1. 1GYLየሱስ ኮታርንካ ዉትሶ ይንታ ፍጨናር Ꮊዴ፥ ክታ ካርንካ ጎርስምድባብከሰረ ክትም ጎርስምሰኬ።BSBBSB: Jesus went on from there and came to His hometown, accompanied by His disciples.
2. 2GYLአይሁድንታ Ꮊዉስ ሰጨንካ ከታ ምክስ ኤሄናር ኤስስ የጄ፥ በድ ኤድንከስ ኮታር Ꮊፈርሰኮ ክደር ኤሰርድ Ꮊቀኬ፥ ከተረ “ኮና ኤችና ኮም ሙዳ ርን Ꮊምንክክ Ꮊፍሳሬ? Ꮊስግንዳ ኤጫ ክትካንታ እምምሳረ? ከትከነም አተን ክት ይድንዳ Ꮊስግንደረ?” ጋየረኮ በርእድ Ꮊቀኬ።BSBBSB: When the Sabbath came, He began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard Him were astonished. “Where did this man get these ideas?” they asked. “What is this wisdom He has been given? And how can He perform such miracles?
3. 3GYLኮታዘንከረ “የለተ ኖኮና Ꮊቀን Ꮊዝድባብ ማራመታ ይንች ካዮ? ያይቆበታ፥ ዮሰታ ይሁደተኬ ስምኦነታ እስመና ካዮ? ክታ ምችነንከሰረ ኬና ዎንካ ክክን ካየኮ?” ጋየረኮ ክትም ቶቸካ ኤሰርክሳ ነገደኬ።BSBBSB: Isn’t this the carpenter, the son of Mary and the brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? Aren’t His sisters here with us as well?” And they took offense at Him.
4. 4GYLየሱስ ማቼ፥ “ሳብዘንካ ኤስርሶ ኬዝድባብ አብንከዝደር ቦንችምዴ፥ ይንታ ገታ ፍጨንዘን፥ ይንታ ሱሰንከዝደርኬ ይንታ ኤሀ ኤድንከዝደር ማቼ ቶችምዴ” ጋየሮ ከትካንታ ማስሴ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus said to them, “Only in his hometown, among his relatives, and in his own household is a prophet without honor.”
5. 5GYLኮታረረ ቶክም Ꮊዝምባብከዘን ይንታ አንን ዎድሶ ፋችዘንካ አብ አተን ፍክሳክዬ።BSBBSB: So He could not perform any miracles there, except to lay His hands on a few of the sick and heal them.
6. 6GYLዎርሰና አሜንክሳ ከታ ነግንካ አንድር በርእሴ፥ ኮተረ ቡር የሱስ ሞረንከሳር ኦንገሮ ኤስዝድ Ꮊቄ።BSBBSB: And He was amazed at their unbelief. And He went around from village to village, teaching the people.
7. 7GYLታሜከ ቃስተንከስም ይንደር ኤልሶ ቃስተን ቃስተን ማስሶ ከትም ኦይቼ፥ ዳቅል አያንንከዘነረ ዎልቃ ከትም እምሴ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus called the Twelve to Him and began to send them out two by two, giving them authority over unclean spirits.
8. 8GYLኬታ ጎግታ ጉፈዘንካ አብ ሶለረ ማታ ቦርሳ፥ ብረረ ይንታ ክስናር ከት የዳክንግንዳ ክትሴ።BSBBSB: He instructed them to take nothing but a staff for the journey—no bread, no bag, no money in their belts—
9. 9GYL“የንታ ዱትናር ጫማ አርችከቴ ዳት ቃስተን ሳምዝ Ꮊይ ቆበረተ ከትም ጋይሴ።BSBBSB: and to wear sandals, but not a second tunic.
10. 10GYLᎺምንካርዘነረ ዋልቃ ኤታ ኤሪ አርደቶ፥ ካርንኮትም የ ዛቅተርን የለልታ ኮታር ዶእከቴ።BSBBSB: And He told them, “When you enter a house, stay there until you leave that area.
11. 11GYLኤድንከስ የም ሞግዳክንካርያርከ የም ኤሰርዳክን ካርዘን ሙዳ የንታ ዱትንታ ቡልንም ድንግስሰቶ ኮታርንካ ዉትሰቶ አይከቴ፥ ኮነረ ከትካንታ ኤግዝምስታ ማርካ ከታዘን ማተረ” ከትም ጋይሴ።BSBBSB: If anyone will not welcome you or listen to you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that place, as a testimony against them.”
