1 ULB માટે જો ખ્રિસ્તમાં કંઈ ઉત્તેજન, જો પ્રેમનો કંઈ દિલાસો, જો પવિત્ર આત્માની કંઈ સંગત, જો કંઈ હૃદયની અનુકંપા તથા કરુણા હોય, BSB BSB: Therefore if you have any encouragement in Christ, if any comfort from His love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any affection and compassion,
2 ULB તો મારો આનંદ એવી રીતે સંપૂર્ણ કરો કે, તમે એક જ મનના થાઓ, એક સરખો પ્રેમ રાખો, એક જીવના તથા એક હૃદયના થાઓ. BSB BSB: then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being united in spirit and purpose.
3 ULB પક્ષાપક્ષીથી કે મિથ્યાભિમાનથી કશું કરો નહિ, દરેકે નમ્ર ભાવથી પોતાના કરતાં બીજાઓને ઉત્તમ ગણવા. BSB BSB: Do nothing out of selfish ambition or empty pride, but in humility consider others more important than yourselves.
4 ULB તમે દરેક માત્ર પોતાના હિત પર જ નહિ, પણ બીજાઓનાં હિત પર પણ લક્ષ રાખો. BSB BSB: Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
6 ULB પોતે ઈશ્વરના રૂપમાં હોવા છતાં, તેમણે ઈશ્વર સમાન હોવાનું પકડી રાખવાને ઇચ્છ્યું નહિ, BSB BSB: Who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
7 ULB પણ તેમણે દાસનું રૂપ ધારણ કરીને, એટલે માણસોની સમાનતામાં આવીને પોતાને ખાલી કર્યા; BSB BSB: but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in human likeness.
8 ULB અને માણસના રૂપમાં પ્રગટ થઈને, વધસ્તંભ પરના મરણને આધીન થઈને પોતાને નમ્ર કર્યા. BSB BSB: And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross.
11 ULB અને ઈશ્વરપિતાના મહિમાને અર્થે દરેક જીભ કબૂલ કરે કે ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્ત પ્રભુ છે. BSB BSB: and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12 ULB તેથી, મારા પ્રિય ભાઈઓ, તમે જેમ હંમેશા આધીન રહેતા હતા તેમ, કેવળ મારી હાજરીમાં જ નહિ, પણ હવે વિશેષે કરીને મારી ગેરહાજરીમાં પણ તમારો ઉદ્ધાર થાય માટે ભય તથા કંપારીસહિત પ્રયત્ન કરો. BSB BSB: Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now even more in my absence, continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.
13 ULB કેમ કે જે પોતાની પ્રસન્નતા પ્રમાણે તમારામાં ઇચ્છવાની તથા પ્રયત્ન કરવાની પ્રેરણા આપે છે, તે તો ઈશ્વર છે. BSB BSB: For it is God who works in you to will and to act on behalf of His good purpose.
14 ULB બડબડાટ તથા તકરાર વગર બધું કરો BSB BSB: Do everything without complaining or arguing,
15 ULB કે, જેથી કુટિલ તથા આડી પ્રજા મધ્યે તમે નિર્દોષ તથા સાલસ, ઈશ્વરનાં નિષ્કલંક સંતાન, જીવનનું વચન પ્રગટ કરીને દુનિયામાં જ્યોતિઓ તરીકે પ્રકાશો. BSB BSB: so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and perverse generation, in which you shine as lights in the world
16 ULB જેથી ખ્રિસ્તનાં સમયમાં મને ગર્વ કરવાનું એવું કારણ મળે કે હું નિરર્થક દોડ્યો નથી અને મેં વ્યર્થ શ્રમ કર્યો નથી. BSB BSB: as you hold forth the word of life, in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.
17 ULB પણ જો હું તમારા વિશ્વાસના અર્પણ તથા સેવા પર રેડાવું પડે તોપણ હું આનંદ કરીશ અને તમારી સર્વની સાથે આનંદ કરીશ. BSB BSB: But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you.
