1. 1GOFEሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ ያይቆብ ባ አደ ናይታ ፄግድ፥ “ስንꬃፈ ሀናናባ ታኒ ህንተዉ ኦዳና መላ ሀ ሺቅተ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Then Jacob called for his sons and said, “Gather around so that I can tell you what will happen to you in the days to come:
2. 2GOFE“ህንተኖ ያይቆባ ናይቶ፥ እስፈ ሺቅድ ስእተ፤ ህንተ አዋይ እስራኤለይ ኦደይሳ ሀይዝተ።BSBBSB: Come together and listen, O sons of Jacob; listen to your father Israel.
3. 3GOFE“ሮቤላ፥ ታ ባይራ ናአዉ፥ ኔኒ ታ ዎልቃ፤ ታ ምኖተꬃስ ኮይሩዋ፤ ኔኒ ቦንቾንካ ዎልቃንካ ኡባፈ አꬋሳ።BSBBSB: Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, excelling in honor, excelling in power.
4. 4GOFEኔኒ ሃꬃ መላ፥ ኤቅዳሶን ደአካ፤ ነ እሻታ ቦላ ባይራተꬅ ነዉ በሰና። ኔኒ ነ አዋ ሂፃን ከያዳሳ፤ ነ አዋ አርሳ ቱንሳዳሳ።BSBBSB: Uncontrolled as the waters, you will no longer excel, because you went up to your father’s bed, onto my couch, and defiled it.
5. 5GOFE“ስሞንነ ሌወይ እሻታ፤ ኤንቲ ባንታ ማሻ ማካላተꬃስ ደንꬆሶና።BSBBSB: Simeon and Levi are brothers; their swords are weapons of violence.
6. 6GOFEኤንቲ ባንታ ሀንቁዋን አደ ዎꬍዶሶና፥ ባንታ አሙዋ ኩንꬃናዉ ቦራታ ጋድያ ቃንፅዶሶና። ያንያ ግሾ፥ ታኒ ኤንታ ዞረታን ገልከ፤ ኤንታ ሺቁዋንካ ኡትከ።BSBBSB: May I never enter their council; may I never join their assembly. For they kill men in their anger, and hamstring oxen on a whim.
7. 7GOFEኤንታ ዎልቃማ ሀንቆይ ኤንታ ዎዛና ኢታተꬃይ ባደትዳባ ግዶ። ታኒ፥ ኤንታ ያይቆባ አሳ ግዶን ላላና። እስራኤለ ቢታን ꬋርጫና።BSBBSB: Cursed be their anger, for it is strong, and their wrath, for it is cruel! I will disperse them in Jacob and scatter them in Israel.
8. 8GOFE“ይሁዳ፥ ነ እሻት ነና ጋላታና፤ ነ ኩሸይ ነ ሞርከታ ቆ ኦይካና፤ ነ አዋ ናይት ነዉ ሆክድ ዝጋና።BSBBSB: Judah, your brothers shall praise you. Your hand shall be on the necks of your enemies; your father’s sons shall bow down to you.
9. 9GOFEይሁዳ፥ ኔኒ ዎዳላ ጋሞ፤ ታ ናአዉ፥ ኔኒ ሻንካፈ ዎꬍ ስሚድ፥ ጮጎትድ ዝንእዳ ጋሞ መላ። ነና ቦቻናዉ ዳንዳኤይ ባዋ።BSBBSB: Judah is a young lion—my son, you return from the prey. Like a lion he crouches and lies down; like a lioness, who dares to rouse him?
10. 10GOFEመርናዉ ሃረይስ ያና ጋካናዉ ካዎተꬃ ፃምአይ፥ ይሁዳ ኩሸፐ ከየና፤ ካዎተꬃት እያዉ ኪተታና።BSBBSB: The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the staff from between his feet, until Shiloh comes and the allegiance of the nations is his.
11. 11GOFEእ ባ ሀርያ ዎይነ ቦላ፥ ባ ሀረ ማራ ዶረትዳ ዎይነ ቦላ ቃቻና፤ እ ባ ማኡዋ ሱꬅ ዳንያ ዎይነ ኡሻን ሜጫና።BSBBSB: He ties his donkey to the vine, his colt to the choicest branch. He washes his garments in wine, his robes in the blood of grapes.
12. 12GOFEእያ አይፈይ ዎይነ ኡሻፈ አꬍድ ዱልካና፤ እያ አቻይ ፃማታፐ አꬍድ ቦፃና።BSBBSB: His eyes are darker than wine, and his teeth are whiter than milk.
13. 13GOFE“ዛብሎን አባ ዶናን ዳና፤ እ አባ ዶናን ማርካበት ኤቅያ በሲ ግዳና፤ እያ ዛዋይ ስዶና ጋካና።BSBBSB: Zebulun shall dwell by the seashore and become a harbor for ships; his border shall extend to Sidon.
14. 14GOFE“ይሳኮር ምኖ ሀረ መላ፥ ጫናታ ግዶን ዝንኤስ።BSBBSB: Issachar is a strong donkey, lying down between the sheepfolds.
15. 15GOFEሽን እ ባ ሸምፕያ በሳይ ሎኦ ግደይሳነ ባ ቢታይ ኡፋይሰይሳ ግደይሳ በእያ ዎደ፥ ጫና ቶካናዉ ባ ሀሽያ ዝቅ ኦꬅድ፥ አይለተꬃ ኦሶ ኦꬃና።BSBBSB: He saw that his resting place was good and that his land was pleasant, so he bent his shoulder to the burden and submitted to labor as a servant.