12. 12GYLኦይትምስባብከሰረ ኮታርካ ዉትሰኮ፥ ኤድንከስ ሙዳ ጎማ ይንታ ፍክስን ከት ዎይዝድንግንዳ ኤስሰኬ።BSBBSB: So they set out and preached that the people should repent.
13. 13GYLበድ ግምዘንከስመረ ዉችሰኬ፥ በድ ኤድንከስመረ ዛይት ሳየረኮ ፋችሰኬ።BSBBSB: They also drove out many demons and healed many of the sick, anointing them with oil.
14. 14GYLየሱሰታ ላምና ሙደንደር ኤስምሳን ኦል፥ ባንችና ሄረዶስ ክትጎካ ኤሰርሴ። ዋልቃ ዋልቃ ኤድንከስ፥ “ስእስንባብ ዮሀንስ ደእያርንካ አምቴ፥ ኮካንታ ኮና ሙዳ አተና ክትካ ይይምዴ” ጋየሮ Ꮊቀኬ።BSBBSB: Now King Herod heard about this, for Jesus’ name had become well known, and people were saying, “John the Baptist has risen from the dead! That is why miraculous powers are at work in him.”
15. 15GYLአብንከሰረ “ኤላሴ” ጋይሰኬ። ነገድባብከሰረ ጉጅሶ “ኤና እሪ ሳብዘንካ ኤሰርሶ ኬዛቅባብከሳርንካ ዋልቀንግንዴ” ጋይደኮ Ꮊቀኬ።BSBBSB: Others were saying, “He is Elijah,” and still others, “He is a prophet, like one of the prophets of old.”
16. 16GYLሄረዶስ ማቼ ኮም ሙዳ ኤሰርሶ፥ “ኮና እ ክታ ባርን ተችስባብ ዮሀንሴ፥ ኮናና! ኖ ደእያርንካ አምሴ”፥ ጋይሴ።BSBBSB: But when Herod heard this, he said, “John, whom I beheaded, has risen from the dead!”
17. 17GYLኮነረ ሄረዶስ ይንታ እስመን ፍልጶሰታ ኬነን ሄሮድያደም እንቸንካ ዮሀንሰም ኮትጎካ የችሶ ዞክና ኤሀር ዞክስሶ Ꮊቄ።BSBBSB: For Herod himself had ordered that John be arrested and bound and imprisoned, on account of his brother Philip’s wife Herodias, whom Herod had married.
18. 18GYLዮሀንሰረ ክት ዞከርሳንዳ፥ ሄረዶሰም “የስታ እስመንታ ኬነንም የስታ እንቸና ዝግዝድንዳ ካዬ!” ጋይድ Ꮊቃንኦሌ።BSBBSB: For John had been telling Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife!”
19. 19GYLሄሮድያደረ ኮካ ይምኤርሶ ዮሀንሰም ደይስስካንታ ዝግድ Ꮊቄ፥ ኬዛር ማቼ ኮትካንታ ማታክዬ።BSBBSB: So Herodias held a grudge against John and wanted to kill him. But she had been unable,
20. 20GYLሄረዶስ እርምሶ ዮሀንስ ጭልምስባብከ ሳብካንታ ፋስምስባብ ማትንተን ይ ኤዝድንኦል ክትም ጳሰሮ ካርዝድ Ꮊቄ። ሄረዶስ ዮሀንሰታ ኬዘንም ይ ኤሰርሳንᎺይካ ሙዳ ኦይምድ Ꮊቄ፥ ማታጋካ ዳት ጉርምካ ክትም ኤሰርድ Ꮊቄ።BSBBSB: because Herod feared John and protected him, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man. When he heard John’s words, he was greatly perplexed; yet he listened to him gladly.
21. 21GYLሄረዶስ ይ አጠርሳን ሰጨን ቦንቻካንታ ባንችንታ ገችታ ኤረንባብከስካንታ፥ ዳምንባብከስታዘን ዶርምስባብከስካንተኬ ዋልቃ ዋልቃ ኤስምስባብ ገሊላር ዶቅድን ኤድንከስም ሞካካንታ ግክሴ፥ ኮነረ ሄሮድያዳ ክትም Ꮊፍካንታ ኡርማ ሰጫ ኮትካንታ ማቼ።BSBBSB: On Herod’s birthday, her opportunity arose. Herod held a banquet for his nobles and military commanders and the leading men of Galilee.
