So he sent messengers and instructed them: “Go inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I will recover from this injury.”

4 IEV यहोवा कहते हैं कि तुझे राजा अहज्याह को यह बताना है कि उसका घाव ठीक नहीं होगा; वह निश्चय ही मर जाएगा।” BSB BSB: Therefore this is what the LORD says: ‘You will not get up from the bed on which you are lying. You will surely die.’” So Elijah departed.

Therefore you will not get up from the bed on which you are lying. You will surely die.’”

So the captain went up to Elijah, who was sitting on top of a hill, and said to him, “Man of God, the king declares, ‘Come down!’”

And the captain said to Elijah, “Man of God, the king declares, ‘Come down at once!’”
12 IEV परन्तु एलिय्याह ने उत्तर दिया,“मैं एक भविष्यद्वक्ता हूँ, इसलिए मैं आदेश देता हूँ कि आग आकाश से नीचे आए और तुझे और तेरे सैनिकों को मार डाले!” तब परमेश्वर की ओर से आग आकाश से नीचे आई और उस अधिकारी और उसके सैनिकों को मार डाला। BSB BSB: Again Elijah replied, “If I am a man of God, may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men.” And the fire of God came down from heaven and consumed the captain and his fifty men.

And the third captain went up, fell on his knees before Elijah, and begged him, “Man of God, may my life and the lives of these fifty servants of yours please be precious in your sight.

16 IEV जब एलिय्याह पहुँचा, तो उसने राजा से कहा,“यहोवा यही कहते हैं:‘तूने एक्रोन जाने के लिए दूत भेजे, कि वे उनके देवता बाल- जबूब से पूछें कि क्या तू ठीक हो पाएगा या नहीं। तूने ऐसा कार्य किया है जैसे कि इस्राएल में परामर्श के लिए कोई परमेश्वर नहीं है। इसलिए तेरा घाव ठीक नहीं होगा; इसकी अपेक्षा, तू मर ही जाएगा।’” BSB BSB: And Elijah said to King Ahaziah, “This is what the LORD says: Is there really no God in Israel for you to inquire of His word? Is that why you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you will not get up from the bed on which you are lying. You will surely die.”
17 IEV तब अहज्याह की मृत्यु हो गई, जैसा कि यहोवा ने एलिय्याह से कहा था। अहज्याह का छोटा भाई योराम नया राजा बना, उस समय में यहोशापात का पुत्र यहोराम लगभग दो वर्षों से यहूदा पर शासन कर रहा था। अहज्याह का भाई राजा बना क्योंकि राजा बनने के लिए अहज्याह के कोई पुत्र नहीं था। BSB BSB: So Ahaziah died according to the word of the LORD that Elijah had spoken. And since he had no son, Jehoram succeeded him in the second year of the reign of Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat over Judah.
