1. 1GOFEሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ ጎዳይ ሀራ ላፑን ታማነ ናምኡ አሳታ ዶርስ። እ ባናዉ ቆፕዳ ካታማነ ጉታ ኡባ ስንꬃትድ ባና መላ ናምአ ናምአ ኦꬅድ ኪትስ።BSBBSB: After this, the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of Him to every town and place He was about to visit.
2. 2GOFEየሱሲ ኤንታኮ፥ “ሄኮ፥ ሺቃና ካꬃይ ዳሮ ሽን ኦሳንቾት ጉꬃ። ያንያ ግሾ፥ ካꬃ ጎዳይ ኦሳንቾታ ኪታና መላ ዎስተ።BSBBSB: And He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest.
3. 3GOFEህዛ፥ ቢተ፥ ታኒ ህንተና ዶርሳታዳ ሱꬉመታ ግዶ የዳና።BSBBSB: Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.
4. 4GOFEህንተ ብያ ኦግያስ አይኮካ ኦይኮፍተ፥ ሚሸ ግድን ካꬅ ግድን ጫማ ኦይኮፍተ። ኦገ ቦላ ኦናካ ሳሮꬆፍተ።BSBBSB: Carry no purse or bag or sandals. Do not greet anyone along the road.
5. 5GOFEህንተ ገልያ ኬ ኡባ ኮይሮትድ፥ ‘ሳሮይ ሀ ኬꬃስ ግዶ’ ያግተ።BSBBSB: Whatever house you enter, begin by saying, ‘Peace to this house.’
6. 6GOFEሳሮ ዶስያ አስ ሄ በሳን ደእኮ፥ ህንተ ሳሮይ ያን ሸምፓና፤ እፃስ ጊኮ ህንተ ሳሮይ ህንተዉ ስማና።BSBBSB: If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you.
7. 7GOFEኦሳንቾስ ዳሞዘ በሲያ ግሾ፥ ህንተ ገልዳ ኬꬃን ህንተዉ ሺሽዳባ ኡባ ምሸነ ኡይሸ ያን ጋምእተ። እሱዋ ሶፐ እሱዋ ሶ ዩዮፕተ።BSBBSB: Stay at the same house, eating and drinking whatever you are offered. For the worker is worthy of his wages. Do not move around from house to house.
8. 8GOFEአይ ካታማካ ህንተ ገልያ ዎደ አሳይ ህንተና ሞክድ፥ ህንተዉ ሺሽዳባ ኡባ ሚተ።BSBBSB: If you enter a town and they welcome you, eat whatever is set before you.
9. 9GOFEሄ ካታማን ደእያ ሀርጋንቾታ ፓꬅሸ፥ ‘ፆሳ ካዎተꬃይ ህንተኮ ማትስ’ ያግድ ኦድተ።BSBBSB: Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God is near you.’
10. 10GOFEሽን እስ ካታማ ገልያ ዎደ አሳይ ህንተና ሞኮና እፅኮ ዳባባ ከይድ ሀይሳዳ ጊተ:BSBBSB: But if you enter a town and they do not welcome you, go into the streets and declare,
11. 11GOFE‘ኑ ቶሁዋ ቦላ ደእያ ህንተ ካታማ ባና ፕቶስ፥ ሽን ፆሳ ካዎተꬅ ህንተኮ ማታትዳይሳ ኤርተ።’BSBBSB: ‘Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet, we wipe off as a testimony against you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God is near.’
12. 12GOFEፕርዳ ጋላሳን፥ ሀ ካታማፐ ሶዶመ ካታማስ ፕርድ ካዉሸ ግዳናይሳ ታ ህንተዉ ኦዳይስ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town.
13. 13GOFEካልድካ፥ የሱሲ፥ “ነኖ ኮራዝነ፥ ነኖ ቤተሳይዳ፥ አየ! ህንተናን ኦሰትዳ ማላታት ፅሮሳንነ ስዶናን ኦሰትዳኮ ያን ደእያ አሳይ ካዮ ማኦ ማእድ፥ ብድንꬃ ቦላ ኡትድ፥ በን ማሮታን ገል አጋናሽን።BSBBSB: Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
14. 14GOFEሄሳ ግሾ፥ ህንተፈ አꬅድ ፅሮሳስነ ስዶናስ ፆሳ ፕርድ ካዉያና።BSBBSB: But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you.
15. 15GOFEነካ ቅፍርናሆማ፥ ሳሎ ጋካናዉ ነና ꬎቁ ኦꬃናዉ ኮያይ? ነ ዱገ ስኦለ ሆለታና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to heaven? No, you will be brought down to Hades!
