1. 1GMVEኢስቲ ዬሩሳላሜ ማታን ዳብራዛይቴ ዙማ ቦላ ዲዛ ቤቴፋጌ ጌቴቲዛሶ ጋኪዳ ማላ ዬሱሲ ባና ካሊዛይታፔ ናምኣታ ኪቲዴስ።BSBBSB: As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent out two disciples,
2. 2GMVE«ሃኖ ኢንቴ ማታን ዲዛ ጉታዮ ቢዲ ኢንቴ ሄ ጋኪዳ ማላ ኢሲ ሃሬ ዲዛራ ባ ጉቴይራ ቃሼታ ዲሺን ኢንቴ ዴማና። ቢርሺዲ ሃ ታኮ ኤኪ ዪቴ።BSBBSB: saying to them, “Go into the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt beside her. Untie them and bring them to Me.
3. 3GMVEኦኒካ ኢንቴና፥ ‹ኣይስ ሃይሳꬆ ኦꬄቲ?› ጊኮ፥ ‹ጎዳይ ኢስታ ኮዬስ› ጊቴ፤ ኢንቴና ኦይቺዛዴይ ሄራካ ዬዳና።BSBBSB: If anyone questions you, tell him that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.”
4. 4GMVE«ሃይሲካ ሃኒዛይ ካሴ ናቤን ጺዮኒስ ሂዝጊቴ፥ ‹ሄኮ! ኔ ካዎይ ኣሽኬ ጊዲዲ ሃሬዮኔ ሃሬይ ጉቴዮ ቶጊዲ ኔኮ ያና› ጌቴቲዳይሲ ፖሌታናሳ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet:
5. 6GMVEኢዛ ካሊዛይቲ ዬሱሲ ኢስታስ ዮቲዳ ማላ ኦꬂዳ።BSBBSB: So the disciples went and did as Jesus had directed them.
6. 7GMVEሃሬዮ ኢዚ ጉቴይራ ኤሂዲ ባ ማይኦ ኢስታ ቦላ ዎꬂን ኢዚካ ሃሬታ ቶጊዴስ።BSBBSB: They brought the donkey and the colt and laid their cloaks on them, and Jesus sat on them.
7. 8GMVEዴራፔ ዳሪዛ ባጋይ ባ ማይኦ ኦጌ ቦላ ሚጪዴስ፤ ባጋ ኣሳይ ሚꬃ ቦንጮ ዱꬂ ዱꬂ ኦጌ ቦላ ኣꬂ ኣꬂ ዬጊዴስ።BSBBSB: A massive crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.
8. 9GMVEኢዛፔ ሲንꬃራ ቢዛ ዴሬይኔ ጉዬራ ካሊዛ ዴሬይካ ባ ቃላ ꬎቁ ሂስቲዲ፥ «ሆሳኢና! ዳዊቴ ናይ ጋላቴቶ! ጎዳ ሱንꬃን ዪዳይ ኣንጄቲዳዴ! ጾሲ ጋላቴቶ!» ጊዳ።BSBBSB: The crowds that went ahead of Him and those that followed were shouting: “Hosanna to the Son of David!” “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest!”
9. 10GMVEኢዚ ዬሩሳላሜ ጌሊዳ ማላ ካታማ ኣሳይ ዉሪ፥ «ሃይሲ ኦኔ?» ጊዲ ያርክ ያርኪዴስ።BSBBSB: When Jesus had entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?”
10. 11GMVEኢዛ ካሊዲ ዪዳ ዴሬዚካ፥ «ሃይሲ ጋሊላ ጊዶን ዲዛ ናዚሬቴፔ ዪዳ ናቤ ዬሱሳ ጊዴኔ?» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: The crowds replied, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”
11. 12GMVEሄሳፌ ጉዬ ዬሱሲ ጾሳ ኬꬅ ጌሊዲ ጾሳ ኬꬃ ካሬ ጊዶን ጋꬃን ባይዚዛይታኔ ሻሚዛይታ ጎዲዴስ። ሚሽ ላሚዛይታ ጻራጴዛታኔ ሃራጴ ባይዚዛይታ ኦይዴ ሺሪ ሺሪ ዬጊዲ፥ « ‹ታ ኬꬃይ ዎሳ ኬꬄ ጌቴቴስ› ጌቴቲዲ ጻፌቲዴስ፤ ኢንቴ ቃሴ ቦንቂዛይታ ጎንጎሎ ሂስቲዴታ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those selling doves.
12. 14GMVEኣይፌ ቆቄታኔ ቶሆይ ሲሊዳ ኣሳታ ዬሱሳኮ ጾሳ ኬꬄ ኤሂዳ። ኢዚካ ኢስታ ፓꬂዴስ።BSBBSB: The blind and the lame came to Him at the temple, and He healed them.
