1 IEV यीशु को फरीसियों के विषय में मालूम हुआ कि उन्होंने जान लिया है कि यीशु यूहन्ना बपतिस्मा देने वाले की तुलना में अधिक अनुयाई बना रहे हैं और वह यूहन्ना की तुलना में अधिक लोगों को बपतिस्मा दे रहे हैं; BSB BSB: When Jesus realized that the Pharisees were aware He was gaining and baptizing more disciples than John
2 IEV पर यीशु स्वयं बपतिस्मा नहीं दे रहे थे; उनके शिष्य ऐसा कर रहे थे। BSB BSB: (although it was not Jesus who baptized, but His disciples),
3 IEV इसलिए यीशु और उनके शिष्यों ने यहूदिया के क्षेत्र को छोड़ दिया और एक बार फिर गलील में लौट आए। BSB BSB: He left Judea and returned to Galilee.
4 IEV अब उन्हें सामरिया के क्षेत्र से जाना था। BSB BSB: Now He had to pass through Samaria.
5 IEV इसलिए वे सामरिया के क्षेत्र में सूखार नामक एक नगर में पहुँचे। सूखार उस भूमि के पास था जो याकूब ने अपने पुत्र यूसुफ को बहुत समय पहले दिया था। BSB BSB: So He came to a town of Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground that Jacob had given to his son Joseph.
6 IEV सूखार शहर के बाहर याकूब का कुआँ था। यीशु अपनी लम्बी यात्रा से बहुत थक गए थे और वह कुएँ के पास विश्राम करने के लिए बैठ गए। यह लगभग दोपहर का समय था। BSB BSB: Since Jacob’s well was there, Jesus, weary from His journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour.
7 IEV सामरिया की एक स्त्री कुएँ से जल भरने के लिए आई। यीशु ने उससे कहा,“मुझे थोड़ा जल पिला।” BSB BSB: When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.”
8 IEV उनके शिष्यों ने उनको अकेला छोड़ दिया था क्योंकि वे शहर में भोजन मोल लेने के लिए गए थे। BSB BSB: (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)
9 IEV उस स्त्री ने उनसे कहा,“मुझे आश्चर्य है कि आप, एक यहूदी; सामरिया कि एक स्त्री से जल पीने के लिए माँग रहे हैं।” BSB BSB: “You are a Jew,” said the woman. “How can You ask for a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)
10 IEV यीशु ने उसे उत्तर दिया,“यदि तुझे पता होता की परमेश्वर तुझे कौन- सा उपहार देना चाहते हैं और यदि तू जानती कि तुझ से कौन जल पीने के लिए माँग रहा है, तो तू मुझसे जल पीने के लिए माँगती और मैं तुझे जीवन का जल देता।” BSB BSB: Jesus answered, “If you knew the gift of God and who is asking you for a drink, you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”
11 IEV “महोदय, आपके पास बाल्टी या रस्सी नहीं है जिसके द्वारा जल को कुएँ से बाहर निकाल सकोगे और यह कुआँ गहरा है। आप इस जीवन के जल को कहाँ से ले पाएँगे? BSB BSB: “Sir,” the woman replied, “You have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where then will You get this living water?
12 IEV आप हमारे पिता याकूब से महान नहीं हो सकते जिसने यह कुआँ खोदा जिसे हम आज तक उपयोग कर रहे है, जहाँ से उसने स्वयं जल पिया और उसके बच्चों और पशुओं ने भी पिया था।” BSB BSB: Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us this well and drank from it himself, as did his sons and his livestock?”
13 IEV यीशु ने उससे कहा,“जो कोई इस कुएँ से जल पीता है, वह फिर से प्यासा होगा, BSB BSB: Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again.
14 IEV परन्तु जो लोग वह जल पीते हैं जो मैं उन्हें दूँगा तो वे फिर कभी प्यासे नहीं होंगे। जो जल मैं उनको देता हूँ वह जल का सोता बन जाएगा जो उन्हें भर देगा और उन्हें अनन्त जीवन प्रदान करेगा।” BSB BSB: But whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a fount of water springing up to eternal life.”
