1. 1STVΣὺ δὲ λάλει ἃ πρέπει τῇ ὑγιαινούσῃ διδασκαλίᾳBSBBSB: But as for you, speak the things that are consistent with sound doctrine.
2. 2STVπρεσβύτας νηφαλίους εἶναι σεμνούς σώφρονας ὑγιαίνοντας τῇ πίστει τῇ ἀγάπῃ τῇ ὑπομονῇ·BSBBSB: Older men are to be temperate, dignified, self-controlled, and sound in faith, love, and perseverance.
3. 3STVπρεσβύτιδας ὡσαύτως ἐν καταστήματι ἱεροπρεπεῖς μὴ διαβόλους μὴ οἴνῳ πολλῷ δεδουλωμένας καλοδιδασκάλουςBSBBSB: Older women, likewise, are to be reverent in their behavior, not slanderers or addicted to much wine, but teachers of good.
4. 4STVἵνα σωφρονίζωσιν τὰς νέας φιλάνδρους εἶναι φιλοτέκνουςBSBBSB: In this way they can train the young women to love their husbands and children,
5. 5STVσώφρονας ἁγνάς οἰκουρούς ἀγαθάς ὑποτασσομένας τοῖς ἰδίοις ἀνδράσιν ἵνα μὴ ὁ λόγος τοῦ θεοῦ βλασφημῆταιBSBBSB: to be self-controlled, pure, managers of their households, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be discredited.

8. 8STVλόγον ὑγιῆ ἀκατάγνωστον ἵνα ὁ ἐξ ἐναντίας ἐντραπῇ μηδὲν ἔχων περὶ ὑμῶν λέγειν φαῦλονBSBBSB: and wholesome speech that is above reproach, so that anyone who opposes us will be ashamed, having nothing bad to say about us.

10. 10STVμὴ νοσφιζομένους ἀλλὰ πίστιν πᾶσαν ἐνδεικνυμένους ἀγαθήν ἵνα τὴν διδασκαλίαν τοῦ σωτῆρος ὑμῶν θεοῦ κοσμῶσιν ἐν πᾶσινBSBBSB: not stealing from them, but showing all good faith, so that in every respect they will adorn the teaching about God our Savior.
11. 11STVἘπεφάνη γὰρ ἡ χάρις τοῦ θεοῦ ἡ σωτήριος πᾶσιν ἀνθρώποιςBSBBSB: For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to everyone.
12. 12STVπαιδεύουσα ἡμᾶς ἵνα ἀρνησάμενοι τὴν ἀσέβειαν καὶ τὰς κοσμικὰς ἐπιθυμίας σωφρόνως καὶ δικαίως καὶ εὐσεβῶς ζήσωμεν ἐν τῷ νῦν αἰῶνιBSBBSB: It instructs us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives in the present age,
13. 13STVπροσδεχόμενοι τὴν μακαρίαν ἐλπίδα καὶ ἐπιφάνειαν τῆς δόξης τοῦ μεγάλου θεοῦ καὶ σωτῆρος ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ ΧριστοῦBSBBSB: as we await the blessed hope and glorious appearance of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.
14. 14STVὃς ἔδωκεν ἑαυτὸν ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν ἵνα λυτρώσηται ἡμᾶς ἀπὸ πάσης ἀνομίας καὶ καθαρίσῃ ἑαυτῷ λαὸν περιούσιον ζηλωτὴν καλῶν ἔργωνBSBBSB: He gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.
15. 15STVΤαῦτα λάλει καὶ παρακάλει καὶ ἔλεγχε μετὰ πάσης ἐπιταγῆς· μηδείς σου περιφρονείτωBSBBSB: Speak these things as you encourage and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.
