When they said, ‘He is not here,’ he made that kingdom or nation swear that they had not found you.
11 IEV अब तू मुझसे कह रहा है,‘जा और अपने स्वामी से कह कि एलिय्याह यहाँ है।’ BSB BSB: And now you say, ‘Go tell your master that Elijah is here!’

Let the prophets of Baal choose one bull for themselves, cut it into pieces, and place it on the wood but not light the fire. And I will prepare the other bull and place it on the wood but not light the fire.

Perhaps he is deep in thought, or occupied, or on a journey. Perhaps he is sleeping and must be awakened!”
28 IEV वे ऊँचे स्वर से चिल्लाए। जब उन्होंने बाल की पूजा की, तो अपनी प्रथा के अनुसार अपना शरीर तलवार और बर्छी से गोदने लगे। उनके शरीर से रक्त बहने लगा। BSB BSB: So they shouted louder and cut themselves with knives and lances, as was their custom, until the blood gushed over them.

38 IEV तुरन्त आकाश से यहोवा की ओर से आग गिरी। आग ने माँस के टुकड़ों, लकड़ी, पत्थरों और वेदी के चारों ओर की धूल को जला दिया। उसने नाली के सम्पूर्ण पानी तक को सुखा दिया। BSB BSB: Then the fire of the LORD fell and consumed the sacrifice, the wood, the stones, and the dust, and it licked up the water in the trench.