13. 15GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ቄሴታ ሃላቃቲኔ ሙሴ ዎጋ ታማርሲዛይቲ ኢዚ ኦꬂዳ ማላታታ ቤኢዳይሳኒኔ ጉꬃ ናይቲ፥ «ዎዜ ካዎ፥ ጋላታይ ዳዊቴ ናስ ጊዶ!» ጊዲ ዋሲዛይሳ ሲዪዳ ጊሻስ ዳሮ ሃንቄቲዳ።BSBBSB: But the chief priests and scribes were indignant when they saw the wonders He performed and the children shouting in the temple courts, “Hosanna to the Son of David!”
14. 16GMVEኢስቲካ ዬሱሳ፥ «ሃይቲ ናይቲ ጊዛይሳ ሲያይ?» ጊዳ፤ ዬሱሲካ ኢስታስ፥ «ኤ ሲያዲስ፤ ናይታ ዶናኒኔ ꬋሚዛ ቄሪ ናይታ ዶናን ታኒ ጋላታ ጊጊሳዲስ ጊዛሶ ሙሌራካ ናባቢ ኤሬኬቲ?» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: “Do You hear what these children are saying?” they asked. “Yes,” Jesus answered. “Have you never read: ‘From the mouths of children and infants You have ordained praise’?”
15. 17GMVEኢስታ ዬጊ ኣጊዲ ሄ ካታማፔ ኬዚዲ ቢታኒያ ጌቴቲዛሶ ቢዲ ሄን ኣቂዴስ።BSBBSB: Then He left them and went out of the city to Bethany, where He spent the night.
16. 18GMVEዬሱሲ ዎንቴꬃ ጋላስ ማላዶ ጉዬ ካታማ ሲሚሺን ኢዛ ጋፊሲዴስ።BSBBSB: In the morning, as Jesus was returning to the city, He was hungry.
17. 19GMVEኦጌ ማታን ኢሲ ባላሴ ጌቴቲዛ ሚꬅ ቤኢዲ ጌዴ ኢዚኮ ሺቂሺን ሃይꬅ ጻላላፔ ኣቲን ኣይፌይ ባይንዳይሳ ቤኢዲ፥ «ሂያፔ ጉዬ ኔ ቦላ ኣይፌይ ዶፖ!» ጊን ባላሴ ሚꬃያ ሄራካ ሜላዱስ።BSBBSB: Seeing a fig tree by the road, He went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. “May you never bear fruit again!” He said. And immediately the tree withered.
18. 20GMVEዬሱሳ ካሊዛይቲ ሄሳ ቤኢዲኔ ማላሌቲዲ፥ «ሃና ባላሴያ ዋናዳ ሄራካ ሜላዴ?» ጊዳ።BSBBSB: When the disciples saw this, they marveled and asked, “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?”
19. 21GMVEዬሱሲካ ኢስታ፥ «ታ ኢንቴስ ቱሙ ጋይስ፤ ኢንቴስ ኣማኖይ ዲኮኔ ኢንቴ ሲꬎንታ ኣጊኮ ባላሴ ሚꬃይ ቦላ ሃኒዳይሳ ማላ ጻላላ ጊዶንታ ሃይሳ ዙማ፥ ‹ሃይሳፌ ꬎቃሌታዳ ዱጌ ኣባን ጌላ› ኢንቴ ጊዳኮካ ኢዚ ጌላና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.
20. 22GMVEኢንቴስ ኣማኖይ ዲኮ ኢንቴ ዎሳን ኦይቺዳ ሚሽ ኡባካ ኤካና።BSBBSB: If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”
21. 23GMVEዬሱሲ ጾሳ ኬꬄ ጌሊዲ ታማርሲሺን ቄሴታ ሃላቃቲኔ ዴሬ ጪማቲ ኢዛኮ ሺቂዲ፥ «ሃይሳ ዉርሳ ኦና ሼኔን ኦꬃይ? ሃይሳ ኦꬃናስ ሼኔ ኔስ ኦኒ ኢሚዴ?» ጊዲ ኢዛ ኦይቺዳ።BSBBSB: When Jesus returned to the temple courts and began to teach, the chief priests and elders of the people came up to Him. “By what authority are You doing these things?” they asked. “And who gave You this authority?”
22. 24GMVEዬሱሲካ ኢስታስ ዛሪዲ፥ «ታኒካ ኢንቴና ኢሲ ሚሽ ኦይቻይስ፤ ኢንቴ ታስ ዛሪኮ ታኒካ ሃይታ ኦና ሼኔን ኦꬂዛኮ ኢንቴስ ዮታና።BSBBSB: “I will also ask you one question,” Jesus replied, “and if you answer Me, I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things.
