1. 1HMBויאמר יהוה אל משה עתה תראה אשר אעשה לפרעה כי ביד חזקה ישלחם וביד חזקה יגרשם מארצו׃BSBBSB: But the LORD said to Moses, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh, for because of My mighty hand he will let the people go; because of My strong hand he will drive them out of his land.”
2. 2HMBוידבר אלהים אל משה ויאמר אליו אני יהוה׃BSBBSB: God also told Moses, “I am the LORD.
3. 3HMBוארא אל אברהם אל יצחק ואל יעקב באל שדי ושמי יהוה לא נודעתי להם׃BSBBSB: I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as God Almighty, but by My name the LORD I did not make Myself known to them.
4. 4HMBוגם הקמתי את בריתי אתם לתת להם את ארץ כנען את ארץ מגריהם אשר גרו בה׃BSBBSB: I also established My covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, the land where they lived as foreigners.
5. 5HMBוגם אני שמעתי את נאקת בני ישראל אשר מצרים מעבדים אתם ואזכר את בריתי׃BSBBSB: Furthermore, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, whom the Egyptians are enslaving, and I have remembered My covenant.
6. 6HMBלכן אמר לבני ישראל אני יהוה והוצאתי אתכם מתחת סבלת מצרים והצלתי אתכם מעבדתם וגאלתי אתכם בזרוע נטויה ובשפטים גדלים׃BSBBSB: Therefore tell the Israelites: ‘I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians and deliver you from their bondage. I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment.
7. 7HMBולקחתי אתכם לי לעם והייתי לכם לאלהים וידעתם כי אני יהוה אלהיכם המוציא אתכם מתחת סבלות מצרים׃BSBBSB: I will take you as My own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians.
8. 8HMBוהבאתי אתכם אל הארץ אשר נשאתי את ידי לתת אתה לאברהם ליצחק וליעקב ונתתי אתה לכם מורשה אני יהוה׃BSBBSB: And I will bring you into the land that I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I will give it to you as a possession. I am the LORD!’”
9. 9HMBוידבר משה כן אל בני ישראל ולא שמעו אל משה מקצר רוח ומעבדה קשה׃BSBBSB: Moses relayed this message to the Israelites, but on account of their broken spirit and cruel bondage, they did not listen to him.
10. 10HMBוידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר׃BSBBSB: So the LORD said to Moses,
11. 11HMBבא דבר אל פרעה מלך מצרים וישלח את בני ישראל מארצו׃BSBBSB: “Go and tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the Israelites go out of his land.”
12. 12HMBוידבר משה לפני יהוה לאמר הן בני ישראל לא שמעו אלי ואיך ישמעני פרעה ואני ערל שפתים׃BSBBSB: But in the LORD’s presence Moses replied, “If the Israelites will not listen to me, then why would Pharaoh listen to me, since I am unskilled in speech?”
13. 13HMBוידבר יהוה אל משה ואל אהרן ויצום אל בני ישראל ואל פרעה מלך מצרים להוציא את בני ישראל מארץ מצרים׃BSBBSB: Then the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron and gave them a charge concerning both the Israelites and Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the Israelites out of the land of Egypt.
14. 14HMBאלה ראשי בית אבתם בני ראובן בכר ישראל חנוך ופלוא חצרון וכרמי אלה משפחת ראובן׃BSBBSB: These were the heads of their fathers’ houses: The sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel, were Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi. These were the clans of Reuben.
15. 15HMBובני שמעון ימואל וימין ואהד ויכין וצחר ושאול בן הכנענית אלה משפחת שמעון׃BSBBSB: The sons of Simeon were Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul, the son of a Canaanite woman. These were the clans of Simeon.
16. 16HMBואלה שמות בני לוי לתלדתם גרשון וקהת ומררי ושני חיי לוי שבע ושלשים ומאת שנה׃BSBBSB: These were the names of the sons of Levi according to their records: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. Levi lived 137 years.
17. 17HMBבני גרשון לבני ושמעי למשפחתם׃BSBBSB: The sons of Gershon were Libni and Shimei, by their clans.
18. 18HMBובני קהת עמרם ויצהר וחברון ועזיאל ושני חיי קהת שלש ושלשים ומאת שנה׃BSBBSB: The sons of Kohath were Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel. Kohath lived 133 years.
19. 19HMBובני מררי מחלי ומושי אלה משפחת הלוי לתלדתם׃BSBBSB: The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi. These were the clans of the Levites according to their records.
20. 20HMBויקח עמרם את יוכבד דדתו לו לאשה ותלד לו את אהרן ואת משה ושני חיי עמרם שבע ושלשים ומאת שנה׃BSBBSB: And Amram married his father’s sister Jochebed, and she bore him Aaron and Moses. Amram lived 137 years.
21. 21HMBובני יצהר קרח ונפג וזכרי׃BSBBSB: The sons of Izhar were Korah, Nepheg, and Zichri.
22. 22HMBובני עזיאל מישאל ואלצפן וסתרי׃BSBBSB: The sons of Uzziel were Mishael, Elzaphan, and Sithri.
23. 23HMBויקח אהרן את אלישבע בת עמינדב אחות נחשון לו לאשה ותלד לו את נדב ואת אביהוא את אלעזר ואת איתמר׃BSBBSB: And Aaron married Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab and sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
24. 24HMBובני קרח אסיר ואלקנה ואביאסף אלה משפחת הקרחי׃BSBBSB: The sons of Korah were Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph. These were the clans of the Korahites.
25. 25HMBואלעזר בן אהרן לקח לו מבנות פוטיאל לו לאשה ותלד לו את פינחס אלה ראשי אבות הלוים למשפחתם׃BSBBSB: Aaron’s son Eleazar married one of the daughters of Putiel, and she bore him Phinehas. These were the heads of the Levite families by their clans.
26. 26HMBהוא אהרן ומשה אשר אמר יהוה להם הוציאו את בני ישראל מארץ מצרים על צבאתם׃BSBBSB: It was this Aaron and Moses to whom the LORD said, “Bring the Israelites out of the land of Egypt by their divisions.”
27. 27HMBהם המדברים אל פרעה מלך מצרים להוציא את בני ישראל ממצרים הוא משה ואהרן׃BSBBSB: Moses and Aaron were the ones who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt in order to bring the Israelites out of Egypt.
28. 28HMBויהי ביום דבר יהוה אל משה בארץ מצרים׃BSBBSB: Now on the day that the LORD spoke to Moses in Egypt,
29. 29HMBוידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר אני יהוה דבר אל פרעה מלך מצרים את כל אשר אני דבר אליך׃BSBBSB: He said to him, “I am the LORD; tell Pharaoh king of Egypt everything I say to you.”
30. 30HMBויאמר משה לפני יהוה הן אני ערל שפתים ואיך ישמע אלי פרעה׃BSBBSB: But in the LORD’s presence Moses replied, “Since I am unskilled in speech, why would Pharaoh listen to me?”
