1 ULB નવમા વર્ષના દશમા માસના દશમા દિવસે યહોવાહનું વચન મારી પાસે આવ્યું અને કહ્યું, BSB BSB: In the ninth year, on the tenth day of the tenth month, the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
2 ULB "હે મનુષ્યપુત્ર, તું દિવસનું એટલે આજના દિવસનું નામ લખ, કેમ કે, આજના દિવસે બાબિલના રાજાએ યરુશાલેમનો ઘેરો ઘાલ્યો છે. BSB BSB: “Son of man, write down today’s date, for on this very day the king of Babylon has laid siege to Jerusalem.
3 ULB આ બંડખોર પ્રજાને દ્રષ્ટાંત આપીને સંભળાવ. તેને કહે કે, ''પ્રભુ યહોવાહ આમ કહે છે: કઢાઈ ચઢાવો, તેને ચઢાવીને તેમાં પાણી રેડો, BSB BSB: Now speak a parable to this rebellious house and tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Put the pot on the fire; put it on and pour in the water.
4 ULB તેમાં માંસના ટુકડા, જાંઘ તથા ખભાના દરેક સારા ટુકડા નાખો. સારાં હાડકાંથી તેને ભરો! BSB BSB: Put in the pieces of meat, every good piece—thigh and shoulder—fill it with choice bones.
5 ULB ટોળાંમાંથી એક ઉત્તમ ઘેટું લો, પેલાં હાડકાં તેની નીચે નાખો, તેને ખૂબ ઉકાળો, હાડકાંને બફાવા દો. BSB BSB: Take the choicest of the flock and pile the fuel beneath it. Bring it to a boil and cook the bones in it.’
6 ULB માટે પ્રભુ યહોવાહ કહે છે: કઢાઈની માફક જેની અંદર મેલ છે, જેમાંથી મેલ કદી નીકળ્યો નથી એવી ખૂની નગરીને અફસોસ. તેમાંથી ટુકડે ટુકડે લો, પણ તેના પર ચિઠ્ઠી નાખવાની નથી. BSB BSB: Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Woe to the city of bloodshed, to the pot now rusted, whose rust will not come off! Empty it piece by piece; cast no lots for its contents.
7 ULB કેમ કે તેનું લોહી તેની અંદર છે. તેણે તેને ખુલ્લા ખડક પર પાડ્યું છે, તેણે તેને જમીન પર રેડ્યું નથી જેથી તે ધૂળથી ઢંકાય જાય, BSB BSB: For the blood she shed is still within her; she poured it out on the bare rock; she did not pour it on the ground to cover it with dust.
8 ULB તે ઢંકાય નહિ માટે મેં તેને ખુલ્લા ખડક પર રાખ્યું છે. જેથી મારો કોપ સળગે અને હું વૈર વાળું. BSB BSB: In order to stir up wrath and take vengeance, I have placed her blood on the bare rock, so that it would not be covered.’
9 ULB તેથી પ્રભુ યહોવાહ આમ કહે છે: ખૂની નગરીને અફસોસ, હું લાકડાંનો મોટો ઢગલો પણ કરીશ. BSB BSB: Yes, this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Woe to the city of bloodshed! I, too, will pile the kindling high.
10 ULB લાકડાંને વધારો, અગ્નિ સળગાવો, માંસને બરાબર ઉકાળો. રસો જાડો કરો! હાડકાંને બળી જવા દો! BSB BSB: Pile on the logs and kindle the fire; cook the meat well and mix in the spices; let the bones be burned.
11 ULB પછી ખાલી કઢાઈને અંગારા પર મૂકો, જેથી તે ગરમ થાય અને તેનું પિત્તળ તપી જાય, તેની અંદરનો તેનો મેલ પીગળીને તેનો કાટ પીગળી જાય. BSB BSB: Set the empty pot on its coals until it becomes hot and its copper glows. Then its impurity will melt within; its rust will be consumed.
12 ULB તે સખત પરિશ્રમથી કંટાળી ગઈ છે, પણ તેનો કાટ એટલો બધો છે કે તે અગ્નિથી પણ જતો નથી. BSB BSB: It has frustrated every effort; its thick rust has not been removed, even by the fire.
13 ULB તારી અશુદ્ધતામાં લંપટતા સમાયેલી છે, કેમ કે મેં શુદ્ધ કરવાનો પ્રયત્ન કર્યો, પણ તું શુદ્ધ થઈ નહિ. હું તારા પર મારો પૂરો રોષ ઉતારીશ નહિ ત્યાં સુધી તું ફરી શુદ્ધ થશે નહિ. BSB BSB: Because of the indecency of your uncleanness I tried to cleanse you, but you would not be purified from your filthiness. You will not be pure again until My wrath against you has subsided.
14 ULB મેં, યહોવાહે તે કહ્યું છે અને તે પ્રમાણે થશે અને હું તે પૂરું કરીશ, હું પીછેહઠ કરીશ નહિ. દયા રાખીશ નહિ. તારાં આચરણ પ્રમાણે અને તારાં કૃત્યો પ્રમાણે તેઓ ન્યાય કરશે." એવું પ્રભુ યહોવાહ કહે છે. BSB BSB: I, the LORD, have spoken; the time is coming, and I will act. I will not refrain or show pity, nor will I relent. I will judge you according to your ways and deeds,’ declares the Lord GOD.”