16. 16GOFEቃስካ የሱሲ ባ ታማረታኮ፥ “ህንተና ስኤይ ታና ስኤስ፥ ህንተና ኤኮናይ ታና ኤከና፥ ታና ኤኮናይ ታና ኪትዳይሳ ኤከና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Whoever listens to you listens to Me; whoever rejects you rejects Me; and whoever rejects Me rejects the One who sent Me.”
17. 17GOFEላፑን ታማነ ናምኡ ታማረት ኪተትዳ በሳፈ ዳሮ ኡፋይትሸ ስምዶሶና። የሱሳኮ ሺቅድ፥ “ጎዳዉ፥ ነ ሱንꬃን ቱና አያናትካ ኑስ ኪተትዶሶና” ያግዶሶና።BSBBSB: The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in Your name.”
18. 18GOFEየሱሲ ኤንታኮ፥ “ፃላሄይ ሳሎፐ ዎልአንꬃዳ ዎꬍሽን ታ በአስ።BSBBSB: So He told them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
19. 19GOFEሄኮ፥ ሾሽነ ኮርነ የꬋና መላነ ሞርክያ ዎልቃ ዛራና መላ ማታ ህንተዉ እማስ። ህንተና ቆሀናባይ አይኮይካ ዴና።BSBBSB: Behold, I have given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will harm you.
20. 20GOFEግዶሽን፥ ህንተ ሱንꬃይ ሳሎ ማዝጋበን ፃፈትዳ ግሾ፥ ኡፋይትተፐ አትሽን፥ ቱና አያናት ኪተትዳ ግሾ ኡፋይቶፍተ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Nevertheless, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
21. 21GOFEሄ ዎደ፥ የሱሲ ጌሻ አያናን ኡፋይትድ፥ “ሳሉዋ ሳኣ ጎዳዉ፥ ሀይሳ ጭንጫታፐነ ኤራንቾታፐ ገንꬃዳ ያላጋታስ ቆንጭስዳ ግሾ ጋላተታ። ኤ፥ ታ አዋዉ፥ ሄሳ ነ ኦꬃናዉ ሎኦ ሸነ ግድስ።BSBBSB: At that time Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and declared, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was well-pleasing in Your sight.
22. 22GOFE“ኡባባይ ታ አዋፐ ታዉ እመትስ። ናአይ ኦነኮ አዋፐ አትሽን፥ ሀር ዎይኮ ናአይ ቆንጭሳናዉ ኮየይሳፈ ሀር ኦንካ አዋ ኤረይ ባዋ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.”
23. 23GOFEካልድካ፥ የሱሲ ባ ታማረታስ ዱማ፥ “ህንተ በኤይሳ በኤይሳት አንጀትዳይሳታ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus turned to the disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.
24. 24GOFEቱማ ዳሮ ናበትነ ካዎት ህንተ በኤይሳነ ስኤይሳ በአናዉነ ስአናዉ አሞትዶሶና፥ ሽን በእቦኮና፥ ስእቦኮና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: For I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”
25. 25GOFEሄኮ፥ እስ ጋላስ ሙሰ ዎጋ ኤርያ እስ ኡራይ ደንድድ የሱሳ ያግድ ፓጨ ኦይሾ ኦይችስ። “አስታማርያዉ፥ መርና ደኦ ላታናዉ ታኒ አይ ኦꬆ?” ያግስ።BSBBSB: One day an expert in the law stood up to test Him. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
26. 26GOFEየሱሲ፥ “ሙሰ ማፃፋን ፃፈትዳይስ ዎይጊ? ነ ዋታ ናባባይ?” ያግስ።BSBBSB: “What is written in the Law?” Jesus replied. “How do you read it?”
27. 27GOFEአደይ ዛሪድ፥ “ ‘ነ ጎዳ ነ ፆሳ፥ ነ ኩመꬃ ዎዛናፐ፥ ነ ኩመꬃ ሸምፖፈ፥ ነ ኩመꬃ ዎልቃፈነ ነ ኩመꬃ ቆፋፐ ዶሳ። ቃስ ነ ሾሩዋ ነ ሁጰዳ ዶሳ’ ያጌስ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’ and ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
28. 28GOFEየሱሲ እያኮ፥ “ኔኒ ልከ ዛራዳሳ፥ ነካ ሄሳዳ ኦꬃ። ኔኒ መርናዉ ደኦን ዳና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: “You have answered correctly,” Jesus said. “Do this and you will live.”
