GofaBerean Standard Bible

1. 1GOFEሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ ጎዳይ አብራመስ አሙሆን ቆንጭድ፥ “አብራመ ባቦፋ፥ ታኒ ነዉ ጎንዳለ፥ ነ ዎይቶይ ግታ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: After these events, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.”
2. 2GOFEሽን አብራመይ፥ “አቤት ኡባ ሃርያ ጎዳዉ፥ ኔኒ እምያ ዎይቶይ ታዉ አይሴ? ታዉ የሎይ ባዋ፤ ቡሮ ታና ላታናይ ዳማስቆ ኤልአዛራ ግደኔ?BSBBSB: But Abram replied, “O Lord GOD, what can You give me, since I remain childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?”
3. 3GOFEአብራመይ፥ ኔኒ ታዉ የሎ እማቦና ግሾ ታ ኬꬃን ደእያ ታ አይለይ ታና ላታና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Abram continued, “Behold, You have given me no offspring, so a servant in my household will be my heir.”
4. 4GOFEጎዳይ እያኮ፥ “ሀ አይለይ ነና ላተና፥ ሽን ነ ጉልባታፐ ከያና ነ ናአይ ነና ላታና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Then the word of the LORD came to Abram, saying, “This one will not be your heir, but one who comes from your own body will be your heir.”
5. 5GOFEያግ ስሚድ እያ ካረ ከስድ፥ “ፑደ ሳሎ ፄላ፥ ኔኒ ፆልንቶታ ፓይዳናዉ ዳንዳእኮ ፓይዳ፥ ህዛ ነ ሼሻይካ ሄሳዳ ግዳና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: And the LORD took him outside and said, “Now look to the heavens and count the stars, if you are able.” Then He told him, “So shall your offspring be.”
6. 6GOFEአብራመይ ጎዳ አማንስ፤ ጎዳይ እያዉ ሄሳ ፅሎተꬅ ኦꬅድ ኤክስ።BSBBSB: Abram believed the LORD, and it was credited to him as righteousness.
7. 7GOFEቃስካ ጎዳይ እያኮ፥ “ኔኒ ሀ ቢታ ላታና መላ ካልዳወታ ቢታፈ ኡረ ካታማፐ ነና ከስዳ ጎዳይ ታና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: The LORD also told him, “I am the LORD, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to possess.”
8. 8GOFEሽን አብራመይ እያኮ፥ “አቤት ኡባ ሃርያ ጎዳዉ ሀ ቢታ ታ ላታናይሳ አይብን ኤሮ?” ያግስ።BSBBSB: But Abram replied, “Lord GOD, how can I know that I will possess it?”
9. 9GOFEጎዳይ እያኮ፥ “ሄꬑ ላይꬅ ግድዳ እስ ኡስ፥ እስ ዴሽ፥ እስ ዶርሰነ ሄሳዳካ ሆለነ ጎርለ ታዉ ኤካዳ ያ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: And the LORD said to him, “Bring Me a heifer, a goat, and a ram, each three years old, along with a turtledove and a young pigeon.”
10. 10GOFEአብራመይ ሄሳታ ኡባ ፆሳስ ኤህድ ካፎት አትሽን፥ ሀራታ ቃንፅድ ናምኡ ከስ ሻክድ እሱዋ እሱዋ ግናን ዎꬅስ።BSBBSB: So Abram brought all these to Him, split each of them down the middle, and laid the halves opposite each other. The birds, however, he did not cut in half.
11. 11GOFEአንኮት ሄ አሹዋ ማናዉ ቦላፈ ዎꬍዶሶና፤ ሽን አብራመይ ኤንታ ጎድስ።BSBBSB: And the birds of prey descended on the carcasses, but Abram drove them away.
12. 12GOFEአው ዉላና ሀንያ ዎደ አብራመ ዎልቃማ ꬍስኮይ ሾጭ የግስ። ዳጋንꬅያ ዎልቃማ ꬉም እያ ቦላ ዎꬍስ።BSBBSB: As the sun was setting, Abram fell into a deep sleep, and suddenly great terror and darkness overwhelmed him.
13. 13GOFEጎዳይ አብራመኮ፥ “ነ ሼሻይ አላጋ ቢታን በተ አስ ግድድ ዳናይሳ ሎይꬃዳ ኤራ፤ ኤንቲ አይለተꬃን ኦይዱ ፄቱ ላይꬅ ናቀት ሃረታና።BSBBSB: Then the LORD said to Abram, “Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not their own, and they will be enslaved and mistreated four hundred years.
14. 14GOFEሽን ኤንታና አይለተꬃን ሃርያ ደርያ ታ ፕርዳና፤ ኤንቲ ሄ ቢታፈ ከይሸ ዳሮ ሻሎ ኤክድ ከያና።BSBBSB: But I will judge the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will depart with many possessions.
15. 15GOFEነና ግድኮ፥ ኔኒ ነ ማይዛታኮ ሳሮተꬃን ባና። ኔኒ ዳሮ ጭማዳ ሞገታና።BSBBSB: You, however, will go to your fathers in peace and be buried at a ripe old age.
16. 16GOFEነ ሼሻይ ቡሮ ኦይዳንꬆ የለተꬃን ሀ ቢታ ስማና። አይስ ጊኮ፥ አሞረታ ናጋራይ ፕርደታና ልክያ ቡሮ ጋክቤና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: In the fourth generation your descendants will return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.”
17. 17GOFEአው ዉልን ሳእ ꬉማ ልንፅ ግን፥ ጮጨ ታማ ጩይነ ታማ ላጮይ በንትድ ሻከትዳ አሹዋ ግዶራ አꬍስ።BSBBSB: When the sun had set and darkness had fallen, behold, a smoking firepot and a flaming torch appeared and passed between the halves of the carcasses.
18. 18GOFEሄ ጋላስ ጎዳይ አብራመስ፥ “ግብፀ ሻፋፐ ዶምድ ኤፍራፂሳ ሻፋ ጋካናዉ ደእያ ቢታ ኡባ ታኒ ነ ሼሻስ እማና።BSBBSB: On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, “To your descendants I have given this land—from the river of Egypt to the great River Euphrates—
19. 19GOFEሄ ቢታይ ቄናታ ቢታ፥ ቀነዛታ ቢታ፥ ቃድሞነታ ቢታ፥BSBBSB: the land of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites,
20. 20GOFEህተታ ቢታ፥ ፓርዘታ ቢታ፥ ራፋይመታ ቢታ፥BSBBSB: Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites,
21. 21GOFEአሞረታ ቢታ፥ ካናነታ ቢታ፥ ገርገሰታ ቢታነ ያቡሰታ ቢታ” ያግድ ጫቅስ።BSBBSB: Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites, and Jebusites.”
