1 ULB પછી તે માણસ મને પાછો સભાસ્થાનની પૂર્વ તરફ જેનું મુખ છે તે પવિત્રસ્થાનના બહારના દરવાજા આગળ લાવ્યો. તે દરવાજો બંધ હતો. BSB BSB: The man then brought me back to the outer gate of the sanctuary that faced east, but it was shut.
2 ULB યહોવાહે મને કહ્યું, "આ દરવાજો બંધ રહે; તે ઉઘાડવો નહિ. કોઈ માણસ તેમાં થઈને અંદર ન આવે, કારણ, કે ઇઝરાયલના ઈશ્વર તેમાં થઈને અંદર આવ્યા હતા તેથી તે બંધ રાખવામાં આવે. BSB BSB: And the LORD said to me, “This gate is to remain shut. It shall not be opened, and no man shall enter through it, because the LORD, the God of Israel, has entered through it. Therefore it will remain shut.
3 ULB ઇઝરાયલનો સરદાર યહોવાહની આગળ રોટલી ખાવાને તેમાં બેસે. તે દરવાજાની ઓસરીને માર્ગે પ્રવેશ કરે અને તે જ માર્ગે બહાર નીકળે." BSB BSB: Only the prince himself may sit inside the gateway to eat in the presence of the LORD. He must enter by way of the portico of the gateway and go out the same way.”
4 ULB પછી તે માણસ મને ઉત્તરના દરવાજેથી સભાસ્થાનની આગળ લાવ્યો. મેં જોયું તો જુઓ યહોવાહના ગૌરવથી સભાસ્થાન ભરાઈ ગયું હતું. હું ઊંધો પડ્યો. BSB BSB: Then the man brought me to the front of the temple by way of the north gate. I looked and saw the glory of the LORD filling His temple, and I fell facedown.
5 ULB ત્યારે યહોવાહે મને કહ્યું, "હે મનુષ્યપુત્ર, હું તને યહોવાહના સભાસ્થાનના નિયમો તથા સર્વ વિધિઓ વિષે કહું તે બધું બરાબર ધ્યાનમાં લે. તારી નજરથી જો, તારા કાનોથી સાંભળ. ઘરમાં પ્રવેશ કરવાના તથા પવિત્રસ્થાનના બહાર નીકળવાના દરેક માર્ગ પર પણ ખાસ ધ્યાન આપ. BSB BSB: The LORD said to me: “Son of man, pay attention; look carefully with your eyes and listen closely with your ears to everything I tell you concerning all the statutes and laws of the house of the LORD. Take careful note of the entrance to the temple, along with all the exits of the sanctuary.
6 ULB આ બંડખોર ઇઝરાયલી લોકોને કહે કે 'પ્રભુ યહોવાહ કહે છે: હે ઇઝરાયલી લોકો તમે તમારાં ધિક્કારપાત્ર કૃત્યોમાં જે કર્મ કર્યું છે તે બંધ કરો તો સારું, BSB BSB: Tell the rebellious house of Israel that this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘I have had enough of all your abominations, O house of Israel.
7 ULB તમે રોટલી, ચરબી તથા રક્ત અર્પણ કરતી વખતે વિદેશીઓને કે, જેઓ હૃદયમાં તથા શરીરમાં બેસુન્નત છે, તેવા લોકોને મારા પવિત્રસ્થાનમાં લાવીને સભાસ્થાનને અશુદ્ધ કર્યું છે, મારા કરારનો ભંગ કરીને તમારાં ધિક્કારપાત્ર કાર્યોમાં વધારો કર્યો છે. BSB BSB: In addition to all your other abominations, you brought in foreigners uncircumcised in both heart and flesh to occupy My sanctuary; you defiled My temple when you offered My food—the fat and the blood; you broke My covenant.
8 ULB તમે મારા પ્રત્યેની તમારી ફરજમાં જવાબદારી પૂર્વક કામ કર્યું નથી, તમે મારા પવિત્રસ્થાનની સંભાળ રાખવાનું કામ બીજાને સોંપી દીધું છે. BSB BSB: And you have not kept charge of My holy things, but have appointed others to keep charge of My sanctuary for you.’
9 ULB પ્રભુ યહોવાહ આમ કહે છે: ઇઝરાયલી લોકોમાં જે વિદેશીઓ છે, તેઓમાંનો કોઈ પણ હૃદય તથા શરીરમાં બેસુન્નત હોય તે મારા ઘરમાં પ્રવેશ ન કરે. BSB BSB: This is what the Lord GOD says: No foreigner uncircumcised in heart and flesh may enter My sanctuary—not even a foreigner who lives among the Israelites.