23. 25GMVEዮሃኒሳ ጺንቃታይ ኣዋፔ ዪዴ? ሳሎፔ ዪዴዬ? ኣሳፔ?» ጊዴስ። ኢስቲካ፥ «ኑ፥ ‹ሳሎፔ ዪዴስ› ጊኮ፥ ‹ሂስቲን ኣዛስ ኣማኒቤኬቲ?› ጋና ጊዲ ባ ጊዶን ኢሶይ ኢሶይ ኢሳራ ዞሬቲዳ።BSBBSB: What was the source of John’s baptism? Was it from heaven or from men?” They deliberated among themselves and said, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will ask, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’
24. 26GMVEቃሴ ኑ፥ ‹ኣሳፔ› ጊኮ፥ ኣሳይ ዉሪካ ዮሃኒሳ ናቤ ጊዲ ኣማኒዛ ጊሻስ ኑ ባቦስ» ጊዳ።BSBBSB: But if we say, ‘From men,’ we are afraid of the people, for they all regard John as a prophet.”
25. 27GMVEሄሳ ጊሻስ ዬሱሳስ፥ «ኑ ኤሮኮ» ጊዲ ዛሪዳ። ኢዚካ ኢስታስ፥ «ሃይታ ታ ኦና ሼኔን ኦꬂዛኮ ታኒካ ኢንቴስ ዮቲኬ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: So they answered, “We do not know.” And Jesus replied, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.
26. 28GMVEዬሱሲ ኢስታ፥ «ኢንቴስ ኣይ ሚሳቲዜ? ናምኡ ኣቱማ ናይ ዲዛ ኢሳዴይ ዴስ፤ ኢዚካ ኮይሮ ናዛኮ ቢዲ፥ ‹ታ ናዞ! ሃች ጌዴ ዎይኔ ሚꬃሶ ባዳ ኦꬃ› ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: But what do you think? There was a man who had two sons. He went to the first one and said, ‘Son, go and work today in the vineyard.’
27. 29GMVEናዚ ቃሴ፥ ‹ቢኬ!› ጊዲኔ ጉዬፔ ሙዞቲዲ ቢዴስ።BSBBSB: ‘I will not,’ he replied. But later he changed his mind and went.
28. 30GMVE«ናምኣንꬆ ናዛካ ካሴይሳꬆካ፥ ‹ባ!› ጊን ናዚ፥ ‹ኤሮ!› ጊዲ ቦንታ ኣጋጊዴስ።BSBBSB: Then the man went to the second son and told him the same thing. ‘I will, sir,’ he said. But he did not go.
29. 31GMVEሃይታ ናምኣታፔ ኣዋ ሼኔ ፖሊዳይ ኣዋይሴ?» ጊዲ ኦይቺዴስ። ኢስቲካ፥ «ኮይሮ ናዛ!» ጊዳ። ዬሱሲካ ኢስታስ፥ «ታ ኢንቴስ ቱሙ ጋይስ፤ ቃራጻ ቃንጺሲዛይቲኔ ላይማቲዛይቲ ሳሎ ካዎቴꬅ ኢንቴፌ ሲንꬃን ጌላና።BSBBSB: Which of the two did the will of his father?” “The first,” they answered. Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God before you.
30. 32GMVE«ጻማቂዛ ዮሃኒሲ ኢንቴና ጺሎቴꬃ ኦጌ ቤሳናስ ኢንቴኮ ዪዴስ ሺን ኢንቴ ኢዚ ጊዛይሳ ኣማኒቤኬታ፤ ጊዶ ኣቲን ቃራጻ ቃንጺሲዛይቲኔ ላይማቲዛይቲ ጊዲኮ ኣማኒዳ፤ ኢዚ ሃኒዳይሳ ኢንቴ ቤዪ ሲሚዲካ ማሮቴꬃን ጌሊዲ ኣማኒቤኬታ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him.
31. 33GMVE«ሃራ ሌሚሶካ ሲዪቴ፤ ዎይኔ ሚꬂ ቶኪዛሶሆይ ዲዛዴይ ሄ ዎይኔዛስ ቢርዳ ዩሺ ኣꬂዲ ዎይኔዛ ኣይፌ ጉምኣናስ ኦላ ቦኪዴስ። ዎይኔዛ ናጋናስ ሚꬃ ቦላ ሻኮ ጊግሲዴስ። ሄሳፌ ጉዬ ጋዴዛ ዎይኔ ሚꬃራ ጎዪዛይታስ ኪራ ኢሚዲ ሃራ ዴሬ ቢዴስ።BSBBSB: Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it, and built a tower. Then he rented it out to some tenants and went away on a journey.
