሆ ጋርስ ኣꬃና ጋካናስ ጎዳይ ታ ጎዳ፥ ኔ ታ ኡሻቻን ኡታ› ዋኒዲ ጊዴ?BSBBSB: For David himself says in the book of Psalms: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand
43. 44GMVEሂስቲኮ ዳዊቲ ኢዛ፥ ‹ጎዳ› ጊ ጼይጊሼ ዋኒ ኢዛስ ና ጊዳኔ?» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: Thus David calls Him ‘Lord.’ So how can He be David’s son?”
44. 45GMVEዴሬይ ዉሪ ሲዪሺን ባና ካሊዛይታስ፥BSBBSB: In the hearing of all the people, Jesus said to His disciples,
45. 46GMVE«ጎሼቲዛ ኣዱሳ ቃሚሳ ማይኢዲ ዩሼ ዶሲዛይታፔ ጊያይ ዲዛሶን ሳሮኬቴꬅ ኮይዛይታፔኔ ኣይሁዳ ዎሳ ኬꬃን ꬎቃ ኦይዴኔ ዲጊሳሶን ቦንቾሶ ኮይዛ ጻፌታፔ ናጌቲቴ።BSBBSB: “Beware of the scribes. They like to walk around in long robes, and they love the greetings in the marketplaces, the chief seats in the synagogues, and the places of honor at banquets.
46. 47GMVEሃይታንቲ ኣምኤታ ኬꬅ ካሎሲዛይታ፤ ኣሲ ኢስታ ቤያና ማላ ዎሳ ኣዱሴቴስ፤ ሄይታንታ ኢታ ፒርዳይ ናጌስ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: They defraud widows of their houses, and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will receive greater condemnation.”
