1 HGLT इसलिये अब, आओ हम मसीह के आरम्भ के सन्देश को छोड़कर परिपक्वता की ओर आगे बढ़ें, और मरे हुए कामों से मन फिराने और परमेश्वर पर विश्वास करने, BSB BSB: Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith in God,
2 HGLT और बपतिस्मा, एवं हाथ रखने, तथा मृतकों के पुनरुत्थान और अनन्त न्याय की शिक्षा की नींव फिर से न डालें। BSB BSB: instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
3 HGLT और यदि परमेश्वर ने अनुमति दी, तो हम यही करेंगे। BSB BSB: And this we will do, if God permits.
5 HGLT और परमेश्वर के उत्तम वचन का तथा आने वाले युग की सामर्थ्य का स्वाद तो चखा है BSB BSB: who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age—
6 HGLT परन्तु भटक गए हैं,{ उन्हें} फिर से मन फिराव की ओर लौटाना असम्भव है,{ क्योंकि} वे अपने लिये परमेश्वर के पुत्र को फिर से क्रूस पर चढ़ा रहे हैं, और{ उसे} लोगों में लज्जित कर रहे हैं। BSB BSB: and then have fallen away—to be restored to repentance, because they themselves are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting Him to open shame.
7 HGLT क्योंकि जो भूमि उस पर बार- बार पड़ने वाली वर्षा को पीती है, और जिन लोगों के लिये वह जोती- बोई जाती है उनके लिये उपयोगी साग- पात उपजाती है, वह परमेश्वर की आशीष{ में} भागीदार होती है, BSB BSB: For land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is tended receives the blessing of God.
8 HGLT परन्तु झाड़ियाँ और ऊँटकटारे उपजाने पर,{ वह} निकम्मी ठहरती है और श्रापित होने के निकट है, जिसका अन्त जलाया जाना{ है}। BSB BSB: But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless, and its curse is imminent. In the end it will be burned.
9 HGLT परन्तु हे प्रियों, भले ही हम ऐसा कहते हैं, परन्तु तुम्हारे विषय में हम उन बातों में आश्वस्त हैं{ जो} उत्तम हैं, और उद्धार से जुड़ी हुई हैं, BSB BSB: Even though we speak like this, beloved, we are convinced of better things in your case—things that accompany salvation.
10 HGLT क्योंकि परमेश्वर अन्यायी नहीं{ है}, कि तुम्हारे काम को, और उस प्रेम को भूल जाए जो तुमने उसके नाम के प्रति दिखाया है कि पवित्र लोगों की सेवा की, और{ उनकी} सेवा कर भी रहे हो। BSB BSB: For God is not unjust. He will not forget your work and the love you have shown for His name as you have ministered to the saints and continue to do so.
11 HGLT और हम चाहते हैं कि तुममें से हर एक जन अपनी आशा की पूर्ण निश्चिन्तता के लिये अन्त तक ऐसा ही परिश्रम करता रहे BSB BSB: We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure.
12 HGLT ताकि तुम आलसी न बनो, परन्तु उन लोगों का अनुकरण करो जो विश्वास और धीरज के द्वारा प्रतिज्ञाओं के वारिस हुए हैं। BSB BSB: Then you will not be sluggish, but will imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
13 HGLT क्योंकि परमेश्वर को कोई ऐसा बड़ा न मिला{ जिसकी} वह शपथ खा सके, तो उसने अब्राहम से प्रतिज्ञा करके अपनी ही शपथ खाई, BSB BSB: When God made His promise to Abraham, since He had no one greater to swear by, He swore by Himself,
14 HGLT और कहा,“मैं निश्चय तुझे बहुत आशीष दूँगा, और तुझे बढ़ाऊँगा।” BSB BSB: saying, “I will surely bless you and multiply your descendants.”
15 HGLT और इस रीति से, उसने धीरज धरकर प्रतीक्षा करते हुए प्रतिज्ञा को प्राप्त किया। BSB BSB: And so Abraham, after waiting patiently, obtained the promise.
16 HGLT क्योंकि मनुष्य उसी की शपथ खाते हैं{ जो} बड़ा होता है, और उनके लिये सब झगड़ों का अन्त शपथ से पक्का होता है, BSB BSB: Men swear by someone greater than themselves, and their oath serves as a confirmation to end all argument.
17 HGLT जिसमें परमेश्वर ने, प्रतिज्ञा के वारिसों पर उसके उद्देश्य की अपरिवर्तनीय गुणवत्ता को और भी अधिक प्रकट करने की मंशा की, इसलिये वह शपथ को बीच में लाया BSB BSB: So when God wanted to make the unchanging nature of His purpose very clear to the heirs of the promise, He guaranteed it with an oath.
18 HGLT ताकि दो अपरिवर्तनीय बातों के द्वारा, जिन बातों में परमेश्वर के लिये झूठ बोलना असम्भव{ है}, हम जो शरण पाने के लिये दौड़ रहे थे,{ हमारे} सामने रखी{ उस} आशा को दृढ़ता से थामे रखने के लिये एक मजबूत प्रोत्साहन प्राप्त कर सकें; BSB BSB: Thus by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be strongly encouraged.
19 HGLT जो हमारी{ आशा} है वह लंगर के समान आत्मा के लिये विश्वसनीय और दृढ़ दोनों है, और उस परदे के भीतर प्रवेश करती है, BSB BSB: We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain,
20 HGLT जहाँ यीशु ने हमारे लिये अग्रदूत{ होकर} प्रवेश किया है, और मलिकिसिदक की रीति के अनुसार सदा के लिये महायाजक बन गया है। BSB BSB: where Jesus our forerunner has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.
