2 ULB અરે, ઘોંઘાટિયા નગર, ખુશામતથી ભરપૂર નગર, તારા મૃત્યુ પામેલા તલવારથી મારેલા નથી અને તેઓ યુદ્ધમાં માર્યા ગયા નથી. BSB BSB: O city of commotion, O town of revelry? Your slain did not die by the sword, nor were they killed in battle.

5 ULB કેમ કે, દર્શનની ખીણમાં પ્રભુ યહોવાહે મોકલેલો ગડગડાટ, પાયમાલી તથા ઘોંઘાટ નો દિવસ છે, કોટ નો નાશ કરવાનો અને પર્વતની તરફ વિલાપ કરવાનો તે દિવસ છે. BSB BSB: For the Lord GOD of Hosts has set a day of tumult and trampling and confusion in the Valley of Vision—of breaking down the walls and crying to the mountains.
6 ULB એલામના પાયદળ તથા ઘોડેસવારોની ટુકડીઓ સહિત ભાથો ઊંચકી લીધો; અને કીરે ઢાલ ઉઘાડી કરી છે. BSB BSB: Elam takes up a quiver, with chariots and horsemen, and Kir uncovers the shield.
7 ULB તારી ઉત્તમ ખીણો રથોથી ભરપૂર થઈ ગઈ હતી, અને ઘોડેસવારો દરવાજા આગળ પહેરો ભરતા ઊભા રહ્યા હતા." BSB BSB: Your choicest valleys are full of chariots, and horsemen are posted at the gates.

11 ULB વળી તમે બે કોટોની વચમાં પુરાતન તળાવનાં પાણીને માટે કુંડ કર્યો. પરંતુ તમે નગરનાં કર્તાની તરફ, જેણે અગાઉથી આ યોજના કરી હતી તેની તરફ લક્ષ લગાડ્યું નહિ. 12 ULB પ્રભુ, સૈન્યોના યહોવાહે તે દિવસે તમને રડવાને, વિલાપ કરવાને, માથું મુંડાવવાને તથા ટાટ પહેરવાને બોલાવ્યા. BSB BSB: On that day the Lord GOD of Hosts called for weeping and wailing, for shaven heads and the wearing of sackcloth.
13 ULB પરંતુ જુઓ, તેને બદલે આનંદ અને હર્ષ, બળદ મારવાનું અને ઘેટા કાપવાનું, માંસ ખાવાનું અને દ્રાક્ષારસ પીવાનું ચાલે છે, કેમ કે કાલે તો આપણે મરી જઈશું. BSB BSB: But look, there is joy and gladness, butchering of cattle and slaughtering of sheep, eating of meat and drinking of wine: “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!”
14 ULB મારા કાનોમાં સૈન્યોના યહોવાહે કહ્યું: "ખરેખર, આ અન્યાય તમને માફ કરવામાં આવશે નહિ, તમે મૃત્યુ પામો ત્યારે પણ નહિ," પ્રભુ, સૈન્યોના યહોવાહે કહ્યું છે. BSB BSB: The LORD of Hosts has revealed in my hearing: “Until your dying day, this sin of yours will never be atoned for,” says the Lord GOD of Hosts.
16 ULB 'તારું અહીં શું છે અને તું કોણ છે કે તેં પોતાને માટે અહીં કબર ખોદી છે? તું ઊંચે પોતાની કબર ખોદે છે, ખડકમાં પોતાને માટે રહેઠાણ કોતરે છે!'" BSB BSB: What are you doing here, and who authorized you to carve out a tomb for yourself here—to chisel your tomb in the height and cut your resting place in the rock?
17 ULB જુઓ, યહોવાહ શૂરવીરની જેમ તને જોરથી ફેંકી દેશે; તે તને મજબૂતાઈથી પકડી રાખશે. BSB BSB: Look, O mighty man! The LORD is about to shake you violently. He will take hold of you,
18 ULB તે નિશ્ચે તને દડાની જેમ લપેટી લપેટીને વિશાળ દેશમાં ફેંકી દેશે. ત્યાં તારું મૃત્યુ થશે અને તારા શોભાયમાન રથો ત્યાં જ રહેશે; તે તારા ધણીના ઘરને કલંક લગાડનાર થશે. BSB BSB: roll you into a ball, and sling you into a wide land. There you will die, and there your glorious chariots will remain—a disgrace to the house of your master.
19 ULB "હું તને તારી પદવી અને સ્થાન પરથી હડસેલી કાઢીશ. તને તારી જગાએથી પાડી નાખીશ. BSB BSB: I will remove you from office, and you will be ousted from your position.
20 ULB તે દિવસે હું મારા સેવક હિલ્કિયાના દીકરા એલિયાકીમને બોલાવીશ. BSB BSB: On that day I will summon My servant, Eliakim son of Hilkiah.
21 ULB હું તેને તારો પોશાક પહેરાવીશ, તારો કમરબંધ તેની કમરે બાંધીશ, હું તેના હાથમાં તારો અધિકાર સોંપીશ. તે યરુશાલેમના રહેવાસીઓ સાથે તથા યહૂદિયાના માણસો સાથે પિતાની જેમ વર્તશે. BSB BSB: I will clothe him with your robe and tie your sash around him. I will put your authority in his hand, and he will be a father to the dwellers of Jerusalem and to the house of Judah.
22 ULB હું દાઉદના ઘરની ચાવી તેના ખભા પર મૂકીશ; તે ઉઘાડશે તેને કોઈ બંધ નહિ કરી શકે; તે બંધ કરશે તેને કોઈ ઉઘાડી નહિ શકે. BSB BSB: I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.
23 ULB હું તેને મજબૂત સ્થાનમાં ખીલાની જેમ ઠોકી બેસાડીશ અને તે પોતાના પિતાના કુટુંબને માટે ગૌરવનું સિંહાસન થશે. BSB BSB: I will drive him like a peg into a firm place, and he will be a throne of glory for the house of his father.

25 ULB સૈન્યોના યહોવાહનું એવું વચન છે કે, "તે દિવસે મજબૂત સ્થાનમાં જે ખીલો ઠોકી બેસાડેલો હતો તે નીકળી આવશે; અને તેના પર જે ભાર હતો તે નષ્ટ થશે" કેમ કે આ યહોવાહ એવું બોલ્યા છે. BSB BSB: In that day, declares the LORD of Hosts, the peg driven into a firm place will give way; it will be sheared off and fall, and the load upon it will be cut down.” Indeed, the LORD has spoken.
