1. 1GMVEጉꬃ ጋላሳፌ ጉዬ፥ «ዬሱሲ ቂፊርናሆሜ ሲሚዲ ሶን ዴስ» ጊዛ ዎሬ ኣሳይ ሲዪዴስ።BSBBSB: A few days later Jesus went back to Capernaum. And when the people heard that He was home,
2. 2GMVEሄሳ ጊሻስ ኬꬃራ፥ ካሬራ ኡቲዛሶይ ꬋያና ጋካናስ ዳሮ ዴሬይ ሺቂዴስ። ኢዚካ ጾሳ ቃላ ኣሳስ ሳባኪዴስ።BSBBSB: they gathered in such large numbers that there was no more room, not even outside the door, as Jesus spoke the word to them.
3. 3GMVEኦይዱ ኣስ ዳይቲ ቶሆይ ሲሊዳ ኢሲ ኣስ ቶኪዲ ኢዛኮ ኤሂዳ።BSBBSB: Then a paralytic was brought to Him, carried by four men.
4. 4GMVEኣሳ ዳሮቴꬃፌ ዴንዲዳይሳን ዬሱሲ ዲዛሶ ጋꬃናስ ዳንዳዮንታ ጊሻስ ዬሱሲ ዲዛ ጊናራ ካራ ቃሪዲ ሃርጋንቻዛ ኢዚ ኢቺዳ ሃላራ ዬሱሳ ሲንꬅ ዱጌ ዎꬂዳ።BSBBSB: Since they were unable to get to Jesus through the crowd, they uncovered the roof above Him, made an opening, and lowered the paralytic on his mat.
5. 5GMVEዬሱሲ ኣሳታ ኣማኖ ቤኢዲ ቶሆይ ሲሊዳ ኣዴዛ፥ «ታ ናዞ! ኔ ናጋራይ ኣቶ ጌቴቲዴስ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”
6. 6GMVEሄን ጋዳን ኡቲዳ ኢሲ ኢሲ ሙሴ ዎጋ ጻፌቲ ባ ዎዚናራ ሃይሲ ኣዴዚ ዎስቲ ሃይሳꬆ ጊዜ? «ጾሳ ቦላ ጫሻ ቃላ ሃሳዬስ። ኢሲ ጾሳፌ ኣቲን ናጋራ ማራና ዳንዳይዛይ ኦኔ?» ጊዲ ቆፒዳ።BSBBSB: But some of the scribes were sitting there and thinking in their hearts,
7. 8GMVEዬሱሲ ሄራካ ኢስቲ ባ ዎዚናን ቆፒዳይሳ ባ ኣያናን ኤሪዲ፥ «ኢንቴ ዎስቲ ሃይሳꬆ ቆፔቲ?BSBBSB: At once Jesus knew in His spirit that they were thinking this way within themselves. “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?” He asked.
8. 9GMVEቶሆይ ሲሊዳ ኣዴዛ፥ ‹ኔ ናጋራይ ኣቶ ጌቴቲዴስ› ጉሳፌኔ ‹ዴንዳዳ ኔ ሃላ ቶካዳ ባ› ጉሳፌ ኣዋይሲ ማቲዜ?BSBBSB: “Which is easier: to say to a paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, pick up your mat, and walk’?
9. 10GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ኣሳ ናስ ቢታ ቦላን ናጋራ ማራና ጎዳቴꬂ ዲዛይሳ ኢንቴ ኤራና ማላ» ጊዲ ቶሆ ሲላ ኣዴዛ፥BSBBSB: But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...” He said to the paralytic,
10. 11GMVE«ዴንዳዳ ኔ ቶኬታ ዪዳ ሃላ ቶካዳ ኔሶ ባ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: “I tell you, get up, pick up your mat, and go home.”
11. 12GMVEኢዚካ ዴንዲዲ ኣሳይ ዉሪ ቤዪሺን ሃላ ቶኪዲ ቢዴስ። ሄን ጋዳን ዲዛ ኣሳይ ዉሪ ሃኖዛን ማላሌቲዲ፥ «ካሴ ሃይሳ ማላይ ሃኒን ቤዪቤኮ» ጊዲ ጾስ ጋላቲዴስ።BSBBSB: And immediately the man got up, picked up his mat, and walked out in front of them all. As a result, they were all astounded and glorified God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”
12. 13GMVEቃሴካ ዬሱሲ ጋሊላ ኣባ ላንቄ ቢዴስ። ዳሮ ዴሬይ ኢዛኮ ዪን ኢዚካ ዪዳ ኣሳ ታማርሲዴስ።BSBBSB: Once again Jesus went out beside the sea. All the people came to Him, and He taught them there.
13. 14GMVEኢዚ ኦጌራ ኣꬊ ቢሺን ኢልፊዮሳ ና ሌዌይ ቃራጻ ሺሺዛሶን ኡቲዳይሳ ቤኢዲ፥ «ሃ ያ ታና ካላ» ጊዴስ። ኢዚካ ዴንዲዲ ዬሱሳ ካሊዴስ።BSBBSB: As He was walking along, He saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax booth. “Follow Me,” He told him, and Levi got up and followed Him.
14. 15GMVEሄሳፌ ጉዬ ሌዌ ሶን ካꬃ ማዳን ኡቲ ዲሺን ቃራጻ ሺሺዛ ዳሮ ኣሳቲኔ ናጋራንቻቲ ኢዛራ ካሊ ዪዳ ጊሻስ ኢስቲ ዬሱሳራኔ ኢዛ ካሊዛይታራ ኢሲፌ ማዳን ኡቲዳ።BSBBSB: While Jesus was dining at Levi’s house, many tax collectors and sinners were eating with Him and His disciples—for there were many who followed Him.
