2 STV Ἴδε ἐγὼ Παῦλος λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ἐὰν περιτέμνησθε Χριστὸς ὑμᾶς οὐδὲν ὠφελήσει BSB BSB: Take notice: I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all.
3 STV μαρτύρομαι δὲ πάλιν παντὶ ἀνθρώπῳ περιτεμνομένῳ ὅτι ὀφειλέτης ἐστὶν ὅλον τὸν νόμον ποιῆσαι BSB BSB: Again I testify to every man who gets himself circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law.
4 STV κατηργήθητε ἀπὸ τοῦ Χριστοῦ οἵτινες ἐν νόμῳ δικαιοῦσθε τῆς χάριτος ἐξεπέσατε BSB BSB: You who are trying to be justified by the law have been severed from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
5 STV ἡμεῖς γὰρ πνεύματι ἐκ πίστεως ἐλπίδα δικαιοσύνης ἀπεκδεχόμεθα BSB BSB: But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the hope of righteousness.
7 STV Ἐτρέχετε καλῶς· τίς ὑμᾶς ἀνέκοψεν τῇ ἀληθείᾳ μὴ πείθεσθαι BSB BSB: You were running so well. Who has obstructed you from obeying the truth?
8 STV ἡ πεισμονὴ οὐκ ἐκ τοῦ καλοῦντος ὑμᾶς BSB BSB: Such persuasion does not come from the One who calls you.
9 STV μικρὰ ζύμη ὅλον τὸ φύραμα ζυμοῖ BSB BSB: A little leaven works through the whole batch of dough.
10 STV ἐγὼ πέποιθα εἰς ὑμᾶς ἐν κυρίῳ ὅτι οὐδὲν ἄλλο φρονήσετε· ὁ δὲ ταράσσων ὑμᾶς βαστάσει τὸ κρίμα ὅστις ἂν ᾖ BSB BSB: I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is troubling you will bear the judgment, whoever he may be.
11 STV ἐγὼ δέ ἀδελφοί εἰ περιτομὴν ἔτι κηρύσσω τί ἔτι διώκομαι ἄρα κατήργηται τὸ σκάνδαλον τοῦ σταυροῦ BSB BSB: Now, brothers, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished.
12 STV ὄφελον καὶ ἀποκόψονται οἱ ἀναστατοῦντες ὑμᾶς BSB BSB: As for those who are agitating you, I wish they would proceed to emasculate themselves!
13 STV Ὑμεῖς γὰρ ἐπ’ ἐλευθερίᾳ ἐκλήθητε ἀδελφοί· μόνον μὴ τὴν ἐλευθερίαν εἰς ἀφορμὴν τῇ σαρκί ἀλλὰ διὰ τῆς ἀγάπης δουλεύετε ἀλλήλοις BSB BSB: For you, brothers, were called to freedom; but do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh. Rather, serve one another in love.
14 STV ὁ γὰρ πᾶς νόμος ἐν ἑνὶ λόγῳ πληροῦται, ἐν τῷ· Ἀγαπήσεις τὸν πλησίον σου ὡς εαυτόν BSB BSB: The entire law is fulfilled in a single decree: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
15 STV εἰ δὲ ἀλλήλους δάκνετε καὶ κατεσθίετε βλέπετε μὴ ὑπό ἀλλήλων ἀναλωθῆτε BSB BSB: But if you keep on biting and devouring one another, watch out, or you will be consumed by one another.
16 STV Λέγω δέ πνεύματι περιπατεῖτε καὶ ἐπιθυμίαν σαρκὸς οὐ μὴ τελέσητε BSB BSB: So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
17 STV ἡ γὰρ σὰρξ ἐπιθυμεῖ κατὰ τοῦ πνεύματος τὸ δὲ πνεῦμα κατὰ τῆς σαρκός ταῦτα δὲ ἀντίκειται ἀλλήλοις ἵνα μὴ ἃ ἂν θέλητε ταῦτα ποιῆτε BSB BSB: For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other, so that you do not do what you want.
18 STV εἰ δὲ πνεύματι ἄγεσθε οὐκ ἐστὲ ὑπὸ νόμον BSB BSB: But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 STV φανερὰ δέ ἐστιν τὰ ἔργα τῆς σαρκός ἅτινά ἐστιν μοιχεία, πορνεία ἀκαθαρσία ἀσέλγεια BSB BSB: The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery;
20 STV εἰδωλολατρεία φαρμακεία ἔχθραι ἔρεις, ζῆλοι, θυμοί ἐριθείαι διχοστασίαι αἱρέσεις BSB BSB: idolatry and sorcery; hatred, discord, jealousy, and rage; rivalries, divisions, factions,
21 STV φθόνοι φόνοι, μέθαι κῶμοι καὶ τὰ ὅμοια τούτοις ἃ προλέγω ὑμῖν καθὼς καὶ προεῖπον ὅτι οἱ τὰ τοιαῦτα πράσσοντες βασιλείαν θεοῦ οὐ κληρονομήσουσιν BSB BSB: and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 STV Ὁ δὲ καρπὸς τοῦ πνεύματός ἐστιν ἀγάπη χαρά εἰρήνη μακροθυμία χρηστότης ἀγαθωσύνη πίστις BSB BSB: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 STV πρᾳότης, ἐγκράτεια· κατὰ τῶν τοιούτων οὐκ ἔστιν νόμος BSB BSB: gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
24 STV οἱ δὲ τοῦ Χριστοῦ τὴν σάρκα ἐσταύρωσαν σὺν τοῖς παθήμασιν καὶ ταῖς ἐπιθυμίαις BSB BSB: Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
25 STV εἰ ζῶμεν πνεύματι πνεύματι καὶ στοιχῶμεν BSB BSB: Since we live by the Spirit, let us walk in step with the Spirit.
26 STV μὴ γινώμεθα κενόδοξοι ἀλλήλους προκαλούμενοι ἀλλήλοις φθονοῦντες BSB BSB: Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying one another.