32. 34GMVEቦኔይ ጋኪሺን ዎይኔ ሚꬃዛ ኣይፌ ኤካናስ ባ ኣሽካራታ ጋዴዛ ጎዪዛይታኮ ዬዲዴስ።BSBBSB: When the harvest time drew near, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his share of the fruit.
33. 35GMVEጋዴዛ ጎዪዛይቲ ኣሽካራታ ኦይኪዲ ኢሳ ዎꬊዳ፤ ኢሳ ቃሴ ሹቻን ጫዲዳ።BSBBSB: But the tenants seized his servants. They beat one, killed another, and stoned a third.
34. 36GMVEጋዳ ጎዳይ ካሴይታፔ ኣꬊዛ ሃራ ኣሽካራታ ዬዲዴስ። ጎዪዛይቲ ሃኢካ ካሴይታ ቦላ ኦꬂዳይሳ ማላካ ኢስታ ቦላካ ፖሊዳ።BSBBSB: Again, he sent other servants, more than the first group. But the tenants did the same to them.
35. 37GMVEዉርሴꬃን ኦኔ ኤሪዛይ፥ ‹ኢስቲ ኢዛ ቦንቻናኮ› ጊዲ ባ ና ኣꬂ ዬዲዴስ።BSBBSB: Finally, he sent his son to them. ‘They will respect my son,’ he said.
36. 38GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ጋዳ ጎዪዛይቲ ናዛ ቤኢዳ ማላ፥ ‹ሃይሲ ኢዛ ላታናይሳኮ! ኣኔ ሃ ዪቴ፤ ኢዛ ዎꬊዲ ጋዳ ላቶስ› ጊዳ።BSBBSB: But when the tenants saw the son, they said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and take his inheritance.’
37. 39GMVEናዛ ኦይኪዲ ዎይኔይ ቶኬቲዳሶዛፔ ካሬ ኬሲዲ ዎꬊዳ።BSBBSB: So they seized him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.
38. 40GMVE«ኤሮ! ዎይኔዛ ጎዳይ ዪዛ ዎዴ ሄ ጋዳ ጎዪዛ ኣሳታ ዎስታና ኢንቴስ ሚሳቲዜ?» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard returns, what will he do to those tenants?”
39. 41GMVEኢስቲካ፥ «ሄይታ ኢታታ ዳሮ ዋዪሲ ዎꬊዲ ዎይኔይ ቶኬቲዛ ጋዳፔ ቤሲዛ ዎይኔ ኣይፌ ዎዴራ ኢዛስ ኢሚዛ ሃራ ጎሻንቻታስ ጋዳ ኪራሳና» ጊ ኢዛስ ዛሪዳ።BSBBSB: “He will bring those wretches to a wretched end,” they replied, “and will rent out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him his share of the fruit at harvest time.”
40. 42GMVEዬሱሲካ ኢስታስ፥ «ጌሻ ማጻፋን፥ ‹ጊምቤ ኬጺዛይቲ ኢታ ጊዲ ዎራ ዬጊዳ ሹቻይ ኬꬃስ ጉላ ቦላ ዎꬊዛ ሹች ጊዲዴስ፤ ጾሲ ሃይሳ ኦꬂዴስ፤ ኢዛ ኦሶይካ ኑ ኣይፌስ ማላሊሲዛዝ› ጌቴቲ ጻፌቲዳይሳ ናባቢቤኬቲ?BSBBSB: Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?
41. 43GMVE«ሄሳ ጊሻስ ታ ኢንቴስ ጾሳ ካዎቴꬂ ኢንቴፌ ኤኬታዳ ኣይፌ ኣይፊዛ ዴሬታስ ኢሜታና።BSBBSB: Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.
42. 44GMVEሃይሳ ሹቻ ቦላ ኩንዲዛይ ሜቃና፤ ሹቻይ ኢዛ ቦላ ዎꬊዛዴይካ ሊቃና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed.”
43. 45GMVEቄሴታ ሃላቃቲኔ ፋርሳዌቲ ኢዛ ሌሚሶይ ኢስታ ጊሻስ ጊዲዳይሳ ኤሪዳ።BSBBSB: When the chief priests and Pharisees heard His parables, they knew that Jesus was speaking about them.
44. 46GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ኢስቲ ኢዛ ኦይኪ ቃቾንታ ማላ ኣሳይ ዬሱሳ ናቤ ማላ ጼሊዛ ጊሻስ ባቢዳ።BSBBSB: Although they wanted to arrest Him, they were afraid of the crowds, because the people regarded Him as a prophet.
