1 ULB એ માટે જો તમને, ખ્રિસ્તની સાથે સજીવન કરવામાં આવ્યા છે, તો જ્યાં ખ્રિસ્ત, ઈશ્વરને જમણે હાથે બિરાજમાન છે ત્યાંની, એટલે કે ઉપરની બાબતોની શોધો કરો. BSB BSB: Therefore, since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
2 ULB સ્વર્ગીય બાબતો પર મન લગાવો, પૃથ્વી પરની બાબતો પર નહિ. BSB BSB: Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
3 ULB કેમ કે તમે મરણ પામેલા છો અને તમારું જીવન ખ્રિસ્તની સાથે ઈશ્વરમાં ગુપ્ત રાખવામાં આવેલું છે. BSB BSB: For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
4 ULB ખ્રિસ્ત જે આપણું જીવન છે, તે જયારે પ્રગટ થશે ત્યારે તમે પણ તેમની સાથે મહિમામાં પ્રગટ થશો. BSB BSB: When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
5 ULB તે માટે પૃથ્વી પરની તમારી દૈહિક ઇચ્છાઓ એટલે વ્યભિચાર, અશુદ્ધતા, વિષયવાસના, દુષ્ટ ઇચ્છા તથા લોભ કે જે મૂર્તિપૂજા છે, તેઓનો નાશ કરો. BSB BSB: Put to death, therefore, the components of your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed, which is idolatry.
6 ULB આવાં કામોને લીધે આજ્ઞાભંગ કરનારા પર ઈશ્વરનો કોપ આવે છે. BSB BSB: Because of these, the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience.
7 ULB જયારે તમે અગાઉ તેઓ પ્રમાણે જીવતા હતા ત્યારે તે પ્રમાણે વર્તતા હતા. BSB BSB: When you lived among them, you also used to walk in these ways.
8 ULB પણ હવે રીસ, ક્રોધ, અદાવત, અપમાન અને તમારા મુખમાંથી નીકળતાં બીભત્સવચનો તે સર્વ ત્યજી દો. BSB BSB: But now you must put aside all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.
9 ULB તમે એકબીજાની સાથે જૂઠું ન બોલો, કેમ કે તમે જૂના માણસપણાને તેના કૃત્યો સહિત ઉતારી મૂક્યું છે; BSB BSB: Do not lie to one another, since you have taken off the old self with its practices,
10 ULB અને જે નવું માણસપણું તેના ઉત્પન્ન કરનારની પ્રતિમા પ્રમાણે જ્ઞાનમાં નવું કરાતું જાય છે, તે તમે ધારણ કર્યું છે. BSB BSB: and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.
12 ULB એ માટે, પવિત્ર તથા વહાલાંઓ, ઈશ્વરના પસંદ કરેલાને શોભે તેમ, દયાળુ હૃદય, મમતા, નમ્રતા, વિનય તથા સહનશીલતા ધારણ કરો. BSB BSB: Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with hearts of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
13 ULB એકબીજાનું સહન કરો અને જો કોઈને કોઈની સામે ફરિયાદ હોય તો તેને માફ કરો, જેમ ખ્રિસ્તે તમને માફ કર્યા તેમ તમે પણ એકબીજાને માફ કરો. BSB BSB: Bear with one another and forgive any complaint you may have against someone else. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
14 ULB પણ એ સઘળાં ઉપરાંત પ્રેમ જે સંપૂર્ણતાનું બંધન છે તે તમે પહેરી લો. BSB BSB: And over all these virtues put on love, which is the bond of perfect unity.
15 ULB ખ્રિસ્તની શાંતિ કે જે પામવા માટે તમે એક શરીરમાં તેડાયેલા છો, તે તમારાં હૃદયોમાં રાજ કરે; અને તમે આભારસ્તુતિ કરો. BSB BSB: Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, for to this you were called as members of one body. And be thankful.
16 ULB ખ્રિસ્તનું શિક્ષણ સર્વ જ્ઞાનમાં ભરપૂરતાથી તમારામાં રહે; ગીતો, સ્ત્રોત્રો તથા આત્મિક ગાયનોથી એકબીજાને શીખવો તથા બોધ કરો અને આભારસહિત તમારા હૃદયોમાં પ્રભુની સમક્ષ ગાન કરો. BSB BSB: Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
17 ULB વચનથી કે કાર્યથી જે કંઈ તમે કરો, તે સર્વ પ્રભુ ઈસુને નામે કરો અને તે દ્વારા ઈશ્વર પિતાની આભારસ્તુતિ કરો. BSB BSB: And whatever you do, in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
18 ULB પત્નીઓ, જેમ પ્રભુમાં શોભે છે તેમ તમે તમારા પતિઓને આધીન રહો. BSB BSB: Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
19 ULB પતિઓ, તમે તમારી પત્નીઓ પર પ્રેમ રાખો અને તેઓ પ્રત્યે કઠોર ન થાઓ. BSB BSB: Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.
20 ULB બાળકો, તમે દરેક બાબતમાં તમારાં માતાપિતાની આજ્ઞાનું પાલન કરો, કેમ કે તે પ્રભુને પસંદ છે. BSB BSB: Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord.
21 ULB પિતાઓ, તમે તમારાં બાળકોને ઉશ્કેરશો નહીં, કે જેથી તેઓ નિરાશ થાય નહિ. BSB BSB: Fathers, do not provoke your children, so they will not become discouraged.
22 ULB દાસો, તમે માણસોને ખુશ કરનારાઓની રીતે નહિ અને દેખરેખ હોય ત્યારે જ નહિ, પણ પ્રામાણિક હૃદયથી તથા પ્રભુથી ડરીને, તમામ બાબતોમાં પૃથ્વી પરના તમારા માલિકોની આજ્ઞાઓ પાળો. BSB BSB: Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything, not only to please them while they are watching, but with sincerity of heart and fear of the Lord.
23 ULB તમે જે કંઈ કરો તે માણસોને માટે નહિ, પણ જાણે પ્રભુને માટે કરો છો, એમ સમજીને સઘળું ખરા જીવથી કરો; BSB BSB: Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, as for the Lord and not for men,
24 ULB કેમ કે તમે જાણો છો કે બદલામાં તમને પ્રભુ પાસેથી વારસો મળશે; કેમ કે તમે તો ખ્રિસ્ત પ્રભુની સેવા કરો છો. BSB BSB: because you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as your reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
25 ULB પણ જે દુષ્ટતા કરે છે તેને તેની દુષ્ટતાનો બદલો મળશે; ‘પ્રભુ પાસે પક્ષપાત નથી. BSB BSB: Whoever does wrong will be repaid for his wrong, and there is no favoritism.
