6 IEV उसने अपने पुत्र को भी बलि करके आग में जला दिया। उसने तन्त्र मन्त्र और भूत सिद्धि करने वालों द्वारा अनुष्ठान करवाया। उसने कई ऐसे कार्य किये जो यहोवा ने कहा था कि बुरे हैं और ऐसे कार्य जिनसे क्रोधित होते थे। BSB BSB: He sacrificed his own son in the fire, practiced sorcery and divination, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did great evil in the sight of the LORD, provoking Him to anger.
7 IEV उसने मन्दिर में देवी अशेरा की मूर्ति रखी, जिस स्थान के लिए यहोवा ने दाऊद और उसके पुत्र सुलैमान से कहा था,“मेरा भवन यरूशलेम में होगा। यह वह शहर है जो इस्राएल के बारह गोत्रों कि सम्पूर्ण भूमि में, जहाँ मैं चाहता हूँ कि लोग सदा मेरी आराधना करें। BSB BSB: Manasseh even took the carved Asherah pole he had made and set it up in the temple, of which the LORD had said to David and his son Solomon, “In this temple and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will establish My Name forever.

9 IEV परन्तु लोगों ने यहोवा पर ध्यान नहीं दिया। मनश्शे ने उन्हें ऐसे पाप करने के लिए प्रेरित किया जो उन जातियों के पापों से भी अधिक बुरे थे जिन्हें यहोवा ने उस देश से बाहर निकाला था जब इस्राएली लोग उसमें प्रवेश कर रहे थे। BSB BSB: But the people did not listen and Manasseh led them astray, so that they did greater evil than the nations that the LORD had destroyed before the Israelites.

12 IEV इस कारण, मैं, यहोवा, जिस परमेश्वर की तुम इस्राएली लोग आराधना करते हो, तुमसे कहता हूँ: मैं यरूशलेम और यहूदा पर विनाश लाने वाला हूँ। यह भयानक होगा, जिसको सुन कर मनुष्य चकित होगा। BSB BSB: this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Behold, I am bringing such calamity upon Jerusalem and Judah that the news will reverberate in the ears of all who hear it.
13 IEV मैं यरूशलेम के लोगों का न्याय करूँगा और उन्हें दण्ड दूँगा क्योंकि मैंने इस्राएल के राजा अहाब के परिवार को दण्डित किया था। मैं यरूशलेम के लोगों को हटा दूँगा और ऐसा कर दूँगा जैसे लोग थाली को साफ करते हैं और फिर उसे पलट कर रख देते हैं यह दिखाने के लिए कि वे अब संतुष्ट हैं। BSB BSB: I will stretch out over Jerusalem the measuring line used against Samaria and the plumb line used against the house of Ahab, and I will wipe out Jerusalem as one wipes out a bowl—wiping it and turning it upside down.

15 IEV मैं ऐसा करूँगा क्योंकि मेरे लोगों ने ऐसे कार्य किये हैं जो मैं कहता हूँ कि बहुत बुरे हैं, जिन कार्यों ने मुझे बहुत क्रोधित किया है। वे मिस्र से निकलने के समय से ही मुझे निरन्तर क्रोधित करते रहे हैं।” BSB BSB: because they have done evil in My sight and have provoked Me to anger from the day their fathers came out of Egypt until this day.’”
16 IEV मनश्शे ने अपने अधिकारियों को यरूशलेम में कई निर्दोष लोगों को मारने का आदेश दिया, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप उनका खून सड़कों पर बह गया। इसके अतिरिक्त उसने यहूदा के लोगों को कई ऐसे कार्यों को करने के लिए यह भी प्रेरित किया जिन्हें यहोवा ने कहा कि वे बुरे है। BSB BSB: Moreover, Manasseh shed so much innocent blood that he filled Jerusalem from end to end, in addition to the sin that he had caused Judah to commit, doing evil in the sight of the LORD.

18 IEV मनश्शे की मृत्यु हो गई और उसे अपने महल के बाहर बगीचे में दफनाया गया, जो उज्जा ने बनाया था। तब उसका पुत्र आमोन राजा बन गया। BSB BSB: And Manasseh rested with his fathers and was buried in his palace garden, the garden of Uzza. And his son Amon reigned in his place.

His mother’s name was Meshullemeth daughter of Haruz; she was from Jotbah.

22 IEV उसने यहोवा को त्याग दिया, जिस परमेश्वर की तुम्हारे पूर्वजों ने आराधना की थी, और वैसा व्यवहार नहीं किया जैसा यहोवा चाहते थे कि वह करे। BSB BSB: He abandoned the LORD, the God of his fathers, and did not walk in the way of the LORD.
23 IEV फिर एक दिन उसके कुछ अधिकारियों ने उसे मारने की योजना बनाई। उन्होंने महल में उसे मार डाला। BSB BSB: Then the servants of Amon conspired against him and killed the king in his palace.
24 IEV परन्तु यहूदा के लोगों ने उन सबको मार डाला जिन्होंने राजा आमोन की हत्या कर दी थी, और उसने अपने पुत्र योशिय्याह को राजा बना दिया। BSB BSB: But the people of the land killed all those who had conspired against King Amon, and they made his son Josiah king in his place.
