1. The Portions for the Tribes

2. 1GNVNow these are the names of the tribes. From the North side, to the coast towarde Hethlon, as one goeth to Hamath, Hazar, Enan, and the border of Damascus Northwarde the coast of Hamath, euen from the East side to the West shall be a portion for Dan.BSBBSB: “Now these are the names of the tribes: At the northern frontier, Dan will have one portion bordering the road of Hethlon to Lebo-hamath and running on to Hazar-enan on the border of Damascus with Hamath to the north, and extending from the east side to the west side.
3. 2GNVAnd by the border of Dan from the East side vnto the West side, a portion for Asher.BSBBSB: Asher will have one portion bordering the territory of Dan from east to west.
4. 3GNVAnd by the border of Asher from the East parte euen vnto the West parte a portion for Naphtali.BSBBSB: Naphtali will have one portion bordering the territory of Asher from east to west.
5. 4GNVAnd by the border of Naphtali from the East quarter vnto the West side, a portion for Manasseh.BSBBSB: Manasseh will have one portion bordering the territory of Naphtali from east to west.
6. 5GNVAnd by the border of Manasseh from the East side vnto the West side a portion for Ephraim.BSBBSB: Ephraim will have one portion bordering the territory of Manasseh from east to west.
7. 6GNVAnd by the border of Ephraim, from the East part euen vnto the West part, a portion for Reuben.BSBBSB: Reuben will have one portion bordering the territory of Ephraim from east to west.
8. 7GNVAnd by the border of Reuben, from the East quarter vnto the West quarter, a portion for Iudah.BSBBSB: Judah will have one portion bordering the territory of Reuben from east to west.

9. The Portions for the Priests and Levites

10. 8GNVAnd by the border of Iudah from the East part vnto the West part shall be the offering which they shall offer of fiue and twentie thousande reedes broade, and of length as one of the other parts, from the East side vnto the Westside, and the Sanctuarie shalbe in the middes of it.BSBBSB: Bordering the territory of Judah, from east to west, will be the portion you are to set apart. It will be 25,000 cubits wide, and the length of a tribal portion from east to west. In the center will be the sanctuary.
11. 9GNVThe oblation that ye shall offer vnto the Lord, shalbe of fiue and twentie thousande long, and of ten thousand the breadth.BSBBSB: The special portion you set apart to the LORD shall be 25,000 cubits long and 10,000 cubits wide.
12. 10GNVAnd for them, euen for the Priestes shalbe this holy oblation, towarde the North fiue and twentie thousande long, and towarde the West, ten thousande broade, and towarde the East ten thousand broad, and towarde the South fiue and twentie thousand long, and the Sanctuarie of the Lord shalbe in the middes thereof.BSBBSB: This will be the holy portion for the priests. It will be 25,000 cubits long on the north side, 10,000 cubits wide on the west side, 10,000 cubits wide on the east side, and 25,000 cubits long on the south side. In the center will be the sanctuary of the LORD.
13. 11GNVIt shalbe for the Priestes that are sanctified of the sonnes of Zadok, which haue kept my charge, which went not astray when the children of Israel went astray, as the Leuites went astray.BSBBSB: It will be for the consecrated priests, the descendants of Zadok, who kept My charge and did not go astray as the Levites did when the Israelites went astray.
14. 12GNVTherefore this oblation of the land that is offred, shalbe theirs, as a thing most holy by the border of the Leuites.BSBBSB: It will be a special portion for them set apart from the land, a most holy portion adjacent to the territory of the Levites.
15. 13GNVAnd ouer against the border of the Priests the Leuites shall haue fiue and twentie thousande long, and ten thousande broade: all the length shalbe fiue and twentie thousand, and the breadth ten thousande.BSBBSB: Bordering the territory of the priests, the Levites shall have an area 25,000 cubits long and 10,000 cubits wide. The whole length will be 25,000 cubits, and the width 10,000 cubits.
16. 14GNVAnd they shall not sel of it, neither change it, nor abalienate the first fruites of the land: for it is holy vnto the Lord.BSBBSB: They must not sell or exchange any of it, and they must not transfer this best part of the land, for it is holy to the LORD.

17. The Common Portion

18. 15GNVAnd the fiue thousand that are left in the breadth ouer against the fiue and twentie thousande, shall be a prophane place for the citie, for housing, and for suburbes, and the citie shalbe in the middes thereof.BSBBSB: The remaining area, 5,000 cubits wide and 25,000 cubits long, will be for common use by the city, for houses, and for pastureland. The city will be in the center of it
19. 16GNVAnd these shall be the measures thereof, the North part fiue hundreth and foure thousand, and the South parte fiue hundreth and foure thousande, and the East parte fiue hundreth and foure thousande, and the West parte fiue hundreth and foure thousande.BSBBSB: and will have these measurements: 4,500 cubits on the north side, 4,500 cubits on the south side, 4,500 cubits on the east side, and 4,500 cubits on the west side.
20. 17GNVAnd the suburbes of the citie shall be toward the North two hundreth and fiftie, and towarde the South two hundreth and fiftie, and towarde the East two hundreth and fiftie, and towarde the West two hundreth and fiftie.BSBBSB: The pastureland of the city will extend 250 cubits to the north, 250 cubits to the south, 250 cubits to the east, and 250 cubits to the west.
21. 18GNVAnd the residue in length ouer against the oblation of the holy portion shalbe ten thousand Eastwarde, and ten thousand Westwarde: and it shalbe ouer against the oblation of the holy portion, and the encrease thereof shall be for foode vnto them that serue in the citie.BSBBSB: The remainder of the length bordering the holy portion and running adjacent to it will be 10,000 cubits on the east side and 10,000 cubits on the west side. Its produce will supply food for the workers of the city.
22. 19GNVAnd they that serue in the citie, shalbe of all the tribes of Israel that shall serue therein.BSBBSB: The workers of the city who cultivate it will come from all the tribes of Israel.
23. 20GNVAll the oblation shalbe fiue and twentie thousand with fiue and twentie thousand: you shall offer this oblation foure square for the Sanctuarie, and for the possession of the citie.BSBBSB: The entire portion will be a square, 25,000 cubits by 25,000 cubits. You are to set apart the holy portion, along with the city property.

