1 HGLT क्या मैं स्वतंत्र नहीं हूँ? क्या मैं प्रेरित नहीं हूँ? क्या मैंने अपने प्रभु यीशु को नहीं देखा? क्या तुम प्रभु में मेरा परिश्रम नहीं हो? BSB BSB: Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are you yourselves not my workmanship in the Lord?
2 HGLT यदि मैं दूसरों के लिए प्रेरित नहीं हूँ, कम से कम तुम्हारे लिए तो मैं हूँ। क्योंकि तुम प्रभु में मेरे प्रेरित होने का प्रमाण हो। BSB BSB: Even if I am not an apostle to others, surely I am to you. For you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.
3 HGLT मेरी जाँच करने वालों के लिए मेरा बचाव यह है: BSB BSB: This is my defense to those who scrutinize me:
4 HGLT क्या हमें निश्चित रूप से खाने और पीने का अधिकार नहीं है? BSB BSB: Have we no right to food and to drink?
6 HGLT या क्या केवल बरनबास और मुझे ही काम न करने का अधिकार नहीं है? BSB BSB: Or are Barnabas and I the only apostles who must work for a living?
7 HGLT कौन अपने खर्च पर सारे समय एक सैनिक के रूप में कार्य करता है? कौन दाख की बारी लगाता है और उसका फल नहीं खाता? या कौन भेड़- बकरियों की चरवाही करता है और भेड़- बकरियों का दूध नहीं पीता है? BSB BSB: Who serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Who tends a flock and does not drink of its milk?
8 HGLT क्या मैं ये बातें मनुष्यों के अनुसार नहीं कहता, या क्या व्यवस्था भी ये बातें नहीं कहती? BSB BSB: Do I say this from a human perspective? Doesn’t the Law say the same thing?
9 HGLT क्योंकि मूसा की व्यवस्था में यह लिखा है,“अन्न दाँवने वाले बैल का मुँह न बाँधना।” परमेश्वर को बैलों की चिन्ता नहीं है, क्या उसे है? BSB BSB: For it is written in the Law of Moses: “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.” Is it about oxen that God is concerned?
10 HGLT या क्या वह पूरी रीति से हमारे निमित्त बोल रहा है? क्योंकि हमारे निमित्त यह लिखा गया था, कि जोतने वाले को आशा से जोतना चाहिए, और दाँवने वाले को कटनी के बँटवारे की आशा से जोतना चाहिए। BSB BSB: Isn’t He actually speaking on our behalf? Indeed, this was written for us, because when the plowman plows and the thresher threshes, they should also expect to share in the harvest.
11 HGLT यदि हम ने तुम्हारे बीच आत्मिक बातें बोईं, तो यदि हम तुम से भौतिक वस्तुएँ काटें तो क्या यह बहुत बड़ी बात{ है}? BSB BSB: If we have sown spiritual seed among you, is it too much for us to reap a material harvest from you?
12 HGLT यदि दूसरों ने तुम पर अधिकार को साझा किया, तो{ क्या} हमें और भी अधिक अधिकार नहीं? परन्तु हम ने इस अधिकार का लाभ नहीं उठाया। बजाए इसके हम ने सब कुछ सह लिया ताकि हम मसीह के सुसमाचार में कोई बाधा न डालें। BSB BSB: If others have this right to your support, shouldn’t we have it all the more? But we did not exercise this right. Instead, we put up with anything rather than hinder the gospel of Christ.
13 HGLT क्या तुम नहीं जानते, कि मन्दिर में काम करने वाले मन्दिर की वस्तुओं में से खाते हैं; वेदी पर सेवा करने वाले वेदी पर की वस्तुओं में भागीदार होते हैं? BSB BSB: Do you not know that those who work in the temple eat of its food, and those who serve at the altar partake of its offerings?
14 HGLT इसी प्रकार से प्रभु ने भी सुसमाचार का प्रचार करने वालों को सुसमाचार से जीवन व्यतीत करने की आज्ञा दी है। BSB BSB: In the same way, the Lord has prescribed that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel.
15 HGLT परन्तु मैंने इनमें से{ किसी भी} बात का लाभ नहीं उठाया। अब मैं ये बातें इसलिए नहीं लिखता कि यह मेरे लिए इस प्रकार से किया जाए, क्योंकि मेरे लिए मर जाना ही बेहतर{ होगा}, बजाए इसके कि{ कोई} मेरे घमण्ड को व्यर्थ कर दे। BSB BSB: But I have not used any of these rights. And I am not writing this to suggest that something be done for me. Indeed, I would rather die than let anyone nullify my boast.