22. 22GYLኮካንተረ ሄሮድያደታ ይንቸና ሞከርድን ኤሄናር አርድሶ ኮት ይግድንካ ሄረዶሰምንኬ ክትካ ክክን እችምንዘን ዶቅድባብከስም ና ጉርምሴ። ባንችነረ ይንቸን፥ “የስ ዝግድን Ꮊምንመረ ሙዳ እም ኦይስካ፥ እታ የስካንታ እምትቴ” ኮደር ጋይሴ።BSBBSB: When the daughter of Herodias came and danced, she pleased Herod and his guests, and the king said to the girl, “Ask me for whatever you wish, and I will give it to you.”
23. 23GYL“እስታ ባንችምንተረ የከንም ዎራ ማቼ፥ እም የስ ኦይዝድንደትም ሙዳ የስካንታ እምድቴ!” ጋየሮ ኮትካንታ ጫቅሴ።BSBBSB: And he swore to her, “Whatever you ask of me, I will give you, up to half my kingdom!”
24. 24GYLናየረ ይንታ እንደንደር አይሶ፥ “Ꮊርስ ክትም ኦይስቴ?” ኮደር ጋይሴ፥ እንደነረ “ስእስንባብ ዮሀንሰታ ቃደን እምካ፥ ጋይሰዮ ክትም ኦይስካ”፥ ኮትም ጋይሴ።BSBBSB: Then she went out and asked her mother, “What should I request?” And her mother answered, “The head of John the Baptist.”
25. 25GYLይንቸነረ ሳና ጭጭመትካ ባንችንደር ማትሶ፥ “ስእስንባብ ዮሀንሰታ ቃደን ጋበትታ ዋር ታ እካንታ እምምድንግንዳ ዝግድቴ” ጋየሮ ና ኦይሴ።BSBBSB: At once the girl hurried back to the king with her request: “I want you to give me the head of John the Baptist on a platter immediately.”
26. 26GYLባንችና ኮ ጋይተንካ አንድር ሞርእሴ፥ ማታጋካ ዳት እችምዘን ዶቅስባብከስታ እር ይ አርደዳን ጫቀንታ ኮት ኦይሳንደትም ማርካንታ ዝጋክዬ።BSBBSB: The king was consumed with sorrow, but because of his oaths and his guests, he did not want to refuse her.
27. 27GYLኮካንታ ባንችና ሳነካ ዋልቀን ካርስንባብ ፖልስን ዮሀንሰታ ቃደን ተችትዮ ተይ Ꮊድንግንዳ ኦይቼ፥ ፖልስነረ ዞክና ኤሄናር አይሶ ዮሀንሰታ ቃደን ተቼ፥BSBBSB: So without delay, the king commanded that John’s head be brought in. He sent an executioner, who went and beheaded him in the prison.
28. 28GYLተችምሳን ቃደንመረ ጋበትታ ዋር ተይᎺድሶ ይንቸንንካንታ እምሴ፥ ይንቸነረ ይንታ እንደንካንታ እምሴ።BSBBSB: The man brought John’s head on a platter and presented it to the girl, who gave it to her mother.
29. 29GYLዮሀንሰታ ካርንካ ጎርስምድባብከስ ኮም ከታ ኤሰርሳንᎺይካ Ꮊድሰኮ ለይስንም ተይ አይሰኮ ዱክሰኬ።BSBBSB: When John’s disciples heard about this, they came and took his body and placed it in a tomb.
30. 30GYLኦይትምስባብከስ ከታ ይ ክትምሳን ካርናርንካ ማት Ꮊድሰኮ የሱሰታ እር ሳንምሰኬ፥ ከታ ይ ይሳንደትምከ ኤስሳንደትም ሙዳ ክትካንታ ኬዘኬ።BSBBSB: Meanwhile, the apostles gathered around Jesus and brought Him news of all they had done and taught.
31. 31GYLየሱሰረ “የታ የንት ዋልቃ Ꮊርን ጋይሳን ካርዘን አይሰቶ ቶክም Ꮊዉስከቴ”፥ ከትም ጋይሴ፥ ኮመረ ክት ጋይሳንዳ Ꮊረታ ጋይሴ ከደር Ꮊድባብከስከ አይድባብ በድንከስ ማቻንካንታ እችምካንታ ዎራ ሳዓት ከትካንታ ካየንካንቴ።BSBBSB: And He said to them, “Come with Me privately to a solitary place, and let us rest for a while.” For many people were coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.
32. 32GYLኮካንታ ይንት ከታ ዶቅካንታ ሎቀንዘንካ ቃለርድን ጃልበናር አርድሰኮ ዋልቃ Ꮊርን ጋይሳን ካርያር፥ አይሰኬ።BSBBSB: So they went away in a boat by themselves to a solitary place.
