1. 1LXXΩ ἡ ἐπιφανὴς καὶ ἀπολελυτρωμένη, ἡ πόλις ἡ περιστερά·BSBBSB: Woe to the city of oppressors, rebellious and defiled!
2. 2LXXοὐκ εἰσήκουσε φωνῆς, οὐκ ἐδέξατο παιδείαν, ἐπὶ τῷ Κυρίῳ οὐκ ἐπεποίθει καὶ πρὸς τὸν Θεὸν αὐτῆς οὐκ ἤγγισεν.BSBBSB: She heeded no voice; she accepted no correction. She does not trust in the LORD; she has not drawn near to her God.
3. 3LXXοἱ ἄρχοντες αὐτῆς ἐν αὐτῇ ὡς λέοντες ὠρυόμενοι· οἱ κριταὶ αὐτῆς ὡς λύκοι τῆς Ἀραβίας, οὐχ ὑπελίποντο εἰς τὸ πρωΐ·BSBBSB: Her princes are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves, leaving nothing for the morning.
4. 4LXXοἱ προφῆται αὐτῆς πνευματοφόροι, ἄνδρες καταφρονηταί· ἱερεῖς αὐτῆς βεβηλοῦσι τὰ ἅγια καὶ ἀσεβοῦσι νόμον·BSBBSB: Her prophets are reckless, faithless men. Her priests profane the sanctuary; they do violence to the law.
5. 5LXXὁ δὲ Κύριος δίκαιος ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς καὶ οὐ μὴ ποιήσῃ ἄδικον· πρωΐ πρωΐ δώσει κρίμα αὐτοῦ εἰς φῶς καὶ οὐκ ἀπεκρύβη καὶ οὐκ ἔγνω ἀδικίαν ἐν ἀπαιτήσει καὶ οὐκ εἰς νεῖκος ἀδικίαν.BSBBSB: The LORD within her is righteous; He does no wrong. He applies His justice morning by morning; He does not fail at dawn, yet the unjust know no shame.
6. 6LXXἐν διαφθορᾷ κατέσπασα ὑπερηφάνους, ἠφανίσθησαν γωνίαι αὐτῶν· ἐξερημώσω τὰς ὁδοὺς αὐτῶν τὸ παράπαν τοῦ μὴ διοδεύειν· ἐξέλιπον αἱ πόλεις αὐτῶν παρὰ τὸ μηδένα ὑπάρχειν μηδὲ κατοικεῖν.BSBBSB: “I have cut off the nations; their corner towers are destroyed. I have made their streets deserted with no one to pass through. Their cities are laid waste, with no man, no inhabitant.
7. 7LXXεἶπα· πλὴν φοβεῖσθέ με καὶ δέξασθε παιδείαν, καὶ οὐ μὴ ἐξολοθρευθῆτε ἐξ ὀφθαλμῶν αὐτῆς, πάντα ὅσα ἐξεδίκησα ἐπ᾿ αὐτήν· ἑτοιμάζου, ὄρθρισον, ἔφθαρται πᾶσα ἡ ἐπιφυλλὶς αὐτῶν.BSBBSB: I said, ‘Surely you will fear Me and accept correction.’ Then her dwelling place would not be cut off despite all for which I punished her. But they rose early to corrupt all their deeds.
8. 8LXXΔιὰ τοῦτο ὑπόμεινόν με, λέγει Κύριος, εἰς ἡμέραν ἀναστάσεώς μου εἰς μαρτύριον· διότι τὸ κρίμα μου εἰς συναγωγὰς ἐθνῶν τοῦ εἰσδέξασθαι βασιλεῖς, τοῦ ἐκχέαι ἐπ᾿ αὐτοὺς πᾶσαν ὀργὴν θυμοῦ μου· διότι ἐν πυρὶ ζήλου μου καταναλωθήσεται πᾶσα ἡ γῆ.BSBBSB: Therefore wait for Me,” declares the LORD, “until the day I rise to testify. For My decision is to gather nations, to assemble kingdoms, to pour out upon them My indignation—all My burning anger. For all the earth will be consumed by the fire of My jealousy.
9. 9LXXὅτι τότε μεταστρέψω ἐπὶ λαοὺς γλῶσσαν εἰς γενεὰν αὐτῆς τοῦ ἐπικαλεῖσθαι πάντας τὸ ὄνομα Κυρίου τοῦ δουλεύειν αὐτῷ ὑπὸ ζυγὸν ἕνα.BSBBSB: For then I will restore pure lips to the peoples, that all may call upon the name of the LORD and serve Him shoulder to shoulder.
10. 10LXXἐκ περάτων ποταμῶν Αἰθιοπίας προσδέξομαι ἐν διεσπαρμένοις μου, οἴσουσι θυσίας μοι.BSBBSB: From beyond the rivers of Cush My worshipers, My scattered people, will bring Me an offering.
