1 ULB એ માટે યહોવાહ તારા ઈશ્વર પર પ્રેમ રાખો અને તેમના ફરમાન, કાયદા, નિયમો અને આજ્ઞાઓ સર્વદા પાળો. BSB BSB: You shall therefore love the LORD your God and always keep His charge, His statutes, His ordinances, and His commandments.
2 ULB હું તમારાં સંતાનો સાથે નહિ પણ તમારી સાથે બોલું છું. જેઓએ યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરની શિક્ષા, તેમની મહાનતા, તેમનો પરાક્રમી હાથ તથા તેમનાં અદ્દભુત કામો જોયા કે જાણ્યાં નથી, BSB BSB: Know this day that it is not your children who have known and seen the discipline of the LORD your God: His greatness, His mighty hand, and His outstretched arm;
3 ULB તેમનાં ચિહ્નો, તેમનાં કામો, જે તેમણે મિસર મધ્યે મિસરના રાજા ફારુન તથા તેના આખા દેશ પ્રત્યે કર્યા તે. BSB BSB: the signs and works He did in Egypt to Pharaoh king of Egypt and all his land;
4 ULB મિસરનું સૈન્ય તેના ઘોડા અને રથો તમારો પીછો કરતાં હતાં, ત્યારે સૂફ સમુદ્રનું પાણી તેમની પર ફેરવી વાળ્યું. એ રીતે યહોવાહે તેમનો આજ સુધી કેવી રીતે વિનાશ કર્યો તે તેમણે જોયું નથી; BSB BSB: what He did to the Egyptian army and horses and chariots when He made the waters of the Red Sea engulf them as they pursued you, and how He destroyed them completely, even to this day;
5 ULB અને તમે આ સ્થળે આવી પહોંચ્યા ત્યાં સુધી તેમણે અરણ્યમાં તમારે સારું જે કર્યુ તે. BSB BSB: what He did for you in the wilderness until you reached this place;
6 ULB અને સર્વ ઇઝરાયલીઓના જોતાં રુબેનના દીકરાઓમાંથી, અલિયાબના દીકરા દાથાન અને અબિરામને યહોવાહે શું કર્યું તે તમે જોયું છે, પણ તમારા સંતાનો એ જોયું નથી. એટલે કેવી રીતે પૃથ્વી પોતાનું મુખ ઉઘાડીને તેઓને તથા તેઓના કુટુંબોને, તેઓના તંબુઓને અને તેમની સાથેના નોકર ચાકર તથા તેમની માલિકીનાં સર્વ જાનવરોને ગળી ગઈ. BSB BSB: and what He did in the midst of all the Israelites to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab the Reubenite, when the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them, their households, their tents, and every living thing that belonged to them.
7 ULB પણ તમારી આંખોએ યહોવાહે કરેલાં અદ્દભુત કામો નિહાળ્યાં છે. BSB BSB: For it is your own eyes that have seen every great work that the LORD has done.
8 ULB તેથી જે સર્વ આજ્ઞા હું આજે તમને ફરમાવું છું તે સર્વ પાળો જેથી તમે બળવાન થાઓ અને જે દેશનું વતન પામવાને તમે જઈ રહ્યા છો તેમાં પ્રવેશ કરીને તેનું વતન સંપાદન કરો; BSB BSB: You shall therefore keep every commandment I am giving you today, so that you may have the strength to go in and possess the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess,
9 ULB યહોવાહે જે દૂધ તથા મધથી રેલછેલવાળો દેશ વિષે તમારા પિતૃઓ આગળ સોગન ખાધા હતા કે હું તમને તથા તમારા સંતાનોને આપીશ અને તેમાં તમારું આયુષ્ય લંબાવીશ. BSB BSB: and so that you may live long in the land that the LORD swore to your fathers to give them and their descendants, a land flowing with milk and honey.