16 HGLT क्योंकि यदि मैं सुसमाचार सुनाऊँ, तो मेरे लिए घमण्ड करने की कोई बात नहीं, क्योंकि मुझ पर यह विवशता रखी गई है। और यदि मैं सुसमाचार का प्रचार न करूँ, तो मुझ पर हाय! BSB BSB: Yet when I preach the gospel, I have no reason to boast, because I am obligated to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!
17 HGLT क्योंकि यदि मैं स्वेच्छा से ऐसा करता हूँ, तो मुझे एक पुरस्कार मिलेगा। परन्तु यदि मैं अनिच्छा से करूँ, तो भी मुझे भण्डारी का काम सौंपा ही गया है। BSB BSB: If my preaching is voluntary, I have a reward. But if it is not voluntary, I am still entrusted with a responsibility.
18 HGLT अतः मेरा पुरस्कार क्या है? यह कि बिना कोई दाम लिए सुसमाचार की घोषणा करूँ, अर्थात मैं सुसमाचार की पेशकश ऐसे करूँ जिससे कि मैं सुसमाचार में अपने अधिकार का लाभ न उठाऊँ। BSB BSB: What then is my reward? That in preaching the gospel I may offer it free of charge, and so not use up my rights in preaching it.
19 HGLT क्योंकि सब बातों से स्वतंत्र होकर भी, मैंने स्वयं को सब का दास बना लिया ताकि मैं अधिक{ लोगों} को खींच लाऊँ। BSB BSB: Though I am free of obligation to anyone, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.
20 HGLT और यहूदियों के लिये मैं यहूदी के समान बन गया, ताकि मैं यहूदियों को खींच लाऊँ। जो व्यवस्था के अधीन हैं उनके लिए मैं व्यवस्था के अधीन न होकर भी स्वयं व्यवस्था के अधीन जैसा बन गया ताकि उनको खींच लाऊँ जो व्यवस्था के अधीन हैं। BSB BSB: To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), to win those under the law.
21 HGLT व्यवस्थाहीनों के लिए, मैं(परमेश्वर की व्यवस्था से हीन नहीं, परन्तु मसीह की व्यवस्था के अधीन) व्यवस्थाहीन सा{ बन गया}, ताकि मैं उन्हें खींच लाऊँ जो व्यवस्थाहीन हैं। BSB BSB: To those without the law I became like one without the law (though I am not outside the law of God but am under the law of Christ), to win those without the law.
22 HGLT मैं निर्बलों के लिए निर्बल बन गया, ताकि मैं निर्बलों को खींच लाऊँ। मैं सब के लिए सब कुछ बन गया ताकि मैं किसी भी रीति से कुछ का उद्धार करवा सकूँ। BSB BSB: To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.
23 HGLT परन्तु मैं सब कुछ सुसमाचार के निमित्त करता हूँ, ताकि मैं उसमें सहभागी बनूँ। BSB BSB: I do all this for the sake of the gospel, so that I may share in its blessings.
24 HGLT क्या तुम नहीं जानते कि दौड़ में तो सभी दौड़ने वाले दौड़ते हैं, परन्तु इनाम केवल एक को ही मिलता है? इस रीति से दौड़ो कि तुम उसे पा सको। BSB BSB: Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way as to take the prize.
25 HGLT परन्तु खेलों में प्रतिस्पर्धा करने वाला प्रत्येक व्यक्ति सभी बातों में आत्मसंयम का अभ्यास करता है। वे ऐसा इसलिए{ करते हैं} ताकि उन्हें एक नाशवान मुकुट प्राप्त हो, परन्तु हम तो एक अविनाशी मुकुट के लिए ऐसा करते हैं। BSB BSB: Everyone who competes in the games trains with strict discipline. They do it for a crown that is perishable, but we do it for a crown that is imperishable.
26 HGLT इसलिए, मैं इस प्रकार से दौड़ता हूँ, परन्तु बिना किसी उद्देश्य के नहीं; मैं इस प्रकार से लड़ता हूँ, परन्तु हवा को पीटता हुआ नहीं। BSB BSB: Therefore I do not run aimlessly; I do not fight like I am beating the air.
27 HGLT परन्तु मैंने अपनी देह को अपने वश में करके उसे अपना दास बना लिया है, ऐसा न हो कि औरों को प्रचार करके मैं स्वयं ही अयोग्य ठहरूँ। BSB BSB: No, I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.
