1 ULB કેમ કે યહોવાહ યાકૂબ પર દયા કરશે; તે ફરીથી ઇઝરાયલને પસંદ કરશે અને તેઓને પોતાની ભૂમિમાં વસાવશે. વિદેશીઓ તેઓની સાથે જોડાશે અને તેઓ યાકૂબના સંતાનોની સાથે જોડાશે. BSB BSB: For the LORD will have compassion on Jacob; once again He will choose Israel and settle them in their own land. The foreigner will join them and unite with the house of Jacob.
2 ULB લોકો તેઓને તેઓના વતનમાં પાછા લાવશે. પછી યહોવાહની ભૂમિમાં ઇઝરાયલીઓ તેઓને દાસ અને દાસી તરીકે રાખશે. તેઓ પોતાને બંદીવાન કરનારાઓને બંદીવાન કરી લેશે અને તેઓના પર જુલમ કરનારાઓ પર તેઓ અધિકાર ચલાવશે. 3 ULB યહોવાહ તને તારા કલેશથી તથા તારા સંતાપથી અને તમે જે સખત વૈતરું કર્યું છે તેમાંથી વિસામો આપશે. BSB BSB: On the day that the LORD gives you rest from your pain and torment, and from the hard labor into which you were forced,
4 ULB તે દિવસે તું બાબિલના રાજાને મહેણાં મારીને આ ગીત ગાશે, "જુલમીનો કેવો અંત આવ્યો છે, તેના ઉગ્ર ક્રોધનો કેવો અંત થયો છે! BSB BSB: you will sing this song of contempt against the king of Babylon: How the oppressor has ceased, and how his fury has ended!
5 ULB યહોવાહે દુષ્ટની સોટી, અધિકારીઓની છડી તોડી છે, BSB BSB: The LORD has broken the staff of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers.
6 ULB જે સોટી કોપમાં લોકોને નિરંતર મારતી અને ક્રોધમાં નિરંકુશ સતાવણીથી પ્રજાઓ પર અમલ કરતી તેને યહોવાહે ભાગી નાખી છે. BSB BSB: It struck the peoples in anger with unceasing blows; it subdued the nations in rage with relentless persecution.
7 ULB આખી પૃથ્વી વિશ્રામ પામીને શાંત થયેલી છે; તેઓ ગીતો ગાઈને હર્ષનાદ કરવા માંડે છે. BSB BSB: All the earth is at peace and at rest; they break out in song.
8 ULB હા, લબાનોનનાં દેવદાર અને એરેજવૃક્ષો તારે લીધે આનંદ કરે છે; તેઓ કહે છે, 'તું પડ્યો ત્યારથી કોઈ કઠિયારો અમારા ઉપર ચઢી આવ્યો નથી.' BSB BSB: Even the cypresses and cedars of Lebanon exult over you: “Since you have been laid low, no woodcutter comes against us.”
9 ULB જ્યારે તું ઊંડાણમાં જાય ત્યારે શેઓલ તને ત્યાં મળવાને આતુર થઈ રહ્યું છે. તે તારે લીધે પૃથ્વીના સર્વ રાજાઓને તથા મૂએલાઓના આત્માઓને જાગૃત કરે છે, વિદેશીઓના સર્વ રાજાઓને તેમના રાજ્યાસન પરથી ઉતાર્યા છે. BSB BSB: Sheol beneath is eager to meet you upon your arrival. It stirs the spirits of the dead to greet you—all the rulers of the earth. It makes all the kings of the nations rise from their thrones.
10 ULB તેઓ સર્વ બોલી ઊઠશે અને તને કહેશે, 'તું પણ અમારા જેવો નબળો થયો છે, તું અમારા સરખો થયો છે. BSB BSB: They will all respond to you, saying, “You too have become weak, as we are; you have become like us!”