10 ULB તમે જે દેશનું વતન પામવાને જઈ રહ્યા છો તે તો મિસર દેશ જ્યાંથી તમે બહાર નીકળી આવ્યા છો તેના જેવો નથી કે જયાં બી વાવ્યા પછી તમારે શાકભાજીની વાડીની જેમ પોતાના પગથી પાણી પાવું પડતું હતું. BSB BSB: For the land that you are entering to possess is not like the land of Egypt, from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and irrigated on foot, like a vegetable garden.
11 ULB પરંતુ જે દેશનું વતન પામવાને માટે તમે પેલે પાર જાઓ છો તે ડુંગરવાળો અને ખીણોવાળો દેશ છે. તે આકાશના વરસાદનું પાણી પીએ છે, BSB BSB: But the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks in the rain from heaven.
12 ULB તે દેશ વિષે યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વર કાળજી રાખે છે. વર્ષના આરંભથી તે અંત સુધી યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરની નજર હમેશાં તેના પર રહે છે. BSB BSB: It is a land for which the LORD your God cares; the eyes of the LORD your God are always on it, from the beginning to the end of the year.
13 ULB અને આજે હું તમને જે આજ્ઞાઓ જણાવું છું તે જો તમે ધ્યાનથી સાંભળી અને તમારા ઈશ્વર યહોવાહ પર પ્રીતિ રાખીને તમારા ખરા મન અને આત્માથી તેમની સેવા કરશો તો એમ થશે કે, BSB BSB: So if you carefully obey the commandments I am giving you today, to love the LORD your God and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul,
14 ULB હું તમારા દેશમાં વરસાદ એટલે આગળનો વરસાદ તથા પાછળનો વરસાદ તેની ઋતુ અનુસાર મોકલીશ. જેથી તમે તમારું અનાજ, તમારો નવો દ્રાક્ષારસ તથા તમારા તેલનો સંગ્રહ કરી શકો. BSB BSB: then I will provide rain for your land in season, the autumn and spring rains, that you may gather your grain, new wine, and oil.
15 ULB હું તમારાં ઢોરને સારુ ખેતરોમાં ઘાસ ઉગાવીશ. અને તમે ખાઈને તૃપ્ત થશો. BSB BSB: And I will provide grass in the fields for your livestock, and you will eat and be satisfied.
16 ULB સાવચેત રહો રખેને તમારું અંત:કરણ ઠગાઈ જાય. અને તમે ભટકી જઈ બીજા દેવ દેવીઓની સેવા કરો અને તેમનું ભજન કરો; BSB BSB: But be careful that you are not enticed to turn aside to worship and bow down to other gods,
17 ULB રખેને યહોવાહનો કોપ તમારી વિરુદ્ધ સળગી ઊઠે અને તેઓ આકાશમાંથી વરસાદ બંધ કરે અને જમીન પોતાની ઊપજ ન આપે. અને યહોવાહ જે ફળદ્રુપ દેશ તમને આપે છે તેમાં તમારો જલ્દી નાશ થાય. BSB BSB: or the anger of the LORD will be kindled against you. He will shut the heavens so that there will be no rain, nor will the land yield its produce, and you will soon perish from the good land that the LORD is giving you.
18 ULB માટે મારાં આ વચનો તમે તમારા હૃદયમાં તથા મનમાં મૂકી રાખો, ચિહ્ન તરીકે તમારા હાથમાં બાંધો તથા તેઓને તમારી આંખોની વચ્ચે કપાળભૂષળ તરીકે રાખો. BSB BSB: Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as reminders on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
19 ULB જયારે તમે ઘરમાં બેઠા હોય ત્યારે, બહાર ચાલતા હોય ત્યારે, તું સૂતા હોય ત્યારે અને ઊઠતી વેળાએ તે વિષે વાત કરો અને તમારા સંતાનોને તે શીખવો. BSB BSB: Teach them to your children, speaking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
20 ULB તમારા ઘરની બારસાખ પર તથા તમારા નગરના દરવાજા પર તમે તેઓને લખો. BSB BSB: Write them on the doorposts of your houses and on your gates,
21 ULB જેથી જે દેશ આપવાનું વચન યહોવાહે તમારા પિતૃઓને આપ્યું હતું તેમાં તમારા દિવસો અને તમારા વંશજોના દિવસો પૃથ્વી પરના આકાશોના દિવસોની જેમ વૃદ્ધિ પામે. BSB BSB: so that as long as the heavens are above the earth, your days and those of your children may be multiplied in the land that the LORD swore to give your fathers.