11. 11LXXἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ οὐ μὴ καταισχυνθῇς ἐκ πάντων τῶν ἐπιτηδευμάτων σου, ὧν ἠσέβησας εἰς ἐμέ· ὅτι τότε περιελῶ ἀπὸ σοῦ τὰ φαυλίσματα τῆς ὕβρεώς σου, καὶ οὐκέτι μὴ προσθῇς τοῦ μεγαλαυχῆσαι ἐπὶ τὸ ὄρος τὸ ἅγιόν μου.BSBBSB: On that day you will not be put to shame for any of the deeds by which you have transgressed against Me. For then I will remove from among you those who rejoice in their pride, and you will never again be haughty on My holy mountain.
12. 12LXXκαὶ ὑπολείψομαι ἐν σοὶ λαὸν πρᾳυ±ν καὶ ταπεινόν, καὶ εὐλαβηθήσονται ἀπὸ τοῦ ὀνόματος ΚυρίουBSBBSB: But I will leave within you a meek and humble people, and they will trust in the name of the LORD.
13. 13LXXοἱ κατάλοιποι τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ καὶ οὐ ποιήσουσιν ἀδικίαν καὶ οὐ λαλήσουσι μάταια, καὶ οὐ μὴ εὑρεθῇ ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτῶν γλῶσσα δολία, διότι αὐτοὶ νεμήσονται καὶ κοιτασθήσονται, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ ἐκφοβῶν αὐτούς.BSBBSB: The remnant of Israel will no longer do wrong or speak lies, nor will a deceitful tongue be found in their mouths. But they will feed and lie down, with no one to make them tremble.”
14. 14LXXΧαῖρε σφόδρα, θύγατερ Σιών, κήρυσσε, θύγατερ Ἱερουσαλήμ· εὐφραίνου καὶ κατατέρπου ἐξ ὅλης τῆς καρδίας σου, θύγατερ Ἱερουσαλήμ.BSBBSB: Sing for joy, O Daughter of Zion; shout aloud, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O Daughter of Jerusalem!
15. 15LXXπεριεῖλε Κύριος τὰ ἀδικήματά σου, λελύτρωταί σε ἐκ χειρὸς ἐχθρῶν σου· βασιλεὺς Ἰσραὴλ Κύριος ἐν μέσῳ σου, οὐκ ὄψῃ κακὰ οὐκέτι.BSBBSB: The LORD has taken away your punishment; He has turned back your enemy. Israel’s King, the LORD, is among you; no longer will you fear any harm.
16. 16LXXἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ ἐρεῖ Κύριος τῇ Ἱερουσαλήμ· θάρσει, Σιών, μὴ παρείσθωσαν αἱ χεῖρές σου·BSBBSB: On that day they will say to Jerusalem: “Do not fear, O Zion; do not let your hands fall limp.
17. 17LXXΚύριος ὁ Θεός σου ἐν σοί, δύνατὸς σώσει σε, ἐπάξει ἐπὶ σὲ εὐφροσύνην καὶ καινιεῖ σε ἐν τῇ ἀγαπήσει αὐτοῦ καὶ εὐφρανθήσεται ἐπὶ σὲ ἐν τέρψει ὡς ἐν ἡμέρᾳ ἑορτῆς.BSBBSB: The LORD your God is among you; He is mighty to save. He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you with His love; He will rejoice over you with singing.”
18. 18LXXκαὶ συνάξω τοὺς συντετριμμένους σου. οὐαί, τίς ἔλαβεν ἐπ᾿ αὐτὴν ὀνειδισμόν;BSBBSB: “I will gather those among you who grieve over the appointed feasts, so that you will no longer suffer reproach.
19. 19LXXἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ποιῶ ἐν σοὶ ἕνεκέν σου ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ, λέγει Κύριος, καὶ σώσω τὴν ἐκπεπιεσμένην, καὶ τὴν ἀπωσμένην εἰσδέξομαι, καὶ θήσομαι αὐτοὺς εἰς καύχημα καὶ ὀνομαστοὺς ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ.BSBBSB: Behold, at that time, I will deal with all who afflict you. I will save the lame and gather the scattered; and I will appoint praise and fame for the disgraced throughout the earth.
20. 20LXXκαὶ καταισχυνθήσονται ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ, ὅταν καλῶς ὑμῖν ποιήσω, καὶ ἐν τῷ καιρῷ, ὅταν εἰσδέξωμαι ὑμᾶς· διότι δώσω ὑμᾶς ὀνομαστοὺς καὶ εἰς καύχημα ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς λαοῖς τῆς γῆς ἐν τῷ ἐπιστρέφειν με τήν αἰχμαλωσίαν ὑμῶν ἐνώπιον ὑμῶν, λέγει Κύριος.BSBBSB: At that time I will bring you in; yes, at that time I will gather you. For I will give you fame and praise among all the peoples of the earth when I restore your captives before your very eyes,” says the LORD.
