1ኣባ ፒኒዲ ጌዴ ጌርጌሴኖኔ ጌቴቲዛሶ ቢዳ።On the other side of the sea, they arrived in the region of the Gerasenes.

2ዬሱሲ ዎጎሎይፔ ዎꬊዳ ማላ ቱና ኣያናይ ኢዛ ቦላ ዲዛዴይ ዱፎፔ ኬዚዲ ዬሱሳራ ጋጋና ኢዛኮ ዪዴስ።As soon as Jesus got out of the boat, He was met by a man with an unclean spirit, who was coming from the tombs.

3ሃይሲ ኣዴዚ ዱፎሶን ዲዛዴኔ ሃራይ ኣቶሺን ኦኒካ ኢዛ ሳንሳላታንካ ቃቻናስ ዳንዳይቤና።This man had been living in the tombs and could no longer be restrained, even with chains.

4ዳሮ ዎዴ ቶሆ ቢራታራኔ ሳንሳላታራ ቃሼቴስ። ጊዶ ኣቲን ኩሼ ሳንሳላታ ዱሴꬂ ዬጌስ፤ ቶሆ ቢራታካ ሜንꬄሬꬂ ዬጌስ፤ ኦኒካ ኢዛ ኦይኪዲ ቴቃናስ ዳንዳይቤና።Though he was often bound with chains and shackles, he had broken the chains and shattered the shackles. Now there was no one with the strength to subdue him.

5ጋላሲኔ ቃማ ዱፎታ ጊዶኒኔ ዙማታ ቦላ ዩዪ ዩዪ ዋሲሼ ባ ቦላ ሹቻራ ቃንጼሬꬂዲ ማዱንꬄስ።Night and day in the tombs and in the mountains he kept crying out and cutting himself with stones.

6ኢዚካ ዬሱሳ ሃሆን ቤኢዳ ማላ ዎꬃን ኢዛኮ ዪዲ ኢዛ ሲንꬃን ጉልባቲዲ ጎይኒዴስ።When the man saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees before Him.

7ኬሂ ዋሲዲ፥ «ሃይሶ ዎጋ ጾሳ ና ዬሱሳ፥ ኔስ ታናራ ኣዚ ዲዜ? ጾሳ ሱንꬃን ታ ኔና ዎሳይስ ታና ዋዪሶፓ» ጊዴስ።And he shouted in a loud voice, “What do You want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You before God not to torture me!”

8ኢዚ ሄሳ ጊዳይ ዬሱሲ ካሴ፥ «ኔኒ ቱና ኣያናይ ሃይሳፌ ኬዛ» ጊዳ ጊሻሳ።For Jesus had already declared, “Come out of this man, you unclean spirit!”

9ሄሳፌ ቃሴ ዬሱሲ ኢዛ፥ «ኔ ሱንꬂ ኦኔ?» ጊዲ ኦይቺዴስ። ኢዚካ፥ «ኑኒ ዳሮታ ጊዲዳ ጊሻስ ታ ሱንꬂ ሌጎኔ ጌቴቴስ» ጊዴስ።“What is your name?” Jesus asked. “My name is Legion,” he replied, “for we are many.”

10ሄ ዴሬፔ ኬሲ ዬዶንታ ማላ ዬሱሳ ኬሂ ዎሲዴስ።And he begged Jesus repeatedly not to send them out of that region.

11ሄን ማታን ዙማ ቦላ ዳሮ ጉዱንꬂ ሄሜቴስ።There on the nearby hillside a large herd of pigs was feeding.

12ቱና ኣያናቲ፥ «ኑ ጉዱንꬃታን ጌላና ማላ ኑስ ኤሮ ጋርኪ?» ጊዲ ዬሱሳ ዎሲዳ።So the demons begged Jesus, “Send us to the pigs, so that we may enter them.”

13ኢዚካ ኢስታስ፥ «ኤሮ» ጊዴስ። ቱና ኣያናቲካ ኣዴዛፔ ኬዚዲ ጉዱንꬃታን ጌሊዳ። ናምኡ ሺ ጊዲዛ ጉዱንꬃቲ ዉሪ ኣፎዛራ ዱጉꬃ ጌንዴሬቲ ዎꬊዲ ኣባን ሚቴቲዳ።He gave them permission, and the unclean spirits came out and went into the pigs, and the herd of about two thousand rushed down the steep bank into the sea and drowned in the water.

14ጉዱንꬃ ሄሚዛይቲ ባቃቲዲ ሃኒዳይሳ ካታማኒኔ ዴሬ ጊዶን ዮቲዳ። ዴሬይካ ሃኒዳይሳ ቤያናስ ባ ዲዛሶፔ ዲዛሶፔ ኬዚዴስ።Those tending the pigs ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, and the people went out to see what had happened.

15ዬሱሳኮ ዪዲ ዳሮ ዳይዳንꬂ ኢዛ ቦላ ዲዛ ኣዴዛ ዎዚናይ ኢዛስ ሲሚን ማይኦ ማይኢዲኔ ዎጋራ ኡቲዳይሳ ዪዳ ኣሳይ ቤኢዲ ባቢዴስ።When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons sitting there, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.

