6 ULB એમ અમે તે કોટ બાંધ્યો અને લોકોનો ઉત્સાહ એટલો બધો હતો કે આખો કોટ તેની નિર્ધારિત ઊંચાઈથી અડધા ભાગનો કોટ તો તેઓએ જોતજોતામાં બાંધી દીધો. BSB BSB: So we rebuilt the wall until all of it was joined together up to half its height, for the people had a mind to work.
7 ULB પરંતુ જ્યારે સાન્બાલ્લાટે, ટોબિયાએ, આરબોએ, આમ્મોનીઓએ અને આશ્દોદીઓએ સાંભળ્યું કે, યરુશાલેમના કોટના મરામતનું કામ આગળ વધી રહ્યું છે અને પડેલા મોટાં ગાબડાં પુરાવા માંડ્યા છે, ત્યારે તેઓ ખૂબ ગુસ્સે થઈ ગયા. BSB BSB: When Sanballat and Tobiah, together with the Arabs, Ammonites, and Ashdodites, heard that the repair to the walls of Jerusalem was progressing and that the gaps were being closed, they were furious,
8 ULB તેઓ બધા એકઠા થયા અને તેઓને તેઓના કામમાં ભંગાણ પાડવા માટે યોજના કરી. તેઓ યરુશાલેમ વિરુદ્ધ લડવા માટે આવ્યા. BSB BSB: and all of them conspired to come and fight against Jerusalem and create a hindrance.

11 ULB અમારા શત્રુઓએ એવું કહ્યું, "આપણે તેઓના પર તૂટી પડીને તેઓને ખબર પડે કે તેઓ આપણને જુએ તે પહેલાં તેઓને મારી નાખીશું અને કામ પણ અટકાવી દઈશું." BSB BSB: And our enemies said, “Before they know or see a thing, we will come into their midst, kill them, and put an end to the work.”
12 ULB તે સમયે તેઓની પડોશમાં રહેતા યહૂદીઓએ અમારી પાસે દસ વાર આવીને અમને ચેતવ્યા કે, "તેઓ સર્વ દિશાએથી આપણી વિરુદ્ધ ભેગા થઈ રહ્યા છે." BSB BSB: At that time the Jews who lived nearby came and told us ten times over, “Wherever you turn, they will attack us.”
13 ULB તેથી મેં કોટની પાછળ ખુલ્લી જગ્યાઓમાં સૌથી નીચેના ભાગમાં લોકોને તેઓનાં કુટુંબો પ્રમાણે, તલવારો, ભાલાઓ તથા ધનુષ્યબાણ વડે સજ્જ કરીને બેસાડ્યા. BSB BSB: So I stationed men behind the lowest sections of the wall, at the vulnerable areas. I stationed them by families with their swords, spears, and bows.
14 ULB મેં અધિકારીઓને તથા બીજા લોકોને ઉદ્દેશીને કહ્યું, "તમારે તે લોકોથી ડરવું નહિ. આપણા પ્રભુ યહોવાહ કેવા મહાન અને ભયાવહ છે તે યાદ કરીને તમારા ભાઈઓ, પુત્રો, પુત્રીઓ, પત્નીઓ અને તમારા ઘર માટે લડો." BSB BSB: After I had made an inspection, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials, and the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.”
15 ULB જયારે અમારા શત્રુઓએ સાંભળ્યું કે અમને તેઓની યોજનાની જાણ થઈ ગઈ છે અને યહોવાહે તેઓની યોજના નિષ્ફળ બનાવી છે ત્યારે અમે સર્વ કોટ બાંધવા માટે પોતપોતાના કામ પર પાછા આવ્યા. BSB BSB: When our enemies heard that we were aware of their scheme and that God had frustrated it, each of us returned to his own work on the wall.
16 ULB તે દિવસથી મારા અડધા ચાકરો બાંધકામ કરતા અને બાકીના ભાલા, ઢાલ, તીરકામઠાં અને બખ્તર ધારણ કરીને ચોકી કરવા માટે ઊભા રહેતા. અને યહૂદિયાના બધા લોકોને આગેવાનો તેઓની સાથે રહીને પીઠબળ પૂરું પાડતા હતા. BSB BSB: And from that day on, half of my servants did the work while the other half held spears, shields, bows, and armor. The officers stationed themselves behind all the people of Judah

19 ULB મેં અમીરોને, અધિકારીઓને અને બાકીના લોકોને કહ્યું, "કામ વિશાળ અને મોટું છે. આપણે કોટની ફરતે અલગ અલગ પડી ગયેલાં છીએ. BSB BSB: Then I said to the nobles, the officials, and the rest of the people: “The work is great and extensive, and we are spread out far from one another along the wall.
20 ULB તો તમે જ્યાં પણ હો, તે જગ્યાએ જ્યારે રણશિંગડાંનો અવાજ સાંભળો ત્યારે એકસાથે બધા લોકો દોડીને મારી પાસે ભેગા થઈ જજો, આપણા ઈશ્વર આપણા માટે યુદ્ધ કરશે." BSB BSB: Wherever you hear the sound of the horn, rally to us there. Our God will fight for us!”
21 ULB આ પ્રમાણે અમે પુન:નિર્માણનું કામ આગળ ચલાવતા હતા અને અમારામાંના અડધા સવારથી રાતે તારા દેખાય ત્યાં સુધી હાથમાં ભાલા લઈને ઊભા રહેતા હતા. BSB BSB: So we continued the work, while half of the men held spears from the break of dawn until the stars came out.
22 ULB મેં તેઓને તે સમયે એમ કહ્યું કે, "દરેક માણસે તેના ચાકરસહિત યરુશાલેમમાં જ રહેવું, જેથી તેઓ રાત્રે અમારું રક્ષણ કરે અને દિવસે કામ કરે." BSB BSB: At that time I also said to the people, “Let every man and his servant spend the night inside Jerusalem, so that they can stand guard by night and work by day.”
23 ULB આમ, હું, મારા ભાઈઓ, મારા ચાકરો કે મારી પાછળ ચાલતા રક્ષકો કોઈ કદી વસ્ત્રો ઉતારતા નહિ અને અમારા દરેક જણ પાસે શસ્ત્રો અને પાણી હતા. BSB BSB: So neither I nor my brothers nor my servants nor the guards with me changed out of our clothes; each carried his weapon, even to go for water.
