2 ULB આ માણસો બહુ ગુસ્સામાં હતા કારણ કે, બે પ્રેરિતો લોકોને ઈસુ સંબંધી શીખવતા હતા.તેઓ લોકોને જે કહી રહ્યા હતા તે એ કે, ઈસુને મારી નંખાયા પછી ઈશ્વરે તેમને સજીવન કર્યા. BSB BSB: greatly disturbed that they were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead.
3 ULB તેથી એ માણસોએ પિતર તથા યોહાનને પકડીને જેલમાં પૂર્યા.યહૂદી ન્યાયસભાને પિતર અને યોહાનની તપાસ કરવા માટે બીજા દિવસ સુધી રાહ જોવી પડી, કારણ કે, સાંજ પડી ગઈ હતી. BSB BSB: They seized Peter and John, and because it was evening, they put them in custody until the next day.
4 ULB તો પણ ઘણા લોકો જેઓએ પિતરને બોલતા સાંભળ્યો તેઓએ ઈસુ પર વિશ્વાસ કર્યો. જેઓએ ઈસુ પર વિશ્વાસ કર્યો તેઓની સંખ્યા પાંચ હજાર સુધી વધી. BSB BSB: But many who heard the message believed, and the number of men grew to about five thousand.
5 ULB બીજે દિવસે અધિકારીઓ, વડીલો, યહૂદી કાયદા જાણનાર શિક્ષકોને, અને યહૂદી ન્યાયસભાના અન્ય સભ્યોને બોલાવ્યા, અને તેઓને યરુશાલેમમાં એક જગ્યાએ ભેગા કર્યા. BSB BSB: The next day the rulers, elders, and scribes assembled in Jerusalem,

10 ULB નાસરેથના ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્તનાં નામે આ માણસ સાજો થયો છે, તેથી જ તે અત્યારે તમારી સમક્ષ ઊભો રહેવા સમર્થ થયો છે. તમે ઈસુને વધસ્તંભ ઉપર જડ્યાં અને મારી નાખ્યા છે, પણ ઈશ્વરે તેમને સજીવન કર્યા છે. BSB BSB: then let this be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.
11 ULB નાસરેથના ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્તનાં સંબંધમાં શાસ્ત્ર આ પ્રમાણે કહે છે:” જે પથ્થરને બાંધનારાઓએ ફેંકી દીધો તે મકાનનો મુખ્ય પથ્થર બન્યો છે.” BSB BSB: This Jesus is ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’
13 ULB યહૂદી આગેવાનોને ખાતરી થઈ કે પિતર અને યોહાન તેમનાથી ગભરાતા નહોતા.તેઓને એ પણ ખબર પડી કે આ બંને સાધારણ માણસો હતા જેઓ કોઈ શાળામાં શીખેલા નહોતા. તેથી આગેવાનો આશ્ચર્ય પામ્યા. તેઓએ જાણ્યું કે તેઓએ ઈસુની સાથે સમય ગાળ્યો હતો. BSB BSB: When they saw the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they marveled and took note that these men had been with Jesus.
14 ULB તેઓએ એ પણ જોયું કે જે માણસને સાજો કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો તે પિતર અને યોહાનની સાથે ઊભો હતો, તેથી તેઓ તેમની વિરુદ્ધ કઈ બોલી શકે તેમ નહોતા. BSB BSB: And seeing the man who had been healed standing there with them, they had nothing to say in response.
15 ULB યહૂદી આગેવાનોએ રક્ષકોને પિતર, યોહાન, અને સાજા થએલાં માણસને બેઠક ખંડ જ્યાં તેઓ સભા માટે મળ્યા હતા ત્યાંથી બહાર લઈ જવા જણાવ્યું. તેઓએ એ પ્રમાણે કર્યા પછી આગેવાનોએ પિતર અને યોહાન સંબંધી એકબીજા સાથે વાત કરી. BSB BSB: So they ordered them to leave the Sanhedrin and then conferred together.
16 ULB તેઓએ કહ્યું,” આ બંને માણસોને આપણે સજા કરી શકીએ એવી કોઈ બાબત નથી! યરુશાલેમમાં રહેનારા દરેક જણ જાણે છે કે તેઓએ અદ્ભુત ચમત્કાર કર્યો છે, તેથી એવું કઈ બન્યું નથી તેમ આપણાથી કહી શકાય તેમ નથી! BSB BSB: “What shall we do with these men?” they asked. “It is clear to everyone living in Jerusalem that a remarkable miracle has occurred through them, and we cannot deny it.
17 ULB તો પણ, તેઓ ઈસુ વિષે બીજા લોકોને જે શીખવે છે તે આપણે ચલાવી શકીએ નહિ. તેથી આપણે આ માણસોને કહેવું જોઈએ કે, જો તેઓ બીજાને આ માણસ કે જેના વિષે તેઓ જણાવે છે કે તેણે આ માણસને સાજો કરવાની શક્તિ આપી, તેના સંબંધી શીખવવાનું ચાલુ રાખશે તો અમે તેમને શિક્ષા કરીશું.” BSB BSB: But to keep this message from spreading any further among the people, we must warn them not to speak to anyone in this name.”
18 ULB તેથી યહૂદી આગેવાનોએ રક્ષકોને તે બંને પ્રેરિતોને પાછા ખંડમાં લાવવા કહ્યું. રક્ષકોએ એમ કર્યા પછી, તેઓએ તે બન્નેને જણાવ્યું કે તેઓએ હવેથી કોઈને પણ ઈસુ વિષે કહેવું કે શીખવવું નહિ. BSB BSB: Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.