15. 16GMVEፋርሳዌታ ባጋፌ ጊዲዳ ሙሴ ዎጋ ታማርሲዛይቲ ዬሱሲ ናጋራንቻታራኔ ቃራጻ ሺሺዛይታራ ሚሺን ቤኢዲ ኢዛ ካሊዛይታ፥ «ቃራጻ ቃንጺሲዛይታራኔ ናጋራንቻታራ ኣዛስ ሚዜ?» ጊዲ ኦይቺዳ።BSBBSB: When the scribes who were Pharisees saw Jesus eating with these people, they asked His disciples, “Why does He eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
16. 17GMVEዬሱሲካ ኢስቲ ጊዛይሳ ሲዪዲ፥ «ኣኪሜይ ሃርጋንቻታስ ኮሼስ ኣቲን ሃርጎንታይታስ ጊዴና። ታኒካ ናጋራንቻታ ጼይጋናስ ያዲስ ኣቲን ጺሎታ ጼይጋናስ ያቤኬ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: On hearing this, Jesus told them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
17. 18GMVEዮሃኒሳ ካሊዛይቲኔ ፋርሳዌቲ ጾማ ጾሜቴስ። ኢሲ ኢሲ ኣሳቲ ዬሱሳኮ ዪዲ፥ «ዮሃኒሳ ካሊዛይቲኔ ፋርሳዌታ ካሊዛይቲ ጾሜቴስ ሺን ኔና ካሊዛይቲ ኣዛስ ጾሜቴኔ?» ጊ ኦይቺዳ።BSBBSB: Now John’s disciples and the Pharisees were often fasting. So people came to Jesus and asked, “Why don’t Your disciples fast like John’s disciples and those of the Pharisees?”
18. 19GMVEዬሱሲካ ኢስታስ፥ «ሚሺራይ ኢስታራ ዲሺን ሚሺራ ላጌቲ ጾሚ ኤሪዞ? ሚሺራይ ኢስታራ ዲሺን ጾሚ ኤሬቴና።BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “How can the guests of the bridegroom fast while He is with them? As long as He is with them, they cannot fast.
19. 20GMVEሚሺራይ ኢስታፌ ኤኬታና ዎዴይ ያና። ሄ ዎዴ ኢስቲ ጾማና።BSBBSB: But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.
20. 21GMVE«ጋልኣ ማይኦ ቦላ ኦራꬃ ዎሶ ዎꬂ ሲኪዛዴይ ኦኒካ ዴና፤ ሄሳꬆ ኦꬂኮ ኦራꬃዚ ጋልኣ ዳኪ ዳኪ ዬጌስ፤ ዳኬꬃይካ ካሴፔ ጌዴ ኣꬊ ኢቴስ።BSBBSB: No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. If he does, the new piece will pull away from the old, and a worse tear will result.
21. 22GMVEሄሳꬆካ ኦራꬃ ዎይኔ ጫጄ ጋልኣ ሉካሞን ዎꬂዛዴይ ዴና። ዎꬂዛ ጊዲኮ ዎይኔ ጫጄዚ ጋልኣ ሉካሞዛ ꬉሴስ፤ ዎይኔ ጫጄዚኔ ሉካሞዚ ናምኣይ ሞሬቴቴስ። ሄሳ ጊሻስ ኦራꬃ ዎይኔ ጫጄይ ዳናስ ቤሲዛይ ኦራꬃ ሉካሞና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. Instead, new wine is poured into new wineskins.”
22. 23GMVEዬሱሲ ኣይሁዳታ ሳምባታ ጋላስ ጊስቴ ቲያ ጊዶራ ኣꬊሺን ኢዛ ካሊዛይቲ ኢዛራ ኢሲፌ ቢሼ ቲያ ጹጶ ኦይኪዳ።BSBBSB: One Sabbath Jesus was passing through the grainfields, and His disciples began to pick the heads of grain as they walked along.
23. 24GMVEፋርሳዌቲ፥ «ኔና ካሊዛይቲ ሳምባታ ጋላስ ዲጌቲዳ ሚሽ ኣዛስ ኦꬂዞ?» ጊዲ ዬሱሳ ኦይቺዳ።BSBBSB: So the Pharisees said to Him, “Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?”
24. 25GMVEኢዚካ ኢስታስ፥ «ዳዊቲ ጋፊዲ ሚዛ ሚሽ ኮዪዳ ዎዴ ኢዛራ ኢሲፌ ዲዛይታራ ኢዚ ኦꬂዳይሳ ናባቢቤኬቲ?BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry and in need?
25. 26GMVEኣቢያታሬይ ቄሴታ ሃላቃቴꬃን ዲሺን ኢዚ ጾሳ ኬꬄ ጌሊዲ ቄሴቲ ጻላላ ማና ቤሲዛ ዱማ ካꬃ ባስ ሚዲኔ ባናራ ዲዛይታስ ኢሚዴስ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: During the high priesthood of Abiathar, he entered the house of God and ate the consecrated bread, which was lawful only for the priests. And he gave some to his companions as well.”
26. 27GMVEቃሴካ ዬሱሲ ኢስታስ፥ «ሳምባታይ ኣሳስ ሜꬌቲዴስ ኣቲን ኣሲ ሳምባታስ ሜꬌቲቤና።BSBBSB: Then Jesus declared, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.
27. 28GMVEሄሳ ጊሻስ ታ ኣሳ ናይ ሳምባታ ጎዳ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: Therefore, the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”
