2 ULB પછી તેણે મોઆબીઓને હરાવ્યા અને તેઓના માણસોને ભૂમિ પર સુવાડીને દોરીથી માપ્યા. તેણે મારી નાખવા માટે બે દોરીઓ જેટલા માપ્યા અને જીવતા રાખવા માટે એક આખી દોરી જેટલા માપ્યા. તેથી મોઆબીઓ દાઉદના ચાકરો થઈ તેને ખંડણી આપતા થયા. BSB BSB: David also defeated the Moabites, made them lie down on the ground, and measured them off with a cord. He measured off with two lengths those to be put to death, and with one length those to be spared. So the Moabites became subject to David and brought him tribute.
3 ULB પછી દાઉદે રહોબનો દીકરો સોબાહનો રાજા હતો તેને એટલે કે હદાદેઝેર જયારે તે ફ્રાત નદી પાસે પોતાનું રાજય પાછું મેળવવા માટે પાછો જતો હતો ત્યારે તેને હરાવ્યો. BSB BSB: David also defeated Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah, who had marched out to restore his dominion along the Euphrates River.
4 ULB દાઉદે તેની પાસેથી એક હજાર રથો સાતસો સવારો અને ભૂમિદળના વીસ હજાર સૈનિકો લીધા. દાઉદે રથના સર્વ ઘોડાઓની નસો કાપી નાખી, પણ તેમાંના સો રથોને જરૂરી ઘોડાઓને જીવતા રાખ્યા. BSB BSB: David captured from him a thousand chariots, seven thousand charioteers, and twenty thousand foot soldiers, and he hamstrung all the horses except a hundred he kept for the chariots.
5 ULB જયારે દમસ્કસના અરામીઓ સોબાહના રાજા હદાદેઝેરને મદદ કરવા માટે આવ્યા, ત્યારે દાઉદે અરામીઓમાંના બાવીસ હજાર માણસોને મારી નાખ્યા. BSB BSB: When the Arameans of Damascus came to help King Hadadezer of Zobah, David struck down twenty-two thousand of their men.
6 ULB પછી દાઉદે દમસ્કસના અરામમાં લશ્કર ગોઠવ્યું. પછી અરામીઓ તેના દાસ થયા અને ખંડણી ચૂકવવા લાગ્યા. દાઉદ જયાં જયાં ગયો ત્યાં ઈશ્વરે તેને વિજય અપાવ્યો. BSB BSB: Then he placed garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and the Arameans became subject to David and brought him tribute. So the LORD made David victorious wherever he went.
7 ULB હદાદેઝેરના અધિકારીઓ પાસે સોનાની ઢાલો હતી તે લઈને દાઉદ તેમને યરુશાલેમમાં લાવ્યો. BSB BSB: And David took the gold shields that belonged to the officers of Hadadezer and brought them to Jerusalem.
8 ULB હદાદેઝેરનાં બેતા અને બેરોથાય નગરોમાંથી દાઉદ રાજાએ પુષ્કળ કાંસું લીધું. BSB BSB: And from Betah and Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, King David took a large amount of bronze.
9 ULB જયારે હમાથના રાજા ટોઈએ, સાંભળ્યું કે દાઉદે હદાદેઝેરના બધાં સૈન્યનો પરાજય કર્યો છે, BSB BSB: When King Toi of Hamath heard that David had defeated the entire army of Hadadezer,
10 ULB ત્યારે ટોઈએ પોતાના દીકરા યોરામને દાઉદ રાજા પાસે તેને બિરદાવવા અને આશીર્વાદ આપવા મોકલ્યો, કારણ કે દાઉદે હદાદેઝેરની વિરુદ્ધ લડાઈ કરીને તેને હરાવ્યો હતો, યોરામ પોતાની સાથે ચાંદીના, સોનાનાં અને કાંસાનાં પાત્રો લઈને આવ્યો હતો. BSB BSB: he sent his son Joram to greet King David and bless him for fighting and defeating Hadadezer, who had been at war with Toi. Joram brought with him articles of silver and gold and bronze,
11 ULB દાઉદ રાજાએ આ પાત્રો ઈશ્વરને સમર્પિત કર્યાં. ને તેની સાથે જે દેશો તેણે જીત્યા હતા તે સર્વનું સોનું તથા ચાંદી તેણે અર્પણ કર્યું, BSB BSB: and King David dedicated these to the LORD, along with the silver and gold he had dedicated from all the nations he had subdued—
12 ULB એટલે અરામનું, મોઆબનું, આમ્મોનપુત્રોનું, પલિસ્તીઓનું, અમાલેકનું, સોબાહના રાજા રહોબના દીકરા હદાદેઝેરે લૂંટી લીધેલું સોનું પણ ઈશ્વરને અર્પિત કર્યું. BSB BSB: from Edom and Moab, from the Ammonites and Philistines and Amalekites, and from the spoil of Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
13 ULB દાઉદ મીઠાની ખીણમાં અઢાર હજાર અરામી માણસોને મારીને પાછો આવ્યો ત્યારે તેનું નામ પ્રખ્યાત થયું. BSB BSB: And David made a name for himself when he returned from striking down eighteen thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt.
15 ULB દાઉદે સર્વ ઇઝરાયલ પર રાજ કર્યું હતું. પોતાના સર્વ લોકોનો ન્યાય કરતો હતો. અને વહીવટ કરતો હતો. BSB BSB: Thus David reigned over all Israel and administered justice and righteousness for all his people:
16 ULB સરુયાનો દીકરો યોઆબ સૈન્યનો સેનાપતિ હતો. અને અહીલૂદનો દીકરો યહોશાફાટ ઇતિહાસકાર હતો. BSB BSB: Joab son of Zeruiah was over the army; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud was the recorder;
17 ULB અહિટૂબનો દીકરો સાદોક અને અબ્યાથારનો દીકરો અહીમેલેખ યાજકો હતા અને સરુયા સચિવ હતો. BSB BSB: Zadok son of Ahitub and Ahimelech son of Abiathar were priests; Seraiah was the scribe;
18 ULB યહોયાદાનો દીકરો બનાયા કરેથીઓનો અને પલેથીઓનો ઉપરી હતો અને દાઉદના દીકરાઓ રાજાના મુખ્ય સલાહકાર હતા. BSB BSB: Benaiah son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and Pelethites; and David’s sons were priestly leaders.