18 ULB એમ જ તમે પણ મારી સાથે આનંદમાં સહભાગી બનો. BSB BSB: So you too should be glad and rejoice with me.
19 ULB પણ હું પ્રભુ ઈસુમાં આશા રાખું છું કે, હું તિમોથીને તમારી પાસે વહેલો મોકલીશ, જેથી તમારી ખબર જાણીને મને પણ આનંદ થાય. BSB BSB: Now I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, that I also may be cheered when I learn how you are doing.
20 ULB કેમ કે તમારી સંભાળ સારી રીતે રાખે તેવો તિમોથી જેવા સારા સ્વભાવવાળો બીજો કોઈ માણસ મારી પાસે નથી. BSB BSB: I have nobody else like him who will genuinely care for your needs.
21 ULB કેમ કે સર્વ માણસો ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુની વાત નહિ, પણ પોતાની જ વાત શોધે છે. BSB BSB: For all the others look after their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.
22 ULB પણ તમને તો અનુભવથી ખાતરી થઈ છે કે જેમ દીકરો પિતાની સાથે કામ કરે, તેમ તેણે સુવાર્તા ના પ્રસાર ને માટે મારી સાથે સેવા કરી. BSB BSB: But you know Timothy’s proven worth, that as a child with his father he has served with me to advance the gospel.
23 ULB એ માટે હું આશા રાખું છું કે, જયારે મારા વિષે શું થવાનું છે તે હું જાણીશ કે તરત હું તેને મોકલી દઈશ; BSB BSB: So I hope to send him as soon as I see what happens with me.
24 ULB વળી હું પ્રભુમાં ભરોસો રાખું છું કે, હું પોતે પણ વહેલો આવીશ. BSB BSB: And I trust in the Lord that I myself will come soon.
25 ULB તોપણ મારો ભાઈ એપાફ્રોદિતસ, મારી સાથે કામ કરનાર તથા સહયોદ્ધો, તેમ જ તમારો સંદેશવાહક તથા મારી જરૂરિયાત પૂરી પાડનાર છે’ તેને તમારી પાસે મોકલવાની અગત્ય મને જણાઈ; BSB BSB: But I thought it necessary to send back to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, and fellow soldier, who is also your messenger and minister to my needs.
26 ULB કારણ કે તે તમો સર્વ પર બહુ પ્રેમ રાખતો હતો અને તે ઘણો ઉદાસ હતો, કેમ કે તમે સાંભળ્યું હતું કે તે બીમાર છે; BSB BSB: For he has been longing for all of you and is distressed because you heard he was ill.
27 ULB તે મરણતોલ બીમાર હતો ખરો; પણ ઈશ્વરે તેના પર દયા કરી, કેવળ તેના પર જ નહિ, પણ મારા પર પણ કે, મને શોક ન થાય અને આઘાત ન લાગે. BSB BSB: He was sick indeed, nearly unto death. But God had mercy on him, and not only on him but also on me, to spare me sorrow upon sorrow.
28 ULB તમે તેને જોઈને ફરીથી ખુશ થાઓ અને મારું દુઃખ પણ ઓછું થાય, માટે મેં ખૂબ ઉતાવળે તેને મોકલ્યો. BSB BSB: Therefore I am all the more eager to send him, so that when you see him again you may rejoice, and I may be less anxious.
29 ULB માટે તમે પૂર્ણ આનંદથી પ્રભુને નામે તેનો આદરસત્કાર કરો; અને એવાઓને માનયોગ્ય ગણો; BSB BSB: Welcome him in the Lord with great joy, and honor men like him,
30 ULB કેમ કે ખ્રિસ્તનાં કામને માટે તે મરણની નજીક આવી ગયો અને મારે અર્થે તમારી સેવામાં જે અધૂરું હતું તે સંપૂર્ણ કરવાને તેણે પોતાનો જીવ જોખમમાં નાખ્યો. BSB BSB: because he nearly died for the work of Christ, risking his life to make up for your deficit of service to me.