33. 33GYLማታጋካ ዳት ከት አይድንካ በድ ኤድንከስ ሰድሰኮ ከትም ኤሰኬ፥ Ꮊክ Ꮊክ ካተመንከሳርንከረ ዉትሰኮ ዱትካ ዞደረኮ ከትም እርምሰኮ ከደር ሳንምሰኬ።BSBBSB: But many people saw them leaving and recognized them. They ran together on foot from all the towns and arrived before them.
34. 34GYLየሱስ ሎቀንዘንካ ቃልዝድን ጃልበናርንካ Ꮊንቸርድዮ በድ ኤድንከስም ኖ ሰጄ፥ ግስመንባብ ከታ ካየን ቆልግንዳ ከታ ማትንተንከረ ከትካንታ ሞርእሴ፥ በድ ሪመረ ከትም ኤስስ የጄ።BSBBSB: When Jesus stepped ashore and saw a large crowd, He had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. And He began to teach them many things.
35. 35GYLሰጨና ሶይተሮ አይድንካንታ ክታካርንካ ጎርስምድባብከስ ክደር Ꮊድሰኮ ኩን ጋይሰኬ፥ “ኮና ካርና ኤድ ካየንካርዬ፥ ሰጨነረ ሶይቴ፥BSBBSB: By now the hour was already late. So the disciples came to Jesus and said, “This is a desolate place, and the hour is already late.
36. 36GYLከት እጅድንዳ ካየንካንታ ሞረናር ዶቅድን ካተመን ካየንከሳርኬ የለንከሳር አይሰኮ እችም ከት ሰንድንግንዳ ኬና ኤድንከስም ኦይትካ” ክትም ጋይሰኬ።BSBBSB: Dismiss the crowd so they can go to the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat.”
37. 37GYLየሱስ ማቼ፥ “ከት እጅድንደትም የታ እምከቴ” ጋየሮ ማስሴ። ከተረ “ይና፥ አይሶቶ ከት እጅድንደትም ቃስተን ጸታ ብራ ጣገረካ ሰንት እምተሮቶ?” ጋይሰኬ።BSBBSB: But Jesus told them, “You give them something to eat.” They asked Him, “Should we go out and spend two hundred denarii to give all of them bread to eat?”
38. 38GYLየሱሰረ “መም ሶላ የንደር ዶቅዳ? ይና አይሰቶ የ ሰድኔ”፥ ከትም ጋይሴ፥ ከተረ ሰድሰኮ “ዶንቅ ሶለኬ ቃስተን ሞለካ ዶቅዴ”፥ ክደር ጋይሰኬ።BSBBSB: “Go and see how many loaves you have,” He told them. And after checking, they said, “Five—and two fish.”
39. 39GYLየሱሰረ ዎርሰንም Ꮊክ Ꮊክ ፋስሶ፥ ጮልሳን ድረዘን ከትም ዶቅዝድን ግንዳ ይንታ ካርንካ ጎርስምድባብከስም ክትሴ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus directed them to have the people sit in groups on the green grass.
40. 40GYLኮካንታ ዎርሰና ባንግና ጸታ አና ባንግና ቃስተን ቦንደከ ታማ ማትሰኮ Ꮊክ Ꮊክ ፋስምሰኮ ዶቅሰኬ።BSBBSB: So they sat down in groups of hundreds and fifties.
41. 41GYLየሱሰረ ዶንቅ ሶለንምከ ቃስተን ሞለን የድሶ፥ ፈስ ጭላር ሰድሶ ጋለቼ፥ ሶለንም አስትዮ ኤድንከስካንታ ከት የልዝድንግንዳ ይንታ ካርንካ ጎርስምድባብከስካንታ እምሴ። ኮትኮግንደረ ቃስተን ሞለን ሙደንካንታ የልስሴ።BSBBSB: Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, Jesus spoke a blessing and broke the loaves. Then He gave them to His disciples to set before the people. And He divided the two fish among them all.
42. 42GYLሙደነረ እችሶ ምሰኬ።BSBBSB: They all ate and were satisfied,
43. 43GYLክታ ካርንካ ጎርስምድባብከሰረ ስጣንደትም ዶከን ታመከ ቃስተን ጋበትካ ጮጭ ሳንሰኬ።BSBBSB: and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces of bread and fish.
44. 44GYLሶለንም እችባብ አⷝነንከስታ ፋይደና ዶንቅ ሳአ Ꮊቀኬ።BSBBSB: And there were five thousand men who had eaten the loaves.