15 IEV उस स्त्री ने उनसे कहा, हे महोदय, मुझे यह जल दे दें, कि मैं कभी भी प्यासी ना रहूँ या मुझे जल निकालने के लिए यहाँ फिर से आना ना पड़े। BSB BSB: The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water so that I will not get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.”
16 IEV तब उन्होंने उससे कहा,“पुत्री, जा और अपने पति को यहाँ ले आ।” BSB BSB: Jesus told her, “Go, call your husband and come back.”
17 IEV उस स्त्री ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया,“मेरा कोई पति नहीं है।” यीशु ने उससे कहा,“तू सही कह रही है कि तेरा कोई पति नहीं है, BSB BSB: “I have no husband,” the woman replied. Jesus said to her, “You are correct to say that you have no husband.
18 IEV क्योंकि तेरा केवल एक पति नहीं पाँच पति थे और अब जिस व्यक्ति के साथ तू रह रही है वह भी तेरा पति नहीं है। तूने पति न होने की बात जो कही है वह सच है।” BSB BSB: In fact, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. You have spoken truthfully.”
19 IEV स्त्री ने उनसे कहा, हे महोदय, मैं लगता है कि आप एक भविष्यद्वक्ता हैं। BSB BSB: “Sir,” the woman said, “I see that You are a prophet.
21 IEV यीशु ने उससे कहा,“पुत्री, मुझ पर विश्वास कर जब मैं कहता हूँ कि ऐसा समय आने वाला है जब न तो इस पर्वत पर और ना ही यरूशलेम में लोग पिता की आराधना करेंगे। BSB BSB: “Believe Me, woman,” Jesus replied, “a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.
23 IEV समय आ रहा है वरन् आ गया है जब परमेश्वर की आराधना करने वाले लोग आत्मिकता और सच्चाई से पिता की आराधना करेंगे। पिता ऐसे लोगों की खोज करते हैं कि वे इस प्रकार उनकी आराधना करें। BSB BSB: But a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such as these to worship Him.
24 IEV परमेश्वर आत्मा हैं, और जो लोग उनकी आराधना करते हैं, उन्हें आत्मिक रूप से उनकी आराधना करनी चाहिए, और आवश्यक है कि सच आराधना में उनकी अगुवाई करे।” BSB BSB: God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship Him in spirit and in truth.”
25 IEV स्त्री ने उनसे कहा,“मुझे पता है कि मसीह आ रहे हैं(जिन्हें“ख्रिस्त” भी कहा जाता है)। जब वह आएँगे, तो वह हमें सब कुछ बताएँगे जिसको सुनने की हमें आवश्यकता है।” BSB BSB: The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When He comes, He will explain everything to us.”
26 IEV “यीशु ने उससे कहा,” मैं, जो तुमसे अभी बात कर रहा हूँ, मैं वही हूँ।” BSB BSB: Jesus answered, “I who speak to you am He.”
27 IEV तभी, शिष्य शहर से वापस आए। वे चकित थे कि यीशु एक स्त्री से बात कर रहे थे जो उनके परिवार की सदस्य नहीं थी(यह यहूदी रिवाज के विरुद्ध था।) परन्तु, कोई भी इतना साहसी नहीं था, कि उनसे पूछताछ करें।“आप उस स्त्री से क्या बात कर रहे थे?” या“आप उसके साथ क्यों बात कर रहे थे?” BSB BSB: Just then His disciples returned and were surprised that He was speaking with a woman. But no one asked Him, “What do You want from her?” or “Why are You talking with her?”
28 IEV उस स्त्री ने वहाँ अपना जल का मटका छोड़ा और वापस शहर में चली गयी। उसने शहर के लोगों से कहा, BSB BSB: Then the woman left her water jar, went back into the town, and said to the people,
29 IEV “आओ और एक ऐसे मनुष्य को देखो जिन्होंने मुझे वह सब बताया जो कुछ आज तक मैंने किया है! वह मसीह नहीं हो सकते, क्या वह हो सकते हैं? BSB BSB: “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Christ?”
