1. 1GOFEጎዳይ ባ ኦድዳይሳዳ ሳሮ አንጅስ፤ ባ ገልዳ ቃላካ ፖልስ።BSBBSB: Now the LORD attended to Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah what He had promised.
2. 2GOFEሳራ ቃንꬃታዳ ፆሳይ ግዳ ዎደይ ጋክን ጭምዳ አብራሃመስ አደ ናአ የላሱ።BSBBSB: So Sarah conceived and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised.
3. 3GOFEአብራሃመይ ሳራ የልዳ ናአ ሱንꬃ ይሳቃ ግድ ሱንꬅስ።BSBBSB: And Abraham gave the name Isaac to the son Sarah bore to him.
4. 4GOFEአብራሃመይ ባ ናአ ይሳቃ ፆሳይ ኪትዳይሳዳ የለትዳ ሆስፑንꬆ ጋላሳን ቃፃርስ።BSBBSB: When his son Isaac was eight days old, Abraham circumcised him, as God had commanded him.
5. 5GOFEእያ ናአ ይሳቅ የለትያ ዎደ፥ አብራሃመስ ላይꬅ ፄታ።BSBBSB: Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.
6. 6GOFEሳራ፥ “ፆሳይ ታዉ ሚቸ እሚስ፤ ቃስ ሀይሳ ስእያ ኡባይ ታራ ሚጫና” ያጋሱ።BSBBSB: Then Sarah said, “God has made me laugh, and everyone who hears of this will laugh with me.”
7. 7GOFEቃስካ ሳራ፥ “ሳራ አብራሃመስ ናአ የላዳ ꬋንꬃና ግዳይ ኦኔ? ግድኮካ ታኒ ሀእ እያዉ እ ጭምዳ ዎደ ናአ የላስ” ያጋሱ።BSBBSB: She added, “Who would have told Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age.”
8. 8GOFEጉꬃ ናአይ ድጭድ፤ ꬋንꬅ ዱꬅስ፤ አብራሃመይ ይሳቅ ꬋንꬅ ዱꬅዳ ጋላስ ዎልቃማ ግብራ ጊግስስ።BSBBSB: So the child grew and was weaned, and Abraham held a great feast on the day Isaac was weaned.
9. 9GOFEሽን ግብፀፈ ይዳ አጋራ አብራሃመስ የልዳ ናአይ ይሳቃ ቶችሽን ሳራ በአሱ።BSBBSB: But Sarah saw that the son whom Hagar the Egyptian had borne to Abraham was mocking her son,
10. 10GOFEሳራ አብራሃመኮ፥ “ሀ አይለ ናአይ ታ ናአ ይሳቃራ ኡባካ ላቶና ግሾ፥ ጋꬍንድዉነ እ ናኣ ከሳዳ ጎዳ” ያጋሱ።BSBBSB: and she said to Abraham, “Expel the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with my son Isaac!”
11. 11GOFEሄ ኦዳይ ባ ናአ ቦችያ ግሾ፥ አብራሃመይ ዳሮ መቶትስ።BSBBSB: Now this matter distressed Abraham greatly because it concerned his son Ishmael.
12. 12GOFEሽን ፆሳይ አብራሃመ፥ “ነ ኮቻይ ይሳቃ ባጋራ ፄገታና ግሾ ነ ናኣስነ ነ አይሌስ ዳሮ መቶቶፓ፤ ሳራ ነዉ ኦድያባ ኡባ ስአ።BSBBSB: But God said to Abraham, “Do not be distressed about the boy and your maidservant. Listen to everything that Sarah tells you, for through Isaac your offspring will be reckoned.
13. 13GOFEቃስ እካ ነ ኮቸ ግድያ ግሾ አይለ ናአ ታኒ ግታ ደረ ኦꬃና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: But I will also make a nation of the slave woman’s son, because he is your offspring.”
14. 14GOFEዎንታ ጉራ አብራሃመይ ደንድድ ጉꬃ ካነ ኮዳን ሃ ኩንꬅድ፥ አጋሮ ቶስድ፥ እ ናአ እዮ እድንꬅድ ከስ ጎድስ። እያ ባዳ፥ በርሳበ መላ ቢታን ዳቡራሱ።BSBBSB: Early in the morning, Abraham got up, took bread and a skin of water, put them on Hagar’s shoulders, and sent her away with the boy. She left and wandered in the Wilderness of Beersheba.
15. 15GOFEሃꬃይ ኮዳፈ ዉርዳ ዎደ እያ፥ “ናአይ ሀይቅሽን፥ ኡታዳ በእከ” ጋዳ፥ ናአ እስ ቡረ ጋርሳን የጋዳ፥ ናምኡ ፄቱ ዋꬋ ግደይሳ መላ ባዳ ኡታ አጋሱ። ያን ኡታዳ፥ ባ ቃላ ꬎቁ ኦꬃዳ ዬካሱ።BSBBSB: When the water in the skin was gone, she left the boy under one of the bushes.
16. 17GOFEፆሳይ ናአ ዋሱዋ ስእስ። ፆሳ ኪታንቾይ አጋሮ ሳሎፐ ፄግድ፥ “አጋረ፥ ዋናዲ? ፆሳይ ናአ ዬሁዋ ስእዳ ግሾ ባቦፋ፤BSBBSB: Then God heard the voice of the boy, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven, “What is wrong, Hagar? Do not be afraid, for God has heard the voice of the boy where he lies.
