1ሄ ዎደ ዳሮ ሙኩሉን ታይበትያ አሳይ ዎል ቦላ የታና ጋካናዉ አስ አሳ ቦላ ሺቅድ ደእሽን፥ የሱሲ ባ ታማረታኮ፥ “ፋርሳወታ እርሾፈ ናገትተ። ሄስካ ኤንታ ጩቦተꬃ።In the meantime, a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling one another. Jesus began to speak first to His disciples: “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

2ቆንጮና ቆሰትድ፥ ኤረቶና ጌምድ አትያባይ አይኮይካ ባዋ።There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, and nothing hidden that will not be made known.

3ህዛ፥ ህንተ ꬉማን ኦደትዳባይ ኡባይ ፖኦን ስኤታና፥ ቆልአ ጋꬃን ካልካሽዳባይ ዳባባን ኦደታና።What you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the housetops.

4“ታ ባጋቶ፥ ታ ኦደይሳ ስእተ፤ አሹዋ ዎꬎኦሶናፐ አትሽን፥ ሀራ አይኮካ ኦꬃናዉ ዳንዳኦናይሳታስ ባቦፍተ።I tell you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.

5ሀኖሽን፥ ህንተ ባባናዉ በሰይሳ ታ ህንተዉ ቆንጭሳና። ሄስካ ዎꬍዳፐ ጉየ ጋናመን የጋናዉ ዎልቃይ ደኤይሳስ እያዉ ባብተ። ኤ፥ ቱማ ኦዳይስ፤ እያዉ ባብተ።But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear the One who, after you have been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear Him!

6እቻሹ ቡበት እስ ሳንትመስ ባይዘቶኮናዬ? ሀኖሽን፥ ኤንታፈ እስናካ ፆሳ ስንꬃን ዶገቱኩ።Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God.

7ሀር አቶሽን፥ ህንተ ሁጰ ብናናይካ ፓይደትድ ደኤስ። ህዛ፥ ባቦፍተ፤ ዳሮ ቡበታፐ ህንተ አታ።And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

8“ታ ኦደይሳ ስእተ፤ አሳ ስንꬃን ታዉ ማርካትያ ኡባስ አሳ ናእ ፆሳ ኪታንቾታ ስንꬃን ማርካታና።I tell you, everyone who confesses Me before men, the Son of Man will also confess him before the angels of God.

9አሳ ስንꬃን ታና ካደይሳስ ፆሳ ኪታንቾታ ስንꬃን ታ እያ ካዳና።But whoever denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.

10አሳ ናአ ቦላ ካ ቃላ ሃሳያ ኡባይ ማሮታ ደማና፥ ሽን ጌሻ አያና ቦላ ካ ቃላ ኦደተይስ ማረተና።And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

11“አስ ህንተና ኦይክድ አይሁደ ዎሳ ኬꬃን፥ ዳይናታ ስንꬃንነ ካዎታ ስንꬃን ጎሸችያ ዎደ አይ ኦዳነኮነ ዎይግ ዛራነኮ ህርጎፍተ።When you are brought before synagogues, rulers, and authorities, do not worry about how to defend yourselves or what to say.

12ሄ ዎደ ህንተ ኦዳናባ ጌሻ አያን ህንተና ታማርሳና” ያግስ።For at that time the Holy Spirit will teach you what you should say.”

13አሳ ግዶፈ እስ አስ የሱሳኮ ይድ፥ “ታ እሻይ ታዉ ኑ አዋ ላታፐ ሻካና መላ እያዉ ኦዳ” ያግስ።Someone in the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.”

14የሱሲ ዛሪድ፥ “ላ አድያዉ፥ ህንተ ቦላ ታና ዳይናነ ላታ ሻክያ ጭማ ኦꬅዳይ ኦኔ?” ያግስ።But Jesus replied, “Man, who appointed Me judge or executor between you?”

15ጉጅድካ፥ የሱሲ፥ “አሳ ደኦይ ሻሎ ዳሮተꬃን ግዶና ግሾ ያረ አግድ ምንꬅድ ህንተና ናግተ” ያግስ።And He said to them, “Watch out! Guard yourselves against every form of greed, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”

16ካልድካ ሌምሶን፥ “ጋደይ ዳሮ ካꬅ እምያ እስ ዱረ ኡራይ ደኤስ።Then He told them a parable: “The ground of a certain rich man produced an abundance.

