1. 1GOFEሳራ ፄታነ ላታማነ ላፑን ላይꬅ ደአሱ።BSBBSB: Now Sarah lived to be 127 years old.
2. 2GOFEሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ እያ ካናነ ቢታን ደእያ ቅርያት-አርባ (ከብሮና) ካታማን ሀይቃሱ። አብራሃመይ ሳርስ ዬክስነ ካዮትስ።BSBBSB: She died in Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan, and Abraham went out to mourn and to weep for her.
3. 3GOFEዬክ ስሚድ፥ አብራሃመይ ባ ማቸ አሀ ማታፐ ደንድድ ብድ፥ ህተታ ሀይሳዳ ያግስ፤BSBBSB: Then Abraham got up from beside his dead wife and said to the Hittites,
4. 4GOFE“ታኒ ህንተ ግዶን እማ፤ ታ ማቸ አሀ ሞጋናዉ ታዉ ህንተ ጋድያፐ ዱፎ በሲ ባይዘርከት” ያግስ።BSBBSB: “I am a foreigner and an outsider among you. Give me a burial site among you so that I can bury my dead.”
5. 5GOFEህተት አብራሃመ፥ “ጎዳዉ፥ ኑኒ ኦደይሳ ስአ፤ ኔኒ ኑ ግዶን ዎልቃማ ሀላቃ፤ ኔኒ ነ ማቸ አሀ ኑ ዱፉዋፐ ነና ሎእዳሶን ሞጋ፤ ኔኒ ነ ማቸ አሀ ሞጋናዉ ባ ዱፉዋ ኦንካ ነና ድገና” ያግ ዛርዶሶና።BSBBSB: The Hittites replied to Abraham,
6. 7GOFEአብራሃመይ ደንድ ኤቅድ፥ ህተታ ስንꬃን ዝግስ።BSBBSB: Then Abraham rose and bowed down before the people of the land, the Hittites.
7. 8GOFEእ ኤንታኮ፥ “ህንተ ታና፥ ‘ነ ማቸ አሀ ሞጋ’ ጊኮ፥ ታኒ ግያባ ስእተ። ዞሃራ ናአ ኤፍሮናስ እያ ጋድያ ጋፃን ደእያ ማክፌላ ጌተትያ ጎንጎሉዋ ታ ዱፎ ኦꬃናዉ ባይዛና መላ ኩመꬃ ጋተን ኑና ዛልእሰርከት” ያግስ።BSBBSB: “If you are willing for me to bury my dead,” he said to them, “listen to me, and approach Ephron son of Zohar on my behalf
8. 10GOFEህተ አድያ ኤፍሮን ሄ ዎደ ካታማ ፐንገን ሺቅዳ ባ አሳ ግዶን ኡትስ። ህተት ኡባይ ስእሽን፥ አብራሃመኮ ያግስ፤BSBBSB: Now Ephron was sitting among the sons of Heth. So in the presence of all the Hittites who had come to the gate of his city, Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham,
9. 11GOFE“ሄሳዳ ግደና፤ ታ ጎዳዉ፥ ታ ኦደይሳ ስአ፤ ታኒ ጋድያካ እያ ግዶን ደእያ ጎንጎሉዋካ ነዉ እማይስ፤ ታኒ ነዉ እያ ታ አሳ ስንꬃን እማይስ፤ ኔኒ ነ ማቸ አሀ ሞጋ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: “No, my lord. Listen to me. I give you the field, and I give you the cave that is in it. I give it to you in the presence of my people. Bury your dead.”
10. 12GOFEአብራሃመይ ሄ ቢታ አሳ ስንꬃን ዛር ዝግድ፥BSBBSB: Again Abraham bowed down before the people of the land
11. 13GOFEአሳይ ስእሽን ኤፍሮና፥ “ታ ኦደይሳ ስአርክ! ታኒ ሄ ጋድያ ጋተ ቃንፃና፤ ኔኒ ታፐ ኤካርክ። ሄሳን ታኒ ታ ማቸ አሀ ሞጋና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: and said to Ephron in their presence, “If you will please listen to me, I will pay you the price of the field. Accept it from me, so that I may bury my dead there.”
12. 14GOFEኤፍሮን አብራሃመኮ ዛሪድ፥ “ታ ጎዳዉ፥ ታኒ ኦደይሳ ስአ፤ ጋደይ ኦይዱ ፄቱ ብራ ሳንትመ ከሳና፤ ሽን ሄስ ነ ግዶንነ ታ ግዶን አይብካ ግደና፤ ነ ማቸ አሀ ሞጋ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Ephron answered Abraham,
13. 16GOFEአብራሃመይ ህተት ስእሽን፥ ኤፍሮን ግዳ ጋትያ ኤክስ፤ ሄ ዎደ ሚሸን ኦይዱ ፄቱ ብራ ሳንትመ ኤፍሮናስ እሚስ።BSBBSB: Abraham agreed to Ephron’s terms and weighed out for him the price he had named in the hearing of the Hittites: four hundred shekels of silver, according to the standard of the merchants.
14. 17GOFEያት ስሚድ፥ ማምረ ካታማ ማታን ማክፌላን ደእያ ኤፍሮና ጋደይ፥ ያን ደእያ ጎንጎሎይነ ሄ ጋድያን ደእያ ምꬃ ኡባይ፥BSBBSB: So Ephron’s field at Machpelah near Mamre, the cave that was in it, and all the trees within the boundaries of the field were deeded over
15. 18GOFEካታማ ፐንገን ሺቅዳ ህተታ ኡባ ስንꬃን ዎጋꬆ አብራሃመ ጋደ ግድስ።BSBBSB: to Abraham’s possession in the presence of all the Hittites who had come to the gate of his city.
16. 19GOFEሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ አብራሃመይ ባ ማችዉ ሳራ ካናነ ቢታን (ከብሮና) ጌተትያ ማምረ ካታማ ማታን ደእያ ማክፌላ ጌተትያ ጋደ ጎንጎሉዋን ሞግስ።BSBBSB: After this, Abraham buried his wife Sarah in the cave of the field at Machpelah near Mamre (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan.
17. 20GOFEሄሳ ግሾ፥ ሄ ጋደይነ ያን ደእያ ጎንጎሎይ ህተታ ስንꬃን ህግያን አብራሃመስ ዱፎ ግድስ።BSBBSB: So the field and its cave were deeded by the Hittites to Abraham as a burial site.
