1. 1GOFE“አስ በኦ ግድ ህንተ ሎኦ ኦሱዋ አሳ ስንꬃን ኦꬆናዳ ናገትተ። ሄሳꬆ ሀኖና እፅኮ ሳሎን ደእያ ህንተ አዋፐ ዎይቶ ደመከታ።BSBBSB: “Be careful not to perform your righteous acts before men to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
2. 2GOFE“ህንተ ማንቆታስ እምያ ዎደ አሳ ስንꬃን ቦንቸታናዉ ግድ ጩቦት ኦግያ ዶናንነ አይሁደ ዎሳ ኬꬃታን ኦይሳዳ አስ በኦ ግድ ኦꬆፍተ። ታ ህንተዉ ቱማ ኦዳይስ፤ ኤንቲ ባንታ ኩመꬃ ዎይቱዋ ኤክዶሶና።BSBBSB: So when you give to the needy, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward.
3. 3GOFEሽን ህንተ ማንቆታስ እምያ ዎደ ህንተ ኡሻቻ ኩሸይ ኦይሳ ህንተ ሀድርሳ ኩሸይ ኤሮፖ፤BSBBSB: But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
4. 4GOFEህንተ እሞይ ጌማን ግዶ። ጌማን ኦይሳ በእያ ህንተ አዋይ ህንተዉ ዎይቱዋ ቆንጨን እማና።BSBBSB: so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
5. 5GOFE“ዎሳ ዎስሸ ጩቦታꬆ ሀኖፕተ። ኤንቲ፥ ባንታና አስ በኦ ግድ አይሁደ ዎሳ ኬꬃንነ ኦግያ ዶናን ኤቅድ ዎሰይሳ ዶሶሶና። ታ ህንተዉ ቱማ ኦዳይስ፤ ኤንቲ ባንታ ኩመꬃ ዎይቱዋ ኤክዶሶና።BSBBSB: And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward.
6. 6GOFEሽን ኔኒ ዎስያ ዎደ፥ ነ ሶ ገላ፥ ዉላ ጎርዳዳ ጌማን ደእያ ነ አዋኮ ዎሳ፤ ጌማን ኦሰትዳይሳ በእያ ነ አዋይ ነዉ ዎይቱዋ እማና።BSBBSB: But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
7. 7GOFEህንተ ዎስያ ዎደ አማኖና አሳꬆ ጮ ቃላ ዳርስድ ዎሶፍተ። ኤንቲ አዱስ ዎስን ፆሳይ ስኤስ ግድ ቆፖሶና።BSBBSB: And when you pray, do not babble on like pagans, for they think that by their many words they will be heard.
8. 8GOFEሄሳ ግሾ፥ ኤንታይሳዳ ሀኖፕተ። አይስ ጊኮ፥ ህንተ አዋይ ህንተዉ አይ ኮሽያኮ ህንተ ዎሳናፐ ስንꬃትድ ኤሬስ።BSBBSB: Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
9. 9GOFE“ህዛ፥ ህንተ ያግድ ዎስተ፦ “ ‘ሳሎን ደእያ ኑ አዋዉ፥ ነ ጌሻ ሱንꬃይ አንጀቶ።BSBBSB: So then, this is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.
10. 10GOFEነ ካዎተꬃይ ዮ፥ ነ ሸነይ ሳሎን ሀንዳይሳዳ ሳአንካ ሀኖ።BSBBSB: Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
11. 11GOFEጋላሳ ካꬃ ሀች ሀች ኑስ እማ።BSBBSB: Give us this day our daily bread.
12. 12GOFEኑኒ ኑና ቆህዳይሳታ፥ አቶ ገይሳዳ፥ ኑስካ ኑ ቆሁዋ አቶ ጋ።BSBBSB: And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13. The ending of the Lord’s Prayer
    13GOFEኑና ኢታፐ አሻፈ አትሽን፥ ፓጨን ገልሶፋ። ካዎተꬃይ፥ ዎልቃይነ ቦንቾይ መርናዉ ኔሳ፤ አምንእ።’BSBBSB: And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’
14. 14GOFE“ህንተ ህንተና ቆህዳይሳታ አቶ ጊኮ፥ ሳሎን ደእያ ህንተ አዋይ ህንተ ቆሁዋካ አቶ ጋና።BSBBSB: For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
15. 15GOFEሽን ህንተ ሀራ አሳ ናጋራ አቶ ጎና እፅኮ ህንተ አዋይ ህንተ ናጋራ አቶ ጌና።BSBBSB: But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive yours.
16. 16GOFE“ህንተ ፆምያ ዎደ ጩቦታꬆ ካዮቶፍተ። አይስ ጊኮ፥ ኤንቲ ፆመይሳ አስ ኤራና መላ ባንታ ሶምኡዋ ቅታዮሶና። ታ ቱማ ኦዳይስ፤ ኤንቲ ባንታ ዎይቱዋ ኤክዶሶና።BSBBSB: When you fast, do not be somber like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward.
