1. 1GOFEእስ ጋላስ የሱሲ ገንሳሬፀ አባ ማታን ኤቅዳሽን ዳሮ አሳይ እያ ዩሹዋ ኡንኤꬅድ፥ እ ታማርስያ ፆሳ ቃላ ስኦሶና።BSBBSB: On one occasion, while Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret with the crowd pressing in on Him to hear the word of God,
2. 2GOFEያን ሃꬃ ጋፃን ደእያ ናምኡ ዎጎሎታ በእስ። ሞሎ ኦይክያ አሳት ዎጎሎታፐ ዎꬍድ ባንታ ግትያ ሜጮሶና።BSBBSB: He saw two boats at the edge of the lake. The fishermen had left them and were washing their nets.
3. 3GOFEሄ ዎጎሎታፐ ስሞናይሳን ገልድ ቢታፈ ጉꬅ ግዶ ሺሻና መላ ኦይችስ። ያትድ፥ ሄ ዎጎሉዋ ቦላ ኡትድ አሳ ታማርስስ።BSBBSB: Jesus got into the boat belonging to Simon and asked him to put out a little from shore. And sitting down, He taught the people from the boat.
4. 4GOFEባ ትምርትያ ኦንግዳፐ ጉየ ስሞናኮ፥ “ገደ ጪሙዋኮ ሺሻዳ ሞሉዋ ኦይካናዉ ህንተ ግትያ የግተ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: When Jesus had finished speaking, He said to Simon, “Put out into deep water and let down your nets for a catch.”
5. 5GOFEስሞን ዛሪድ፥ “አስታማርያዉ፥ ቃማ ኩመꬅ ዳቡርሸ አቅድ አይኮካ ኦይክቦኮ፥ ሽን ነ ጊኮ ግትያ የጋና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: “Master,” Simon replied, “we have worked hard all night without catching anything. But because You say so, I will let down the nets.”
6. 6GOFEኤንቲ ግትያ የግዳ ዎደ ግተይ ዳከታና ጋካናዉ ዳሮ ሞሎ ኦይክዶሶና።BSBBSB: When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to tear.
7. 7GOFEሀራ ዎጎሎን ደእያ ባንታ ላገት ይድ፥ ባንታና ማዳና መላ ዉትድ ፄግዶሶና። ኤንቲ ይድ ናምኡ ዎጎሎት፥ ሃꬃን ምተታና ጋካናዉ ሞሎን ኩንꬅዶሶና።BSBBSB: So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.
8. 8GOFEስሞን ጰፅሮስ ሄሳ በእዳ ዎደ፥ የሱሳ ስንꬃን ኩንድድ፥ “ጎዳዉ፥ ታኒ ናጋራንቾ አስ ግድያ ግሾ፥ ታፐ ሻከታ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees. “Go away from me, Lord,” he said, “for I am a sinful man.”
9. 9GOFEእ ሄሳ ግዳይ፥ እነ እያራ ደኤይሳት ኦይክዳ ሞሉዋ ዳሮተꬃን ማላለትዳ ግሾሳ።BSBBSB: For he and his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken,
10. 10GOFEቃስ ስሞና ላገ ግድዳ ዛብድዮሳ ናይት ያይቆባራነ ዮሃንሳራ ማላለትዶሶና። የሱሲ ስሞናኮ፥ “ባቦፋ! ህዛፐ ኔኒ አሰ ኦይክያ አስ ግዳና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: and so were his partners James and John, the sons of Zebedee. “Do not be afraid,” Jesus said to Simon. “From now on you will catch men.”
11. 11GOFEኤንቲ ዎጎሎታ ጋፃ ሺሽዳፐ ጉየ ኡባ አግድ የሱሳ ካልዶሶና።BSBBSB: And when they had brought their boats ashore, they left everything and followed Him.
12. 12GOFEየሱሲ ካታማታፐ እሱዋን ደእሽን እስ ባሮ ሀርገን ኦይከትዳ አስ ሄ ካታማን ደኤስ። ሄ ኡራይ የሱሳ በእድ እያ ስንꬃን ጉፋንድ፥ “ጎዳዉ፥ ነ ሸነ ግድኮ ታና ጌሻናዉ ዳንዳኣሳ” ግድ ዎስስ።BSBBSB: While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell facedown and begged Him, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
13. 13GOFEየሱሲ ባ ኩሽያ የድ ቦችድ፥ “ኤ፥ ታ ሸነ፤ ጌይያ” ያግስ። ኢራ ባሮ ሀርገይ ኡራፐ ክችስ።BSBBSB: Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” He said. “Be clean!” And immediately the leprosy left him.