30 IEV बहुत से लोग शहर से बाहर जाने लगे, जहाँ यीशु थे। BSB BSB: So they left the town and made their way toward Jesus.
31 IEV “उनके शिष्य, जो भोजन के साथ वापस आए ही थे, उन्होंने आग्रह किया,“हे रब्बी, कुछ खा लीजिए।” BSB BSB: Meanwhile the disciples urged Him, “Rabbi, eat something.”
32 IEV यीशु ने उनसे कहा,“मेरे पास खाने के लिए भोजन है जिसके विषय में तुम कुछ भी नहीं जानते।” BSB BSB: But He told them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.”
33 IEV “इसलिए वे एक दूसरे से कहने लगे,” कोई और उनके लिए कुछ खाने को नहीं ला सकता, क्या ला सकता है?” BSB BSB: So the disciples asked one another, “Could someone have brought Him food?”
34 IEV यीशु ने कहा,“मैं बताता हूँ कि मैं सबसे अधिक किसके लिए भूखा हूँ: अर्थात् वह कार्य करने के लिए जो मेरे पिता चाहते है और उनके सारे कार्य को पूरा करने के लिए जिन्होंने मुझे भेजा है। BSB BSB: Jesus explained, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work.
35 IEV वर्ष के इस समय तुम कहते हो,‘चार महीने शेष हैं, और उसके बाद हम फसल काटेंगे।’ अभी भी अपने चारों ओर देखो! इस समय फसल कटने के लिए तैयार हैं। BSB BSB: Do you not say, ‘There are still four months until the harvest’? I tell you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are ripe for harvest.
36 IEV जो इस पर विश्वास करता है और इस प्रकार के खेत में कार्य करने के लिए तैयार है वह पहले से ही अपनी मजदूरी प्राप्त कर रहा है और अनन्त जीवन के लिए बहुत फल एकत्र कर रहा है। जो बीज बोते हैं और जो लोग फसल काटते हैं, वे एक साथ आनन्दित होंगे। BSB BSB: Already the reaper draws his wages and gathers a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may rejoice together.
37 IEV एक व्यक्ति बीज बोता है, और दूसरा व्यक्ति फसलों की कटनी करता है। BSB BSB: For in this case the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ is true.
38 IEV मैंने तुमको खेत से फसल एकत्र करने के लिए भेजा है जिसे तुमने नहीं लगाया। दूसरों ने बहुत परिश्रम किया है, तुम उनके परिश्रम के फल में भागी हुए।” BSB BSB: I sent you to reap what you have not worked for; others have done the hard work, and now you have taken up their labor.”
39 IEV सूखार शहर में रहने वाले कई सामरियों ने यीशु पर विश्वास किया क्योंकि उन्होंने जो भी यीशु के विषय में उस स्त्री से सुना था उसने कहा था,“उन्होंने मुझे सब कुछ बताया जो मैंने आज तक किया है।” BSB BSB: Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in Jesus because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.”
40 IEV जब सामरी लोग यीशु के पास आए, तब उन्होंने उनसे लम्बे समय तक वहाँ रहने का आग्रह किया; तो वह दो दिन और वहाँ रहे। BSB BSB: So when the Samaritans came to Him, they asked Him to stay with them, and He stayed two days.
41 IEV उनमें से बहुतों ने यीशु पर उनके वचनों के कारण विश्वास किया BSB BSB: And many more believed because of His message.
42 IEV उन्होंने उस स्त्री से कहा,“हम यीशु पर विश्वास करते हैं, इसलिए नहीं कि जो तूने उनके विषय में बताया है, परन्तु इसलिए कि हमने स्वयं उनका सन्देश सुना है। अब हम जानते हैं कि यह सचमुच संसार के उद्धारकर्ता हैं।” BSB BSB: They said to the woman, “We now believe not only because of your words; we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man truly is the Savior of the world.”