45. 45GYLየሱስ ሳነካ ዎርሰንም ኦይተሮ ክት ዶቅድንካ ክታ ካርንካ ጎርስምድባብከስ ሎቀንዘንካ ቃልዝድን ጃልበንካ ኦስ ፋማ በቴሳይዳ ካተመናር ቃልሰኮ ከት እር አይድንግንዳ ክትሴ።BSBBSB: Immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of Him to Bethsaida, while He dismissed the crowd.
46. 46GYLኮታ ቡር ከታዘንካ ፋስምሶ ምክስካንታ ገቸንዘን ዉተዴ።BSBBSB: After bidding them farewell, He went up on the mountain to pray.
47. 47GYLፍጨና ሶይድንካ ሎቀንዘንካ ቃልዝድን ጃልበና ባሀርንታ ግድያር ዶቅድንካ የሱስ ማቼ ይንት ፍጫዘን Ꮊቄ።BSBBSB: When evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea, and Jesus was alone on land.
48. 48GYLክታ ካርንካ ጎርስምድባብከስ ከታዘን ዞግድን ዞገንጎካ በይካንታ ማጠርድንካ ከትም ሰጄ፥ ሶይትናርንከረ ሳክላ ሳኣትዘንካ የድሶ ታመከ ቃስቴን ሳዓት ዶቅድንደታር ባሀርንዘንካ ሙከሮ ከደር Ꮊዴ፥ ከትም ስግሰረ አይዳ ዶቆ።BSBBSB: He could see that the disciples were straining to row, because the wind was against them. About the fourth watch of the night, Jesus went out to them, walking on the sea. He intended to pass by them,
49. 49GYLኬዛር ማቼ ከታ ባሀርንዘንካ ሙከሮ ክት አይድንካ ሰድሰኮ ቡንከም ካምስንካ ፍፍሰኬ።BSBBSB: but when they saw Him walking on the sea, they cried out, thinking He was a ghost—
50. 50GYLሙደነረ ክትም ሰዳንደትካ ገቅሰኬ። የሱስ ማቼ ሳነካ፥ “ዳእከቴ! እትቴ! Ꮊይጳሰቴ!” ከትም ጋይሴ።BSBBSB: for they all saw Him and were terrified. But Jesus spoke up at once: “Take courage! It is I. Do not be afraid.”
51. 51GYLኮታዘንከረ ሎቀንዘንካ ቃልዝድን ጃልበናረረ አርድሶ፥ ከትካ ክክን ክት ማቻንደትካ ዞገና ዎእሴ፥ ክታ ካርንካ ጎርስምድባብከሰረ አንድር በርእሰኬ።BSBBSB: Then He climbed into the boat with them, and the wind died down. And the disciples were utterly astounded,
52. 52GYLይና፥ ከታ ቡደና ገቀርክሳ ነግድንካ ሶለንታ አተንም ገቀርት ተይክሳ ነግሰኮ ዳት ኮና ርና ከትም በርእስስተራክ ዶቆ።BSBBSB: for they had not understood about the loaves, but their hearts had been hardened.
53. 53GYLባሀርን ቃልሰኮ፥ ገንሰረጥ ካተመናር የልሰኬ፥ ጃልበንም ባሀርንታ ካንተዘን ዉችሰኮ ዞክሰኬ፥BSBBSB: When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret and moored the boat.
54. 54GYLጃልበናርንካ ከታ ይ Ꮊንቸርሳንግንዳ ሳነካ ኤድንከስ የሱሰም ኤሰኬ።BSBBSB: As soon as they got out of the boat, the people recognized Jesus
55. 55GYLከተረ ፍጨንኮታር ዞደረኮ የሱስ ዶቅድን ካርናር ሙዳ ሰቅምንባብከስም Ꮊቸካ ባልትዮ ተይ Ꮊድ የጀኬ።BSBBSB: and ran through that whole region, carrying the sick on mats to wherever they heard He was.
56. 56GYLክት አይሳን ካርሙደናር ሞረናርንካ፥ ካተመናርንካ፥ ካተማ ካየናርንከረ ሰቀርስባብከስም መለንዘን ተይ Ꮊደረኮ ክታ እሪ ዎድᎺቀኬ፥ ክታ አፍለንታ ካንተንም ዎራ ከት ዎልድንግንዳ ክትም ምግዝድ Ꮊቀኬ፥ ክትም ዎልስባበረ ሙደና ፋጭድ Ꮊቀኬ።BSBBSB: And wherever He went—villages and towns and countrysides—they laid the sick in the marketplaces and begged Him just to let them touch the fringe of His cloak. And all who touched Him were healed.