16. 16GOFE“ዳነይ እስራኤለ ዘረꬃፈ እሱዋ ግድያ ባ አሳ ቦላ ፕርዳና።BSBBSB: Dan shall provide justice for his people as one of the tribes of Israel.
17. 17GOFEዳነይ ኦገ ጋፃን ደእያ ሾሻ መላ፥ ፓራ ሹቁልያ ዱክድ፥ ፓራ ቶግዳይሳ ጉየ የግያ ጎፐ መላ።BSBBSB: He will be a snake by the road, a viper in the path that bites the horse’s heels so that its rider tumbles backward.
18. 18GOFE“አቤት ጎዳዉ፥ ታኒ ነ አሹዋ ናጋይስ።BSBBSB: I await Your salvation, O LORD.
19. 19GOFE“ጋደ፥ ቦንቀይሳት ቆሀና፤ ሽን እ ኤንታ ጌዶ ካልድ ኦይካና።BSBBSB: Gad will be attacked by raiders, but he will attack their heels.
20. 20GOFE“አሴራ ቢታይ ኦርደ፤ እ ካዎታስ ሎኦ ካꬅ እማና።BSBBSB: Asher’s food will be rich; he shall provide royal delicacies.
21. 21GOFE“ንፍታለመይ ቃሸቶና የዳ ደእያ፥ ሎኦ ማራታ የልያ ገንኤ መላ።BSBBSB: Naphtali is a doe set free that bears beautiful fawns.
22. 22GOFE“ዮሰፍ ሃꬃ ማታን ቶከትድ፥ ደረ ቦላ ዛእዳ፥ አይፈይ ኩምዳ ዎይነ መላ።BSBBSB: Joseph is a fruitful vine—a fruitful vine by a spring, whose branches scale the wall.
23. 23GOFEዶንገን ዱከይሳት እያ ቦላ ደንዳና፤ ባንታ ዶንግያን ዱክሸ እያ ጎዳና።BSBBSB: The archers attacked him with bitterness; they aimed at him in hostility.
24. 24GOFEሽን ያይቆባ ፆሳ ዎልቃን፥ እስራኤለ ሄንꬃንቹዋ ናጉዋን፥ እያ ዶንገይ ምኖ፥ እያ ቀሰይ ፃላ ግዳና።BSBBSB: Yet he steadied his bow, and his strong arms were tempered by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, in the name of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,
25. 25GOFEነ አዋ ፆሳይ ነና ማዳና። ኡባ ዳንዳእያ ፆሳይ፥ ቦላ ሳሎ አንጁዋን፥ ጋርሳ ጪሙዋ አንጁዋን፥ መሄንካ የሎንካ ነና አንጃና።BSBBSB: by the God of your father who helps you, and by the Almighty who blesses you, with blessings of the heavens above, with blessings of the depths below, with blessings of the breasts and womb.
26. 26GOFEነ አዋ አንጆይ በንፐ ምንድ ደእያ ዙማታ አንጁዋፈካ፥ መርናዉ ደእያ ደረታፐ በንትያ ኡፋይስያ አንጁዋፈካ አꬌስ። ሀይስ ኡባይ ዮሰፋ ሁጰን፥ ባ እሻታ ግዶን ካፖ ግደይሳ ሊጰን ሸምፖ።BSBBSB: The blessings of your father have surpassed the blessings of the ancient mountains and the bounty of the everlasting hills. May they rest on the head of Joseph, on the brow of the prince of his brothers.
27. 27GOFE“ብንያመይ ቦንቅያ ሱꬉመ፤ ባ ኦልዳባ ዎንታ ሜስ፤ ባ ድእዳባ ኦማርስ ሻኬስ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Benjamin is a ravenous wolf; in the morning he devours the prey, in the evening he divides the plunder.”
28. 28GOFEሀይሳቲ ታማነ ናምኡ እስራኤለ ሼሻታ። ኤንታ አዋይ ኤንታ ሁጰን ሁጰን ኤንታዉ በሲያ አንጁዋ አንጅሸ ኤንታኮ ግዳባይ ሀይሳ።BSBBSB: These are the tribes of Israel, twelve in all, and this was what their father said to them. He blessed them, and he blessed each one with a suitable blessing.
29. 29GOFEሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ እ ኤንታ ሀይሳዳ ያግድ ኪትስ፤ “ታኒ ታ ማይዛታን ጋሄታና ሀናይስ። ታና ህተ አድያ ኤፍሮና ጋደን ደእያ ጎንጎሉዋን ታ አዋታ ማታን ሞግተ።BSBBSB: Then Jacob instructed them, “I am about to be gathered to my people. Bury me with my fathers in the cave in the field of Ephron the Hittite.
30. 30GOFEሄስካ፥ ካናነ ቢታን፥ ማምረ ማታን ደእያ፥ ማክፌላን ደእያ ጎንጎሉዋ። ሄ ጎንጎሎይ አብራሃመይ ሞጎስ ህተ አድያ ኤፍሮናፐ እያ ጋድያራ ሻምዳ ዱፉዋ።BSBBSB: The cave is in the field of Machpelah near Mamre, in the land of Canaan. This is the field Abraham purchased from Ephron the Hittite as a burial site.
31. 31GOFEአብራሃመይነ እያ ማችያ ሳራ፥ ይሳቅነ እያ ማችያ እርብቃ ያን ሞገትዶሶና። ታኒ ቃስ ልያካ ያን ሞጋስ።BSBBSB: There Abraham and his wife Sarah are buried, there Isaac and his wife Rebekah are buried, and there I buried Leah.