17ሄ ኡራይ፥ ‘ታ ካꬃ ታኒ ሺሻናዉ በሲ ጉፅዳ ግሾ አይ ኦꬆ?’ ያግድ ባ ዎዛናን ቆፕስ።So he thought to himself, ‘What shall I do, since I have nowhere to store my crops?’

18ህዛፐ ያታና፤ ካሰ ደእያ ሻለታ ላላዳ ሀራ ዳልጋ ሻለታ ኬፃና። ካꬅነ ታዉ ደእያባ ኡባ እያን የጋና።Then he said, ‘This is what I will do: I will tear down my barns and will build bigger ones, and there I will store up all my grain and my goods.

19ባ ሸምፐኮ፥ ‘ታ ሸምፐተ፥ ዳሮ ላይꬃስ ነዉ ግድያ ሻሎ ሺሻስ። ህዛ፥ ሸምፓዳ ማ፥ ኡያ፥ ኡፋይታ’ ያጋና።Then I will say to myself, “You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take it easy. Eat, drink, and be merry!”’

20“ሽን ፆሳይ፥ ‘ላ፥ ኤያ ኡራዉ፥ ሀች ቃማ ነ ሸምፕያ ኔፐ ኤከታዉሱ። ህዛ፥ ነ ሺሽዳባይ ኦደስ ግዳኔ?’ ያግስ።But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be required of you. Then who will own what you have accumulated?’

21“ሄሳ ግሾ፥ ባዉ ዱረተꬅ ሳአን ሺሽያ አሳስ፥ ፆሳ ማታን ዱረ ግዶና አሳስ ዉርሰꬃይ ሀ ኡራ መላ” ያግስ።This is how it will be for anyone who stores up treasure for himself but is not rich toward God.”

22ሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ የሱሲ ባ ታማረታኮ፥ “ህዛ፥ ታ ኦድያባ ስእተ፥ ህንተ ሸምፑዋስ አይ ሚኖ? ህንተ አሳተꬃስ አይ ማእኖ? ያግድ ኡንኤቶፍተ።Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear.

23ሸምፖይ ካꬃፈ፥ አሳተꬅ አፍላፐ አꬌስ።For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.

24ካፎታ በእተ ዘሮኮና፥ ኪሾኮና፥ ኤለይነ ሻለይ ኤንታዉ ባዋ። ሽን ፆሳይ ኤንታና ሙዜስ። ህንተ ካፎታፐ ዳሮ አታ።Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storehouse or barn; yet God feeds them. How much more valuable you are than the birds!

25ሀኖሽን፥ ህንተፈ ኡንኤትድ ባ ላይꬃ ቦላ እስ ቃማ ጉጃናዉ ዳንዳኤይ ኦኔ?Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

26ህዛ፥ ሀ ጉꬃባ ኦꬃናዉ ዳንዳኦና ህንተ፥ ሀራባስ አይስ ኡንኤተቲ?So if you cannot do such a small thing, why do you worry about the rest?

27አነ ጪሻት ዋንድ ድጭያኮ በእተ። ዋዮኮናነ ሱቆኮና። ሀር አቶሽን፥ ሶሎሞነይ ባ ደእያ ቦንቾ ኡባን ኤንታፈ እሱዋ መላካ ማእቤና።Consider how the lilies grow: They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory was adorned like one of these.

28ህንተኖ፥ አማኖይ ፓጭዳይሳቶ፥ ህዛ፥ ፆሳይ ሀች በንትድ ዎንቶ ታማን የገታና ጪሻታ ሀይሳዳ ማይዝኮ፥ ህንተና ዋት አꬅድ ማይዘኔ?If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith!

29ሄሳ ግሾ፥ አይ ምኖ ዎይኮ አይ ኡይኖ ግድ ኡንኤቶፍተ።And do not be concerned about what you will eat or drink. Do not worry about it.

30ሄ ኡባስ ፆሳ አማኖና አሳት ኡንኤቶሶና። ሽን ህንተ አዋይ ፆሳይ ሄስ ኡባይ ህንተዉ ኮሸይሳ ኤሬስ።For the Gentiles of the world strive after all these things, and your Father knows that you need them.

