6 IEV जब मैं बड़े ध्यान से इसे देख रहा था, मैंने कुछ पालतू पशु और साथ ही कुछ जंगली पशु, रेंगने वाले जन्तु, और जंगली पक्षियों को देखा। BSB BSB: I looked at it closely and saw four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, reptiles, and birds of the air.
7 IEV तब मैंने यह आवाज भी सुना,‘पतरस, उठ जा, इनको मार और खा!’ BSB BSB: Then I heard a voice saying to me, ‘Get up, Peter, kill and eat.’
8 IEV परन्तु मैंने उत्तर दिया,‘हे प्रभु, निश्चय ही आप नहीं चाहते हो कि मैं ऐसा करूँ, क्योंकि मैंने कभी भी ऐसा कुछ नहीं खाया है जिसके विषय में हमारी व्यवस्था कहती है कि हमें नहीं खाना चाहिए!’ BSB BSB: ‘No, Lord,’ I said, ‘for nothing impure or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’
9 IEV परमेश्वर ने मुझसे स्वर्ग से दूसरी बार कहा,‘मैं परमेश्वर हूँ, इसलिए यदि मैंने कुछ खाने को स्वीकार्य बनाया है, तो यह मत कह कि वह अस्वीकार्य है।’ BSB BSB: But the voice spoke from heaven a second time, ‘Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.’
10 IEV बिलकुल यही बात दो बार और हुई, और फिर उन सभी पशुओं और पक्षियों के साथ चादर फिर से स्वर्ग में खींच लिया गया। BSB BSB: This happened three times, and everything was drawn back up into heaven.
11 IEV उसी क्षण में, कैसरिया से भेजे गए तीन व्यक्ति उस घर पर पहुँचे जहाँ मैं ठहरा हुआ था। BSB BSB: Just then three men sent to me from Caesarea stopped at the house where I was staying.
12 IEV पवित्र- आत्मा ने मुझे बताया कि मुझे उनके साथ जाने में संकोच नहीं करना चाहिए। छः यहूदी विश्वासी भी मेरे साथ कैसरिया गए, और फिर हम उस गैर- यहूदी व्यक्ति के घर में गए। BSB BSB: The Spirit told me to accompany them without hesitation. These six brothers also went with me, and we entered the man’s home.
14 IEV वह तुझे बताएगा कि तू और तेरे घर के सब लोग कैसे बच सकेंगे। BSB BSB: He will convey to you a message by which you and all your household will be saved.’
15 IEV जैसे ही मैंने बोलना आरम्भ किया, अचानक पवित्र- आत्मा उन पर उतर आए, जैसे पहले हमारे ऊपर उतर आए थे। BSB BSB: As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, just as He had fallen upon us at the beginning.
16 IEV फिर मुझे स्मरण आया कि प्रभु ने क्या कहा था:‘यूहन्ना ने तुम्हें पानी से बपतिस्मा दिया, परन्तु परमेश्वर तुमको पवित्र- आत्मा से बपतिस्मा देंगे।’ BSB BSB: Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’
17 IEV परमेश्वर ने उन गैर- यहूदियों को वही पवित्र- आत्मा दिया जो उन्होंने हमें दिए थे जब हमने प्रभु यीशु मसीह पर विश्वास किया था। तो मैं कौन था जो परमेश्वर को रोक सकता था?” BSB BSB: So if God gave them the same gift He gave us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to hinder the work of God?”
18 IEV पतरस की बातों को सुनने के बाद, उन यहूदी विश्वासियों ने उसकी निन्दा करना बन्द कर दिया। इसकी अपेक्षा, उन्होंने परमेश्वर की स्तुति करते हुए कहा,“फिर यह हमारे लिए स्पष्ट है कि परमेश्वर गैर- यहूदियों को भी स्वीकार करते हैं कि वे अनन्त जीवन पाए, यदि वे अपने पापी व्यवहार से मुड़ें।” BSB BSB: When they heard this, they had no further objections, and they glorified God, saying, “So then, God has granted even the Gentiles repentance unto life.”