24. The Portion for the Prince

25. 21GNVAnd the residue shalbe for the prince on the one side and on the other of the oblation of the Sanctuarie, and of the possession of the citie, ouer against the fiue and twentie thousand of the oblation toward the East border, and Westward ouer against the fiue and twentie thousande towarde the West border, ouer against shalbe for the portion of the prince: this shall be the holy oblation, and the house of the Sanctuarie shalbe in the middes thereof.BSBBSB: The remaining area on both sides of the holy portion and of the property of the city will belong to the prince. He will own the land adjacent to the tribal portions, extending eastward from the 25,000 cubits of the holy district toward the eastern border, and westward from the 25,000 cubits to the western border. And in the center of them will be the holy portion and the sanctuary of the temple.
26. 22GNVMoreouer, from the possession of the Leuites, and from the possession of the citie, that which is in the middes shall be the princes: betweene the border of Iudah, and betweene the border of Beniamin shall be the princes.BSBBSB: So the Levitical property and the city property will lie in the center of the area belonging to the prince—the area between the borders of Judah and Benjamin.

27. The Portions for the Remaining Tribes

28. 23GNVAnd the rest of the tribes shalbe thus: from the East parte vnto the West parte Beniamin shalbe a portion.BSBBSB: As for the rest of the tribes: Benjamin will have one portion extending from the east side to the west side.
29. 24GNVAnd by the border of Beniamin, from the East side vnto the West side Simeon a portion.BSBBSB: Simeon will have one portion bordering the territory of Benjamin from east to west.
30. 25GNVAnd by the border of Simeon from the East part vnto the West part, Isshachar a portion.BSBBSB: Issachar will have one portion bordering the territory of Simeon from east to west.
31. 26GNVAnd by the border of Isshachar, from the East side vnto the West, Zebulun a portion.BSBBSB: Zebulun will have one portion bordering the territory of Issachar from east to west.
32. 27GNVAnd by the border of Zebulun from the East parte vnto the West part, Gad a portion.BSBBSB: And Gad will have one portion bordering the territory of Zebulun from east to west.
33. 28GNVAnd by the border of Gad at the South side, towarde Temath, the border shall be euen from Tamar vnto the waters of Meribath in Kadesh, and to the riuer, that runneth into the maine sea.BSBBSB: The southern border of Gad will run from Tamar to the waters of Meribath-kadesh, then along the Brook of Egypt and out to the Great Sea.
34. 29GNVThis is the lande, which ye shall distribute vnto the tribes of Israel for inheritance, and these are their portions, saith the Lord God.BSBBSB: This is the land you are to allot as an inheritance to the tribes of Israel, and these will be their portions,” declares the Lord GOD.

35. The City Gates and Dimensions

36. 30GNVAnd these are the boundes of the citie, on the North side fiue hundreth, and foure thousande measures.BSBBSB: “These will be the exits of the city: Beginning on the north side, which will be 4,500 cubits long,
37. 31GNVAnd the gates of the citie shalbe after the names of the tribes of Israel, the gates Northwarde, one gate of Reuben, one gate of Iudah, and one gate of Leui.BSBBSB: the gates of the city will be named after the tribes of Israel. On the north side there will be three gates: the gate of Reuben, the gate of Judah, and the gate of Levi.
38. 32GNVAnd at the East side fiue hundreth and foure thousande, and three gates, and one gate of Ioseph, one gate of Beiamin, and one gate of Dan.BSBBSB: On the east side, which will be 4,500 cubits long, there will be three gates: the gate of Joseph, the gate of Benjamin, and the gate of Dan.
39. 33GNVAnd at the South side, fiue hundreth and foure thousande measures, and three portes, one gate of Simeon, one gate of Isshachar, and one gate of Zebulun.BSBBSB: On the south side, which will be 4,500 cubits long, there will be three gates: the gate of Simeon, the gate of Issachar, and the gate of Zebulun.
40. 34GNVAt the West side, fiue hundreth and foure thousand, with their three gates, one gate of Gad, one gate of Asher, and one gate of Naphtali.BSBBSB: And on the west side, which will be 4,500 cubits long, there will be three gates: the gate of Gad, the gate of Asher, and the gate of Naphtali.
41. 35GNVIt was rounde about eighteene thousande measures, and the name of the citie from that day shalbe, The Lord is there.BSBBSB: The perimeter of the city will be 18,000 cubits, and from that day on the name of the city will be: THE LORD IS THERE.”
