4Hinteno, kahineto, taani hintena mootiyabay de7iya gisho, oonika hara asara palametofo; woyko hara asi mootopo.But let no man contend; let no man offer reproof; for your people are like those who contend with a priest.

5Hinte gallasinne qamma dhubeteeta; nabetika hintera dhubetoosona. Hessa gisho, taani hinte aayiw dhaysana.You will stumble by day, and the prophet will stumble with you by night; so I will destroy your mother—

6Ta asaas eratethi bayna gisho dhayidosona. Hinte eratethi ixida gisho, taka hinte taw kahine gidonna mela ixas. Hinte Xoossaa higgiya dogida gisho, taka hinte nayta dogana.My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you as My priests. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.

7Kahineta tayboy dari dari biya wode tana guji guji naaqidosona; taani enta bonchuwa qaarada yeellayana.The more they multiplied, the more they sinned against Me; they exchanged their Glory for a thing of disgrace.

8Ta asaa nagaray entaw kathi gidida gisho enti ta asay balaba oothana mela koyoosona.They feed on the sins of My people and set their hearts on iniquity.

9Kahineti deriyape dummatibokona. Taani enta hanota gisho, enta seerana; enta oosuwada entaw zaarana.And it shall be like people, like priest. I will punish both of them for their ways and repay them for their deeds.

10Enti Godaa aggida gisho maana, shin kallokona; laymatana, shin na7a yelokona.They will eat but not be satisfied; they will be promiscuous but not multiply. For they have abandoned the LORD to give themselves

11Laymatethi, gam7ida woyne ushshinne mal7anto woyne ushshi ta asaa wozanaa dhaysis.to promiscuity, wine, and new wine, which take away understanding.

12Enti mithafe oosetida eeqa misile zore oychoosona; enta xam7ay enta oysha zaarees. Laymatetha ayyaanay enta balethis; enti banta Xoossaafe haakidi laymatidosona.My people consult their wooden idols, and their divining rods inform them. For a spirit of prostitution leads them astray and they have played the harlot against their God.

13Dereta huuphen yarsho yarshoosona; lo77o kuyay de7iya wolaa garsan, xiidda garsan ixaane cuyisoosona. Hessa gisho, hinte macca nayti laymatoosona; hinte nayta macheti laammoosona.They sacrifice on the mountaintops and burn offerings on the hills, under oak, poplar, and terebinth, because their shade is pleasant. And so your daughters turn to prostitution and your daughters-in-law to adultery.

14Hinte macca nayti laymatiya wodenne hinte nayta macheti laammiya wode taani seerike. Ayis giiko, addeti banta huuphen laymateysatara laggetoosona; entara yarshoosona. Hessa gisho, akeeki bayna derey dhayana.I will not punish your daughters when they prostitute themselves, nor your daughters-in-law when they commit adultery. For the men themselves go off with prostitutes and offer sacrifices with shrine prostitutes. So a people without understanding will come to ruin.

15“Isra7eele asato, hinte laymatikoka, Yihuda asay hinteysada bala gidopo. Galgala boopite; Beet-Aweena (Iitatetha keethi) keyopite; ‘De7o Xoossay eriya mela’ gidi caaqofite.Though you prostitute yourself, O Israel, may Judah avoid such guilt! Do not journey to Gilgal, do not go up to Beth-aven, and do not swear on oath, ‘As surely as the LORD lives!’

19Enta carkoy efana; banta eeqas yarshida yarshota gaason enti yeellatana.”The whirlwind has wrapped them in its wings, and their sacrifices will bring them shame.
