1. 1GOFEኤፍሬማ አሳይ ዎንታፈ ኦማርስ ጋካናዉ ዶሎሀ ጫርኮ ኦይኬስ ዎይኮ የደꬄስ። ኤንቲ ዎርዶነ ጌላተꬅ ዳርሶሶና፤ አሶረ ቢታራ ጫቅዶሶና፤ ሻማሆ ዛይተ ግብፀ ቢታ የዶሶና።BSBBSB: Ephraim feeds on the wind and pursues the east wind all day long; he multiplies lies and violence; he makes a covenant with Assyria and sends olive oil to Egypt.
2. 2GOFEጎዳስ ይሁዳ አሳራ ሞቶይ ደኤስ፤ እ ያይቆባ ናይታ ኤንታ ኦግያዳ ሴራና፤ ኤንታ ኦሱዋዳ ኤንታዉ ዛራና።BSBBSB: The LORD has a charge to bring against Judah. He will punish Jacob according to his ways and repay him according to his deeds.
3. 3GOFEያይቆብ ባ አየ ኡሎን ደእሸ ባ እሻ ግንድያ ኦይክስ። ድጭ ጋክድ ፆሳራ ቡተትስ፤BSBBSB: In the womb he grasped his brother’s heel, and in his vigor he wrestled with God.
4. 4GOFEኪታንቾራ ባፀትድ ፆንስ። ባና ኬሀ አይፈን ፄላና መላ ባ እሻ ዬክድ ዎስስ። ያይቆብ ፆሳ ቤተለን ደምን ፆሳይ ያን እያራ ሃሳይስ።BSBBSB: Yes, he struggled with the angel and prevailed; he wept and sought His favor; he found Him at Bethel and spoke with Him there—
5. 5GOFEእ ጎዳ፥ ኡባፈ ዎልቃማ ፆሳ። እያ ኤረትዳ ሱንꬃይ ጎዳ ጌተቴስ።BSBBSB: the LORD God of Hosts, the LORD is His name of renown.
6. 6GOFEሄሳ ግሾ፥ ህንተ ፆሳኮ ስምተ፤ ሲቆነ ሱረ ፕርዳ ምንꬅ ኦይክተ፤ ህንተ ፆሳይ ኦꬃና ጋካናዉ ናግተ።BSBBSB: But you must return to your God; maintain love and justice, and always wait on your God.
7. 7GOFEዛልአንቾይ ዎርዶ ምዛነን ዛልኤስ፤ እ አሳ ጭማናዉ ዶሴስ።BSBBSB: A merchant loves to defraud with dishonest scales in his hands.
8. 8GOFEኤፍሬም፥ “ታኒ ዳሮ ዱረ፤ ታኒ ታዉ አቆ ደማስ። ታ አቆ ኡባን ታናን ኤንቲ ባላ ዎይኮ ናጋራ ደሞኮና።BSBBSB: And Ephraim boasts: “How rich I have become! I have found wealth for myself. In all my labors, they can find in me no iniquity that is sinful.”
9. 9GOFEሽን ታኒ ህንተና ግብፀ ቢታፈ ከሳዳ ኤህዳ ጎዳ፥ ህንተ ፆሳ፤ ሻቃራ ባኣለ ጋላስ ህንተ ዱንካነን ደእዳይሳዳ ታ ህንተና ዛራ ዱንካነን ዎꬃና።BSBBSB: But I am the LORD your God ever since the land of Egypt. I will again make you dwell in tents, as in the days of the appointed feast.
10. 10GOFEታኒ ናበታስ ኦዳስ፤ ዳሮ ቆንጨꬅ ኤንታዉ እማስ፤ ኤንታ ባጋራ ዳሮ ሌምሶታ ኦዳስ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: I spoke through the prophets and multiplied their visions; I gave parables through the prophets.
11. 11GOFEጋላድ ኢታ ናጋራንቾ፤ ጋላዳ አሳት ፓꬆናይሳታ። ኤንቲ ጋልጋላን ኮርማታ ያርሻና። ኤንታ ያርሾ በሳይ ጎሻን ደእያ ኬላ ሹቻዳ ላለታና።BSBBSB: Is there iniquity in Gilead? They will surely come to nothing. Do they sacrifice bulls in Gilgal? Indeed, their altars will be heaps of stones in the furrows of the field.
12. 12GOFEያይቆብ ሶረ ቢታ ባቃትስ፤ እስራኤለይ ማቾ ኤካናዉ ኡነ ኦꬅስ። ኮይታ እማናዉ ያን ዶርሰ ሄምስ።BSBBSB: Jacob fled to the land of Aram and Israel worked for a wife—for a wife he tended sheep.
13. 13GOFEጎዳይ እስራኤለ አሳ ናበታ ባጋራ ግብፀ ቢታፈ ከስድ ሄ ናበታ ባጋራ ኤንታ ናግስ።BSBBSB: But by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet he was preserved.
14. 14GOFEሽን ኤፍሬም ጎዳ ዳሮ ሀንቀꬅስ፤ እ ሱꬅ ጉስዳ ግሾ እያ ጎዳይ አቻና፤ እያ ጫሻ እያዉ ዛራና።BSBBSB: Ephraim has provoked bitter anger, so his Lord will leave his bloodguilt upon him and repay him for his contempt.
