1 HGLT “मैंने तुम से इन बातों को इसलिए कहा ताकि तुम गिर न पड़ो। BSB BSB: “I have told you these things so that you will not fall away.
2 HGLT वे तुम को आराधनालयों से निकाल देंगे। परन्तु वह समय आ रहा है जब हर कोई जो तुम्हारी हत्या करता है वह सोचेगा कि वह परमेश्वर को सेवा प्रदान कर रहा है। BSB BSB: They will put you out of the synagogues. In fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God.
3 HGLT वे इन कामों को इसलिए करेंगे क्योंकि उन्होंने न पिता को जाना है और न ही मुझे। BSB BSB: They will do these things because they have not known the Father or Me.
4 HGLT परन्तु मैंने तुम से इन बातों को इसलिए कहा ताकि जब वह समय आए, तो तुम स्मरण रखो कि मैंने तुम को इनके बारे में बता दिया था। परन्तु मैंने तुम को इन बातों के बारे में आरम्भ में इसलिए नहीं बताया, क्योंकि मैं तुम्हारे साथ था। BSB BSB: But I have told you these things so that when their hour comes, you will remember that I told you about them. I did not tell you these things from the beginning, because I was with you.
5 HGLT परन्तु अब मैं उसके पास जाता हूँ जिसने मुझे भेजा है, और तुम में से कोई मुझ से नहीं पूछता कि‘तू कहाँ जा रहा है?’ BSB BSB: Now, however, I am going to Him who sent Me; yet none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’
6 HGLT परन्तु क्योंकि मैंने तुम से इन बातों को कहा है, इसलिए उदासी ने तुम्हारे हृदय को भर दिया है। BSB BSB: Instead, your hearts are filled with sorrow because I have told you these things.
8 HGLT और वह आकर पाप के विषय में और धार्मिकता के विषय में और न्याय के विषय में संसार को फटकारेगा— BSB BSB: And when He comes, He will convict the world in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment:
9 HGLT पाप के विषय में इसलिए, क्योंकि वे मुझ पर विश्वास नहीं करते; BSB BSB: in regard to sin, because they do not believe in Me;

12 HGLT मेरे पास कहने के लिए बहुत सारी बातें हैं, परन्तु तुम{ उनको} इस समय सहने में सक्षम नहीं हो। BSB BSB: I still have much to tell you, but you cannot yet bear to hear it.
13 HGLT परन्तु जब वह, अर्थात सत्य का आत्मा, आएगा, तो वह सम्पूर्ण सत्य में तुम्हारा मार्गदर्शन करेगा, क्योंकि वह अपनी ओर से नहीं बोलेगा, परन्तु वह वही बोलेगा जो कुछ भी वह सुनेगा, और तुम को वह उन बातों को बताएगा जो आने वाली हैं। BSB BSB: However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come. 14 HGLT वह मेरा महिमामंडन करेगा, क्योंकि वह मेरी बातों में से लेगा और उनको वह तुम को बताएगा। BSB BSB: He will glorify Me by taking from what is Mine and disclosing it to you.

17 HGLT तब उसके कुछ चेलों ने एक- दूसरे से कहा,“यह क्या है जो वह हम से कहता है कि‘थोड़ा समय बीतेगा और तुम मुझे न देखोगे, तथा थोड़ा और समय बीतेगा और तुम मुझे देखोगे,’ और,‘क्योंकि मैं पिता के पास जाता हूँ’?” BSB BSB: Then some of His disciples asked one another, “Why is He telling us, ‘In a little while you will not see Me, and then after a little while you will see Me’ and ‘Because I am going to the Father’?”
18 HGLT इस कारण से वे कह रहे थे,“यह‘थोड़ा समय’ क्या है? हम नहीं जानते कि वह क्या कह रहा है।” BSB BSB: They kept asking, “Why is He saying, ‘a little while’? We do not understand what He is saying.”

