1. 1GOFEዳርዮስ ካዎትዳ ኦይዳንꬆ ላይꬃን፥ ክሲላ ጌተትያ ኡዱፉንꬆ አጌናን፥ ኦይዳንꬆ ጋላሳን፥ ዛካርያሳኮ ይዳ ጎዳ ቃላይ ሀይሳ።BSBBSB: In the fourth year of King Darius, the word of the LORD came to Zechariah on the fourth day of the ninth month, the month of Chislev.
2. 2GOFEቤተለ ካታማ አሳይ ሳረዜራ፥ ረገም-መለካነ ኤንታራ እስፈ ደእያ አሳታ ጎዳ አንጆይ ያና መላ ዎሳናዉ ኪትዶሶና።BSBBSB: Now the people of Bethel had sent Sharezer and Regem-melech, along with their men, to plead before the LORD
3. 3GOFEቃስ ኡባፈ ዎልቃማ ጎዳ ኬꬃን ኦꬅያ ካህነታነ ናበታ፥ “ዳሮ ላይꬅ ኦꬅሸ ጋምእዳይሳዳ ኑኒ ሀእካ እቻሻንꬆ አጌናን ዬካናዉነ ፆማናዉ በሲ?” ያግድ ኦይቻና መላ ኪትዶሶና።BSBBSB: by asking the priests of the house of the LORD of Hosts, as well as the prophets, “Should I weep and fast in the fifth month, as I have done these many years?”
4. 4GOFEሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ ኡባፈ ዎልቃማ ጎዳ ቃላይ ሀይሳዳ ያግድ ታኮ ይስ፦BSBBSB: Then the word of the LORD of Hosts came to me, saying,
5. 5GOFE“ቢታን ደእያ አሳ ኡባስነ ካህነታስ ሀይሳዳ ያጋዳ ኦዳ፦ ‘ህንተ ሀ አꬍዳ ላፑን ታሙ ላይꬃን እቻሻንꬆ አጌናንነ ላፑንꬃ አጌናን ፆምዳይነ ዬክዳይ ታና ቦንቻናሴ?BSBBSB: “Ask all the people of the land and the priests, ‘When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months for these seventy years, was it really for Me that you fasted?
6. 6GOFEህንተ ምያ ዎደነ ኡያ ዎደ ህንተዉ ሜታነ ኡዬታ።BSBBSB: And when you were eating and drinking, were you not doing so simply for yourselves?
7. 7GOFEየሩሳላመ ካታማይነ እያ ዩሹዋን ደእያ ካታማታን ደእያ አሳይ ሸምፖንነ እንጀን ደእዳ ዎደነ ነገባንነ ጋꬋን አሳይ ዎፑ ግድ ደእዳ ዎደ ጎዳይ ባ ናበታ ባጋራ ኦድዳ ቃላይ ሀይሳ ግደኔ?’ ያጋ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Are these not the words that the LORD proclaimed through the earlier prophets, when Jerusalem and its surrounding towns were populous and prosperous, and the Negev and the foothills were inhabited?’”
8. 8GOFEጎዳ ቃላይ ዛካርያሳኮ ሀይሳዳ ያግድ ይስ፦BSBBSB: Then the word of the LORD came to Zechariah, saying,
9. 9GOFE“ኡባፈ ዎልቃማ ጎዳይ ካሰ እምዳ ኪታይ፥ ‘ሱረ ፕርዳ ፕርድተ፤ ህንተ እሶይ እሱዋስ ኬሀተꬅነ ማሮተꬅ ኦꬅተ።BSBBSB: “This is what the LORD of Hosts says: ‘Administer true justice. Show loving devotion and compassion to one another.
10. 10GOFEአምኤታ፥ ይኦታ፥ በተ አሳነ ማንቆታ ናቆፍተ። ቃስ ህንተፈ ኦንካ ባ እሻ ቦላ ኢታባ ኦꬃናዉ ባ ዎዛናን ቆፖፎ።’BSBBSB: Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. And do not plot evil in your hearts against one another.’
11. 11GOFE“ሽን ኤንቲ ስኦና እፅዶሶና፤ ዞኮ ዛሪድ ባንታ ሀይꬃ ቱጭዶሶና።BSBBSB: But they refused to pay attention and turned a stubborn shoulder; they stopped up their ears from hearing.
12. 12GOFEኡባፈ ዎልቃማ ጎዳይ ባ አያናን ካሰ ባ ናበታ ባጋራ ኪትዳ ህግያነ ቃላ ስኦና እፅድ ባንታ ዎዛና ዛላዳ ምንꬅዶሶና። ሄሳ ግሾ፥ ኡባፈ ዎልቃማ ጎዳ ማታፐ ግታ ሀንቆይ ኤንታ ቦላ ይስ።BSBBSB: They made their hearts like flint and would not listen to the law or to the words that the LORD of Hosts had sent by His Spirit through the earlier prophets. Therefore great anger came from the LORD of Hosts.
13. 13GOFEታኒ ፄግያ ዎደ ኤንቲ ስኦና እፅዳይሳዳ ኤንቲ ፄግያ ዎደ ታኒ ስእከ” ያጌስ ኡባፈ ዎልቃማ ጎዳይ።BSBBSB: And just as I had called and they would not listen, so when they called I would not listen, says the LORD of Hosts.
14. 14GOFE“ታኒ ጎተ ኤሀዳ ኤንቲ ኤሮና ካዎተꬃታ ግዶን ላላስ። ቢታይ አስ ያነ ሃነ ስመረቶና ካይሳ ቢታ ግድስ፤ ሀ ሎኦ ቢታይ ባይሳ ግድስ” ያጌስ ኡባፈ ዎልቃማ ጎዳይ።BSBBSB: But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations that they had not known, and the land was left desolate behind them so that no one could come or go. Thus they turned the pleasant land into a desolation.”