29. 29GOFEሽን ኡራይ ባና ፅሎ ኦꬃናዉ ኮይድ፥ “እ ታ ሾሮይ ኦኔ?” ያግስ።BSBBSB: But wanting to justify himself, he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
30. 30GOFEእያ ኦይሻስ የሱሲ ያግድ ዛሮ እሚስ፤ “እስ አሰ ደኤይስ የሩሳላመ ካታማፐ ዱገ እያርኮ ካታማ ብሽን፥ ኦገ ቦላ ፓንጋት ከይድ ሾጭዶሶና። እያ ማኡዋ ቃር ኤክድ ሀይቆፐነ ፓፃፐ ግዶን የግድ ብዶሶና።BSBBSB: Jesus took up this question and said, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho when he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him, beat him, and went away, leaving him half dead.
31. 31GOFEጉየፐ፥ አይሁደ ካህነ እሶይ ሄ ኦግያራ ባ ቡሱ ብሸ ኡራ በእድ ደሽ ግድ አꬍስ።BSBBSB: Now by chance a priest was going down the same road, but when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
32. 32GOFEቃስ እስ ሌወ ደኤይስ ሄ በሳ ጋክሸ ኡራ በእድ፥ ሀራ ሶራ አꬍድ ብስ።BSBBSB: So too, when a Levite came to that spot and saw him, he passed by on the other side.
33. 33GOFEሽን፥ እስ ሳማረ ቢታ አሰ ደኤይስ ሄ ኦግያራ ይሸ ኡራ በእድ እያዉ ቃትስBSBBSB: But a Samaritan on a journey came upon him, and when he saw him, he had compassion.
34. 34GOFEእያኮ ሺቅድ፥ እያ ማዱንꬃ ቦላ ዛይተነ ዎይነ ትግድ ቃችስ። ባ ሀርያ ቦላ ኡትስድ እማꬅ አቅያ ኬ ኤፍስ። ሄ በሳን እያዉ ኮሽያባ ኡባ ኦꬅስ።BSBBSB: He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
35. 35GOFEዎንተ ናምኡ ድናረ ከስድ እማꬃ ኬꬃ አዋስ እምድ፥ ‘ሀያና ሀ ኡራ ሎይꬃ ፄላ። ታኒ ነዉ እምዳይሳፈ ቦላራ ነ ከስያባ ኡባ ታ ነዉ ጭጋና’ ያግስ።BSBBSB: The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Take care of him,’ he said, ‘and on my return I will repay you for any additional expense.’
36. 36GOFE“ህዛ፥ ሀ ሄꬑ አሳታፐ ፓንጋት ሾጭዳ ኡራስ ሾሮተይ ነዉ ኦና ዳኒ?”BSBBSB: Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”
37. 37GOFEኡራይ ዛሪድ፥ “እያዉ ቃትዳይሳካ” ያግስ። የሱሲ፥ “ነካ ባዳ ሄሳዳ ኦꬃ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: “The one who showed him mercy,” replied the expert in the law. Then Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”
38. 38GOFEየሱሲ ባ ታማረታራ ኦገ ብሸ እስ ጉታ ጋክስ። ያን ማርታ ጌተትያ እስ ማጫስያ፥ እያ ባ ሶን ሞካሱ።BSBBSB: As they traveled along, Jesus entered a village where a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home.
39. 39GOFEእዉካ ማይራሞ ጌተትያ ምችያ ደአዉሱ፥ ማይራማ ቃላ ስአሸ ጎዳ ቶሁዋ ማታን ኡታሱ።BSBBSB: She had a sister named Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to His message.
40. 40GOFEሽን ማርታ ዳሮ ኦሶን ኡንኤታዳ የሱሳኮ ሺቃዳ፥ “ጎዳዉ፥ ታ ምችያ ኦሱዋ ታ ፃላላስ የጋዳ ኡታ አግን ታ ዳቡርያ ዎደ ኔኒ በአሸ ስእ ጋይ? እያ ታና ማዳና መላ ኦድኪ” ያጋሱ።BSBBSB: But Martha was distracted by all the preparations to be made. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her to help me!”
41. 41GOFEሽን ጎዳይ ዛሪድ፥ “ማርታ፥ ማርታ፥ ኔኒ ዳሮባን ኡንኤታሳነ መቶታሳ።BSBBSB: “Martha, Martha,” the Lord replied, “you are worried and upset about many things.
42. 42GOFEግዶሽን፥ ኮየተይ እስባ ፃላላ። ማይራማ ሎኦባ ዶራሱ፥ ሄስካ ኢፐ ኤከተና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: But only one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, and it will not be taken away from her.”
