For I will unleash a sword behind them.
3 IEV परन्तु अपने कुछ बाल अपनी आस्तीन में बाँध लेना। BSB BSB: But you are to take a few strands of hair and secure them in the folds of your garment.

For her people have rejected My ordinances and have not walked in My statutes.’
7 IEV इस कारण, मैं, यहोवा परमेश्वर, यही कहता हूँ: तुम, यरूशलेम के लोगों तुम अपने आस- पास के देशों के लोगों से अधिक विद्रोही हो गए हो; तुमने मेरे किसी भी नियम का पालन नहीं किया है। यहाँ तक कि तुमने अपने आस- पास के देशों के नियमों का पालन भी नहीं किया है! BSB BSB: Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘You have been more insubordinate than the nations around you; you have not walked in My statutes or kept My ordinances, nor have you even conformed to the ordinances of the nations around you.’
8 IEV इस कारण, मैं, यहोवा परमेश्वर, यह कहता हूँ: मैं तुम यरूशलेम के लोगों का विरोध करता हूँ। मैं तुमको दण्ड दूँगा और अन्य देशों के लोग इसे देखेंगे। BSB BSB: Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Behold, I Myself am against you, Jerusalem, and I will execute judgments among you in the sight of the nations.
9 IEV तुम्हारी घृणित मूर्तियों और प्रथाओं के कारण, मैं तुम यरूशलेम के लोगों को ऐसा दण्ड दूँगा जैसा मैंने पहले कभी नहीं किया है और फिर कभी नहीं करूँगा। BSB BSB: Because of all your abominations, I will do to you what I have never done before and will never do again.

12 IEV तुम्हारे लोगों में से एक तिहाई लोग विपत्ति का सामना करने से, या अकाल के कारण शहर में ही मर जाएँगे। तुम्हारे लोगों का एक तिहाई भाग शहर के बाहर अपने शत्रुओं की तलवार से मारा जाएगा। और एक तिहाई हर दिशा में तितर बितर किया जाएगा, परन्तु तुम्हारे शत्रु तब भी तुम्हारा पीछा करेंगे और तुमको अपनी तलवार से मार देंगे। BSB BSB: A third of your people will die by plague or be consumed by famine within you, a third will fall by the sword outside your walls, and a third I will scatter to every wind and unleash a sword behind them.
13 IEV तब मैं तुमसे और क्रोधित नहीं रहूँगा; तुमसे अपना बदला लेने के बाद मैं तुमको दण्ड देना समाप्त कर दूँगा। और जब मैं तुमको दण्ड देना समाप्त कर दूँगा, तब तुम जानोगे कि मुझ, यहोवा ने तुमसे बात की है क्योंकि मैंने तुमको अपने क्रोध में दण्ड देना समाप्त कर दिया है। BSB BSB: And when My anger is spent and I have vented My wrath against them, I will be appeased. And when I have spent My wrath on them, they will know that I, the LORD, in My zeal have spoken.
14 IEV मैं तुम्हारा शहर एक खण्डहर बना दूँगा, जिससे कि तुम्हारे आस- पास के देशों के लोग इसके पास से आते- जाते समय इसे देखेंगे और तुम्हारा उपहास करेंगे। BSB BSB: I will make you a ruin and a disgrace among the nations around you, in the sight of all who pass by.
15 IEV वे तुमको तुच्छ जानेंगे और तुम्हारा उपहास करेंगे। जब मैं अपने बड़े क्रोध के कारण तुमको गम्भीर दण्ड दूँगा, तब वे भयभीत होंगे और तुम उनके लिए एक चेतावनी ठहरोगे। यह निश्चय ही होगा क्योंकि मैं, यहोवा, यह कहता हूँ। BSB BSB: So you will be a reproach and a taunt, a warning and a horror to the nations around you, when I execute judgments against you in anger, wrath, and raging fury. I, the LORD, have spoken.
16 IEV और जब मैं तुम्हारी भोजन की आपूर्ति काट दूँगा और वहाँ अकाल पड़ने दूँगा, तब यह ऐसा होगा जैसे मैं तुमको अपने तीरों से मार रहा हूँ जो तुमको नष्ट कर देंगे। BSB BSB: When I shower you with the deadly arrows of famine and destruction that I will send to destroy you, I will intensify the famine against you and cut off your supply of food.
17 IEV इसलिए मैं तुमको अकाल का सामना करने दूँगा, और मैं जंगली जानवरों को तुम पर और तुम्हारे बच्चों पर आक्रमण करने के लिए भेजूँगा, और तुम्हारे सब बच्चे मारे जाएँगे। तुम विपत्तियों और युद्धों का सामना करोगे, और मैं तुम्हारे शत्रुओं को तलवारों से तुम पर आक्रमण करने दूँगा। यह निश्चय ही होगा क्योंकि मुझ, यहोवा, ने यह कहा है।” BSB BSB: I will send famine and wild beasts against you, and they will leave you childless. Plague and bloodshed will sweep through you, and I will bring a sword against you. I, the LORD, have spoken.”