17. 18GOFEዳንዳ ኤቃዳ፥ ናአ ደንꬃዳ ነ ኩሽያን ኦይካ፤ ታኒ እያ ግታ ደረ ኦꬃና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Get up, lift up the boy, and take him by the hand, for I will make him into a great nation.”
18. 19GOFEፆሳይ እዮ ሃꬃ ኦላ በስን፥ ባዳ ኮዳን ሃ ኩንꬃዳ ናኣ ኡሻሱ።BSBBSB: Then God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink.
19. 20GOFEናአይ ድጭያ ዎደ ኡባን ፆሳይ እያራ ግድስ። እ መላ ቢታን ደእድ፥ ዶንገን ዱክያ አሰ ግድስ።BSBBSB: And God was with the boy, and he grew up and settled in the wilderness and became a great archer.
20. 21GOFEእ ፓራና መላ ቢታን ደእሽን፥ እያ አይያ ግብፀፈ እያዉ ማቾ እማሱ።BSBBSB: And while he was dwelling in the Wilderness of Paran, his mother got a wife for him from the land of Egypt.
21. 22GOFEሄ ዎደ፥ አብመለከይ፥ ባ ቶራ ሞጮና ፍኮላራ አብራሃመኮ ብድ፥ “ኔኒ ኦꬅያባ ኡባን ፆሳይ ኔራ ደኤስ።BSBBSB: At that time Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his army said to Abraham, “God is with you in all that you do.
22. 23GOFEኔኒ ታ ቦላ ዎይኮ ታ ናይታ ቦላ ዎይኮ ታ ዘረꬃ ቦላ ጭማዳ ገነ ኦꬆና መላ፥ ሀእ ሀይሳን፥ ፆሳ ስንꬃን ታዉ ጫቃ። ታኒ ነዉ ኬህዳይሳዳ፥ ኔንካ ታስነ ኔኒ በተተꬃን ደእዳ ሀ ቢቴስ ኬሀ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Now, therefore, swear to me here before God that you will not deal falsely with me or my children or descendants. Show to me and to the country in which you reside the same kindness that I have shown to you.”
23. 24GOFEአብራሃመይ፥ “ታኒ ጫቃይስ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: And Abraham replied, “I swear it.”
24. 25GOFEሄ ዎደ፥ አብራሃመይ፥ አብመለከ አይለት ኤክዳ ሃꬃ ኦላባ አብመለከስ ማጋንስ።BSBBSB: But when Abraham complained to Abimelech about a well that Abimelech’s servants had seized,
25. 26GOFEሽን አብመለከይ፥ “ሄሳ ኦን ኦꬅዳኮ ታኒ ኤርከ። ኔንካ ቃስ ታዉ ኦዳባካ፤ ታኒ ሀች ጋካናዉ ሄሳ ስአብከ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Abimelech replied, “I do not know who has done this. You did not tell me, so I have not heard about it until today.”
26. 27GOFEሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ አብራሃመይ ዶርሳታነ ሚዛታ ኤህድ፥ አብመለከስ እምን፥ ኤንቲ ናምአይ ጫቅዶሶና።BSBBSB: So Abraham brought sheep and cattle and gave them to Abimelech, and the two men made a covenant.
27. 28GOFEአብራሃመይ ላፑን ኡዞ ዶርሳታ ዉድያፐ ሻክስ፤BSBBSB: Abraham separated seven ewe lambs from the flock,
28. 29GOFEአብመለከይ አብራሃመ፥ “ሀ ኔኒ ዱማ ሻካ ዎꬅዳ ላፑን ኡዞ ዶርሳታ አይስ ሻካዲ?” ያግድ ኦይችስ።BSBBSB: and Abimelech asked him, “Why have you set apart these seven ewe lambs?”
29. 30GOFEአብራሃመይ፥ “ታኒ ሀ ሃꬃ ኦላ ቦክዳይሳስ ማርካ ግዳና መላ፥ ሀ ላፑን ኡዞ ዶርሳታ ታፐ ኤካ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: He replied, “You are to accept the seven ewe lambs from my hand as my witness that I dug this well.”
30. 31GOFEሄሳን ሄ ናምኡ አሳት ጫቅዳ ግሾ፥ ሄ በሳይ ባርሳበ (ጫቆ ሃꬃ ኦላ ዎይኮ ላፑን ሃꬃ ኦላ)።BSBBSB: So that place was called Beersheba, because it was there that the two of them swore an oath.
31. 32GOFEበርሳበን ጫቁዋ ጫቅዳፐ ጉየ፥ አብመለከይነ እያ ቶራ ሞጮናይ ፍኮል ደንድድ፥ ፍልስፄመ ቢታ ስምዶሶና።BSBBSB: After they had made the covenant at Beersheba, Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his army got up and returned to the land of the Philistines.
32. 33GOFEአብራሃመይ ባርሳበን ታማርሲክ ጌተትያ ምꬅ ቶክስ። ሄሳን ጎዳ፥ መርና ፆሳ ፄግድ እያዉ ጎይንስ።BSBBSB: And Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba, and there he called upon the name of the LORD, the Eternal God.
33. 34GOFEአብራሃመይ ፍልስፄመ ቢታን ዳሮ ዎደ ደእስ።BSBBSB: And Abraham resided in the land of the Philistines for a long time.