31ኡባፈ አꬅድ ፆሳ ካዎተꬃ ኮይተ፤ ሄስ ኡባይ ህንተዉ ጉጅ እመታና።But seek His kingdom, and these things will be added unto you.

32“ህንተኖ፥ ጉꬃ ደረቶ፥ ያዮፍተ፤ ህንተ አዋ ፆሳይ ካዎተꬃ ህንተዉ እማናዉ ኡፋይቴስ።Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom.

33ህንተዉ ደእያባ ባይዝድ ማንቆታስ እምተ። ካይሶይ ኤኮናሶን፥ ብል ሞናሶን፥ ጭሞና ካርፂታን፥ ዉሮና ሻሎ ሳሎን ሺሽተ።Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide yourselves with purses that will not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.

34ህንተ ዎዛናይ ህንተ ሻሎይ ደእያ በሳን ግዳና።For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

35“ቃንꬃን ዳንጭድ ጊገትተ፤ ህንተ ፆምፐይ ፖኦ።Be dressed for service and keep your lamps burning.

36ባንታ ጎዳይ ያጋኖፐ ስማና ጋካናዉ ባርክድ ናገይሳታዳ፥ ጎዳይ ይድ ፄግያ ዎደ ኤለስድ ዶያናዉ ጊግዳ አሳታ ዳንተ።Then you will be like servants waiting for their master to return from the wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks, they can open the door for him at once.

37ባንታ ጎዳይ ስምያ ዎደ ꬍስኮና ደእሸ ናገይሳት አንጀትዳይሳታ። ቱማ ጋይስ፤ ጎዳይ ቃንꬃን ዳንጭድ ጋይታ ዩሾን ኡትስድ ሞኬስ።Blessed are those servants whom the master finds on watch when he returns. Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve and will have them recline at the table, and he himself will come and wait on them.

38ጎዳይ ላደ ግድን፥ ግድ ብላሄ ግድን፥ ዎይኮ ዎንት ማ ግድን ይድ፥ ሄሳ መላ ꬍስኮና ናግሽን ደምያ ሄ አይለት አንጀትዳይሳታ።Even if he comes in the second or third watch of the night and finds them alert, those servants will be blessed.

39ሽን ሀይሳ ኤርተ፤ ካይሶይ አዉደ ያነኮ ኬꬃ አዋይ ኤርያኮ ኬꬃይ ቦከትያ ዎደ ስእ ግድ በኤና።But understand this: If the homeowner had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into.

40ህንተካ ጊግድ ናግተ፤ አሳ ናእ ህንተ ቆፖና ዎደ ያና” ያግስ።You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour you do not expect.”

41ጰፅሮስካ፥ “ጎዳዉ ሀ ሌምሱዋ ኑ ፃላላስ ኦዳየ ዎይኮ አሳ ኡባሴ?” ያግስ።“Lord,” said Peter, “are You addressing this parable to us, or to everyone else as well?”

42ጎዳይ ዛሪድ፥ “ህዛ፥ ካꬃ ሙዛናዉ በሲያ ዎድያን እማና መላ ጎዳይ ባ አይለታ ቦላ ሹምዳ አማንይስነ ዎዛናማ ሀላቃይ ኦኔ?And the Lord answered, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their portion at the proper time?

43ጎዳይ ስምያ ዎደ ሄሳ መላ ኦꬅሸ በንትያ አይለይ፥ እ አንጀትዳይሳBlessed is that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.

44ታ ህንተዉ ቱማ ኦዳይስ፤ ባ ጎዳስ ደእያ ሻሎ ኡባ ቦላ እ፥ ሹመታና።Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.

45ሽን ሄ አይለይ፥ ‘ታ ጎዳይ ኤለ ዬና’ ያግድ ባ ዎዛናን ቆፕድ፥ ማጫ አይለታነ አደ አይለታ ዋꬍኮ፥ ቃስ ባዉ ኮይዳ መላ ምሸነ ኡይሸ ማꬆትኮ፥But suppose that servant says in his heart, ‘My master will be a long time in coming,’ and he begins to beat the menservants and maidservants, and to eat and drink and get drunk.