11 ULB તારા વૈભવને તથા તારા ગૌરવ માટે વાગતી વીણાના અવાજને શેઓલ સુધી ઉતારવામાં આવ્યા છે. તારી નીચે અળસિયાં પાથરેલાં છે અને કૃમિ તને ઢાંકે છે.' BSB BSB: Your pomp has been brought down to Sheol, along with the music of your harps. Maggots are your bed and worms your blanket.
12 ULB હે તેજસ્વી તારા, પ્રભાતના પુત્ર, તું ઊંચે આકાશમાંથી કેમ પડ્યો છે! બીજી પ્રજાઓ પર જય પામનાર, તને કેમ કાપી નાખીને જમીનદોસ્ત કરવામાં આવ્યો છે! BSB BSB: How you have fallen from heaven, O day star, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the ground, O destroyer of nations.
13 ULB તેં તારા હૃદયમાં કહ્યું હતું, 'હું આકાશમાં ઊંચે ચઢીશ અને ઈશ્વરના તારાઓ કરતાં પણ મારું સિંહાસન ઊંચું રાખીશ અને હું છેક ઉત્તરના છેડાના, સભાના પર્વત પર બેસીશ; BSB BSB: You said in your heart: “I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God. I will sit on the mount of assembly, in the far reaches of the north.
14 ULB હું સર્વથી ઊંચાં વાદળો પર ચઢી જઈશ; અને હું પોતાને પરાત્પર ઈશ્વર સમાન કરીશ.' BSB BSB: I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.”
15 ULB તે છતાં તને શેઓલ સુધી નીચે, અધોલોકના તળિયે પાડવામાં આવ્યો છે! BSB BSB: But you will be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the Pit.
16 ULB જ્યારે તેઓ તને જોશે તને નિહાળશે; તેઓ તારા વિશે વિચાર કરશે. તેઓ કહેશે કે 'શું આ એ જ માણસ છે, જેણે પૃથ્વીને થથરાવી હતી, જેણે રાજ્યોને ડોલાવ્યાં હતાં, BSB BSB: Those who see you will stare; they will ponder your fate: “Is this the man who shook the earth and made the kingdoms tremble,

19 ULB પરંતુ જેઓને તલવારથી વીંધીને મારી નાખવામાં આવ્યા છે, જેઓ ખાડાના પથ્થરોમાં ઊતરી જનારા છે, તેઓથી વેષ્ટિત થઈને તુચ્છ ડાળીની જેમ તને તારી પોતાની કબરથી દૂર ફેંકી દેવામાં આવ્યો છે. BSB BSB: But you are cast out of your grave like a rejected branch, covered by those slain with the sword, and dumped into a rocky pit like a carcass trampled underfoot.
20 ULB તું ખૂંદાયેલા મૃતદેહ જેવો છે, તને તેઓની સાથે દાટવામાં આવશે નહિ, કારણ કે તેં જ તારા દેશનો નાશ કર્યો છે. તેં જ તારા પોતાના લોકની કતલ કરી છે દુર્જનોનાં સંતાનના નામ ફરી કોઈ લેશે નહિ." BSB BSB: You will not join them in burial, since you have destroyed your land and slaughtered your own people. The offspring of the wicked will never again be mentioned.
21 ULB તેઓના પિતૃઓના અન્યાયને લીધે તેઓના દીકરાઓને સંહાર માટે તૈયાર કરો, રખેને તેઓ ઊઠે અને પૃથ્વીનું વતન પામે, તથા જગતને નગરોથી ભરી દે. BSB BSB: Prepare a place to slaughter his sons for the iniquities of their forefathers. They will never rise up to possess a land or cover the earth with their cities.
22 ULB સૈન્યોના યહોવાહ કહે છે, "હું તેઓની સામે ઊઠીશ." "બાબિલમાંથી તેઓનું નામ તથા શેષ સંતાનોને કાપી નાખીશ," યહોવાહનું વચન એવું છે. BSB BSB: “I will rise up against them,” declares the LORD of Hosts. “I will cut off from Babylon her name and her remnant, her offspring and her posterity,” declares the LORD.
