2. 2LXXκαὶ σύ, υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου, τί ἂν γένοιτο τὸ ξύλον τῆς ἀμπέλου ἐκ πάντων τῶν ξύλων τῶν κλημάτων τῶν ὄντων ἐν τοῖς ξύλοις τοῦ δρυμοῦ;BSBBSB: “Son of man, how does the wood of the vine surpass any other branch among the trees in the forest?

4. 4LXXπάρεξ πυρὶ δέδοται εἰς ἀνάλωσιν, τὴν κατ᾿ ἐνιαυτὸν κάθαρσιν ἀπ᾿ αὐτῆς ἀναλίσκει τὸ πῦρ, καὶ ἐκλείπει εἰς τέλος· μὴ χρήσιμον ἔσται εἰς ἐργασίαν;BSBBSB: No, it is cast into the fire for fuel. The fire devours both ends, and the middle is charred. Can it be useful for anything?
5. 5LXXοὐδὲ ἔτι αὐτοῦ ὄντος ὁλοκλήρου οὐκ ἔσται εἰς ἐργασίαν. μὴ ὅτι ἐὰν καὶ πῦρ αὐτὸ ἀναλώσῃ εἰς τέλος, εἰ ἔτι ἔσται εἰς ἐργασίαν;BSBBSB: Even when it was whole, it could not be made useful. How much less can it ever be useful when the fire has consumed it and charred it!
6. 6LXXδιὰ τοῦτο εἰπόν· τάδε λέγει Κύριος· ὃν τρόπον τὸ ξύλον τῆς ἀμπέλου ἐν τοῖς ξύλοις τοῦ δρυμοῦ, ὃ δέδωκα αὐτὸ πυρὶ εἰς ἀνάλωσιν, οὕτως δέδωκα τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Ἱερουσαλήμ.BSBBSB: Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Like the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so I will give up the people of Jerusalem.
7. 7LXXκαὶ δώσω τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ἐπ᾿ αὐτούς· ἐκ τοῦ πυρὸς ἐξελεύσονται, καὶ πῦρ αὐτοὺς καταφάγεται, καὶ ἐπιγνώσονται ὅτι ἐγὼ Κύριος ἐν τῷ στηρίσαι με τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ἐπ᾿ αὐτούς.BSBBSB: And I will set My face against them. Though they may have escaped the fire, yet another fire will consume them. And when I set My face against them, you will know that I am the LORD.
8. 8LXXκαὶ δώσω τὴν γῆν εἰς ἀφανισμόν, ἀνθ᾿ ὧν παρέπεσον παραπτώματι, λέγει Κύριος.BSBBSB: Thus I will make the land desolate, because they have acted unfaithfully,’ declares the Lord GOD.”