15 ULB યહોવાહનું વચન મારી પાસે આવ્યું અને કહ્યું, BSB BSB: Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
17 ULB તું ચૂપચાપ નિસાસા નાખજે. મૃત્યુ પામેલા માટે અંતિમ યાત્રાની વ્યવસ્થા કરતો નહિ. તારા માથે પાઘડી બાંધ અને તારા પગમાં ચંપલ પહેર. તું તારા હોઠને ઢાંકતો નહિ કે જે માણસ પોતાની પત્ની ગુમાવ્યાને કારણે શોક કરે છે તેની રોટલી ખાતો નહિ." BSB BSB: Groan quietly; do not mourn for the dead. Put on your turban and strap your sandals on your feet; do not cover your lips or eat the bread of mourners.”
18 ULB સવારમાં મેં મારા લોકોને કહ્યું, સાંજે મારી પત્ની મૃત્યુ પામી. મને આજ્ઞા આપી હતી તે પ્રમાણે મેં સવારે કર્યું. BSB BSB: So I spoke to the people in the morning, and in the evening my wife died. And the next morning I did as I had been commanded.
19 ULB લોકોએ મને પૂછ્યું, "તું જે બાબતો કરે છે, તે બધાનો શો અર્થ છે તે અમને નહિ કહે?" BSB BSB: Then the people asked me, “Won’t you tell us what these things you are doing mean to us?”
20 ULB ત્યારે મેં તેઓને કહ્યું, "યહોવાહનું વચન મારી પાસે આવ્યું અને કહ્યું, BSB BSB: So I answered them, “The word of the LORD came to me, saying:
21 ULB 'ઇઝરાયલી લોકોને કહે, પ્રભુ યહોવાહ કહે છે કે, જુઓ, મારું પવિત્રસ્થાન, જે તમારા સામર્થ્યનું ગર્વ છે, જે તમારી આંખોની ઇચ્છા છે, જે તમારા આત્માની અભિલાષા છે તેને હું ભ્રષ્ટ કરીશ. તમારા જે દીકરા તથા દીકરીઓને તમે પાછળ છોડી આવ્યા છો તેઓ તલવારથી મરશે. BSB BSB: Tell the house of Israel that this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘I am about to desecrate My sanctuary, the pride of your power, the desire of your eyes, and the delight of your soul. And the sons and daughters you left behind will fall by the sword.’
22 ULB ત્યારે જેમ મેં કર્યું છે તેમ તમે કરશો:. તમારા હોઠને ઢાંકશો નહિ કે શોકની રોટલી ખાશો નહિ. BSB BSB: Then you will do as I have done: You will not cover your lips or eat the bread of mourners.
23 ULB તમારી પાઘડી તમારા માથા પર, તમારાં ચંપલ તમારા પગમાં હશે. શોક કરશો કે રડશો નહિ, તમે તમારા અન્યાયમાં પીગળી જશો, દરેક માણસ પોતાના ભાઈને માટે નિસાસા નાખશે. BSB BSB: Your turbans will remain on your heads and your sandals on your feet. You will not mourn or weep, but you will waste away because of your sins, and you will groan among yourselves.
24 ULB હઝકિયેલ તમારે માટે ચિહ્નરૂપ થશે. જ્યારે તે આવશે ત્યારે જે સર્વ તેણે કર્યું તે પ્રમાણે તમે કરશો. ત્યારે તમે જાણશો કે હું પ્રભુ યહોવાહ છું!'" BSB BSB: ‘Thus Ezekiel will be a sign for you; you will do everything that he has done. When this happens, you will know that I am the Lord GOD.’
25 ULB "પણ હે મનુષ્યપુત્ર, જે દિવસે હું તેઓનું સામર્થ્ય, જે તેઓનો આનંદ છે, તેઓનો ગર્વ, જે તેઓ જુએ છે અને તેઓની ઇચ્છા છે તેને કબજામાં લઈ લઈશ અને તેઓના દીકરા તથા દીકરીઓને લઈ લઈશ. BSB BSB: And you, son of man, know that on the day I take away their stronghold, their pride and joy—the desire of their eyes which uplifted their souls—and their sons and daughters as well,
26 ULB તે દિવસે એમ નહિ થશે કે, બચી ગયેલો તારી પાસે આવીને તને તે સમાચાર કહી સંભળાવે. BSB BSB: on that day a fugitive will come and tell you the news.
27 ULB તે જ દિવસે તારું મુખ ખૂલશે અને તું બચી ગયેલાઓ સાથે વાત કરશે. ત્યાર પછી તું શાંત રહેશે નહિ. તું તેઓ માટે ચિહ્નરૂપ થશે ત્યારે તેઓ જાણશે કે હું યહોવાહ છું!" BSB BSB: On that day your mouth will be opened to him who has escaped; you will speak and no longer be mute. So you will be a sign to them, and they will know that I am the LORD.”