23 ULB "હું તેને પણ ઘુવડોનું વતન તથા પાણીનાં ખાબોચિયાં જેવું કરી દઈશ અને હું વિનાશના ઝાડુથી તેને સાફ કરી નાખીશ." આ સૈન્યોના યહોવાહનું વચન છે. BSB BSB: “I will make her a place for owls and for swamplands; I will sweep her away with the broom of destruction,” declares the LORD of Hosts.
24 ULB સૈન્યોના યહોવાહે શપથ લીધા છે, "નિશ્ચિત, જે પ્રમાણે મેં ધારણા કરી છે, તે પ્રમાણે નક્કી થશે; અને મેં જે ઠરાવ કર્યો છે તે કાયમ રહેશે: BSB BSB: The LORD of Hosts has sworn: “Surely, as I have planned, so will it be; as I have purposed, so will it stand.
25 ULB એટલે મારા દેશમાં હું આશ્શૂરનાં ટુકડેટુકડા કરીશ અને મારા પર્વતો પર હું તેને પગ નીચે ખૂંદી નાખીશ. ત્યારે તેની ઝૂંસરી તેઓ પરથી ઊતરી જશે અને તેનો ભાર તેઓના ખભા પરથી ઊતરી જશે." BSB BSB: I will break Assyria in My land; I will trample him on My mountain. His yoke will be taken off My people, and his burden removed from their shoulders.”
26 ULB જે સંકલ્પ આખી પૃથ્વી વિષે કરેલો છે તે એ છે અને જે હાથ સર્વ દેશો સામે ઉગામેલો છે તે એ છે. BSB BSB: This is the plan devised for the whole earth, and this is the hand stretched out over all the nations.
27 ULB કેમ કે સૈન્યોના યહોવાહે જે યોજના કરી છે; તેમને કોણ રોકશે? તેમનો હાથ ઉગામેલો છે, તેને કોણ પાછો ફેરવશે? BSB BSB: The LORD of Hosts has purposed, and who can thwart Him? His hand is outstretched, so who can turn it back?
28 ULB આહાઝ રાજા મરણ પામ્યો તે વર્ષે આ જાહેરાત કરવામાં આવી: BSB BSB: In the year that King Ahaz died, this burden was received:
29 ULB હે સર્વ પલિસ્તીઓ, જે છડીએ તમને માર્યા તે ભાંગી ગઈ છે, એ માટે હરખાશો નહિ. કેમ કે સાપના મૂળમાંથી નાગ નીકળશે અને તેમાંથી ઊડતા સાપ પેદા થશે. BSB BSB: Do not rejoice, all you Philistines, that the rod that struck you is broken. For a viper will spring from the root of the snake, and a flying serpent from its egg.
30 ULB ગરીબોના પ્રથમજનિત ખાશે અને જરૂરતમંદો સુરક્ષામાં સૂઈ જશે. હું તારા મૂળને દુકાળથી મારી નાખીશ અને તારા સર્વ બચેલાની કતલ કરવામાં આવશે. BSB BSB: Then the firstborn of the poor will find pasture, and the needy will lie down in safety, but I will kill your root by famine, and your remnant will be slain.
31 ULB વિલાપ કર, હે પલિસ્તી દેશ; વિલાપ કર, હે નગર તું પીગળી જા. કેમ કે ઉત્તર તરફથી ધુમાડાનાં વાદળ આવે છે અને તેમના સૈન્યમાં કોઈ પાછળ રહી જનાર નથી. BSB BSB: Wail, O gate! Cry out, O city! Melt away, all you Philistines! For a cloud of smoke comes from the north, and there are no stragglers in its ranks.
32 ULB તો દેશના સંદેશવાહકોને કેવો ઉત્તર આપવો? તે આ કે, યહોવાહે સિયોનનો પાયો નાખેલો છે અને તેમના લોકોમાંના જેઓ દીન છે તેઓ તેમાં આશ્રય લઈ શકે છે. BSB BSB: What answer will be given to the envoys of that nation? “The LORD has founded Zion, where His afflicted people will find refuge.”