16ሃይሳ ቤኢዳ ኣሳይ ዳይዳንꬂ ኢዛ ቦላ ዲዛ ኣዴዛ ጊሻሲኔ ጉዱንꬃቲ ሃኖይሳ ዴሬዛስ ዮቲዴስ።Those who had seen it described what had happened to the demon-possessed man and also to the pigs.

17ሄሳፌ ጉዬ ሄ ዴሬ ኣሳይ ዬሱሲ ኢስታ ዴሬ ዬዲዲ ባና ማላ ዎሲዴስ።And the people began to beg Jesus to leave their region.

18ዬሱሲ ዎጎሎን ጌሊሺን ዳይዳንꬃቲ ኢዛፔ ኬዚዳ ኣዴዚ ዬሱሳራ ዳናስ ዎሲዴስ።As He was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed by the demons begged to go with Him.

19ዬሱሲ ቃሴ ኢዚ ኦይቺዳይሳ ኣካይ ጊዲ፥ «ኔኒ ጌዴ ኔሶ ባ፤ ጎዳይ ኔስ ኣይ ማላ ጊታ ሚሽ ኦꬂዳኮኔ ኢዚ ኔስ ኦꬂዳ ማሮቴꬃ ኔሶ ኣሳስ ዮታ» ጊዴስ።But Jesus would not allow him. “Go home to your own people,” He said, “and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and what mercy He has shown you.”

20ኣዴዚካ ባሶ ቢዲ ዬሱሲ ኢዛስ ኦꬂዳ ጊታ ሚሽ ዉርሲ ታሙ ካታማ ጌቴቲዛ ዴሬን ዮቲን ሲዪዳይ ዉሪካ ማላሌቲዴስ።So the man went away and began to proclaim throughout the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And everyone was amazed.

21ቃሴካ ዬሱሲ ዎጎሎን ጌሊዲ ጌዴ ፒንꬅ ፒኒዲ ኣባ ኣቻን ዲሺን ዳሮ ኣሳይ ኢዛ ኣች ሺቂዲኔ ኢዛ ጊዶꬂዴስ።When Jesus had again crossed by boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered around Him beside the sea.

22ኣይሁዳታ ዎሳ ኬꬃ ሃላቃታፔ ኢሶይ ኢያኢሮሳ ጌቴቲዛይሲ ኢዚ ዲዛሶ ቢዲ ዬሱሳ ዴሚዳ ማላ ኢዛ ቶሆ ቦላ ኩንዲዲA synagogue leader named Jairus arrived, and seeing Jesus, he fell at His feet

23«ታስ ጉꬃ ና ዲዛራ ሃይቃና ጋዉስ። ኢዛ ሃይቆንታ ፓጻ ዳና ማላ ኔ ሃ ያዳ ኔ ኩሼ ኢዚ ቦላ ዎꬃርኪ?» ጊዲ ኬሂ ዎሲዴስ።and pleaded with Him urgently, “My little daughter is near death. Please come and place Your hands on her, so that she will be healed and live.”

24ዬሱሲካ ኢዛራ ኢሲፌ ቢዴስ። ዳሮ ኣሳይ ኢዛ ኡንኤꬃና ጋካናስ ካሊዴስ።So Jesus went with him, and a large crowd followed and pressed around Him.

25ታማኔ ናምኡ ላይꬅ ኩሜꬅ ሱꬂ ኢዚ ቦላፌ ጉኪዛ ማጫስ ዲዛራ ሄን ኣሳራ ዳዉስ።And a woman was there who had suffered from bleeding for twelve years.

26ኢዛ ባስ ዲዛ ሚሽ ዉርሳና ጋካናስ ኣኪሜፔ ኣኪሜ ላሞን ዳሮ ዳቡራዱስ። ጊዶ ኣቲን ሳኮይ ኢዚስ ጌዴ ዳሪዴስ ኣቲን ኣይኮካ ሎኢቤና።She had borne much agony under the care of many physicians and had spent all she had, but to no avail. Instead, her condition had only grown worse.

27ኢዛ ዬሱሳ ጊሻስ ሲዪዳ ማላ ኣሳ ጊዶራ ዬሱሳ ጉዬራ ካላዳ ኢዛ ማይኦ ቦቻዱስ።When the woman heard about Jesus, she came up through the crowd behind Him and touched His cloak.

28ጋሶይካ፥ «ታ ኣይ ሃናዳካ ኢዛ ማይኦ ኩሼራ ቦቾ ቦቺዳኮካ ፓጻና» ጋዳ ቆፒዳ ጊሻሳ።For she kept saying, “If only I touch His garments, I will be healed.”

29ጉኪዛ ሱꬃይ ሄራካ ኤቂ ኣጊዴስ፤ ኢዛካ ፓጺዳይሳ ባ ኣሳቴꬃን ኤራዱስ።Immediately her bleeding stopped, and she sensed in her body that she was healed of her affliction.