10 ULB જ્યારે ઇઝરાયલીઓ મારાથી દૂર ગયા, ત્યારે લેવીઓ પણ મારાથી દૂર જતા રહ્યા, મારાથી દૂર જઈને પોતાની મૂર્તિઓ પાછળ ગયા, માટે હવે તેઓને તેઓનું પાપનું બોજ ઉઠાવવું પડશે. BSB BSB: Surely the Levites who wandered away from Me when Israel went astray, and who wandered away from Me after their idols, will bear the consequences of their iniquity.
11 ULB તોપણ તેઓ મારા પવિત્રસ્થાનમાં સેવકો થાય, સભાસ્થાનના દરવાજાની આગળ ચોકી કરે અને ઘરમાં સેવા કરે. તેઓ લોકોને માટે દહનીયાર્પણ તથા બલિદાન ચઢાવે; તેઓ તેમની સેવા કરવા તેમની આગળ ઊભા રહે. BSB BSB: Yet they shall be ministers in My sanctuary, having charge of the gates of the temple and ministering there. They shall slaughter the burnt offerings and other sacrifices for the people and stand before them to minister to them.
12 ULB પણ તેઓએ તેઓની મૂર્તિઓ આગળ સેવા બજાવી હતી. તેઓ ઇઝરાયલી લોકો માટે પાપરૂપી ઠેસરૂપ થયા હતા. તેથી પ્રભુ યહોવાહ કહે છે મેં તેઓની વિરુદ્ધ સમ ખાધા છે, 'તેઓને તેઓનાં પાપોના બોજ ઉઠાવવું પડશે. BSB BSB: Because they ministered before their idols and became a stumbling block of iniquity to the house of Israel, therefore I swore with an uplifted hand concerning them that they would bear the consequences of their iniquity, declares the Lord GOD.
13 ULB મારા પ્રત્યે યાજકપદની સેવા બજાવવા તથા મારી કોઈ પવિત્ર વસ્તુઓ પાસે, પરમ પવિત્ર વસ્તુઓ પાસે આવવા તેઓ મારી હજૂરમાં નહિ આવે. પણ, તેઓ પોતાનાં દોષપાત્ર તથા ધિક્કારપાત્ર કૃત્યોનાં ફળ ભોગવશે. BSB BSB: They must not approach Me to serve Me as priests or come near any of My holy things or the most holy things. They will bear the shame of the abominations they have committed.
14 ULB પણ હું તેઓને તેઓની સઘળી ફરજો તથા તેમાં થયેલા દરેક કામ વિષે સભાસ્થાનના રક્ષક તરીકે રાખીશ. BSB BSB: Yet I will appoint them to keep charge of all the work for the temple and everything to be done in it.
15 ULB અને સાદોકના દીકરા, એટલે લેવી યાજકો, જ્યારે ઇઝરાયલી લોકો મારાથી વિમુખ થયા ત્યારે તેઓ મારી હજૂરમાં આવીને મારી સેવા કરે, મને ચરબી તથા રક્ત ચઢાવવાને મારી આગળ ઊભા રહે.' આમ પ્રભુ યહોવાહ કહે છે. BSB BSB: But the Levitical priests, who are descended from Zadok and who kept charge of My sanctuary when the Israelites went astray from Me, are to approach Me to minister before Me. They will stand before Me to offer Me fat and blood, declares the Lord GOD.
16 ULB તેઓ મારા ઘરમાં આવશે; તેઓ મારી સેવા કરવાને મારી મેજ પાસે આવે અને તેઓને સોંપેલી મારી ફરજો બજાવે. BSB BSB: They alone shall enter My sanctuary and draw near to My table to minister before Me. They will keep My charge.
17 ULB તેઓ જ્યારે સભાસ્થાનના અંદરના આંગણામાં પ્રવેશ કરે ત્યારે માત્ર શણનાં વસ્ત્રો પહેરે. સભાસ્થાનના અંદરના આંગણામાં અથવા મંદિરમાં સેવા કરતી વખતે ઊનનાં વસ્ત્રો પહેરે નહિ. BSB BSB: When they enter the gates of the inner court, they are to wear linen garments; they must not wear anything made of wool when they minister at the gates of the inner court or inside the temple.
18 ULB તેઓએ માથે શણની પાઘડી પહેરવી અને કમરે શણની ઇજાર પહેરવી. જે વસ્ત્રો પહેરવાથી પરસેવો થાય તેવાં વસ્ત્રો તેઓએ પહેરવાં નહિ. BSB BSB: They are to wear linen turbans on their heads and linen undergarments around their waists. They must not wear anything that makes them perspire.
19 ULB જ્યારે તેઓ બહારનાં આંગણામાં, એટલે બહારના આંગણામાં લોકો પાસે જાય, ત્યારે તેઓ સેવા કરતી વખતે પહેરેલાં વસ્ત્રો ઉતારીને તેમને પવિત્ર ઓરડીમાં મૂકે. જેથી તેઓનાં પોતાનાં ખાસ વસ્ત્રોથી લોકો પવિત્ર થઈ જાય નહિ. BSB BSB: When they go out to the outer court, to the people, they are to take off the garments in which they have ministered, leave them in the holy chambers, and dress in other clothes so that they do not transmit holiness to the people with their garments.