BSB BSB: Aware that they wanted to question Him, Jesus said to them, “Are you asking one another why I said, ‘In a little while you will not see Me, and then after a little while you will see Me’?
20 HGLT मैं तुम से सच- सच कहता हूँ कि तुम रोओगे और विलाप करोगे, परन्तु संसार प्रसन्न होगा। तुम शोकित होओगे, परन्तु तुम्हारा शोक आनन्द बन जाएगा। BSB BSB: Truly, truly, I tell you, you will weep and wail while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.
21 HGLT जब कोई स्त्री जन्म देती है, तो उसे पीड़ा होती है क्योंकि उसका समय आ गया है, परन्तु जब वह बच्चे को जन्म दे चुकी होती है, तो फिर वह अपने उस आनन्द के कारण कि इस संसार में एक व्यक्ति ने जन्म लिया है{ अपनी} उस पीड़ा को फिर स्मरण नहीं करती। BSB BSB: A woman has pain in childbirth because her time has come; but when she brings forth her child, she forgets her anguish because of her joy that a child has been born into the world.
22 HGLT और इसलिए तुम को अभी शोक होता है, परन्तु मैं तुम से फिर मिलूँगा, और तुम्हारा हृदय प्रसन्न होगा, और कोई भी तुम से तुम्हारा आनन्द छीन नहीं लेगा। BSB BSB: So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.
23 HGLT और उस दिन तुम मुझ से कुछ भी नहीं पूछोगे। मैं तुम से सच- सच कहता हूँ, कि तुम मेरे नाम से पिता से जो कुछ भी माँगोगे, वह तुम को वो देगा। BSB BSB: In that day you will no longer ask Me anything. Truly, truly, I tell you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.
24 HGLT अभी तक तुम ने मेरे नाम से कुछ भी नहीं माँगा। माँगो, और तुम को मिलेगा जिससे कि तुम्हारा आनन्द पूरा हो जाए। BSB BSB: Until now you have not asked for anything in My name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.
25 HGLT मैंने यह बातें तुम से दृष्टांतों में कही हैं; ऐसा समय आ रहा है जब मैं तुम से दृष्टांतों में फिर बात नहीं करूँगा, परन्तु बजाए इसके मैं तुम को पिता के बारे में स्पष्ट रूप से बता दूँगा। BSB BSB: I have spoken these things to you in figures of speech. An hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you this way, but will tell you plainly about the Father.
26 HGLT उस दिन तुम मेरे नाम से माँगोगे, और मैं तुम से यह नहीं कहता कि मैं पिता से तुम्हारे लिए विनती करूँगा, BSB BSB: In that day you will ask in My name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf.
27 HGLT क्योंकि पिता स्वयं ही तुम से इसलिए प्रेम करता है, क्योंकि तुम ने मुझ से प्रेम किया और विश्वास किया कि मैं परमेश्वर की ओर से आया हूँ। BSB BSB: For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came from God.
28 HGLT मैं पिता की ओर से आया हूँ, और मैं इस संसार में आया हूँ। फिर से, मैं इस संसार को छोड़ रहा हूँ और मैं पिता के पास जा रहा हूँ।” BSB BSB: I came from the Father and entered the world. In turn, I will leave the world and go to the Father.”
29 HGLT उसके चेले कहते हैं,“देख, अब तू स्पष्ट रूप से कह रहा है और तू दृष्टांतों में नहीं कह रहा है। BSB BSB: His disciples said, “See, now You are speaking plainly and without figures of speech.
30 HGLT अब हम जानते हैं कि तू सब बातें जानता है, और तुझे आवश्यकता नहीं कि कोई भी तुझ से प्रश्न करे। इससे हम विश्वास करते हैं कि तू परमेश्वर की ओर से आया है।” BSB BSB: Now we understand that You know all things and that You have no need for anyone to question You. Because of this, we believe that You came from God.”
31 HGLT यीशु ने उनको उत्तर दिया,“क्या तुम अब विश्वास करते हो? BSB BSB: “Do you finally believe?” Jesus replied.
32 HGLT देखो, वह समय आ रहा है— और आ पहुँचा है— कि तुम तितर- बितर किए जाओ, हर एक{ अपने} घर को जाए, और तुम मुझे अकेला छोड़ दो। तब पर भी मैं अकेला इसलिए नहीं हूँ, क्योंकि पिता मेरे साथ है। BSB BSB: “Look, an hour is coming and has already come when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and you will leave Me all alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.
33 HGLT मैंने यह बातें तुम से इसलिए कहीं ताकि तुम को मुझ में शान्ति मिले। संसार में तुम को परेशानियाँ मिलती है, परन्तु हियाव बांधो, मैंने संसार को जीत लिया है।” BSB BSB: I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!”