22 ULB કેમ કે આ જે બધી આજ્ઞાઓ હું તમને આપું છું તેને જો તમે ખંતપૂર્વક પાળીને અમલમાં મૂકશો અને યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વર પર પ્રેમ રાખીને તેમના સર્વ માર્ગોમાં ચાલશો અને તેમને વળગી રહેશો તો, BSB BSB: For if you carefully keep all these commandments I am giving you to follow—to love the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways, and to hold fast to Him—
23 ULB યહોવાહ આ સર્વ પ્રજાઓને તમારી આગળથી હાંકી કાઢશે, તમે તમારા કરતાં મોટી અને બળવાન પ્રજાને કબજે કરશે. BSB BSB: then the LORD will drive out all these nations before you, and you will dispossess nations greater and stronger than you.
24 ULB દરેક જગ્યા જ્યાં તમારા પગ ફરી વળશે તે તમારી થશે; અરણ્યથી તથા લબાનોનથી, નદીથી એટલે ફ્રાત નદી સુધી, પશ્ચિમના સમુદ્ર સુધી તમારી સરહદ થશે. BSB BSB: Every place where the sole of your foot treads will be yours. Your territory will extend from the wilderness to Lebanon, and from the Euphrates River to the Western Sea.
25 ULB વળી તમારી આગળ કોઈ માણસ ટકી શકશે નહિ; જે ભૂમિ પર તમે ચાલશો તે પર યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વર તમારી બીક અને ધાક રાખશે. જેમ તેમણે તમને કહ્યું છે તે પ્રમાણે. BSB BSB: No man will be able to stand against you; the LORD your God will put the fear and dread of you upon all the land, wherever you set foot, as He has promised you.
26 ULB જો, આજે હું તમારી આગળ આશીર્વાદ તથા શાપ બન્ને મૂકું છું. BSB BSB: See, today I am setting before you a blessing and a curse—
27 ULB જો તમે યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરની આજ્ઞાઓ જે હું આજે તમને ફરમાવું છું તે સાંભળશો તો તમે આશીર્વાદ પામશો; BSB BSB: a blessing if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God that I am giving you today,
28 ULB જો તમે યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરની આજ્ઞાઓ નહિ સાંભળો, જે માર્ગ હું તમને આજે ફરમાવું છું તે છોડીને બીજા દેવો કે જેઓ વિષે તમે જાણતા નથી તેની પાછળ જશો તો તમે શાપ પામશો. BSB BSB: but a curse if you disobey the commandments of the LORD your God and turn aside from the path I command you today by following other gods, which you have not known.
30 ULB શું તેઓ યર્દન નદીની સામે પાર પશ્ચિમ દિશાના રસ્તા પાછળ, ગિલ્ગાલની સામેના અરાબામાં રહેતા કનાનીઓના દેશમાં, મોરેના એલોનવૃક્ષોની પાસે નથી? BSB BSB: Are not these mountains across the Jordan, west of the road toward the sunset, in the land of the Canaanites who live in the Arabah opposite Gilgal near the Oak of Moreh?
31 ULB કેમ કે જે દેશ યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરે તમને આપ્યો છે તેનું વતન પામવા માટે તમે યર્દન નદી પાર કરીને જવાના છો, તમે તેનું વતન પામીને તેમાં રહેશો. BSB BSB: For you are about to cross the Jordan to enter and possess the land that the LORD your God is giving you. When you take possession of it and settle in it,
32 ULB હું આજે તમારી સમક્ષ જે બધા કાનૂનો તથા નિયમો મૂકું છું તેને તમે કાળજીપૂર્વક પાળો. BSB BSB: be careful to follow all the statutes and ordinances that I am setting before you today.