17. 17GOFE“ሽን ኔኒ ፆምያ ዎደ ነ ሶምኡዋ ሜጫ፥ ነ ሁጵያ ትየታ።BSBBSB: But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face,
18. 18GOFEሄሳዳ ነ ኦꬅኮ ነ ፆምያ ፆማይ አሳፐ ጌምዳይሳ፥ ሽን ጌማን ደእያ ነ አዋይ ኤርያ ፆማ ግዳና። ጌማን ኦሰትዳይሳ በእያ ነ አዋይ ነዉ ዎይቱዋ እማና።BSBBSB: so that your fasting will not be obvious to men, but only to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
19. 19GOFE“ብል ምያ በሳን፥ ብራት ሽእያሶን፥ ካይሶይ ቦክድ ኤክያሶን፥ ሀ ሳአን፥ ህንተዉ ሻሎ ሺሾፕተ።BSBBSB: Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
20. 20GOFEሽን ብል ሞናሶን፥ ብራት ሽኦናሶን፥ ካይሶይ ቦክድ ኤኮናሶን ሳሎን ህንተዉ ሻሎ ሺሽተ።BSBBSB: But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
21. 21GOFEነ ሻሎይ ደእያሱዋን ነ ዎዛናይ ደአና።BSBBSB: For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
22. 22GOFE“አይፈይ አሳተꬃስ ፆምፐ። ሄሳ ግሾ፥ ነ አይፈይ ፓፃ ግድኮ ነ ኩመꬃ አሳተꬃይ ፖኦ ግዴስ።BSBBSB: The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light.
23. 23GOFEነ አይፈይ ሀርጋንቾ ግድኮ ነ ኩመꬃ አሳተꬃይ ꬉማ ግዴስ። ህዛ፥ ነናን ደእያ ፖኦይ ꬉማ ግድኮ፥ ꬉማይ አይ መላ አꬍድ ꬉማንዴሻ!BSBBSB: But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
24. 24GOFE“እስ አስ ናምኡ ጎዳስ ሃረታናዉ ዳንዳኤና። እሱዋ ዶስኮ ሀንኩዋ እፄስ፤ ዎይኮ እሱዋ ቦንችኮ ሀንኩዋ ካꬌስ። ፆሳስነ ሚሸስ ሃረታናዉ ዳንዳኤከታ።BSBBSB: No one can serve two masters: Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
25. 25GOFE“ህዛ፥ ስእተ! ህንተ ደኦን ዳናዉ፥ ‘አይ ማኔ? አይ ኡያኔ? አይ ማአኔ?’ ግድ ኡንኤቶፍተ፤ ደኦይ ካꬃፈ ዎይኮ አሳተꬅ ማኦፐ አኔ?BSBBSB: Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
26. 26GOFEሳሎ ካፎታ ፄልተ፤ ኤንቲ ዘሮኮና፥ ቡጮኮና፥ ሻለን የጎኮና፥ ሽን ህንተ ሳሎ አዋይ ኤንታ ሙዜስ። ህንተ ኤንታፈ ዳሮ አከቲ?BSBBSB: Look at the birds of the air: They do not sow or reap or gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
27. 27GOFEህንተ ግዶፈ ዳሮ ኡንኤትድ ባ ላይꬃ ቦላ እስ ጋላስ ጉጃናዉ ዳንዳኤይ ደኢ?BSBBSB: Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
28. 28GOFE“ቃስ ህንተ ማእያባስ አይስ ኡንኤተቲ? አነ ጪሻታ በእተ፥ ኦሶን ዳቡሮኮና ዎይኮ ሱቆኮና።BSBBSB: And why do you worry about clothes? Consider how the lilies of the field grow: They do not labor or spin.
29. 29GOFEስእተ! ሀር አቶሽን፥ ካዋ ሶሎሞነይ ባ ቦንቾ ኡባን ሀ ጪሻታፐ እሱዋ መላካ ማእቤና።BSBBSB: Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his glory was adorned like one of these.
30. 30GOFEህንተኖ፥ አማኖይ ፓጭዳይሳቶ፥ ፆሳይ ሀች በንትድ ዎንቶ ታማን ዎꬋናዉ ደእያ ማታ ያትድ ማይዝያባ ግድኮ፥ ህንተና ኤንታፈ አꬅድ ዋት ማይዘኔ?BSBBSB: If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31. 31GOFEሄሳ ግሾ፥ ‘አይ ማኔ? አይ ኡያኔ? አይ ማአኔ?’ ግድ ኡንኤቶፍተ።BSBBSB: Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
32. 32GOFEሄ ኡባ ፆሳ አማኖና አሳይ ዳርስድ ደማናዉ ኡንኤቶሶና። ህንተ ሳሎ አዋይ ሄ ኡባይ ህንተዉ ኮሸይሳ ኤሬስ።BSBBSB: For the Gentiles strive after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
33. 33GOFEሽን ኡባፈ ስን ፆሳ ካዎተꬃነ እያ ፅሎተꬃ ኮይተ፤ ሄ ኡባይ ህንተዉ ጉጅ እመታና።BSBBSB: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.
34. 34GOFEሄሳ ግሾ፥ ዎንቶስ ቆፕሸ ኡንኤቶፍተ። ዎንቶይስ ዎንቶስ አቆ፤ እስ እስ ጋላሳይ ባዉ ግድያ መቶራ ደኤስ።BSBBSB: Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own.