14. 14GOFEየሱሲ፥ “ሀይሳ ኦደስካ ኦዶፓ፥ ሽን ባዳ ነናተꬃ አይሁደ ካህነ በሳ። ነ ጌይዳይሳስ ማርካ ግዳና መላ ሙሰይ ኪትዳ ያርሾ ያርሻ” ግድ ኪትስ።BSBBSB: “Do not tell anyone,” Jesus instructed him. “But go, show yourself to the priest and present the offering Moses prescribed for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.”
15. 15GOFEግዶሽን፥ እያ ሱንꬃይ ካሰፐ አꬍድ ኤረትሸ ብስ። ዳሮ አሳይ እ ኦድያባ ስአናዉነ ባንታ ሀርግያፈ ፓፃናዉ ዮሶና።BSBBSB: But the news about Jesus spread all the more, and great crowds came to hear Him and to be healed of their sicknesses.
16. 16GOFEሽን የሱሲ ዳሮ ዎደ ጌማ በሲ ብድ ዎሴስ።BSBBSB: Yet He frequently withdrew to the wilderness to pray.
17. 17GOFEእስ ጋላስ የሱሲ ታማርስሽን ጋልላፐነ ይሁዳ ሄራ ኡባፈ ቃስ የሩሳላመፐ ይዳ ፋርሳወትነ ህገ አስታማረት ያን ኡትዶሶና። አሳ ፓꬅያ ጎዳ ዎልቃይካ እያራ ደኤስ።BSBBSB: One day Jesus was teaching, and the Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. People had come from Jerusalem and from every village of Galilee and Judea, and the power of the Lord was present for Him to heal the sick.
18. 18GOFEሄ ዎደ አሳይ እስ ጉንዳ አስ ሀላራ ቶክድ ኤህዶሶና። ሶ ገልስድ እያ ስንꬃን ዎꬃናዉ ቆፕዶሶና።BSBBSB: Just then some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat. They tried to bring him inside to set him before Jesus,
19. 19GOFEሽን አሳ ዳሮተꬃፈ ደንዶይሳን ሶ ገልሳናዉ ፆነትድ ኬꬃ ቦላ ከይድ፥ ካራ ቃዉፅድ፥ ሀርጋንቹዋ ሀላራ አሳ ሻክድ የሱሳ ስንꬃን የግዶሶና።BSBBSB: but they could not find a way through the crowd. So they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus.
20. 20GOFEየሱሲ ኤንታ አማኑዋ በእድ፥ “ላ አድያዉ፥ ነ ናጋራይ አቶ ጌተትስ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: When Jesus saw their faith, He said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.”
21. 21GOFEህገ አስታማረትነ ፋርሳወት፥ “ሀይስ ፆሳ ቦላ ያግድ ኦደተይ ኦኔ? እስ ፆሳፈ አትሽን፥ ሀር ናጋራ አቶ ጋናዉ ዳንዳኤይ ኦኔ?” ያግድ ቆፕዶሶና።BSBBSB: But the scribes and Pharisees began thinking to themselves, “Who is this man who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
22. 22GOFEየሱሲ ኤንታ ቆፋ ኤርዳ ግሾ ኤንታኮ፥ “ህንተ ዎዛናን ሄሳꬆ አይስ ቆፔቲ?BSBBSB: Knowing what they were thinking, Jesus replied, “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?
23. 23GOFE‘ነ ናጋራይ ቁሸትስ ገይሳፈነ ደንዳዳ ባ ገይሳፈ አዉስ ካዉዪ?’BSBBSB: Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’?
24. 24GOFEሽን ታ ሄሳ ግዳይ አሳ ናእ ሳአ ቦላ ናጋራ አቶ ጋናዉ ማት ደኤይሳ ህንተ ኤራና መላሳ።” ሄሳፈ ካልድ፥ ጉንዳ ኡራኮ፥ “ደንዳ፤ ነ አልጋ ቶካዳ ነ ሶ ባ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on the earth to forgive sins…” He said to the paralytic, “I tell you, get up, pick up your mat, and go home.”
25. 25GOFEእ ኤለስ ደንድድ ኤንታ ስንꬃን ኤቅስ፤ እ ቶከትድ ይዳ አልጋ ቶክድ ፆሳ ጋላትሸ ባ ሶ ብስ።BSBBSB: And immediately the man stood up before them, took what he had been lying on, and went home glorifying God.