46ሄ አይልያ ጎዳይ፥ እ ቆፖና ጋላሳንነ ህርጎና ዎደ ያና። ይድ እያ ቃንፀረꬅድ፥ እያ ቃዳ አማኖና አሳራ ኦꬃና።The master of that servant will come on a day he does not expect and at an hour he does not anticipate. Then he will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.

47“ጎዳ ሸንያዳ ጊጎናይስነ እያ ጎዳይ አይ ዶስያኮ ኤርሸ ኦꬆና አይለይ ዳሮ ጋራፈታና።That servant who knows his master’s will but does not get ready or follow his instructions will be beaten with many blows.

48ሽን ባ ጎዳ ሸንያ ኤሮና አትድ ጋራፈታናዉ በሰይሳ ኦꬅዳይ ጉꬃራ ጋራፈታና። ጋሶይካ ዳሮ እመትዳይሳፈ ዳሮ ኮየቴስ፥ ዳሮ ሀዳራ ኤክዳይሳፈካ ዳሮ እማና ግድ ናገቴስ።But the one who unknowingly does things worthy of punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and from him who has been entrusted with much, even more will be demanded.

49“ታኒ ይዳይ ቢታ ቦላ ታማ ኦይꬃናሳ። ሀእ ታማይ ኦይክያኮ ታና ዋንድ ኡፋይሳንደሻ!I have come to ignite a fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!

50ሀኖሽን፥ ታ ሀእ ፃማቀተይ ፅንቃተይ ደኤስ። እ ፖለታና ጋካናዉ ታ ዳሮ ኡንኤታይስ።But I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished!

51ሳአ ቦላ ሳሮተꬅ ኤሀናዉ ይዳ ህንተዉ ዳኒ? ግደና፥ ታ ይዳይ ሻካናሳ።Do you think that I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I tell you, but division.

52ሀእፈ ዶምድ ዎል ግዶን ሻከትዳ እቻሹ ኬꬃ አሳት እስፈ ደኦሶና። ናምአት ሄꬓታ ቦላ፥ ሄꬓትካ ናምአታ ቦላ፥ ደንድድ ሻከቶሶና።From now on, five in one household will be divided, three against two and two against three.

53አዋይ ናኣ ቦላ፥ ናአይካ አዋ ቦላ፥ አይያ ናኤ ቦላ፥ ናእያ አየ ቦላ፥ አዝና አይያ ናአ ማቸ ቦላ፥ ናአ ማችያ አዝና አየ ቦላ፥ ደንድድ ሻከታና።”They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.”

54ቃስካ አሳኮ፥ “ዉሎሀ ባጋራ ሳሎይ ሻራትያ ዎደ በእድ፥ ኤለስድ፥ ‘እር ያና’ ያጌታ፥ ሄሳዳካ ሀኔስ።Then Jesus said to the crowds, “As soon as you see a cloud rising in the west, you say, ‘A shower is coming,’ and that is what happens.

55ዱገሀ ጫርኮይ ጫርክያ ዎደ ‘ሳእ አዋና’ ያጌታ፥ ሄሳዳካ ሀኔስ” ያግስ።And when the south wind blows, you say, ‘It will be hot,’ and it is.

56ህንተኖ፥ ጩቦቶ፥ ሳሎባነ ሳአባ ሻክድ ኤሬታሽን ሀ ዎድያ ሻክድ ኤሮይ ህንተና ዋንድ ፆንዴ?You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and sky. Why don’t you know how to interpret the present time?

57“ያትን፥ ህንተ ሁጰስ አይስ ቱማ ፕርደከቲ?And why don’t you judge for yourselves what is right?

58ነ ሞርክያራ ዎላ ዳይና ስንꬃን ኤቃናዉ ባሸ ኦገ ቦላ ጊጋናዉ ኮያ። ነ ጊጎና እፅኮ ጎሸችድ ዳይና ስን ነና ኤፋና። ዳይናይ ነና ቃችያ አሳስ አꬅድ እማና። እ ነና ዎይነን የጋና።Make every effort to reconcile with your adversary while you are on your way to the magistrate. Otherwise, he may drag you off to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and the officer may throw you into prison.

59ስእተ፥ እስ ባካን አቶና ጭጋ ኦንጋና ጋካናዉ ነ ያፐ ከዮናይሳ ኤራ” ያግስ።I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the very last penny.”
