1. 1GOFEነኖ፥ ናናወ፥ መንረይስ ከይስ! ሄሳ ግሾ፥ ነ ሚፃ ናጋ፤ ነ ኦግያ ዎቻ፤ ነ ዳንጩዋ ምንꬃ፤ ነና ጊግሳ።BSBBSB: One who scatters advances against you, O Nineveh. Guard the fortress! Watch the road! Brace yourselves! Summon all your strength!
2. 2GOFEቦንቀይሳት ቦንቅድ፥ ኤንታ ዎይንያ ꬋይስኮካ፥ ጎዳይ እስራኤለ ቦንቹዋ ዛርዳይሳዳ ያይቆባ ቦንቹዋ ዛራና።BSBBSB: For the LORD will restore the splendor of Jacob like the splendor of Israel, though destroyers have laid them waste and ruined the branches of their vine.
3. 3GOFEኦላንቾት ዞኦ ጎንዳለ ኦይክዶሶና፤ ዞኦ ማኦ ማእዶሶና። ኤንቲ ኦላስ ጊግያ ዎደ ፓራ ጋረት ቅንኣሮሶና፤ ኤንቲ ባንታ ቶራ ሉፆሶና።BSBBSB: The shields of his mighty men are red; the valiant warriors are dressed in scarlet. The fittings of the chariots flash like fire on the day they are prepared, and the spears of cypress have been brandished.
4. 4GOFEፓራ ጋረት ኦግያን አዳርሶሶና፤ ኤንቲ ያነ ሃነ ሄመትሸ ካታማ ኦግያን ዩዮሶና። ቃስ ኤንቲ ላጮይ ሎጩ ግያ ፆምፐ ዳኖሶና፤ ዎልአንꬃዳ ኤለሶሶና።BSBBSB: The chariots dash through the streets; they rush around the plazas, appearing like torches, darting about like lightning.
5. 5GOFEናናወይ ባ ሀላቃታ ፄግድ ሺሻና፥ ሽን ኤንቲ ይሸ ኦገ ቦላ ꬉበታና። ኤንቲ ካታማ ግምበ ድርሳኮ ኤለሳና፥ ሞርከታ ቆሁዋፐ ኤንታ ናግያ ጎንዳለይ ጊግስ።BSBBSB: He summons his nobles; they stumble as they advance. They race to its wall; the protective shield is set in place.
6. 6GOFEሻፋ ባጋራ ደእያ ካታማ ድርሳ ፐንገት ዶየትዶሶና፤ ካዎ ጋꬎይ ዳጋምስ።BSBBSB: The river gates are thrown open and the palace collapses.
7. 7GOFEካውያ ድኤታዳ ባሱ፤ እ ማጫ አይለት አዛንድ ሆለዳ ጉጉማና፤ ባንታ ትራ ባቅሸ ዬካና።BSBBSB: It is decreed that the city be exiled and carried away; her maidservants moan like doves, and beat upon their breasts.
8. 8GOFEተቀትዳ ሃꬅ ዶይ በስን ጎገይሳዳ ናናወ አሳይ ካታማፐ ባቃታና። አስ ኤንታ ባ ቃላ ꬎቁ ኦꬅድ፥ “ኤቅተ! ኤቅተ!” ያግድ ፄጋና፥ ሽን ኦንካ ጉየ ፄለና።BSBBSB: Nineveh has been like a pool of water throughout her days, but now it is draining away. “Stop! Stop!” they cry, but no one turns back.
9. 9GOFEሄ ካታማ ሻሉዋስነ፥ እያን ምንጀትዳ ቦንቾ ሚሽያስ ታይቦይ ባዋ። ሄሳ ግሾ፥ ሄ ብራነ ዎርቃ ቦንቅተ!BSBBSB: “Plunder the silver! Plunder the gold!” There is no end to the treasure, an abundance of every precious thing.
10. 10GOFEናናወይ ባይሳ ግድስ፤ ካይሳትድ፥ ባዞ ግድስ! አሳ ዎዛናይ ያሻን ትልእስ፤ ጋደይ ኮኮርስ፤ ፄሳይ ፃፀትስ፤ ሶምኦይ ቡላትስ!BSBBSB: She is emptied! Yes, she is desolate and laid waste! Hearts melt, knees knock, bodies tremble, and every face grows pale!
11. 11GOFEጋሞት አቅያ በሳይ፥ ዎዳላ ጋሞት ደእያ በሳይ፥ አደይነ ማጫ ጋሞት ባንታ ማራታራ ያሽ ባይና ጉፕያ በሲ ዳንያ ናናወ ካታማይ ሀእ አዉን ደኢ?BSBBSB: Where is the lions’ lair or the feeding ground of the young lions, where the lion and lioness prowled with their cubs, with nothing to frighten them away?
12. 12GOFEጋሞይ ባ ማራታስ ግድያባ ኦይክስ፤ ባራ ደእያ ማጫ ጋመስ መንረꬅድ እሚስ። ባ ጎንጎሉዋ ዎꬃን፥ ባ ኦላ አሾን ኩንꬅስ።BSBBSB: The lion mauled enough for its cubs and strangled prey for the lioness. It filled its dens with the kill, and its lairs with mauled prey.
13. 13GOFEኡባፈ ዎልቃማ ጎዳይ፥ “ሄኮ፥ ታኒ ነ ቦላ ደንዳስ! ታኒ ነ ፓራ ጋረታ ታማን ፁጋና፤ ነ ዎዳላ ጋሞታ ማሽ ማና። ኔኒ ሀራታፐ ኤክዳባ ታኒ ኔፐ ዎስሳና፤ ነ ኪታንቾታ ቃላይ ህዛፐ ስኤተና” ያጌስ።BSBBSB: “Behold, I am against you,” declares the LORD of Hosts. “I will reduce your chariots to cinders, and the sword will devour your young lions. I will cut off your prey from the earth, and the voices of your messengers will no longer be heard.”