26. 26GOFEሄ ዎደ ኡባይካ ማላለትዶሶና። ፆሳ ጋላትሸ፥ “ሀች ግታ ማላታ በእዳ” ያግድ ያሸትዶሶና።BSBBSB: Everyone was taken with amazement and glorified God. They were filled with awe and said, “We have seen remarkable things today.”
27. 27GOFEሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ የሱሲ ያፐ ከይድ ብስ። ሌወ ጌተትያ እስ ቃራፃ ቃንፅሰይስ ቃራፃ ቃንፅስያ በሳን ኡትዳይሳ በእድ፥ “ታና ካላ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the tax booth. “Follow Me,” He told him,
28. 28GOFEእ ኡባባ አግድ፥ ደንድድ እያ ካልስ።BSBBSB: and Levi got up, left everything, and followed Him.
29. 29GOFEሄ ሌወይ ባ ሶን ግታ ግብራ ጊግስስ። ዳሮ ቃራፃ ቃንፅሰይሳትነ ሀራ አሳት ካꬃ ቦላ ኡትዶሶና።BSBBSB: Then Levi hosted a great banquet for Jesus at his house. A large crowd of tax collectors was there, along with others who were eating with them.
30. 30GOFEፋርሳወትነ ህገ አስታማረት፥ “ቃራፃ ቃንፀይሳታራነ ናጋራንቾታራ አይስ ሜትነ ኡዬቲ?” ያግድ የሱሳ ታማረታ ቦላ ዙዙምዶሶና።BSBBSB: But the Pharisees and their scribes complained to Jesus’ disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”
31. 31GOFEየሱሲ ኤንታኮ፥ “ሀርጋንቾታሳፈ አትሽን፥ ፓፃታስ አክመ ኮሸና።BSBBSB: Jesus answered, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.
32. 32GOFEታኒ ናጋራንቾታ ማሮታኮ ዛራናሳፈ አትሽን፥ ጌሻታ ፄጋናዉ ያቢከ” ያግድ ዛርስ።BSBBSB: I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
33. 33GOFEኤንቲ የሱሳኮ፥ “ዮሃንሳ ታማረት ዳሮ ዎደ ፆሞሶና፥ ዎሶሶና፤ ቃስ ፋርሳወታ ታማረትካ ሄሳꬆ ኦꬆሶና። ሽን ነይሳት ኡባ ዎደ ሞሶናነ ኡዮሶና” ያግዶሶና።BSBBSB: Then they said to Him, “John’s disciples and those of the Pharisees frequently fast and pray, but Yours keep on eating and drinking.”
34. 34GOFEየሱሲ ኤንታኮ፥ “ማችዉ ኤከይስ ኤንታራ ደእሽን ፄገትዳ አሳይ ፆማና መላ ኦꬃናዉ ዳንዳኤቲ?BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “Can you make the guests of the bridegroom fast while He is with them?
35. 35GOFEሽን ሙሹራይ ኤንታፈ ሻከታና ጋላሳይ ያና፥ ሄ ዎደ ኤንቲ ፆማና።”BSBBSB: But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.”
36. 36GOFEቃስ ያግድ ሌምሶ ኦድስ፤ “ኦራꬃ ማኦፐ ፔꬍድ ጋልአ ማኦ ቦላ ስከይ ኦንካ ባዋ። ሄሳꬆ ኦꬅኮ ኦራꬃ ማኡዋ ፔꬌስ፥ ኦራꬃይ ጋልኣስ ጊገና።BSBBSB: He also told them a parable: “No one tears a piece of cloth from a new garment and sews it on an old one. If he does, he will tear the new garment as well, and the patch from the new will not match the old.
37. 37GOFEማልአንቶ ዎይነ ጋልአ ኦጎሮን ቆልያ ኦንካ ባዋ። ሄሳ ኦꬅኮ፥ ኦራꬃ ዎይነይ ጋልአ ኦጎሩዋ ꬉሴስ፤ ዎይነይ ጉኬስ ኦጎሮይካ ማዶናባ ግዴስ።BSBBSB: And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will spill, and the wineskins will be ruined.
38. 38GOFEሄሳ ግሾ፥ ኦራꬃ ዎይነይ ኦራꬃ ኦጎሮን ቆለታናዉ በሴስ።BSBBSB: Instead, new wine is poured into new wineskins.
39. 39GOFEህዛ፥ ጫላይ ሎኦ ግያ ግሾ፥ ጫላ ዎይነ ኡይ ስሚድ ማልአንቶ ኮየይ ኦንካ ባዋ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: And no one after drinking old wine wants new, for he says, ‘The old is better.’”