21 IEV प्रभु शक्तिशाली रूप से उन विश्वासियों को प्रभावी प्रचार के लिए क्षमता प्रदान कर रहे थे। इसका परिणाम यह हुआ कि बहुत से गैर- यहूदी लोगों ने उनके सन्देश को ग्रहण करके प्रभु पर भरोसा किया। BSB BSB: The hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord.
22 IEV यरूशलेम की कलीसिया ने लोगों को कहते सुना कि अन्ताकिया में बहुत से लोग यीशु में विश्वास कर रहे हैं। इसलिए यरूशलेम में विश्वासियों के अगुओं ने बरनबास को अन्ताकिया भेजा। BSB BSB: When news of this reached the ears of the church in Jerusalem, they sent Barnabas to Antioch.
23 IEV जब वह वहाँ पहुँचा, तो उसने अनुभव किया कि परमेश्वर ने विश्वासियों के प्रति कृपापूर्वक कार्य किया है। इसलिए वह बहुत प्रसन्न था, और वह सब विश्वासियों को प्रभु यीशु में पूरी तरह भरोसा करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित कर रहा था। BSB BSB: When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and encouraged them all to abide in the Lord with all their hearts.
24 IEV बरनबास एक अच्छा व्यक्ति था जो पूरी तरह से पवित्र- आत्मा के नियंत्रण में था, और परमेश्वर पर पूरा भरोसा रखता था। बरनबास ने जो किया, उसके कारण वहाँ कई लोगों ने प्रभु पर विश्वास किया। BSB BSB: Barnabas was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord.
25 IEV तब बरनबास शाऊल की खोज में किलिकिया के तरसुस शहर में चला गया। BSB BSB: Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul,
26 IEV जब वह उसे मिला, तो बरनबास उसे विश्वासियों को सिखाने में सहायता करने के लिए अन्ताकिया में लौटा लाया। अत: पूरे एक वर्ष तक बरनबास और शाऊल वहाँ कलीसिया के साथ नियमित रूप से मिलते रहे और यीशु के विषय में बड़ी संख्या में लोगों को सिखाते रहे। यह अन्ताकिया में था कि शिष्यों को पहली बार मसीही कहा गया था। BSB BSB: and when he found him, he brought him back to Antioch. So for a full year they met together with the church and taught large numbers of people. The disciples were first called Christians at Antioch.
27 IEV उन्हीं दिनों में कई भविष्यद्वक्ता यरूशलेम से अन्ताकिया में आए। BSB BSB: In those days some prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.
28 IEV उनमें से एक, जिसका नाम अगबुस था, बोलने के लिए उठ खड़ा हुआ। पवित्र- आत्मा ने उसे भविष्यद्वाणी की क्षमता प्रदान की उसने कहा कि शीघ्र ही कई देशों में अकाल होगा।(यह अकाल तब हुआ जब क्लौदियुस रोमी राजा था।) BSB BSB: One of them named Agabus stood up and predicted through the Spirit that a great famine would sweep across the whole world. (This happened under Claudius.)
29 IEV अगबुस ने जो कहा था जब वहाँ के विश्वासियों ने सुना, तो उन्होंने निर्णय लिया कि वे यहूदिया में रहने वाले विश्वासियों की सहायता करने के लिए पैसे भेजेंगे। उनमें से हर एक ने अपनी क्षमता के अनुसार पैसा देने का निर्णय लिया। BSB BSB: So the disciples, each according to his ability, decided to send relief to the brothers living in Judea.
30 IEV उन्होंने बरनबास और शाऊल के हाथ यरूशलेम में विश्वासियों के अगुओं को पैसा भेज दिया। BSB BSB: This they did, sending their gifts to the elders with Barnabas and Saul.