43 IEV दो दिन बाद, यीशु और उसके शिष्य सामरिया से गलील चले गए। BSB BSB: After two days, Jesus left for Galilee.
44 IEV (यीशु ने स्वयं यह पुष्टि की कि एक भविष्यद्वक्ता को कई स्थानों पर सम्मान मिलता है, परन्तु वहाँ नहीं जहाँ वह पला- बढ़ा हो) BSB BSB: Now He Himself had testified that a prophet has no honor in his own hometown.
45 IEV जब वह गलील में पहुँचे, तो बहुत से लोगों ने वहाँ उनका स्वागत किया, वे जानते थे कि वह कौन है क्योंकि उन्होंने हाल ही में हुए फसह के पर्व के समय यरूशलेम में जो कुछ यीशु ने किया था, उसे देखा था। BSB BSB: Yet when He arrived, the Galileans welcomed Him. They had seen all the great things He had done in Jerusalem at the feast, for they had gone there as well.
46 IEV फिर यीशु गलील में काना के पास गए।(यह वही स्थान था जहाँ उन्होंने जल को दाखरस में बदल दिया था।) राजा का एक अधिकारी जो सत्ताईस किलोमीटर दूर कफरनहूम में रहता था, उसका पुत्र बहुत बीमार था। BSB BSB: So once again He came to Cana in Galilee, where He had turned the water into wine. And there was a royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum.
47 IEV जब उस व्यक्ति ने सुना की यीशु यहूदिया से गलील में लौट आए हैं, तो वह काना में यीशु के पास गया और उनसे विनती की,“कफरनहूम में आकर मेरे पुत्र को स्वस्थ कर दें।” वह मरने वाला है!” BSB BSB: When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went and begged Him to come down and heal his son, who was about to die.
48 IEV यीशु ने उससे कहा,“जब तक तू मुझे वह कार्य करते हुए ना देख ले, जो सिद्ध करती हैं कि मैं कौन हूँ और मुझे चमत्कार करते हुए ना देख लो, तब तक तुम मुझ पर विश्वास नहीं करोगे!” BSB BSB: Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will never believe.”
49 IEV “फिर भी अधिकारी ने उनसे कहा,” महोदय, मेरे पुत्र के मरने से पहले कृपया मेरे घर चलिए!” BSB BSB: “Sir,” the official said, “come down before my child dies.”
50 IEV यीशु ने उससे कहा,“जा, तेरा पुत्र जीवित रहेगा।” उस व्यक्ति ने यीशु की कही बातों पर विश्वास किया और अपने घर वापस जाने लगा। BSB BSB: “Go,” said Jesus. “Your son will live.” The man took Jesus at His word and departed.
51 IEV जब वह कफरनहूम में अपने घर लौट रहा था, उसके सेवक उससे मार्ग पर मिले। उन्होंने कहा,“तेरा पुत्र जीवित है।” BSB BSB: And while he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was alive.
52 IEV अधिकारी ने उनसे पूछा,“किस समय मेरे पुत्र के स्वास्थ्य में सुधार आया?” उन्होंने उससे कहा,“उसका ज्वर कल दोपहर एक बजे उतर गया था।” BSB BSB: So he inquired as to the hour when his son had recovered, and they told him, “The fever left him yesterday at the seventh hour.”
53 IEV तब लड़के के पिता को समझ में आया कि यही वह समय था जब यीशु ने उससे कहा था,“तेरा पुत्र जीवित रहेगा।” इसलिए उसने अपने घर में रहने वाले हर एक के साथ, यीशु पर विश्वास किया। BSB BSB: Then the father realized that this was the very hour in which Jesus had told him, “Your son will live.” And he and all his household believed.
54 IEV यह दूसरा अद्भुत कार्य था, यह उन्होंने उस समय किया जब वह गलील क्षेत्र के यहूदिया से यात्रा करते हुए आए थे। BSB BSB: This was now the second sign that Jesus performed after coming from Judea into Galilee.
