1 ULB હવે પહેલા કરારમાં પણ ભજનસેવાના વિધિઓ તથા જગિક પવિત્રસ્થાન પણ હતું ખરું. BSB BSB: Now the first covenant had regulations for worship and also an earthly sanctuary.
2 ULB કેમ કે મંડપ તૈયાર કરાયેલો હતો, તેના આગળના ભાગમાં દીવી, મેજ તથા અર્પણ કરેલી રોટલી હતી, તે પવિત્રસ્થાન કહેવાતું હતું. BSB BSB: A tabernacle was prepared. In its first room were the lampstand, the table, and the consecrated bread. This was called the Holy Place.
3 ULB અને પડદાની પાછળ બીજો ભાગ હતો, તે પરમપવિત્રસ્થાન કહેવાતું હતું. BSB BSB: Behind the second curtain was a room called the Most Holy Place,
4 ULB તેમાં સોનાની ધૂપવેદી તથા ચારે તરફ સોનાથી મઢેલી કરારની પેટી હતી, એ પેટીમાં માન્નાથી ભરેલું સોનાનું પાત્ર તથા હારુનની કળી ફૂટેલી લાકડી તથા કરારના શિલાપટ હતા, BSB BSB: containing the golden altar of incense and the gold-covered ark of the covenant. Inside the ark were the gold jar of manna, Aaron’s staff that had budded, and the stone tablets of the covenant.
5 ULB અને તે પર ગૌરવી કરુબિમ હતા, તેઓની છાયા દયાસન પર પડતી હતી; હમણાં તેઓ સંબંધી અમારાથી વિગતવાર કહેવાય એમ નથી. BSB BSB: Above the ark were the cherubim of glory, overshadowing the mercy seat. But we cannot discuss these things in detail now.
6 ULB હવે ઉપર દર્શાવ્યાં મુજબ બધું તૈયાર થયા બાદ યાજકો કરાર કોશના આગળના ભાગમાં સેવા કરવાને નિત્ય જાય છે. BSB BSB: When everything had been prepared in this way, the priests entered regularly into the first room to perform their sacred duties.
7 ULB પણ બીજા ભાગમાં વર્ષમાં એક જ વાર ફક્ત પ્રમુખ યાજક જતો હતો; પણ તે લોહીનું અર્પણ કર્યા વિના જઈ શકતો ન હતો, જે તે પોતાના માટે તથા લોકોના અપરાધને માટે અર્પણ કરતો હતો. BSB BSB: But only the high priest entered the second room, and then only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance.
8 ULB તેથી પવિત્ર આત્મા એવું જણાવે છે કે જ્યાં સુધી પહેલો મંડપ હજી ઊભો છે ત્યાં સુધી પરમપવિત્રસ્થાનનો માર્ગ ખુલ્લો થયેલો નથી. BSB BSB: By this arrangement the Holy Spirit was showing that the way into the Most Holy Place had not yet been disclosed as long as the first tabernacle was still standing.
9 ULB વર્તમાનકાળને સારુ તે મંડપ ઉપમારૂપ હતો, જે પ્રમાણે આ પ્રકારનાં અર્પણો તથા બલિદાનો આપવામાં આવ્યા હતાં, ભજન કરનારનું અંતઃકરણ સંપૂર્ણ શુદ્ધ કરવાને અસમર્થ હતાં. BSB BSB: It is an illustration for the present time, because the gifts and sacrifices being offered were unable to cleanse the conscience of the worshiper.
10 ULB તેઓ, ખાવા, પીવા તથા અનેક પ્રકારની સ્નાનક્રિયા સાથે કેવળ શારીરિક વિધિઓ જ હતા, તે સુધારાનો યુગ આવવાના સમય સુધી જ ચાલવાના હતા. BSB BSB: They consist only in food and drink and special washings—external regulations imposed until the time of reform.
11 ULB ખ્રિસ્ત, હવે પછી થનારી સર્વ બાબતો સંબંધી પ્રમુખ યાજક થઈને, હાથથી તથા પૃથ્વી પરના પદાર્થોથી બનાવેલ નહિ એવા અતિ મહાન તથા અધિક સંપૂર્ણ મંડપમાં થઈને, BSB BSB: But when Christ came as high priest of the good things that have come, He went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not made by hands and is not a part of this creation.
12 ULB બકરાના તથા વાછરડાના લોહીથી નહિ, પણ પોતાના જ રક્તથી, માણસોને માટે અનંતકાળિક ઉદ્ધાર મેળવીને તે પરમપવિત્રસ્થાનમાં એક જ વાર ગયા હતા. BSB BSB: He did not enter by the blood of goats and calves, but He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by His own blood, thus securing eternal redemption.