20 ULB તેઓ પોતાનાં માથાંનું મુંડન કરાવે નહિ કે પોતાના વાળને વધવા ન દે, પણ તે પોતાના માથાના વાળ કપાવે. BSB BSB: They must not shave their heads or let their hair grow long, but must carefully trim their hair.
21 ULB કોઈ પણ યાજક દ્રાક્ષારસ પીને આંગણામાં આવે નહિ, BSB BSB: No priest may drink wine before he enters the inner court.
22 ULB તેઓ વિધવા કે છૂટાછેડા લીધેલી સ્ત્રી સાથે લગ્ન ન કરે; પણ ફક્ત ઇઝરાયલમાંથી કુંવારી તથા અગાઉ યાજકની સાથે લગ્ન કરેલી વિધવા સાથે લગ્ન કરી શકે. BSB BSB: And they shall not marry a widow or a divorced woman, but must marry a virgin of the descendants of the house of Israel, or a widow of a priest.
23 ULB તેઓ મારા લોકોને પવિત્ર તથા અપવિત્ર વચ્ચેનો ભેદ શીખવે; તેઓએ શુદ્ધ તથા અશુદ્ધ વચ્ચેનો ભેદ સમજાવવો. BSB BSB: They are to teach My people the difference between the holy and the common and show them how to discern between the clean and the unclean.
24 ULB તકરારમાં તેઓ મારા કાયદા અનુસાર ન્યાય કરવા ઊભા રહે; તેઓ મારા કાનૂનો પ્રમાણે ન્યાય કરે. અને તેઓ દરેક ઉત્સવોમાં મારા નિયમો તથા કાનૂનો પાળે; તેઓ મારા વિશ્રામવારો પાળે. BSB BSB: In any dispute, they shall officiate as judges and judge according to My ordinances. They must keep My laws and statutes regarding all My appointed feasts, and they must keep My Sabbaths holy.
25 ULB તેઓ માણસના મૃતદેહની પાસે જઈને પોતાને અશુદ્ધ કરે નહિ, તેમ જ તેઓના પિતા, માતા, દીકરા, દીકરી, ભાઈ કે બહેન પણ તે માણસ સાથે સૂઈ ગયા ના હોય, નહિ તો તેઓ અશુદ્ધ થશે. BSB BSB: A priest must not defile himself by going near a dead person. However, for a father, a mother, a son, a daughter, a brother, or an unmarried sister, he may do so,
26 ULB યાજક શુદ્ધ થયા પછી લોકો તેને માટે સાત દિવસ ગણે. BSB BSB: and after he is cleansed, he must count off seven days for himself.
27 ULB જે દિવસે તે પવિત્રસ્થાનમાં આવે, એટલે અંદરના આંગણામાં પવિત્રસ્થાનમાં આવે, ત્યારે તે પોતાના માટે પાપાર્થાપર્ણ લાવે.' આમ પ્રભુ યહોવાહ કહે છે. BSB BSB: And on the day he goes into the sanctuary, into the inner court, to minister in the sanctuary, he must present his sin offering, declares the Lord GOD.
28 ULB 'અને આ તેઓનો વારસો છે: હું તેઓનો વારસો છું, તમારે તેઓને ઇઝરાયલમાં કંઈ મિલકત આપવી નહિ; હું તેઓની મિલકત છું! BSB BSB: In regard to their inheritance, I am their inheritance. You are to give them no possession in Israel, for I am their possession.
29 ULB તેઓ ખાદ્યાર્પણ, પાપાર્થાર્પણ તથા દોષાર્થાર્પણ ખાય, ઇઝરાયલમાં અર્પણ કરેલી દરેક વસ્તુ તેઓને મળે. BSB BSB: They shall eat the grain offerings, the sin offerings, and the guilt offerings. Everything in Israel devoted to the LORD will belong to them.
30 ULB દરેક પેદાશમાંનાં પ્રથમ ફળમાંનો ઉત્તમ ભાગ, દરેક હિસ્સો, હા, સર્વ વસ્તુઓનો હિસ્સો યાજકોનો થાય, તમારા અનાજનો ઉત્તમ ભાગ યાજકોને આપવો, જેથી તમારા ઘર પર આશીર્વાદ રહે. BSB BSB: The best of all the firstfruits and of every contribution from all your offerings will belong to the priests. You are to give your first batch of dough to the priest, so that a blessing may rest upon your homes.
31 ULB યાજકોએ મૃત્યુ પામેલું કે ફાડી નંખાયેલું પક્ષી કે પશુ ન ખાવું. BSB BSB: The priests may not eat any bird or animal found dead or torn by wild beasts.