19 ULB પણ પિતર અને યોહાને કહ્યું,” શું ઈશ્વર એ યોગ્ય માનશે કે અમે તમારું માનીએ અને તેમનું નહિ? શું યોગ્ય છે તે અમે તમને જ નક્કી કરવા દઈએ. BSB BSB: But Peter and John replied, “Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God’s sight to listen to you rather than God.
20 ULB પણ અમે તો, તમારું માની શકીએ તેમ નથી. ઈસુએ જે કર્યું અને શીખવ્યું તે સંબંધી લોકોને કહેવાથી અમે અટકી શકતા નથી.” BSB BSB: For we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.”
21 ULB પછી યહૂદી આગેવાનોએ ફરીથી પિતર અને યોહાનને તેમની આજ્ઞાનું ઉલ્લંઘન ન કરવા જણાવ્યું, પણ તેઓએ તેમને શિક્ષા કરવી નહિ એવું નક્કી કર્યુ, કારણ કે યરુશાલેમના સર્વ લોકો અપંગ માણસના સંબંધમાં જે બન્યું તેને લીધે ઈશ્વરની સ્તુતિ કરતા હતા. BSB BSB: After further threats they let them go. They could not find a way to punish them, because all the people were glorifying God for what had happened.
22 ULB તે ચાલીસ કરતા વધારે વર્ષનો હતો, અને તે જન્મ્યો ત્યારથી ચાલી શકતો ન હતો. BSB BSB: For the man who was miraculously healed was over forty years old.
23 ULB ન્યાયસભામાંથી નીકળ્યા પછી, પિતર અને યોહાન અન્ય વિશ્વાસીઓની પાસે ગયા અને મુખ્ય યાજકો તેમ જ વડીલોએ જે તેમને કહ્યું હતું તે કહી સંભળાવ્યું. BSB BSB: On their release, Peter and John returned to their own people and reported everything that the chief priests and elders had said to them.
24 ULB જયારે વિશ્વાસીઓએ આ સાંભળ્યું, ત્યારે તેઓએ એક મતે પ્રભુને પ્રાર્થના કરી કે,” ઓ પ્રભુ! તમે આકાશ, પૃથ્વી અને સમુદ્ર, તથા તેમાં જે છે તે દરેકના બનાવનાર છો. BSB BSB: When the believers heard this, they lifted up their voices to God with one accord. “Sovereign Lord,” they said, “You made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything in them.
25 ULB પવિત્ર આત્માએ અમારા પૂર્વજ દાઉદ, જે તમારો સેવક હતો, તેના દ્વારા આ શબ્દો લખાવ્યા: ‘શા માટે દુનિયાના લોકજૂથો ગુસ્સામાં છે, અને ઇઝરાયલી લોકો ઈશ્વર વિરુદ્ધ વ્યર્થ યોજનાઓ કરે છે? BSB BSB: You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of Your servant, our father David: ‘Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?

29 ULB “તેથી હવે, હે પ્રભુ, અમને તેઓ કેવી રીતે શિક્ષા કરશે તેના સંબંધી તેઓ જે કહે છે તે તમે સાંભળો! દરેક ઈસુની વાત કહેવા દ્વારા તમારી સેવા કરવા અમારી મદદ કરો! BSB BSB: And now, Lord, consider their threats, and enable Your servants to speak Your word with complete boldness,
30 ULB તમારા પવિત્ર સેવક ઈસુના નામમાં સાજાપણાંના મોટા ચમત્કારો, ચિહ્નો, અને અદ્ભુત કાર્યો કરવા તમારું પરાક્રમ દેખાડો!” BSB BSB: as You stretch out Your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of Your holy servant Jesus.”
31 ULB જયારે વિશ્વાસીઓએ પ્રાર્થના કરવાનું પૂરું કર્યું, ત્યારે જ્યાં તેઓ એકઠા થયા હતા તે જગ્યા ધ્રુજી. પવિત્ર આત્માએ જેમ તેમને શક્તિ આપી તેમ તેઓ હિંમતથી ઈશ્વરે તેમને કહેલા વચનો બોલવા લાગ્યા, અને આ પ્રમાણે તેઓએ કર્યું. BSB BSB: After they had prayed, their meeting place was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
33 ULB પ્રેરિતોએ સામર્થ્યથી બીજાને જણાવવાંનું ચાલુ રાખ્યું કે ઈશ્વરે ઈસુ પ્રભુને સજીવન કર્યા છે. અને ઈશ્વર સર્વ વિશ્વાસીઓને ખૂબ મદદ કરતા હતા. BSB BSB: With great power the apostles continued to give their testimony about the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And abundant grace was upon them all.
34 ULB વિશ્વાસીઓમાના કેટલાક જેમની પાસે જમીન કે મકાનો હતા તેઓએ તેમની મિલ્કત વેચી નાખી. પછી તેમણે જે વેચ્યું હતું તેના નાણા પ્રેરિતોને આપ્યા. BSB BSB: There were no needy ones among them, because those who owned lands or houses would sell their property, bring the proceeds from the sales,
35 ULB પછી પ્રેરિતો તે નાણામાંથી જરૂરિયાતવાળા વિશ્વાસીને આપતા હતા. તેથી જીવન જીવવા જે જરૂરી હતું તે બધા વિશ્વાસીઓને માટે ઉપલબ્ધ હતું. BSB BSB: and lay them at the apostles’ feet for distribution to anyone as he had need.
37 ULB તેણે એક ખેતર વેચી દીધું અને તેના નાણા તે પ્રેરિતોની પાસે લાવ્યો કે જેથી બીજા વિશ્વાસીઓને આપી શકાય. BSB BSB: sold a field he owned, brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.