13 ULB કેમ કે જો બકરાનું લોહી, ગોધાઓનું લોહી તથા વાછરડીની રાખ, અપવિત્રો પર છાંટવાથી તે શરીરને શુદ્ધ અને પવિત્ર કરે છે, BSB BSB: For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that their bodies are clean,
14 ULB તો ખ્રિસ્ત, જે અનંતકાળિક આત્માથી પોતે ઈશ્વરને દોષ વગરનું અર્પણ થયા, તેમનું રક્ત તમારાં અંતઃકરણને જીવંત ઈશ્વરને ભજવા માટે નિર્જીવ કામો કરતાં કેટલું વિશેષ શુદ્ધ કરશે? BSB BSB: how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God, purify our consciences from works of death, so that we may serve the living God!
15 ULB માટે પહેલા કરારના સમયે જે ઉલ્લંઘનો કરવામાં આવ્યા હતાં, તેના ઉદ્ધારને માટે પોતે બલિદાન આપે મરણ આપે અને જેઓને તેડવામાં આવ્યા છે તેઓને અનંતકાળના વારસાનું વચન પ્રાપ્ત થાય માટે તે નવા કરારના મધ્યસ્થ છે. BSB BSB: Therefore Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, now that He has died to redeem them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.
16 ULB કેમ કે જ્યાં વસિયતનામું છે, ત્યાં વસિયતનામું કરનારનું મૃત્યુ થાય એ જરૂરી છે. BSB BSB: In the case of a will, it is necessary to establish the death of the one who made it,
17 ULB કેમ કે વસિયતનામાનો અમલ માણસના મૃત્યુ પછી થાય છે; એ વસિયતનામું કરનાર જીવિત હોય ત્યાં સુધી કદી તે ઉપયોગી હોય ખરું? BSB BSB: because a will does not take effect until the one who made it has died; it cannot be executed while he is still alive.
18 ULB એ માટે પહેલા કરારની પ્રતિષ્ઠા પણ રક્ત વિના થઈ ન હતી. BSB BSB: That is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood.
19 ULB કેમ કે મૂસાએ નિયમશાસ્ત્ર પ્રમાણે દરેક આજ્ઞા સર્વ લોકોને કહી સંભળાવી પછી, પાણી, કિરમજી ઊન તથા ઝૂફા સહિત વાછરડાનું તથા બકરાનું લોહી લીધું, અને તેને પુસ્તક પર તથા સર્વ લોકો પર પણ છાંટીને કહ્યું કે, BSB BSB: For when Moses had proclaimed every commandment of the law to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, along with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people,
20 ULB ‘જે કરાર ઈશ્વરે તમને ઠરાવી આપ્યો છે તેનું રક્ત એ જ છે. BSB BSB: saying, “This is the blood of the covenant, which God has commanded you to keep.”
21 ULB તેણે તે જ રીતે મંડપ પર તથા સેવાના સઘળાં પાત્રો પર પણ લોહી છાંટ્યું હતું. BSB BSB: In the same way, he sprinkled with blood the tabernacle and all the vessels used in worship.
22 ULB નિયમશાસ્ત્ર પ્રમાણે ઘણું કરીને સઘળી વસ્તુઓ રક્તદ્વારા શુદ્ધ કરાય છે અને રક્ત વહેવડાવ્યા વગર પાપની માફી મળતી નથી. BSB BSB: According to the law, in fact, nearly everything must be purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
23 ULB સ્વર્ગમાંની વસ્તુઓના નમૂનાનાં પદાર્થોને આવી રીતે શુદ્ધ કરવાની અગત્ય હતી, પણ આકાશી વસ્તુઓને તે કરતાં વધારે સારા બલિદાનોથી શુદ્ધ કરવામાં આવે એવી અગત્ય હતી. BSB BSB: So it was necessary for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
25 ULB જેમ અગાઉ પ્રમુખ યાજક બીજાનું લોહી લઈને દર વર્ષે પરમપવિત્રસ્થાનમાં જતો હતો, તેમ તેને વારંવાર પોતાનું બલિદાન અર્પણ કરવાની જરૂરિયાત રહી નથી. BSB BSB: Nor did He enter heaven to offer Himself again and again, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own.
26 ULB કેમ કે જો એમ હોત, તો સૃષ્ટિના આરંભથી ઘણી વખત તેમને દુઃખ સહન કરવાની જરૂરિયાત ઊભી થાત; પણ હવે છેલ્લાં સમયમાં પોતાના બલિદાનથી પાપને દૂર કરવા માટે તેઓ એક જ વખત પ્રગટ થયા. BSB BSB: Otherwise, Christ would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But now He has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of Himself.