30ባፔ ዎልቃይ ኬዚዳይሳ ዬሱሲ ኤሪዲ ጌዴ ኣሳኮ ሲሚዲ፥ «ታ ማይኦ ኦኔ ቦቺዳይ?» ጊዴስ።At once Jesus was aware that power had gone out from Him. Turning to the crowd, He asked, “Who touched My garments?”

31ኢዛ ካሊዛይቲ ቃሴ፥ «ሃይሲ ዴሬይ ኡንኤቲዲ ሱጌቲሺን ቤያሼ ዋናዳ፥ ‹ታና ቦቺዳይ ኦኔ?› ጋይ» ጊዳ።His disciples answered, “You can see the crowd pressing in on You, and yet You ask, ‘Who touched Me?’”

32ዬሱሲ ሄሳ ኦꬂዳይ ኦናኮኔ ቤያናስ ዩሺ ጼሊዴስ።But He kept looking around to see who had done this.

33ማጫሳያካ ባስ ኣዚ ዋኒዳኮ ኤራዳ ባባሼኔ ኮኮራሼ ያዳ ዬሱሳ ሲንꬃን ጉፋናዳ ቱማ ዉርሳ ኢዛስ ዮታዱስ።Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him trembling in fear, and she told Him the whole truth.

34ኢዚካ፥ «ታ ናዬ! ኔ ኣማኖይ ኔና ኣሺዴስ። ሳሮን ባ! ኔ ዋዬፔ ፓጻ!» ጊዴስ።“Daughter,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be free of your affliction.”

35ዬሱሲ ቡሮ ሃሳያን ዲሺን ኣይሁዳታ ዎሳ ኬꬃ ሃላቃ ኢያኢሮሳ ሶፔ ዪዲ ኢያኢሮሳስ፥ «ኔ ናያ ሃይቃዱስ፤ ጎዳ ሜላ ኣዛስ ዳቡርሳይ?» ጊዳ።While He was still speaking, messengers from the house of Jairus arrived and said, “Your daughter is dead; why bother the Teacher anymore?”

36ጊዶ ኣቲን ዬሱሲ ኢስታ ሃሳያ ሌፒ ሂስቲዲ ኣይሁዳታ ዎሳ ኬꬃ ሃላቃዛ፥ «ኔ ኣማኖ ጻላ ኣማና ኣቲን ባቦፋ!» ጊዴስ።But Jesus overheard their conversation and said to Jairus, “Do not be afraid; just believe.”

37ጴጽሮሳ፥ ያቆቤራኔ ያቆቤ ኢሻ ዮሃኒሳፔ ኣቲን ሃራይ ኦኒካ ኢዛ ካላና ማላ ኮዪቤና።And He did not allow anyone to accompany Him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James.

38ጌዴ ኣይሁዳታ ዎሳ ኬꬃ ሃላቃዛሶ ጋኪዳ ማላ ኣሳይ ዋሲሼ ጫሞ ዬሆ ዬኪዛይሳ ቤዪዴስ።When they arrived at the house of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw the commotion and the people weeping and wailing loudly.

39ሶ ጌሊዲ፥ «ሃይሲ ዉሪ ኣዛ ዋሶኔ ኣዛ ዬሆ? ናያ ꬊስካዱስ ኣቲን ሃይቃቤኩ» ጊዴስ።He went inside and asked, “Why all this commotion and weeping? The child is not dead, but asleep.”

40ቃሴ ኣሳይ ዉሪ ኢዛ ቦላ ሚጪዴስ፤ ኣሳ ዉርሲካ ኬꬃፌ ኬሲዲ ናዪ ኣዋኔ ናዪ ኣዪዮ ቃሴካ ኢዛራ ኢሲፌ ዪዳይታ ኢዛ ካሊዛይታ ጻላ ካሌꬂዲ ናያ ዲዛሶ ጌሊዴስ።And they laughed at Him. After He had put them all outside, He took the child’s father and mother and His own companions, and went in to see the child.

41ናይ ኩሼካ ኦይኪዲ፥ «ጻቢታ ኩም!» ጊዴስ። «ጻቢታ ኩም!» ጉሳስ ቢርሼꬂ፥ «ሃኔ ናዬ ዴንዳ» ጉሳ።Taking her by the hand, Jesus said, “Talitha koum!” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”

42ናያካ ሄራካ ዴንዳ ኤቃዱስ፤ ያኔ ሃ ሄሜታዱስ። ኢዚስካ ላይꬃይ ታማኔ ናምኣ፤ ኣሳይካ ሄ ሃኖዛን ዳሮ ማላሌቲዴስ።Immediately the girl got up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). And at once they were utterly astounded.

43ዬሱሲ ሃይሳ ኦኒካ ኤሮንታ ማላ ኬሂ ሚንꬂ ዮቲዴስ፤ «ናይስ ማና ቁማ ኢሚቴ» ጊዴስ።Then Jesus gave strict orders that no one should know about this, and He told them to give her something to eat.
